Avantages

Has a great library of tests, and also has some type of question as QA questions, that are esencial to validate some aspects of the candidate that we couldn't find in other test tools. In less than an hour you can implement a very good questionary base only in the actual Question Library.

Inconvénients

Candidate's evaluation module has some silly issues that make candidates not being able to complete some questions for these reasons, even if they have the knowledge. It's not a big problem because are rare occasions where the candidate couldn't solve the issues, but a better tool will make the experience more satisfactory.

Avantages

TestDome has been an extremely value asset to the engineering teams I lead. I was introduced to it by a colleague years ago and have brought it into 3 more companies. The value it adds and the time it saves in the recruiting process is invaluable. As an engineering leader, I've used other products in the past and find that TestDome is the most reliable and gives the best candidate experience. Plus, it has a diverse list of questions allowing you to pull together a test that is unique and doesn't have to take 2 hours to complete.

Inconvénients

I wish you could get to the cheaper price point without having to buy that large number of tests. It can be hard initially to get buy-in from an organization and getting running with a nice amount of tests would help solidify TestDome's spot in the company. A new user pricing for the first couple of months or packages purchased would be appreciated.

Avantages

TestDome is very user friendly. I appreciate that there are a pool of questions existing in the database, and that you can add your own questions that may be more tailored to the role and/or job competency. I also appreciate that a detailed report is generated, showing where persons fell short against the rubric/ expected answer.

Inconvénients

Sometimes I realise that access to the test ends earlier than expected, however we have been able to have a work around.

The amount and breadth of questions in the library is really great!

The cost is a little confusing and pricing is quite expensive.

Avantages

The price point was one of the main considerations for us, as we don't intend to buy in bulk credits. Hence, TestDome offers the flexibility for us to purchase credits in smaller packages, which works well for us, albeit more expensive per credit. The ease of administration and the good support from customer service make it a breeze to administer the tests remotely. We used to invite candidates to our office to undertake the tests but we had to shift this to TestDome due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Inconvénients

Perhaps the administrative instructions before commencing the test can be clearer? It seems like some of the candidates do not quite understand the requirements, e.g. there is a timer to each question, not that the entire duration indicated by the timer is for the entire test and candidates can pace themselves during the test.

It's very easy to use, it sends notifications (which really helps when it comes to tracking), and you can export the information.
Aside from the platform itself, I really like the availability from people working at test dome, to help us navigate through the platform and creating new tests according to our needs.

Inconvénients

What I like the least about the software, is that questions cannot be translated, and that may affect the comprehension of some questions for non native English speakers.

Avantages

It is an easy way to automate candidate testing. It takes time out of my busy schedule as a recruiter so I don't have to follow up with candidates, go through the test results and then share with the team. I love that I can email the hiring managers a link to look at the candidates' results. I don't think this is a "make it or break it" solution to knowing a candidate's technical ability but it is a great foundational examination.

Inconvénients

I think my only concern is that sometimes it gets sent to Junk/Spam folders so candidates don't see it in their inbox. It also randomly started taking photos of the candidates and that was awkward.
