ZipRecruiter makes it feel like job hunting is super easy. For most jobs, you can literally apply with one click. They have an algorithm that tracks the type of jobs you click, so those are the ones they send you. Another thing they do is alert you when your application is viewed, and how qualified you are for a role. It really is fool proof.

Inconvénients

The algorithm that determines which jobs are sent to you misses the mark, a lot. I suppose the solution is more clicking on jobs that suit you, but it’s annoying. If you click experimentally to see qualifications or something else that catches your eye, it alters what you see in your routine alerts. Also, the platform causes your resume to be turned into a pdf that sometimes also messes up the formatting.

it really helps do a great resume search tool and you can get all the jobs your looking for or posting for in one lump sum. I absolutely love it. REally great for kids in highschool and going to college. Im a at home mom right now and I love browsing for jobs or part time cash making opportunities.

I liked the ease of use, the amount of options I was given for any type of job I was looking for, and the tips and help with job searches.

I disliked the amount of times I was being sent emails and texts about jobs. I started using the app on mobile to set up the account and I became quickly overwhelmed with the amount of times I was being emailed and texted about jobs that I seemed like a good fit for based on my past jobs. I had to change my settings to receive fewer notifications.

Easy to post jobs, can reach a wide audience, pricing is reasonable at a base level, customer support is available when needed

For niche positions ZipRecruiter doesn't necessarily have the best reach, the customer support is attentive but they sometimes just don't get it when searching for unique positions

If you are actively looking or more passively looking it's great to get updates from ZipRecruiter to keep a pulse on available opportunities.

Their algorithm does seem to get thrown off of what you need pretty easily. For example, if you happen to see a job that isn't great for you but makes you think of someone else and so you click, this can influence future opportunities you are shown.

The software is very promising and easy to use and easy to set up you're able to find numerous jobs in your area that you can filter to your own preferences for your job search you have the option to apply for the position of the jobs you're interested in from their site overall it's a well put together service.

I have not ever gotten a job through ZipRecruiter and I have applied for a lot of jobs in some of them more than once so the actual success rate of going through this service has not been positive for me and then landing a new job

Simplified user experience and any time there is an administration requirement needed, the help-desk is always extremely fast!

All job boards experience unqualified applicants, however ZipRecruiter has the least amount of unqualified applicants in my opinion. I handle high-level technical recruitment and my experience has been great!

It SEEMS user friendly, intuitive and easy to use however it really isn’t so no actual leads come about it. However, it gets the listing viewed since it APPEARS to be easy to apply to jobs.

People don’t actually follow through with application or recruitment process due to the unforeseen efforts required.

On both sides of the program there seems to be a disconnect with matching. We get candidates that are simply not qualified by any stretch of the imagination for jobs we have posted. On the alternate side candidates are getting matched in droves to low end sales jobs. This disconnect should be fixed asap.

I like this software because it is simple to use and very useful for job seekers to find a good job and for recruiters to find good candidates and talents for the open positions available in companies. I personally got several interviews after I started using this platform. It is user friendly and even a new user can easily navigate through the platform and upload his/her Resume and other relevant information easily on this platform to get quick interviews.

Inconvénients

This platform is quite good in terms of providing great customer service, and recent jobs and opennings in different companies but the only thing the company should always work on is to keep fake jobs out of the platform and make job posting process alittle bit strict to make sure the companies are legit.

I like having notifications sent directly to my phone and email. This way I am able to apply immediately.

UI was very easy to use, got plenty of responses to jobs I posted, some decent candidates. Short trial period meant I wasn't able to fulfill any roles, not their fault per se. When I contacted them about my account being charged, they promptly refunded my money.

Horrible, horrible transparency. I signed up for the free trial and couldn't even figure out how long their free trial period was until after I talked to their agent. Turns out it's only 4 days. That's just short enough to be totally useless.

Worse part is they weren't very clear about when my account would be charged. Turns out, they charge you on the 4th day of the trial, so if you call on the 4th day to cancel, your account would have rolled over to paid account. Their customer service was nice enough to refund me though, just the lack of transparency left a sour taste.

The software gets a general idea of what you want and where. It is specific enough to find what you really want while ambiguous enough to include alternatives.
The 1 Click Apply is amazing. It can take up to an hour to apply for a single job. Zip Recruiter has your resume and info and you can apply to 30+ jobs in the same amount of time one would apply to a job the traditional way

Honestly, I have no complaints. Anything it is lacking in is too unimportant to list and other websites have other features to compliment Zip Recruiter, but ZR is the first place I go every morning to look for a job.

I love the ease of uploading your resume to Ziprecruiter and attaching other documents as well. It's a great site to search for jobs and the one click applying. It also allows recruiters to reach out to you easily and you can apply for one type of job and then it will show you all that particular type of job and allow you to apply in mere seconds.

The thing that I like most about this application is how simple it is to use it on a daily bases. The feature of 1 tap to apply is by far the best thing this application has because it makes applying to jobs very simple. This app has helped me apply to jobs more than any other app out there.

The thing that I like least about this app is the amount of emails that I receive from them which is very beneficial but can be a hassle if someone does not manage their emails as much.

ZipRecruiter is a great way to search for jobs in your area you can 1-Click apply for. Line up several interviews to land the perfect job for you. Since they send you job opportunities by email you don't have to log into the platform to search. They list several categories of job listings so you can find what's suitable for you. I have recently landed a few interviews using this platform which was really simple, their i-Click apply came in handy.

Inconvénients

There is not much con except you need to find something that is suitable for you that is as local as you want it to be. Read job descriptions and requirements carefully as you would with any search engine to see if you can perform the duties as necessary and you possess the necessary requirements. Remember, not all jobs are created equal! You must be digilent about learning about the different job opportunities, training and scheduling more than one interviews at a time. Also prepare for job notifications to flood your inbox and text messages.

I love the user interface of the recruiter platform. You're able to visualize your candidates as well as label where they are in the recruiting process and take notes.

The cost is QUITE pricey compared to other options. I also don't like that they have an auto-renew on your credit card.

I use the free version of ZipRecruiter for some of my recruiting needs. There are thousands of candidate profiles and resumes available and ZR does a great job of promoting my positions. It is easy enough to sort through the resumes for each, and I appreciate we can download files.

The customer support was all over the place. I was in contact with one rep but 3 others would be calling for my business. To me, this is unprofessional and disorganized.

I have ZipRecruiter as a standard go to to keep up to date on the job market. Love it the most as it isn't all 3rd party. I like direct links, guidance and feedback.It all happens here so they have been in the picture for over 2 years. During this terrible covid time, I am on furlough so it isn't playing a solid role but often tp keep on top of who and what I glance regularly.

There were times a few years ago when I had multiple job searching sites and this one at one point felt like it was too "in my space ". It really turned out to ne helpful by keeping me informed but I have sense learned about filters and what I want.

A lot of recruiting programs that I have used in the past offered no or very little mobile offerings. Zip Recruiter changes all that! Being able to use the program on the fly, especially when I travel for my job, is extremely important! Some times I need to post a job listing as quickly as possible in order to fill open positions and cannot always get to my PC or laptop. Luckily, Zip Recruiter is available through my mobile devices.

Inconvénients

Not exactly a con, per-say, but the software includes access to millions of of job seekers and they are still working on organizing the way recruiters search those resumes. It could be a little easier to find candidates, but overall the program does a good job. The other big downfall is that Zip Recruiter does not post to other job seeking programs like Monster. In some cases, seeing someone on Zip is nice, but looking at them through another site could be a good way to verify information. Hopefully, they correct this.

I inputted all of the information I needed in a candidate to fill a recently opened up role with my company. And I had access to multiple candidates within a few hours. It saved us so much time with filling the position so we were able to focus on the things that matter in our company. I really enjoyed the ability to asked questions that candidates need to complete before submitting. If they did not meet our requirements based off of the questions then it moved their applications to the rejection area.

Overall, we did have few candidates actually apply for the position. If we promoted the listing with TrafficBoost then I have a feeling we could have received more. So if you're looking to get the maximum amount of applicants then you might want to shell over the extra cash to get the extra exposure.

Creating a profile on ZipRecruiter is an easy task and quite straight forward and making easy apply is seamless too.
I also love that it's so easy to make customized job searches on ZipRecruiter.

Ziprecruiter should be expanded to include jobs from more international countries like other tools like linkedin.
I have found that it's a great tool to use and that is the only shortcoming I have observes at the moment.

It is less expensive than Indeed and has more breadth than Craigslist. We do see some qualified traffic.

Some of the promises made up front with the sales team weren't adhered to and were back-tracked out of. It is hard to post by specific region. It is unclear what our actual postings look like and our inbound applications are 1/2 of what Indeed was.

A candidate gets notified when their resume is opened and the candidate rating scale has been used. If we decide to not move forward with a candidate it would be nice to keep that anonymous if we choose.

From the first time I started using ZipRecruiter, I felt like it was very easy to use! Job searching can be very stressful, so it was very important to find a job search engine that didn't make the process even more stressful. I love how easy it was to type in the search bar the type of job you were looking for. It was also great being able to see the company name, that way you can research the company if you'd like to as well!

I did find that there were a few scam posts on ZipRecruiter. That really would be the only negative aspect that I found so far. I would receive some text messages that felt sketchy and knew it wasn't a real job.

Lack of jobs in certain areas! This is not really a con of the software but there are times where certain jobs are just not in demand or companies choose not to post them on zip recruiter. The # of jobs could be increased but this is still a valuable software.

Love love love ZipRecruiter, everything is so seamless. I created my profile in less than 3 minutes and ZipRecruiter has a smart/fast applying so I can just have my profile sent to a bunch of places. I ended up getting my first job out of college from ZipRecruiter.

Nothing, nothing at all, its like Indeed but a little less popular so that you actually stand a chance of the employer looking at your profile and resume!
