Professional and affordable phone system for small businesses
Avantages
It allows us to have a toll-free number and individual extensions for our team members who are located throughout the country. We have access to an easy-to-use app so that we never miss calls and never have to wait to be in front of the computer to return calls from the company phone #.
Inconvénients
None that I can think of it. This system is rather efficient and doing everything we need as a small business.

Why Invest in PBX Hardware?
We've used Grasshopper for years and dollar for dollar it has been a great investment.
Avantages
Our company made the move away from a PBX VOIP system years ago opting instead for employee cell phones and Grasshopper. It is much more flexible and economical.
The administration interface is easy to work with. Each user can have their own extension and there is a directory that works by the spelling of the user's last name. You can also set up a roll sequence for incoming calls.
Inconvénients
It is really not the product's fault but you have to teach your users about the way voicemail is handled when using a virtual PBX. Messages coming in via the PBX number and extension are routed through Grasshopper while messages coming from a direct call a handled by the cell carrier.

Grasshopper good for small business
I've been using Grasshopper for over three years and have had no need to switch. I have a toll free line that makes it easy for my customers to reach me across Canada.
Avantages
Grasshopper has a lot of features that I use as a small business. The ability to set the working hours and messages in advance makes controlling my time a lot easier.
Inconvénients
It took a bit of time to set up but besides that, Grasshopper does what it is supposed to. I have been using it for 3 years plus and no issues so far.

The most features for the price
Very positive overall.
Avantages
Grasshopper offers business telephone features that you will pay a lot more for with any other provider. You get a phone number, voicemail, unlimited calling, IVR, multiple extensions, and custom call management.
Inconvénients
Lacks advanced call features you might find with other VOIP providers, and because it's a virtual phone service, you still have to use your mobile phone to answer calls. Also, the Android app is a bit buggy and doesn't always notify me when I've missed a call, so I have to open the app to check it.

Transfer Calls using Grasshopper
Overall, Grasshopper has been great! The call gets transferred with ease and it is always high quality. I have never experience a dropped call while using this software.
Avantages
We use Grasshopper as a means of transferring calls from our main line to specific people in our company.
Grasshopper is great! We've been using it for a long time and it's been easy to use. I only get the transferred calls, but the quality of the calls are great!
Inconvénients
No complaints about Grasshopper. It has great quality even though the call is a transfer form the main line.

Communication on the Go
Grasshopper phone systems supports my on the go business and allows clients to leave messages or send faxes that reach me anywhere I am. I highly recommend this service.

Professional Phone System
Avantages
We used this software for our company to create a customer support line. We really loved the automated greeting we were able to set up for directing callers. It was very easy and made us look professional.
Inconvénients
There are a lot of different options, so initially learning about the product and the options we needed for our company took some time to determine.

Great way to add toll free number to my e-commerce shop.
Avantages
The setup is simple and easy. The ability to choose 800 number. User friendly interface.
Inconvénients
The pricing can increase considerably if you choose more extras.

Easy, functional and good value
We use grasshopper to receive inbound phone calls as we don't have a landline for our company in our current coworking space.
It's easy and straight forward. Prices are rather low.
Avantages
It's a great app and it does what it is supposed to be doing.
Inconvénients
So far there is really nothing that I dislike.

Custom phone numbers to use across platforms
Avantages
Grasshopper is perfect for redirecting phone calls from a custom number and track your efforts across different channels or platforms. It's nice to be able to place a different phone number on a website or flyer without having to release a personal number or use the same one on every deliverable.
Inconvénients
The billing is tricky when you need to set up a different subscription for each number--it would be nice to have bulk options rather than billing for each individual number.
