A virus protection that does it’s job
Avantages
It’s a common app used in IT industry that can be used also on personal computers because it’s cheap. Does it’s job very well and stops malicious software to run on the computer.
Inconvénients
While stopping the malicious apps to run, it sometimes stops the main software.

Symantec Endpoint Security is the Best for Small Business
Our company uses this product and we have no complaints, we have never had a virus or any security threats. We barely recognize it is there because it works so neatly in the background. Great product!

It is quite good, but the product cannot be completly compared to the competitors

Symantec worries about my computer's security so I don't have to.
Avantages
Symantec routinely does quick and full virus scans in the background, so even if I go months without thinking about my computer's security, I don't have to worry, because Symantec defaults to daily quick-scans and weekly full-machine scans, so I know I am always safe. If there is ever an immediate threat, I get a notification, and can quickly and easily rectify the situation.
Inconvénients
Full scans are a bit lengthy, but since they usually happen in the background, it's not a big deal. Still, I feel like if I start a full scan and go into a three hour meeting, by the time I come back, the full scan should be done. But, I guess at least I know it is being very thorough. My expectations may just be a bit high.

Symantec Endpoint Protection has been positive and we are using the product to protect entire users. Symantec Endpoint Security protects our data in the event the laptop is stolen which was very good. It also sends updates on the product which keeps us current, the ability to track each users and ensure that they have the product installed. The option to update to the latest version, the annual renewal is timely by Symantec. We also really appreciate you team that supports us and visit our office periodically to check up on us and other Symantec products we have in our organization.
Inconvénients
Symantec Endpoint Security protects our data in the event the laptop is stolen which was very good however at times it causes the laptop to be a little slow in accessing files and data. It also sends updates on the product which keeps us current but we have to download the updates and send it to each user. The fact that the renewal was doubled for 2017 from what we paid in 2016,

Symantec does indeed seem to keep our work PC's completely free of viruses. It's very protective (and nearly impossible to shut off from a user perspective unless you have admin privileges)
Inconvénients
It can often become a roadblock when trying to install personal software (i.e. general users will need to reach out to our tech support firm for admin rights in order to install things quite frequently).

Great anti-virus software!
I'm using Symantec Endpoint Protection at my office computer and I am more than satisfied!
Avantages
Symantec Endpoint Protection is a great tool to protect my computer against threats and viruses. It works great with my browser when trying to open a new website.
Inconvénients
There is nothing that I like least about Symantec Endpoint Protection since it protects my computer daily.

Stuck in Legacy Malware Days
Avantages
Symantec is still very easy to implement and rollout in any environment. Provides support for Windows as well as Mac Devices.
Inconvénients
Symantec is stuck in legacy malware protection and falls behind Next Generation Endpoint Protection solution. Baked it off against other solutions and was able to catch many infected devices Symantec had missed. It also supports Mac but as an unmanaged device.

I have been pleased with the ability of the Symantec software to identify and prevent malware and unauthorized intrusions, as well as to alert me to potential issues. There is a cost associated with having this protection, but it is similar to competitors.
Avantages
In today's internet based environment, a strong anti-malware, intrusion prevention and firewall software is a must. I have been pleased with the alerts provided by Symantec and have had no issues with malware or intrusions since I have had this tool installed on my PC.
Inconvénients
I view computer security software tools similar to an insurance policy -- they are necessary because of the unpredictability of bad things happening. What I like least however, about Symantec or any similar tool, is that there is a somewhat significant cost to protect against this unpredictability.

Ease of manageability through a centralized admin console. Ability to create groupings and assign each group their own individual protection scheme. Ease of localized and remote deployment with active directory integration. Quick alerts when an issue is detected.

When all of the popular virus scares come out i feel confident when i go run a full scan that my computer doesn't have any issues

Just like my title, it doesn't slow down any programs and you can set it to not have any pop ups while running. Doesn't slow down the computer at all!

really no cons. I guess I would just have to say you have to kind of toy with the settings to customize it the way you want.

Glad that protects my computer for daily threats but need updates for scanning as I can't continue working simultaneously.
Avantages
Is compatible with Mac's & PC's working with Windows operating systems. Is very easy to use as you don't need any training or read lots of manuals.

Did not detect all malware's and toolbars. During scanning my computer gets very slow that I can't continue working other programs.

Symantec security is an well design tool to protect our devices from powerful threats which could be so harmful for our important data. Symantec works smoothly and enable us to surf safely on internet . A good option for me to keep my all devices safe from risky threats.

Symantec is a security platform for us and as well as for our clients and it provide us basic security features. We can easily manage and protect our several devices from tricky virus and only one agent can control all devices. Symantec Endpoint Protection can automatically detect the upcoming virus or threats in our system. We can also scan our emails as well as our other useful files. Symantec antivirus is very useful for our several devices and also compatible with all kind of latest devices.
Inconvénients
Symantec is good security option for our plenty of devices but also have some issues to work with this tool. when we start to deep system scan it takes approximately up to an hour to complete which is not so good for our business work. This antivirus contains a lot of memory in our system and slow down our system for other applications. Install easily but tedious to remove from system.

Overall I would say Symantec is efficient antivirus software that completely assures the safety and security of all my working systems and devices in my organization whether am working at home or in my office.
Avantages
Various features and functionalities that are significant in this application is its ability to block all the infectious websites and applications from my system so that it couldn’t affect my data. Apart from this all my databases including files and folders everything is quite safe and secure in this particular system that helps me in attaining a secure environment.
Inconvénients
In my opinion this is a complete product and I found it to be very beneficial all the time as it helps me a lot in saving my precious time and provides me sufficient protection. I do not find any deficiency about it.

Avantages
Just silent app staying in system tray, never let any kind of virus or spyware to land on my laptop over last few years.
Inconvénients
Pretty complicated firewall rules configuration.
Some day I needed to add an exception and then remove it.
But the exception persisted until I removed it several times and rebooted my laptop.

SEP Gets the Job Done.
SEP has protected my systems for 6 years now. Symantec engineers do their best to stay ahead of the game.
Avantages
Seems to run lightweight, doesn't eat up system resources. SEPM makes managing your endpoints very easy.
Inconvénients
The built in Push deployment feature is not the best, but fortunately other preferred IT options exist, i.e. deployment software, group policy, etc.

excellent product it keeps my work station clean and protected from harmful viruses. this is one my favorites I feel great knowing that it still keeps me protected. and it is easy to understand how to install, setup, and use. No special training or skills needed.

Nothing i can see bad on this antivirus, but if you are programmer and working on windows application it keep you deleted the exe file of your system, you need to "Turn on Silent Mode" for you to proceed.

Works well, I would suggest giving it a try and determine for yourself, with these solutions feel its really a matter of personal preference sometimes.

It came with some of the new machines we were buying so we decided to actually give it a try and not give up too quickly and put some of the other solutions on we are more focused to use. It ended up working well for the time we used it.

Some other services out there that I feel allow you to do and it does a whole lot more. After trying other solutions carried on using them instead.

Symantec endpoint protection only helps when the end-user requires a stable product in the market for more than a decade. It lacks in all its capabilities compared to the other vendors. Support is too complicated and lacks in resolving the issue.

Symantec Endpoint protection's main advantage is its popularity in the market for more than a decade. It is easy in deploying and helps out in hardening the security but lacks in various fields.
Inconvénients
Symantec protection is a very old traditional player that lacks capabilities, GUI, support, and threat protection services. there is no storyline in the incident, attack mapping, behavior monitoring, complicated server up-gradation, etc.. and so on.

it is very good and detect every virus or threats ,it does not request too much update, we had some difficulties with the previous one and it has been requesting too much update and it is boring if you have urgent something to do. Getting Update is important for virus protection programs because hackers produce viruses continously

Quiet Endpoint Protection Software
Avantages
I like that the software has a small footprint and runs quietly. I don't like when antivirus software talks to me or bugs me every five minutes with popups. Endpoint Security runs silently in the background, sends notifications when they're needed, and doesn't otherwise bother me. I might even forget it was there.
The interface is very minimal, not overloading you with lots of big buttons to click on.
Inconvénients
I don't have much in the way of complaints right now, but I will say that while I like the simple interface, I do find that sometimes I would like to have a little more control from the user side, or at least the option to view it while sitting at a users desk.

Low on resources,high on protection
We regularly get our devices checked with Symantec and we are using it for deep dive virus and malware protection. SEPM configurations have been quiet handy for our security team. Also who will avoid getting a professional support from Symantec team.

Opening task manger you can see that there is single process running for Symantec, hence it is very low on resources consumption. It provides many functionalities in a single bundle. It protects most endpoint devices by offering simple features. It gives upgrade whenever we have a need which means that we are always protected. We don't have to do much configurations as the default serves better. But still if we need any configurations we can do them.
Inconvénients
I don't like the prompts for password time and again. The management should be possible from local as well as web based console.

Fairly easy to use and provides a layer of protection we were looking for.
Avantages
The software is easy to operate and deploy over multiple endpoints. And their support seems to be much better than in the past.
Inconvénients
Still would like a quicker response with support and zero day fixes but I don't think any product can cover everything out there.

Avantages
The best part I like is that it did not makes my computer slow . The updates and Scan takes place at the background and you do not feel it happening
Inconvénients
Updates are too frequent and some time need re-start to update

Satisfied after using on my personal company laptop.
Avantages
Virus protection is maximum.
Price is lower than other known anti virus programs.
Also scans your emails.
Inconvénients
Sometimes the program uses computer RAM very much.

We use SEP to protect local PCs in the organization. Provides strong protection. It is very easy to manage and update the rules when necessary.
Avantages
it is very easy to update and manage exceptions and rules.
Inconvénients
Some see exe as malware. Other than that, I did not find a negative direction.

Provides excellent reports on the protection it completes.
I am able to keep both my personal files and business files safe by running scans through this software. The detailed reports are fascinating to read through and give me peace of mind.

I like that this software offers different tools I can use to keep my computer protected. I also like I am advised when there are updates on the software to make. The virus reports are easy to read and always give me peace of mind that my computer is safe. It is very interesting to read the detailed report this software provides after you perform a scan to find out what exactly is going on with your computer's safety.
Inconvénients
The cost is high, however what price can you put on protecting your computer. Both at home and work, everything I need is on my computer, so without a program to protect it, life would be pretty nerve-wrecking.

Sometimes makes sense
Look into whether or not your internet service provider offers this antivirus for free, if so, then it is completely worth it.
Avantages
This software is often offered free when signed up with some internet services. When the software is free then it is my preferred antivirus. It has regular updates and keeps computers safe.
Inconvénients
Most antiviruses are the same nowadays. I haven't had any issues with this antivirus blocking important programs otherwise causing more issues.

Avantages
Symantec Endpoint Protection is a security software suite.
It not only detects viruses but malware as well and it also has some firewall features too.
You can pick any type of scan quick, full or custom and can schedule a scan as per your requirements.
It also sends different types of notification like when virus, malware or attack detected, scan complete, etc.
There are different reports available that will be sent to you automatically. You just need to set some triggers.
It also detects traffic come through your HTTP port and can block it if it's vulnerable.
Symantec has its own library of codes that represent a different type of attack.
It works on both desktop and Servers.
Inconvénients
It adds little degradation in performance while performing full system scanning.

Corporation choice
I am pleased with the security level it provides. I think if our corporation chose Symantec Endpoint Protection, it must be totally worth it.
Avantages
Since I had my software switched to Windows 10, they also changed my previous antivirus program on Symantec Endpoint Protection and as for me it was a good choice: it has a virus and spyware protection, as well as proactive threat protection and network and host exploit mitigation. So during the year and a half, I didn't have any issues with my computer security and no annoying pop-ups as some other programs are "infamous" for.
Inconvénients
Since the program installation is the duty of our IT specialist, I didn't have any trouble with it at all. I can't do any changes in it either, it's an option only for network administrators but didn't have any need in it so far.
