I needed to set up a complex automated email journey and Campaign Monitor was the only system that was up to the job. I was able to use built in features throughout, and create a highly bespoke experience for my customers, without any need for coding; this was important as I didn't have budget for a developer or consultant to set up a system for me. I'm sure it could still be made a lot easier, but I think this is just the start and look forward to seeing how the system develops. When I needed help along the way the team were extremely quick to respond and took the time to understand my specific technical questions, rather than just sending back a stock answer - overall extremely impressive.

We use Campaign Monitor for many of our clients and send emails for them and set up them to send emails for themselves! It is very user friendly and the pricing model is very good for the small/medium lists that we use.

Professional, flexible software with great support

The features of this software give us greater flexibility to connect with our subscribers. Clean, professional looking product which is easy to navigate and utilise.
We have hit some teething issues when initially transitioning over but the support team has been extremely helpful in assisting us with many of our out of scope requests and recommendations of how we could set up the system to get the most out of our requirements.

Their customer service at all hours is very efficient. This cuts down on the usual waiting periods, lowering time frames of resolution immensely. Even though we have dealt with many from the team, each team member has picked up on our particular scenario quickly and efficiently.

I would (and have) highly recommend Campaign Monitor to others.

I selected Captera after looking at other options and getting opinions from fellow Whisperings Piano Artists. I was looking for a vehicle to announce CD releases and communicate with people who had purchased sheet music and CDs.

I was afraid that I would have to manually enter emails. No worries: Capterra lets me import lists from Excel.

I was concerned about producing graphics. Again, Capterra makes it easy. I just learned how to embed links! It adjusts for mobile devices and also sends text-only messages.

I can set the date and time emails are sent and it's easy to see how many people have opened emails and clicked links. Capterra even lets me see global statistics.

Payment is based upon the number of emails. If you send out infrequent emails ('campaigns') you may find it cheaper to pay by the campaign.

The best (and best looking) EDM software

I have been using Campaign Monitor for about 6-8 years. It's beautifully designed, for the design-minded. In recent years, other players have made up some ground, but no other email software allows for well-designed, professional looking emails that work seamlessly on multiple devices and clients.

Campaign Monitor is aimed at design and creative agencies who send on behalf of clients, but savvy clients (like us) can cut out the middle-man, and use Campaign Monitor directly.

Finally, CM is an Australian success story. Started out by two Sydneysiders in a garage, it's now a global company raking in the customers (and the dough). It also has a reputation for being an amazing place to work.

Campaign Monitor isn't quite the biggest player in the EDM marketplace, but I reckon it might be the best.

We love it!

We switched in 2014 and have been working with Campaign Monitor (CM) ever since. We started several times to connect it to our CRM, but never finished it. We also almost switch to Mail Chimp because there is one specific feature that would help us save time and money considerably: TimeWarp.
Rumor has it that CM is working on a similar feature. The customer service is more than excellent and the addition of new apps make some of the connectivity so much easier.
This year we will also start implementing the new automation features.
The most valuable feature of CM is that anybody in the team can edit content and send it out to review. Saves us a lot of time and man power and removed our web designers from the message creation process as a bottle neck. Keep up the good work and lets timewarp soon!

Not worth what you pay. Emails go to spam (it claims they don't, but the filtering software in most email services kicks it to spam)

Awesome software. Very affordable. Much nicer to use than the others I've tried-- a big leap above. There are some small interface issues that make it 4 stars instead of 5 but once a person learns how it's done those things are not troublesome. Handy iPhone version for tracking effectiveness of campaigns.

Makes very, very nice emails. Does not put a Campaign Monitor badge on everything (like some). Classy and elegant. Plus- GREAT technical support.

Enterprise Friendly and Beautiful Email Campaigns

I used one of the templates for an announcement to our clients. It was relatively easy to use one I understood that there were spacers (hidden until you clicked on them) that controlled the size of things. Once I figured out the rules the rest was easy. Importing email addresses was simple. The data received after the campaign was sent was interesting and informative. All in all a great experience for very little money. Will use it again...
