Good but not quite good enough for us
People were great. Loved the product (back end). Report writing was tricky but their team was always there to help. This may have been updated recently
Avantages
The software was excellent. Did everything we need it to from a task management, collaboration and traffic planning (and a ton more that we didnt use for billing and budgeting).
Inconvénients
Our team felt the UI was dated. We switched off for that reason but that was 2 years ago, so we would definetly take a look again.

I enjoy using eSP a lot, and I would certainly keep using it for our business.There are several fixes I would recommend (see "Cons" section), but this is because I believe that eSP could be even-more user friendly.
Avantages
eSilentPartner is overall a great platform to use, and I use it daily with my team.It is especially useful for the industry in which Moveo operates (advertising). eSP has many great features, and overall, it is an extremely thorough and helpful tool.

Regarding this, I only have a few notes:1 - Abbreviated menu item names:--> There are some menu items that are abbreviated, or which have unclear names (i.e., Setup --> Cat / Group; Jobs --> Group --> Approve Draft Inv's; AP --> Computer Checks, etc.)--> This aspect of eSP can make using the platform confusing-- especially for some of our contractors, who do not have English as their first language.--> This aspect also makes the platform feel like an unfinished product. Having a more-standardized way of naming eSP's menu items (i.e., no abbreviations, and/or clearer descriptions) would help the platform feel more cohesive.2 - Difficult learning curve:--> eSP has an inviting, user-friendly interface, but the full functionality of the platform is sometimes unclear. eSP has many useful functions, but there is a rather steep learning curve for this platform.--> This is somewhat related to my note #1: I do believe that standardizing the naming conventions of all menu items would help make the learning curve less steep.3 - Inaccessible financial statements for previous years:--> We are unable to access financial statements from years prior to "last year".--> For example, if I want to generate Moveo's profit & loss statement, I am only able to select: 1 - "last year", 2 - "this year", and 3 - "next year". Please expand this functionality. We need to access financial statements for all years, regardless of time period. This is my biggest need.

Does not keep the promise
A lot of promises. Terrible onboarding/training. That's about it.
Avantages
Initially we were sold on the idea that this was going to be the one software that did everything well, accounting and timekeeping, project management and team comms. Spoiler alert, it does not.
Inconvénients
After being made a lot of promised about things the software could do or would do on near-term future releases we realized this software is a dud. The accounting integration was so painful that honestly the only reason we still have ESP is because I don't think we could put our accounting team through another migration. So we basically se it for timesheets and billing and we have replaced all other functionality with far superior tools like Microsoft Teams for team collaboration and Asana for project management.

Powerful and easy to use
I love this software! Easy to use, fantastic customer service, not a lot of updates. That may sound silly but if you have ever used a software that update every month or even more frequently it's a pain. You start to feel like all you do is update, update, update which caused lots of down time and frustration.
Avantages
It's all in one place. Production/creative jobs - from estimate and advanced billings to step by step production assignments that can auto adjust when a client messes with a deadline and deliverables to final billings, Media advertising Jobs - from planning and invoicing, thru push of a button placement buying, to reconciliation (with or without third party integration), all with tools that automatically recalculate when placements or timing changes. Use the full breath of the software to have one click insight on any job at any moment. Even financial wellness of individual jobs, clients or campaigns. On the financial side it's extremely easy to implement and use, it integrates with banks and credit card payments seamlessly, delivers clear and concise financial statements, has tons of standard report at a click of a button - can download to excel if you want - has an easy to read dashboard that provides up to the minute financial data in one place for comprehensive look at the companies financial standing.
Inconvénients
I would like an easy way to look at past years beyond 1. Love that I can see and compare this year with last but would like to expand on that so I can get the last 5 years just as easy as last year.

My overall experience with eSP has been positive.
Avantages
The ability to write SQL reports in order to get the information that is required to provide insightful analysis.The customer service/support is outstanding!
Inconvénients
I've received complaints from internal resources that they don't like the interface and they find the project management tool lacking.eSP has some quirks but the support team is quick to look into it and provide solutions.Training manuals are not fluid.

Long standing partnership
Customer support has always been superb! They are always quick to offer insight and guidance, as well as taking recommendations into consideration for future enhancements/updates.
We neglected to fully embrace the project management module back in 2005 when we partnered with Silent Partner, nor when department management changed, and as a result incorporated Wrike project management as a three year commitment right before Silent Partner rolled out their new and improved project management modules. However, having been with the company for 17 years we have watched it develop into a comprehensive marketing/project management system.
Avantages
We have used the software for so long that it is comfortable yet constantly improving.
Inconvénients
The original integration date was rushed by our team and had to be postponed so that we could be fully ready to use Silent Partner. If we were starting over I would highly recommend training sessions with Silent Partner support, or intensive training to an administrator that could in turn train staff to utilize Silent Partner to its full capacity.

Reliable software perfect for our agency
eSilentPARTNER has been an effective tool for us. It is head and shoulders above our previous agency accounting/management software.
Avantages
We have been using eSilentPARTNER for over 12 years. It's clear that the developers understand the nuances of our business and have incorporated that into the platform. The support team is responsive, professional and fully versed in the application. We use eSilentPARTNER primarily for accounting and project management purposes and we have never been unhappy with the software.
Inconvénients
Although the software is intuitive and easy to use, there is some inconsistency in functionality between the different modules. This however has not been problematic.

sSilent Partner has been great so far to help us managing the business, developping an ad hoc cash report preventing us wasting a lot of time reconciling data.

We have been using eSP for over 11 years. Our company has grown 5x since then in business ; eSP has given us Job reports, A/R, A/P, G/L close, plus the knowledge of technical help. They are constantly releasing new versions to improve with the times.

The Accrued Media report- this report allows me to know what media vendor invoices I am missing
Inconvénients
Media - the ability to import excel media plans; and even though I understand I wish there was a media vendor report I can run by media client.

Silent Partner 20 years later
After roughly 20 years of using Silent Partner, I can honestly say I'm very happy with how easy it is to use. Closing the month/year is reasonably painless and the support team is very helpful and quick to help with any problems.
Avantages
Very easy to do everything from writing checks to printing reports. Enough options on all aspects of Silent Partner to fit all types of companies and their needs
Inconvénients
sometimes the updates will force you to do things you are used to in a different way. that being said, once you get used to the updates, you see they are usually for the better.

After Sales Support
Ease of day to day operations due to a trustworthy technical support.
Avantages
This is my first experience as a user of eSP. The product is generally intuitive and meets the expectations of the core areas of the company. My responsibility is Finance, as such my daily interaction with the product is AR, AP, GL and Revenue (or Income Statement reports).
Still a lot to learn but the most relevant feature of the product is the solid knowledge of Michelle Smith and her fast response to my questions. I am so positive impressed by her professionalism and passion to serve.
Inconvénients
For finance processes and reporting, I do see the need to add features such as: Cash flow reports, Cash flow forecasting, grouping of Clients or Vendor codes to track performance of Clients or Vendors belonging to the same group.
Configuration to send mass e-mails to clients to share their statements of accounts, automatic remainders of invoices due or overdue. Availability for Canada of the A/P > Computer Checks (ACH option).
