It is very easy to get set up and start for people who are new to recruiting/HR - can having your job posting up and easy to put filters on for candidates

Inconvénients

I think this might be better for certain positions, we were trying to hire tech specific roles, and for those positions- while we did get inbound candidates, by far and large - the candidates did not meet qualifications and were not a match unfortunately. I think for general, admin or entry level roles, this might be a better fit.

ZipRecruiter is extremely easy to use for both finding and posting job openings, and its definitely going to save you money.

The interface is glitchy, it constantly recommends candidates for jobs in unrelated fields, and it makes it so easy to apply that you will become overwhelmed with low quality candidates.

I like that the service is free of charge. You create a profile, upload your resume, and add experience. You can select filters while searching for your job, and set up reocurring weekly or daily emails to notify you when a job is posted that might meet your criteria for employment. My favorite is when a company lists a job then adds the quick apply button. The quick reply button allows you to just type in a small amount of info like name number and email and then send the recruiter your profile, and resume for review. I like this because I dont have to spend a ton of time filling out applications for job that might not be interested in me.

Inconvénients

The quick apply feature is only on some job listings
They say they dont allow jobs to post commission only based jobs, but I find them all the time on there. You also have to be careful for scammers collecting your info off there an trying to contact you directly through your email.

Avantages

The information and number of potential applicants is untouched. There is no other program that allows me to find as many job seekers as ZipRecruiter does. It's quick to learn because the system is very user friendly.

Inconvénients

I only give this program a 7 due to the limitations it has. While I'm able to access a large pool of job seekers, it's difficult to filter them out. People who were looking for a job 9 months ago are mixed into those who need immediate employment.

ZipRecruiter is the easiest job search software I have ever used. You can upload your resume and apply to jobs with the click of the button. I love the email alert feature that lets me know when new jobs are posted that fit my skillset.

I use this as an app on my phone and it has worked wonders. Even on the go I can quickly look for positions. It makes it easier for me to narrow now where I want a job.

One of the things that I do not like is that when people reach out to you it’s hard to see which ones are actually wanting to get your resume. Also many positions that do pop up they are positions that I have never done before.

ZipRecruiter is easy to access, as it is a web based platform. The dashboard is easy to use and setup to find what you need quickly when looking for potential candidates. We use it 2-3 times per week following up on candidates.

Inconvénients

I would like it easier to contact potential candidates with an Outlook 365 connector. This will allow me to send emails directly from my account and have copies of the engagement in the system. Allowing templates, appointment setups, and calendar invites much easier to manage.

As a Job Seeker, ZipRecruiter does have an easy-to-use alerts system and filter system in place to set up alerts in a given city/salary range or function.

Inconvénients

The supposed AI-powered search algorithm leaves me wanting. I was getting emails multiple times a day for roles completely out of touch with my alerts. It appears the algorithm scans for key words while ignoring functions ie. "account manager" alerts within marketing/advertising also pulled up account manager roles in completely unrelated fields making so many emails completely useless.

What i liked about zip recruiter is being able to have candidates "pree screened" before they apply for the job. Having there information easily at hand makes for easier recruitment

Sometimes candidates are not honest on there applications and we get ones that don't work out, I wish there was a better vetting process

I like that you can register to receive emails with job listings by job title and keywords, as opposed to having to visit the ZipRecruiter website and then search. I also like that when you click to apply for a position, ZipRecruiter automatically takes you to the employer's website so that you can start an application.

As ZipRecruiter is an aggregate job listing site, positions listed are often found on other sites (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed).

Very user friendly. This software allowance you to do what you out do best which is run a company if you are a business owner looking to hire a new recruit. They are very thorough in getting the needed info from candidates and they are right on when it comes to qualifications.

I honestly do not have anything that I don’t like. If you get it amen use it i you will know exactly why I can not say a bad thing about it at all.

As a manufacturing company, we're facing the same obstacles as everybody else in America right now -- finding and recruiting quality candidates. ZipRecruiter saved us a ton of time and just delivered candidates to our doorstep. We went from sifting through resumes to training and producing.

Not much! Maybe that the free trial wasn't longer, but that's an easy thing to gripe about :). Would recommend and use again in different companies.

first we paid for a basic subscription to post a job, when we couldn't find any candidates, our zip agent told us we needed to launch a campaign to get our listing promoted, so we did. Then they told us we had to launch it in multiple areas to get it noticed, so we did. Then they told us we had to launch it in about 20 areas (costing over $7,000 a month) we did not. We did not get a single qualified candidate for a job opening for a veterinarian offering a $75,000 sign on bonus. When we posted in local vet journals, we finally got hits.

ZIPRecruiter is also one of my favorite tooks as it allows me to receive ample amoung of leads for a specific role. You can make specific taggings for each lead that you review. It also allows you to download the resume of interested applicants.

Nothing. This has always been an amazing tool to use. I always check ZIPRecruiter and I am extremely satisfied with the leads fhat we are getting.

ZipRecruiter is a fantastic tool to assist in the always-daunting job search. When I moved out to California, ZipRecruiter was one of the first online job-boards that I went into. As for the platform, what's not to love? Clean interface, suggested jobs, many jobs listed but without being visually overwhelming, heavy details upon further clicking, and many include pay and benefits in the quickly visible ad. Also, the mobile experience is just as enjoyable as the desktop version.

About the only issue, I had with dealing with ZR for a few months was the excess emails and notifications. Yes, I would like to receive related job offers but maybe once a week. I don't want them coming every day or several times a day because I had gone through numerous job title searches. Thankfully, these are all options that can be turned on and off at will... as long as you look for them.

Zip Recruiter seemed to have quite a large number of job listings, which is nice if you are on the market and looking to apply to as many as possible. They also have a notification service that is set up for you automatically which will routinely email you job postings that they deem to be a good fit, allow a bit of a hands off approach to job hunting.

The issue was that it had a large number of shady looking opportunities. Many that never responded or were questionable in terms of reliability. I had a number of opportunities end up never responding to me after we had had initial conversations or even had an interview. Instead of telling me no, they just ignored me completely. I also found the email job suggestions to be totally off the mark. Many of them were terrible fits and didn't match up well at all with what I was looking for.

The I have is very useful to use when creating a resume for work it's very laid out easily instructed so there is no way to fail at setting up a resume the recruiter does the work for you finding jobs that are based on your work experience I definitely recommend using ZipRecruiter if you're trying to advance your career set up a profile for yourself the links that it is connected to is also useful because it's easy click to apply you don't have to constantly keep putting in your information with one click your resume is sent

it's really hard to select notifications without it overwhelming your inbox and making it look like spam because it doesn't DaVinci 8 between spam emails and real jobs so you have to be careful on some of the links that you click because they are just Spam emails

I occasionally receive job referrals outside of my industry and skill set. I'm not sure why I keep getting these job recommendations when I've never looked for anything like that. That is strange

We have all seen the job postings for "closers wanted". Well ZipRecruiter can help you find them. This program is very simple to use and set up your portfolio. You get to then answer job postings that match your criteria with the job. It also allows you to ask additional non-standard questions of candidates to help you get to the personality you wish to work with. I especially love the "one-click" apply feature. This helps the candidate to apply quickly with the confidence that all their portfolio information will make it to the hiring manager.

Inconvénients

The initial setup was a long process. It takes time for ZipRecruiter to learn your preferences and the things that are important in a job search. This slow process could use some improvements. Maybe investing in technology that performs the analyst much faster.

I like that the software is easy to use convenient to use and is widely recognized and so used by many potential employers and is a great vehicle.

There are a few things about the functionality of the systems that could be improved upon to make it more convenient at times.

I use the recruiter in addition to glassdoor, indeed and several other jobs search engines, I'm not 100% loyal to Ziprecruiter however they are a good tool tool when searching for is searching for jobs.

Ziprecruiter comes a relatively expensive cost compared to other software that we have used (and continue to use). Indeed, for example, is free and provides us with decent results, though not on par with the quality that comes in from ZipRecruiter.

It is easy to use and allows access to multiple job boards. It very interactive and sends out lots of "job leads". It has an AI system that assists with job matching.

All of the "job leads" get spamming very quickly. The quality of the jobs offered are not that good. I've applied for several jobs for a friend that were misleading. They turned out to me commissions, low paying, and or MLM positions. The employers' actually tricked him into interviewing and made false claims about employment opportunities that were non-existent. They were basically cattle calls for minimum wage cold sales jobs.

The response time of customer support is far superior than other job sites that we use. The amount of resumes we receive.

Many times the applicants do not have a resume uploaded in the system. Many times there is no phone number listed in order to contact the applicant. These should be mandatory in order for them to apply for a job especially when I add resume is mandatory.

So many other sites have broad searches that are based on just a couple of words, but ZipRecruiter makes sure to point you to jobs that are relevant and best match each persons's experience. (Including the potential matches that they find and send to you to help you along the way.)

As a user, I don't have any complaints. From an administrator standpoint I do feel that their pricing has increased drastically!

ZipRecruiter was very useful and far more effective compared to Indeed in our recent hiring process. However, the product does not live up to the ads which are flooding the airwaves of my primary AM radio station.

This is definitely where the candidates are. Between this and LinkedIn, this is where people look for jobs. There’s a nice preview feature that allows you to quickly review resumes.

I am not a fan of the thumbs up/down feature or that it lets candidates know when their profile is viewed multiple times. It’s not always for good reason. There’s no way to filter out already viewed candidates and it leaves the candidate with a false sense they will be contacted and are a good fit.

What I like most about the software is the sheer abundance of options. If you are a job-seeker, this software lists so many job opportunities and the ability to refine your search so you don't waste a lot of time reviewing postings that aren't relevant for you. Plus, I enjoy the 1-click option to apply to job postings.

What I like least about this software is I find that many job postings are outdated or already filled. It seems that old postings from employers somehow get filtered into ZipRecruiter's system from outdated information.

We hire a large number of seasonal staff every year for holiday events. In the past, this has been a clunky and laborious process. ZipRecruiter has made it so much easier to publicize our postings and get in the applications we need. No longer are we stressing about how we'll make sure to get enough applications to do the hiring we need. ZipRecruiter has streamlined every aspect of this and now we can focus on the business, not on hiring!

Inconvénients

My only complaint is that there could be more functionality for posting compensation. We hire a lot of roles with varying levels of compensation and various compensation structure (hourly, salary, commission, contracting, etc). It doesn't feel like ZipRecruiter pprovides me enough functionality I need to properly describe to candidates what the compensation package will entail.
