Avantages

Using TrueCoach for exercise programming for clients has been a breeze. They have easy access to video tutorials for exercise and they have a built in library for various different movements. I really like that I can see when clients complete workouts as well, see their weekly, monthly, and 90 day compliance/adherence rates in addition to any goals provided to them. For nutrition, there is even My Fitness Pal Integration which makes things even easier for clients looking for muscle gain or fat loss. This software has made my job as a fitness coach so much easier.

Inconvénients

At times, the software has frozen/crashed on me while using it with clients and I have lost their progress during the workout. However, these incidences were very rare.

Avantages

I love the ease of attaching videos to movements and receiving videos from clients. I also like being able to save workout templates to assign and edit later.

Inconvénients

I wish there were options to be more social between clients on the platform if they wanted to because this can really help with adherence and retention, even for individual training clients. I also wish that the nutrition side offered more detail - ability to see food logs from MyFitnessPal would be huge and let me get rid of an additional software I have to pay for for this.

Avantages

Truecoach is good for a brand new coach with less than 5 clients, that needs to get organized. After that, the platform gets overwhelmed with its own features and poor design.

Inconvénients

The coaching interface is cumbersome. Programming and tweaking is painful and tedious. It’s like they launched the product, and then stopped improving it. There are 3 platforms that are less expensive and do the same thing, now. And, truecoach had the audacity to raise the price with no improvements, and then roll out features to cost their customers more money each month for services that are easily available for less.

Truecoach is just trying to trap customers into feeling like all their stuff is on one half-baked platform.

Avantages

The ease of use for my clients and myself. Every once in a while, someone gets confused or has a question but TrueCoach has great FAQs that help with most issues. I also love how intuitive the backend is for me. I didn't feel like I had to do much learning to get in the groove of using TrueCoach.

Inconvénients

The payment/subscription set up is not my favorite. I bill my clients bi-weekly or every 4-weeks depending on their package and I have to manually go in and cancel and restart subscriptions each month to make this work with my billing schedule.

Avantages

This software is very simple to understand and use for both trainers and clients. The clients have a nice app to use for their convenience. The exercise library has a very good variety, but if you're not seeing what you're looking for, it is very easy to add new exercises to the library. True Coach makes it easy for my clients and I to communicate through the software to share progress and feedback.

Inconvénients

My only con is that I wish it was slightly less time consuming to create specified programs to input for people.

Avantages

It's so easy for clients/athletes to set themselves up. Understanding and tracking their work/progress is impressively intuitive even for the not-so tech savvy. On the programming/coaching side of things, the browser experience is incredibly smooth. Coaches find ways to make programming more efficient every day!

Inconvénients

The mobile app is great from an athlete standpoint, needs work (start existing!) from a coach/programmer standpoint. Currently, coaches have to program on the browser version on mobile, the UI/UX isn't as seamless as the athlete/client end of things.

I like how easy it is to design programming. I tried multiple softwares and True Coach looked cleanest on the coaching end of things

It is very easy to deliver workouts to all of my clients and they receive daily notifications when they do have a workout in their plan. I don't have to text them individually to make sure to get it done. It's very professional looking and clients love to see the graphs they can create to view their own progress.

Inconvénients

I have 24 clients and I wish I could pay per slot instead of in large groups because I have to pay for six additional slots that I don't use with a 30 person plan

I’m true coach is great for compliance and 2 way reporting client to us.

I love the ease of creating programs and the flexibility to edit the templates I create. I am very happy that my clients enjoy using it too and can navigate the app with ease. I especially like the quality of movement demonstrated in the videos. I find being able to add my own videos essential and I appreciate that feature.

Inconvénients

Some times glitchy. Frustrating to use with my iPad when designing workouts or needing go change something on the fly.

Lack of diversity in body sizes and races in videos.

I wish clients had ability to move a workout to a différente day or edit which day it was completed on if they do a workout from the past.

I would love it if I could hear the app tally total volume of reps and amount of weight lifted as well as more automaticity in programming out acute variables for progressions (the only feature I miss from trainerize).

I need a tutorial on the metrics feature. I need to go see if I can find some help. I really like this feature but haven’t take the time to use it fully.

The client side of the app is fantastic. I enjoy the way communication works and the ease of use for clients. Getting set up and running is fast and simple.

Inconvénients

The most time-consuming part of coaching is getting data into the software and then utilizing said data on the back end. I would like for some form of volume and load management within the software as well as a more "open" means of inputting different data or information to clients.

Everything that you see on their website. Every single thing you see. I love it. It’s designed so marvellously that I couldn’t find 1 thing that I could criticise. I’m a self employed PT and I’m new in the industry. This service made my life and my business so easy. I can’t thank them enough.

Inconvénients

Nothing. It’s all great. Like I said, there is nothing I could like least. Yeah, I would love to see the money transaction thingy for clients so they can pay the PT through the service. Secondly, the text message service would be great. But these are my personal suggestion, not least like.

Avantages

I love that I can add videos for each and every movement I request of my clients so they can see how the movement should be executed. Additionally, the ability for them to add video and enter comments on each of the movements is incredibly helpful for feedback and knowing how to better adjust things for them in the future. The ease of using the app on the client side is great. I have yet to have a complaint on the client side of the use of the system.

Inconvénients

If I click out of the screen while working on programming for a client, the system can be finicky and doesn't always save my work. An auto save option would be a huge help so I don't have to reenter things if what I've entered goes missing.

Avantages

I've been using TrueCoach for 3 years and it's been a great tool for training my clients completely remotely or as an adjunct to the in-person coaching I do with my clients. The software has multiple channels for communication, which is very helpful for staying organized and developing a strong relationship with the clients I coach, especially the clients I train remotely. I like that both myself and my clients can share photos and videos easily. Overall, I would recommend this product to any coach that assigns programs or workouts to their clients.

Inconvénients

Where TrueCoach can improve is on the app used for coaches. I would be nice to be able to program and design workouts from my phone.

-I love that my clients can upload their videos and I am easily able to give them feedback

-The programs feature is crucial for my business!

Inconvénients

-The biggest logistical issue I've run into is adding clients who have used TrueCoach with a different coach. It is always a process of me messaging for help, needing to add the client to the conversation, then you all manually changing the client over to my platform, with additional follow up messages to make sure everything is resolved. It would be great if this process could be automated, for example sending an email to the client saying that I've requested to work with them and have them confirm they'd like to work with me and have their account transferred over.
-Other than that, just additional features! For example, I do sessions and/or calls with my clients. I would like to have a space to upload recordings of the zoom calls and call summaries. Some sort of centralized shared notes space would be great where both of us could comment and edit. This would increase the interactive nature of the platform and allow for additional communication with my clients.
-Expanded video library, there are a good number of exercises I have to find videos for myself, I probably am using the provided video library 50% and my own videos 50%
-A scheduling feature would be great that maybe connected to google calendar, again to keep everything on the same platform
-I currently use a program called coach's eye to analyze my clients' videos and give feedback. It would be cool if there was a feature built into TrueCoach for that

Avantages

I've tried pretty much every software there is out there for fitness trainers and coaches. Even when a new one come alongs that seems like it may be comparable as far as features and ease of use are considered, I'll get a free trial just to see. And TrueCoach by far beats every competitor in my mind and experience. The functionality and customization in the ability to adjust programs, videos, text, workouts, etc., nobody else can touch. It's the simplest and easiest software to use. They continue to make additions such as the MyFitnessPal and Stripe integrations that make it possible for you to do more and more in there. They allow me to deliver content to my clients that aren't even workouts (which is so helpful), such as nutrition guides, resources, web links, and I can do check ins within the app, and so much more. TrueCoach allows me to continue scaling my business in bringing on more clients without ever having to worry about the software not being able to keep up. TrueCoach is king in the industry. They've won my loyalty without a doubt.

Inconvénients

The only thing, and this is getting really not-picky, is that I have found on other software platforms, that they have a lot of pre-built training programs that they share with their users. TrueCoach has a very small amount of these. If there were more, that'd be cool but it's not a huge deal to me.

Avantages

I love the fact that it creates a easy to use and effective system to deliver remote coaching. for myself the majority of my clients are remote and don't have a lot of disposable income. But TrueCoach allows me to work with them easily through the remote delivery, and the price point makes it extremely affordable to use it as a management software for them when building my own would cost significantly more.

Inconvénients

there isn't much to hate about the system, its billed and designed to be an individual design remote coaching software and it does that phenomenally. But I do feel it lacks the ability to easily integrate or deliver mass market programs, ie cookie cutter programs.

I would love to see them integrate a subscription service into their system which allows for mass market programs to be delivered using the admin accounts existing exercise library and programs, with an automatic cut off if payment is canceled or doesn't go through.

Avantages

I enjoy the fact that they continue to develop and keep us coaches in the loop as to what is going on with the product. It is super easy to use on both sides of the coin, for the clients and the coaches. You can also chat with clients through the app.

Inconvénients

I would say the feature i like the least is the inability for it to coach the clients for me lol.
