ZipRecruiter made hiring easier
Overall, we enjoy using ZipRecruiter when we need to fill a position. While there are things that could be improved upon, ZipRecruiter was a better fit for our small company compared to competitors.
Avantages
Finding applicant leads was much easier with ZipRecruiter than with other platforms. We were able to list our job postings and candidates' profiles were delivered to us based on the criteria we establish in the job description.
Inconvénients
Unfortunately, candidate profiles oftentimes did not match with the job posting listed, or would only meet one of the listed criteria. This made it difficult to sift through the qualified candidates.

Not Very Specific, But Useful
My overall experience with ZipRecruiter has been negative. I am sent notifications throughout the day for jobs that are of no interest to me. They send notifications with the amount of money the jobs offer instead of the description. I am ready to unsubscribe so that I am not offered anymore jobs that do not match up well with me.
Avantages
I respect the amount of information about job opportunities that ZipRecruiter has given me. I get emails and texts daily about new jobs that match with my career field. It was also very easy to set up an account with them. The software is used by many companies and therefore can help you find a job in a short amount of time if you are not too picky at the moment.
Inconvénients
Although I get daily texts and emails from ZipRecruiter and they are for jobs in my career field, the jobs are not in my industry of choice. I also look up certain company jobs directly from their websites and see job openings that ZipRecruiter did not show me. Sometimes it seems as if looking up company jobs themselves is more effective than ZipRecruiter. I have also unsubscribed multiple times

Good tool to manage your hiring.
This platform allows you to post a job one time and have it sent to multiple job sites with a single click. All applicants regardless of the origin come into the Zip Recruiter dashboard allowing you to manage the entire hiring process through a single platform as opposed to logging into multiple platforms to manage your applicants.
Avantages
This is a fairly comprehensive tool that allows you to post to multiple job sites using a single platform. All information is kept in an easy to use dashboard.
Inconvénients
Although this tool makes the process easy it can get pricey when you combine the management fee with the posting fees.

My experience with ZipRecruiter has been good. The alerts were on a daily basis, so i didn't miss out on applying for any jobs. The 1-click apply option made it so much easier to apply for some jobs and saved a lot of time.
Avantages
Once you make your profile and upload your resume to ZipRecruiter, it is easy to apply to a number of jobs. Some jobs have an easy 1-click option, where you just have to press the button and your resume is submitted, and if the employer has some questions he can post it there and you can easily answer them in seconds. You can select alerts according to your job title, location etc. Profile creation and information upload is very easy. Sometimes it also displays if the employer of a company has been recruiting actively or not. You can also get alerts if the employer viewed your profile or has messaged you.
Inconvénients
Not all jobs have a 1-click option to apply. Also there is no information about the job poster, so you can contact them directly to discuss about the position.

A must-have resource; cannot do without it.
Avantages
From a job searcher's perspective, ZipRecruiter offers several listings that are not available elsewhere, thereby helps provide a more complete view of the job market. I like the proactive offers of listings that match my qualifications, as well as the frequent updates when I apply for a job. I dont have to set up my own tracker - the reminders help me do the relevant, pertinent follow ups. Plus, it is always learning my qualifications and interests, allowing fine-tuning of the listings presented to me.
Inconvénients
Infrequently, there may be a listing which is not relevant to me and my qualifications.

Great recruiting platform for easy to fill positions
This platform is an excellent entry level tool and affordable with several price-points to suit your company's needs. They also have an excellent free trial month so you can see what you get. They use (as far as I can tell based on their marketing) an aggregate model where their ad goes to several other sites so you get a decent bang for your buck. I've noticed a lot of marketing on TV and radio lately too, so they are becoming a more household name. If your recruiting/HR sourcing needs feature positions that are standard/generalized but may require some additional exposure, this is a good method with an intuitive platform for posting. However, if you are looking for a new sourcing tool to reach hard to fill positions such as physician recruitment, top tier IT professionals, etc., this will likely disappoint. It is a great product for a recruiting team that isn't a specialty staffing firm and just needs a resource that is cheaper than Careerbuilder/Monster/Indeed paid model.
Avantages
The free trial software and aggregate method of this software lets you test it out before committing. They are confident in their product.
It is easy/intuitive to use.
Inconvénients
This is a recruiting platform for non-specialty jobs. If you have difficult positions to fill in highly competitive markets such as physician staffing, high level IT positions, cleared professionals, etc., this will not reach those candidates in any meaningful way.

Avantages
It gives you notification of jobs related to your field and it gives notification around your area. It also tells about pay of job in notifications.
Inconvénients
I am ok with most features. Sometimes it send me job which is totally unrelated to my field and expertise and education level.

Not a Great Return of Investment
Overall, I wasn't happy with the process or the lavishness of ZipRecruiter and didn't feel I got any kind of return on the investment I made with them. Granted, the position we were trying to fill is very specialized, but I have had better luck with other sites that weren't as expensive.
Avantages
As a company, we needed to hire employees who had experience in our industry and we needed to hire quickly. I turned to ZipRecruiter for assisstance. At first, it was great. Customer service walked me through everything, made suggestions, helped to edit our ad and make it available to relevant areas and varying states. We were given several options as far as cost and we felt confident on the prospective employees we were hoping to recruit. At first glance, ZipRecruiter seemed to be a good route for finding employees.
Inconvénients
When we were talking to the ZipRecruiter representative, he gave us many options on locations to post our ad, and varying costs of length of time it was going to be available. He was a salesman. He was trying to sell us on some grand plan that would span several regions, being able to post several jobs, and offer all these options. However, as a small company, we weren't looking for some novelty recruiting process with all the bells and whistles. I told him exactly what we needed and the budget and it suddenly turned to a different tone of conversation. We decided on a plan and went from there. While setting up our available position, I was able to set up screener questions to help narrow down candidates. I have done previously with other recruiting sites and knew exactly what questions I needed to ask. To my dismay, the ZipRecruiter rep kept changing my questions! I would change them back to find that they have once again been edited. Upon that, I was displeased with the response I got of applicants and didn't even end up making a single hire. I turned to the other site we have typically hired through and had much more success.

Not the best recruiting software
Not bad, I prefer using Indeed. But it's better than Craigslist!

Posting an ad is easy. Editing the ad is a breeze. But I wish there was a better filter of resumes submitted

The quality of resumes we get is subpar. I wish there was a way to filter resumes based on certain qualities/experience.

Amazing
Honestly couldn’t work without it! Before I found ZipRecruiter, I went based off Google search results. Was pretty lame and was never able to actually find a good job/career due to this.
Avantages
Ease of use, nice to get in touch with employers and gets me to the career of my choice quickly.
Inconvénients
I get quite a few emails weekly about job opportunities and this can sometimes just be a bit too much for myself.

If you want to have the contact details of talents, this is one of the best board you can use. But if you want revenue, consider using other job board along side this software
Avantages
Zip recruiter is a platform where you can search thousands of resume and get their contact information based on the credits you have purchased.
Inconvénients
The resume preview feature of the app does not provide details of talents you are reviewing, you may have to click view contact first to view the entire resume. Chances are that the talent you reviewed is not qualified

Easy and quick for posting jobs
Avantages
I have worked with several HR teams to post jobs (and fine tune the job descriptions) using ZipRecruiter. It is easy to set up, well priced, and easy to track for candidates. (Bonus, I have used ZipRecruiter as a prospective candidate and found it great!)
Inconvénients
We had a couple issues with resume upload but never figured out if it was user (the candidate) error or the ZipRecruiter system itself. Given the fact that it's only happened twice in all the times I've used it, i assume its the user error of the candidate not uploading their resume.

Lack of Quality Candidates/Too Easy to Apply
I would not recommend to other recruiters. It is too hard to manage and use with other applications or a ATS system.
Avantages
The price of this tool is much more reasonable for employers than other job boards!
Inconvénients
It is extremely easy for candidates to apply. Even candidates who do not meet the qualifications, like having a Bachelor's degree, can apply to our jobs. There is a ton of sifting through applicants. I get one good application for every 30 job applications. Those odds are pretty poor. I bet it would be a better tool for lower income/educated candidates. It is difficult for multiple users to see where another recruiter left off. It's hard to tell who has been reached out to and who hasn't.

Hiring of other candidates
The business problems I am solving is that I am able to get hired. The benefits is being able to find a good fit.
Avantages
The features that are most impactful is the search bar.This is the most impactful because you can type the== type of job you are thinking about in the research bar. I have found some interesting things that I have thought about using as side gig. This product is very easy to use and navigate. The search bar is right on the top and you can also scroll through the pages to find the job you may possibly want. The integration with my existing business was fairly easy. This was actually how I found my job as an ed tech teacher.
Inconvénients
I dont feel like any features are missing and I don’t feel like anything could be improved. In the past I was contacted immediately and was interviewed fairly quickly. There is nothing difficult about using the tool zip recruiter. The process of the existing business was not hard at all.

My overall experience with ZipRecruiter has been Okay. They send me way too many alerts for job opportunities, and a lot of the time they don't match my background or other jobs I've searched. It gets the job done when it comes to applying at different places but it needs a more tailored experience.
Avantages
It makes it easy to apply for different jobs and you get alerted when new jobs come available.
Inconvénients
Insignificant notifications for jobs I wouldn't apply for or relative to my background.

I was very happy when, thanks to ZipRecruiter, I found my previous job.
I have always found a lot of very relevant job opportunities through ZipRecruiter.
Other websites are not nearly as organized and/or provide enough relevant job opportunities.
Avantages
I like the ease in which you can explore ZipRecruiter; I like the options given and the frequency it provides me new and a wide variety of options.
Thanks to ZipRecruiter, I found my previous job! I am working on getting a second one through them again!
Inconvénients
At one point, I received an email with a job opportunity that no longer was available. I would check on it frequently to make sure they only publish accurate information. And they do; 99% of the time.

Inconvénients
Maybe what is needed is for follow up with the perspective employee, have a question and answer section and have someone reach out to the company to provide feed back to the perspective employee on what to do the next time, confirm if the were a candidate for the position. Then this would allow for measurement to guide other applicants using the site.

As I said earlier in Pros column, It is a amazing platform for Trainee to Director level resources who working in staffing and Talent Management with minimal spending of time.
Avantages
Always getting more number of applicants for one job. If you can use some filters, We may get perfect qulaified applicants. It save the tome of all of us (Recruters, Applicants, Panel and customer). If we post a job along with pay rate, location and customer name. After that we can submit all the profiles that apply if they technically strong without need to discuss above things.
Inconvénients
Getting less number of applicants for Technical opportunities. Which means, lot of groundwork needs to be done for marketing.

Customer service is based on specific industries and regions, so you work directly with someone who understands your market
Can customize the content and target audience
Inconvénients
In order to get real value from ZipRecruiter, you need to set up a budget for "pay per clicks" which adds up over time. This gets you a little more branding and "featured employer" status, but your jobs are still emailed with other competing jobs to potential candidates. As a test, I received a job I posted for a Certified Nursing Assistant - and the email I received had 9 other CNA jobs (including our biggest competitor down the street).

The biggest pro is that there are so many job seekers on the platform so you have a good chance of finding who you need. You can also ask them to take assessments, answer custom questions and even schedule interviews right on the platform so its very useful.

It did not help us
Was not a good experience and for the price we did not find any candidates that were even close to being a match for the positions advertised.
Avantages
I like the idea that we could post a job and have candidates be already in e system assigned to our posting.
Inconvénients
The candidates that were assigned to our post were not at all qualified and the ones that contacted us were all from foreign countries or had no related experience. Even if we specified that the applicant had to be close by in the same country.

Easy for Applications
It was very easy to setup and use. ZipRecruiter generates a lot of applications just not always good applications.
Avantages
They make it very easy to post your job and target specific audiences. Also, the resume search feature is a nice touch to browse through potential matches.
Inconvénients
You get a lot of applications that are not high quality. I spent a lot of time combing through bad/unqualified applications and incomplete resumes/profiles than I did actually speaking with quality candidates.

Better Job Search Engines out there
Avantages
Sorry - didn't like anything. I thought it would be great to have another email containing jobs in my field...like Indeed sends. The jobs were always outdated.

My experience with ZipRecruiter was lacking. All the jobs that would come to me were normally outdated.

ZipRecruiter is a straight forward, easy to use software. It has a large database that spans over all locations. It is a go-to for quick fill jobs!

ZipRecruiter has simple functionalities that anyone can use. You can save searches, add alerts, print resumes and look for keywords.

Zipping me into interviews
I cant complain, truly. It’s a well designed site that has given me quite a few opportunities during a very hard time.
Avantages
Out of the many features on the site that i most enjoyed would have to how user friendly it was. Once you logged into your accounts, everything you need was right at the top of the screen on the tool bar. You could jump on and see if you had received a messages from potential employers or if you have received an alert for the position you are looking for. I would definitely recommend ZipRecruiter to anyone on the job search.
Inconvénients
The only thing disliked about the software would be the amount of emails that would be sent to my gmail account. I was impressed with the large selection of positions that were in my field but on occasion i would receive a listing that had absolutely nothing to do with the position i had been applying for

We have found many of our employees using this software.
Avantages
I like that you can track all of the information about your applicants in one place and create a rating system for them. It is easy to share this information among staff so everyone can have input on candidates.
Inconvénients
There is a tendency for non-qualified candidates to apply for your positions which can be time consuming to weed them out.

Nothing New Here Folks
ZipRecruiter was a bit of a buzz kill for me. It had no bells and whistles that I was expecting after hearing i t hyped by other recruiters for a couple of years.
Avantages
The software was easy to use and somewhat intuitive. However, it was out and out boring to use.

Nothing new with this software at all.

Great Option
Overall my experience has been good. I will be using the software soon when I am searching for a candidate to fill the position of a long-term employee who will be retiring next year. The software is easy to use and the site is easy to navigate.
Avantages
I like that Ziprecruiter does the work for you. It sends notifications frequently and presents opportunities that may have otherwise not been considered.
Inconvénients
It often sends notifications for job opportunities that do not align well at all with an applicant's experience or desired pay scale. It also at times suggests positions are a good or great match when the applicants has no experience or credentials to work in that field.

Amazing tool for job application
Overall, still the best job application platform there is. Would really appreciate it if they have the company review or company's salary range like Glassdoor.
Avantages
It has amazing suggestion function. The one-click apply function saves a lot of time for applicants, which is a huge advantage compared to other job application platforms.
Inconvénients
Sometimes I click on the "apply" button and it refers to an outside link, which is another 3rd party job application platform. I would prefer being directed to the companies' website instead.

It is a useful tool to try to find a job, also really beneficial for employers. There are some features that can be improved.
Avantages
What I like the most about this webpage is the opportunity to find jobs nearby your zip code area, and narrow the search based on your profile, studies and work experience.
Also, ZipRecruiter provides different tools such as mobile Apps and job alerts by email.
Inconvénients
What I like least about this tool is that the job search is limited to the zip code introduced as personal address. In my case, It would be more beneficial to be able to choose the desired zip code by job alert.
Also, most of the times the job posting that I received based in my profile, doesn't match at all.

If you're going into sales, this is for you.
When I was looking for a job, I signed up for ZipRecruiter along with several other job board platforms. I ended up using it for maybe a month before I got frustrated with it and deleted my account (before I even got a job).
Avantages
Recruiters (though I'm not sure if they're bots or real people) will send you certain job postings they think you will like or be qualified for. The software allows you to search postings by location and job title/keywords.
I like that you can add testimonials from your references to your account. That is something I haven't seen before.
Inconvénients
It seems like 99% of the postings/emails/notifications are for sales positions. No matter how many times you set your preferences or notification keywords, they will pretty much only show you sales positions. That's fine if that's what you're looking for, but if not (like me) it is very frustrating. I also got multiple emails from "recruiters" for the same position/organization, even after telling them that I either wasn't interested in or was not qualified for the position/organization/field of work.

Overall I’ve gotten more calls for interviews through this job board than anywhere else. This is definitely my go to over Indeed, Craigslist, etc.
Avantages
I like that there are updates about most everything. I.e. when or how many times you resume is viewed, if the job has been closed and who you’ve sent your resume to but haven’t heard from. I can also easily share my resume.
Inconvénients
My only critique is that I was the app was a bit more visually pleasing. Other than that, I have no complaints.

very profession. It was also helpful by matching me with the job positions I am qualified for. Didn't have to spend a lot of time filling out every application for each job I had applied for. They give you a one click option which helped me apply for my job opportunities.

I loved everything about the site. From helping me make out a Resume to helping finding job openings that match my experience.

I couldn't find anything about I didn't like. Help with not having to fill out every application. Just had a one click option. Easy

Good recruiting tool
My overall experience with Ziprecruiter has been good, could be better but this is still one of the best recruiting tools I use on a daily basis.
Avantages
What I like the most about using Ziprecruiter for my recruiting needs is the fact that I can view a screenshot of a candidates resume without having to click on it. This allows me to screen candidates faster when I'm recruiting.
Inconvénients
What I like the least about Ziprecruiter is when posting jobs on their website we receive a lot of candidates that are not qualified for the jobs we are advertising and it's frustrating having to look through hundreds of resumes and only getting a few candidates that actually qualify for the positions we are advertising.

Avantages
I’ve used this software as both a job seeker and a recruiter. As a job seeker, they really need to do a better job of cutting down the spam and fraudulent job postings. It really decreases their value. People apply to jobs that are either fake or they are sent to another website that just spams them with fake job listings. As a recruiter it is a bit more useful. It allows you to easily post and gives useful updates.
Inconvénients
They have a serious problem with the spam on this website. Not sure how, but they really need to find a way to decrease it.

Great Middle Ground for Job Searching
Avantages
I've used this in the past few years and have help make genuine connection with employers I've applied to. It's a lot faster and easier to use than Indeed or CareerBuilder. Quick to show related job or setup one-click apply

It is not as large as Indeed or Linkedin but is a great alternative
