TrueCoach does the best job helping me connect with my clients. The variety of ways in which I can create touchpoints remotely is incredibly helpful in terms of providing top-notch a service.

Inconvénients

In my opinion, nothing anyone creates will replace the experience of in-person 1-to-1 training. Occasional technical glitches like the site freezing while I am programming a workout can be frustrating but not terrible enough to make me question if I should use another tool.

It makes running my business SO much easier and more professional looking! My clients LOVE it compared to my old school spreadsheet workouts with hyperlinks.

I like the ease of use for both myself and my clients. It's simple to link videos and review their training sessions. They can communicate easily and quickly within the app.

Changing some things within the app that didn't need to be changed. My clients were unaware of some changes that were coming down and caused them to slow down their training sessions for a few days until they got adjusted to the user changes.

Avantages

There are many aspects of True Coach that I love. I love that I can not only attach exercise demo videos for my clients to see, but also that they can also attach videos of themselves doing the exercises for me to give feedback on. Additionally, I like that using the software allows me to keep track of past workouts, PRs, weights that clients used in exercises programmed, etc.. which makes it my job as a coach easier to progress clients appropriately. Furthermore, I just think that using the program appears much more professional than just sending out workouts via email or spreadsheets.

Inconvénients

Honestly there is nothing really that comes to mind that I don't like about this software. Maybe the only thing that would be nice to have would be some sort of way to invoice/collect payment from clients each month or maybe even to just send a reminder to collect payment from clients (even if its though a different app like venmo/paypal).

The Truecoach software's ease of use for both coach and athlete are a game changer. As a business owner, being able to easily create and update programs from my phone while one the go is extremely convenient. Also, my clients love having the ability to watch quick demo videos directly in the app instead of having to google the movement or message me for a reminder.

Inconvénients

Initially, my only concern was the inability to accept payments through the software but that feature was recently added!

There is no other software like this. It makes managing clients very simple and allows for increased client load. After transitioning from google spreadsheets, i have never looked back.

Inconvénients

App has some kinks to work out. Video uploader can be finicky sometimes, especially for longer videos. Exercise search function from programming screen has some issues as well. Constant updating, which is good, but continuous changes to functionality decreases efficiency as well.

True Coach is not only a great library (and one that I can add to) of exercises to use for prescribing training its a system that allows me to keep each one of my clients organized in a way that no other software captures as well.

It would be great if it allowed payment and acted as a CRM. There TRULY is no good fitness CRM--none get the fitness industry and especially not this model. The CRMs out there are based on group fitness model not on individual design.

This feature has made our online systems more manageable and customizable. We’ve been able to reproduce programming for clients on multiple levels and has eased the burden of online training for our staff and coaches.

The client schedule feature gets a little haphazard and hard to manage in regards to scrolling and tracking workouts. Most issues that we have with the system are self-inflicted (ease of use leads to over working, too many forms of communication, etc.)

I would like a video database. Say over a year a client uploads 50-100 videos. Instead of having to find them or download each one it would be great to just have a client video database, where I can see all the videos, and each also has a link that takes me to the workout it represents.

I want an app for the coach for writing workouts on the go. Fortunately, I live a very boring life and am always home so I can typically respond to a client, change a workout on the fly, etc. However on the rare occasion, I go out, and a client needs something changed or just wants a workout that day, an app for the coach would make this much easier obviously.

TrueCoach has a great video library and resources to leverage when building out programs for clients. Adding clients is easy and very intuitive. The flexibility with how to write the workouts is so useful - you can do supersets, circuits or just prescribe simple sets and reps.

Inconvénients

It takes a little getting used to - especially how to move exercises around within a day. Sometimes they get a little buggy and don’t land in the right spot. Another issue is when I copy and past workouts, it jumps a little and I have to pay close attention to what day I am editing - I have caught myself editing the wrong day and having to course correct.
The lack of ability to charge clients through the app is a sore point. Hopefully this update will happen sooner than later. I have held off on trying a 3rd party option and I am getting tired of chasing clients through PayPal. It would be best if it was all through TrueCoach.

It has many features that are extremely helpful to me as the coach and to my clients. I worked for Equinox and this app is WAY better at program building and everything in between! My clients love it, I feel extremely professional and able to truly help my clients reach their goals with the help of this app. Accountability is huge!

I don’t love how you have to refresh the entire app for new notifications to show up. It would be cool if it were more live time or if it updated it by just switching onto another page within the app.
