Mediocre Job Search Platform

It is a resource for HR but not an optimal software. We choose Indeed.com for much better results.

Avantages

It does have a wide variety of users, many just spam or unresponsive accounts.

Inconvénients

Many unresponsive accounts, we have wasted many HR hours following up with either spam or fake accounts.

Zipping with ZipRecruiter

Overall ZipRecruiter has been a very useful product when it comes to whe I'm searching for employment. A lot of businesses have moved on from simply coming in and filling out an application so using this product allows me more options which is why I say I've had a positive experience.

Avantages

I like all the databases to search for employment. It has a lot of options I feel more so than other job searching products.

Inconvénients

The least thing that I don't really like is all the emails I receive from ZipRecruiter at a time. Especially when the jobs they email me about don't really match what I was looking for.

Look no further than Ziprecuiter

Overall a flawless product. The only site to go to when seeking employment or the hiring of employees. Easy extremely easy to use as applying for jobs usually is just one click and done once your information and resume has been uploaded. You re sent daily emails of the best matched jobs for you based on information you provide and activity tracking so basically all the work is done for you. Ziprecuiter is legit the real deal and your #1 asset when searching for a job or seeling out new employee's they stand alone.

Avantages

What i liked or more so Love is the fact that Ziprecuiter is the real deal not jyst a site full of paid adds always popping up and redirecting like all the others that are just shams. Ziprecuiter has your best interest at finding employment as well as being connected to applicants seeking employment. They diligently work for you seeking out the jobs are best suited for you sending daily emails with listings and the application process is a breeze usually being just 1 click to apply after your information has and or resume has been loaded

Inconvénients

Honestly there are no cons i couldn't even make one up the product is flawless and dies even exceeds all it us intended for

Great tool for job posters, for job seekers, not ideal

Great as a business, so-so as a job seeker. Would recommend overall to businesses.

Avantages

I loved it as a job poster - my boss had me utilize this to aid in sourcing candidates for the startup I was working for at the time. You got a ton of leads, they were very accurate, and the site itself was user friendly - you also were notified promptly and nothing went to Spam (I think there was a good value for the money versus LinkedIn Recruiter).

Inconvénients

As a job seeker, you get a ton of irrelevant and automated postings. I know you can turn these off but they're very annoying, especially when they're totally off-base or below your requirements. It feels like you're being spammed.

I love it!

The best software I have ever used for obtaining excellent dependable applicants. The store and comparisons are too notch.

Avantages

The ease with which it is used as well as the management of candidate profiles. I love the style of the software as well.

Inconvénients

There isn't anything I would change about this software. Nothing at all!!!?

Easy platform for Job searching on the Fly!

Overall I would not shy away from ZipRecruiter if you are an employer looking to hire, or a job seeker looking for that next career move, or first new job. The platforms stands up to it’s advertising, and makes job hunting easy and simple. Given todays world that is a plus, especially when most job seeking is done a mobile device.

Avantages

I like that ZipRecruiter offers a one click apply feature for most of their job posting. Once you setup your profile, and you setup a job search ZipRecruiter will start sending you job posting that match your search, and most have a “One Click” apply feature. This is a nice feature is you are currently working, and don’t have time to sit down and fill-out along application.

Inconvénients

What I like the least is that I feel compared to other platforms, ZipRecruiter may not always have the best, high profile job offered on the platform to job seekers. I understand, that the jobs offered, are by the employers using the site, but I have compared to other platforms, and there seems to be more higher profile jobs listed on some platforms, that I have not seem on ZipRecruiter.

ZipRecruiter helped us to find qualified candidates for the tech jobs that we were looking to...

ZipRecruiter helped us to fill our open positions more quickly and easily than other similar services that we have used. Their pricing is more expensive than almost all similar competitors, but they also provide a better service, which saved us time and helped us to fill positions more quickly, thus offsetting some of the increased costs. If you are looking for highly-skilled applicants and/or applicants with very specific skillsets, then ZipRecruiter is probably your best bet because of their more advanced job criteria settings and search filtering options.

Avantages

ZipRecruiter offers a very easy-to-use user interface with more robust functionality than any of the other job posting services that we have used. It was very simple to develop professional job listings, and the ability to copy existing postings and edit them to make other similar postings was very valuable for us. Their site search functionality is excellent and provides multiple filters to narrow down your list of potential candidates. Their suggested candidates and email notifications worked very well to proactively notify us of potential new candidates for our open positions.

Inconvénients

The pricing is quite expensive compared to similar services, although the advanced features help to offset come of the increased cost by saving time looking for candidates. We received more unqualified candidates applying for our positions than we did with other similar services, which I assume is a result of how easy they make it for users to apply for jobs. The resumes that we received were in a variety of formats and file types, making it difficult to quickly compare potential candidates.

Too Much Noise and Not Enough Quality

I appreciate the volume of people that can see a posting, and for that reason, it can be an effective way to get a lot of applicants. However, most of the applicants are in no way relevant to the position, and we have never successfully hired a candidate from ZipRecruiter. It's not the worst tool out there, but it takes a lot of additional time and resources to wade through the junk.

Avantages

ZipRecruiter is easy to use in general, and it's intuitive for novice HR professionals, which is great.

Inconvénients

The vast majority of resumes we receive from ZipRecruiter have nothing to do with our job posting, don't meet the minimum requirements, and are from all over the country even if we specify location. It felt like constant spam mail and a waste of resources. Not to mention, ZipRecruiter is incredibly expensive versus other recruiting tools.

If you want to spend a lot of money it's a good resource

We did not find any quality candidates on this site. With that being said, i've recommended people sign up to help them look for work but it just did not work for us.

Avantages

It was easy to customize and post a job description and get resumes. I also like that I could send messages to candidates and then direct them to our online application

Inconvénients

It seemed that everything we wanted to do cost more money. Even with using key words in our job titles and descriptions we continued to get candidates that did not come close to what we were looking for. It was very frustrating. When I would ask questions, it always lead to having to pay more money for the service we needed. We finally cancelled and went to another source.

The Walmart of job boards

I have had a ton of placements from Zip candidates. Overall candidate quality really depends on what kind of position you are recruiting for - wouldn't suggest it for Executive recruiting, but for anything below that you get the same quality candidate you do from any other job board.

Avantages

It is cost effective and straight forward. You aren't forced into a 30 day contract for a job posting, if you fill/close a job you just close the job on Zip and you can post another immediately for as long as you have paid for your subscription. Resume database is pretty extensive and more user friendly than that of Indeed or CareerBuilder.

Inconvénients

Pay attention to your resume view counts in the database search feature! If you have already viewed a resume, and you click on it again from the search results, it counts another view from your credits. Make sure to view all previously viewed resumes (if you didn't download) from the "viewed resumes" tab, if you view them from here it does not cost you another "view credit".

Effective Job Finding Tool

My overall experience has been pretty good, but not that much different than other competitors, like Monster or Indeed or LinkedIn. The major problem with all of these sites is that there is very little personal attention. You put your resume on the sites and search for jobs and apply. But the jobs you get sent as possibilities are usually not very accurate in terms of what you might actually be looking for, and a lot of times it feels you get sent emails for potential jobs simply as advertising for the site, rather than any actual work being done to find real jobs you care about. I understand major job searching sites like this might not necessarily have time or capacity to truly help you find a job you like. But it would be nice if they could find a way to make the process more focused and intelligent, rather than feeling like you are just throwing your resume on a site and hoping for the best.

Avantages

It is really easy to set up your profile, upload your resume, and add skills. Then the job searching tool is very effective and easy to use, and it has numerous filters to help you find the specific jobs you are looking for, including allowing you to only find jobs within a certain mile radius of your home, which is very helpful. Overall, the interface is very user-friendly, welcoming, and technologically-sound.

Inconvénients

My one major criticism is with the selection of jobs the site sends you as possible jobs you might be interested in. Most of the time it feels like there is very little thought to what you are being sent, and I end up deleting these notifications almost immediately every time since the jobs aren't really what I've been searching for (but I keep getting the notifications just in case one is something I'm interested in, which occasionally happens). I wish the site would do more to find jobs tailored to what I am looking for, rather than feeling like they are spamming me with info just to remind me they exist.

In al, it is a great software application. If you're in the US, you'll easily get a job.

Great at taking ur money while NOT providing the service!

Nothing, nothing at all!!! So bad!!! There are NO PROS NONE NADA ZERO ZIPPO

Inconvénients

The ads make it sound like they give u great leads and if u pay the prem u get even better candidates. I posted a need for a builder, a person with construction experience. What do I get for 24 bucks a DAY!!!! Pizza delivery drivers!!!!! Worst service EVER!!! And the rep will not take my calls or return my emails! I could hardly get anyone to help me cancel. I will continue to report these people bc my god I need a qualified person that’s why I put my job on their site and what did I get less $$ n my bank account, that’s what I got!

Not for our Industry

Customer service took a while to get someone on the phone, and the billing process is to overtly complicated. You actually get billed for 2 months, even if you are on a trial basis. It just didn't make a lot of sense for me to keep using the software for my company.

Avantages

The only thing I liked about the recruiting software, it helps to drive candidates to your door for interviews. Unfortunately it also drives in the candidates who are not even close to qualifying for the position. In many cases, some of the applicants had no idea what we did. That is mostly there fault, mainly for not researching the company more.

Inconvénients

It drives every single person looking for a job to my in box. 2 Days ago I found myself trying to sift through over 150 applicants in which case I only saw 3 that were acceptable to be called for an interview. Ziprecruiter needs to build in something that weeds out the applicants who are not applicable to our line of work. If I see an applicant who tells me he/she is afraid of heights, ziprecruiter should have been able to weed that out.

User friendly recruiting software

Avantages

- Easy to use for novice HR professionals
- We've had lots of applicants to our positions, nearly 10x as many as if we hadn't used the platform
- Notification system is great, we're never in the dark once someone applies
- Great search functionality and the ability to filter through candidates easily

Inconvénients

- Customer support is a bit lacking. I found we had to wait several days to get answers we were looking for.
- There can be quite a few spam applicants, so you might have to spend extra time vetting the applications that come in which can be annoying.
- Would be nice to have custom templates for applicants to copy/paste their resumes into
- Specialized positions tend to be harder to fill with ZipRecruiter, but that may just be due to the nature of the position

Want more candidates? Use Ziprecruiter!

Overall, Ziprecruiter is a great tool that helps us in our recruitment efforts. It drives more inbound candidates, and is a good addition on top of sourcing and outreach of candidates. Let us remember that not all candidates are on LinkedIn, and with that, we still need the help of Ziprecruiter.

Avantages

Ziprecruiter is one of the job posting websites where we put the job openings we are recruiting for. What I like most from Ziprecruiter is the easy process they've provided to recruiters like us in posting job ads.

Ziprecruiter is also very famous to job seekers so once we post our job openings there, we got a lot of inbound candidates.

I also like the email notification that I receive from Ziprecruiter whenever I receive inbound candidates because aside from providing you the summary of the application or the candidate, it also attaches the candidate's pdf or word resume.

Inconvénients

What I least like about Ziprecruiter is its basicness. It is not timely to millennial job seekers now. I hope Ziprecruiter update their job posting database so that we can add design and catchy colors to our job postings rather than sticking to the normal boring job postings.

Looking to Job or posting a job best site!!!

Overall a very positive experience looking for employment and finding employees. It is very easy to use yet sophisticated platform.

Avantages

When looking for a job it is capable of helping you filter what you are qualified for or looking for per your previous job qualifications if you upload a resume. If you are looking for employees you can specify every detail you would like it to filter to find the perfect hire.

Inconvénients

It cannot filter out people who are not the right match for the job or who are not in the right location occasionally. We would sometimes have individuals apply for GA that were in NY.

Use Zip Recruiter for all of my Recruiting Needs!

I currently use Zip Recruiter as my only job board. We are discussing renewing the contract and I am all for it!

Avantages

I started using Zip Recruiter for my recruiting business over two years ago. I have been happy with the response rate and quality of applicants up until lately.

Inconvénients

It seems recently, past 4 months, that the quality of applicants and the volume of candidates has dropped. I am certain that this is not just Zip Recruiter but this is a trend across all job boards.

Use ZipRecruiter to find a great job in your local area

They are A+ in my book. I will continue to use ZipRecruiter in the future.

The email delivery option for job offers works great!

Inconvénients

I really like ZipRecruiter, I really cannot think of anything negative. I would however be nice if they were to add advice for creating awesome resumes.

Great overall experience! Easy, light app to use, informational & modern sleek setting for job search and employers too!

Avantages

I liked how easy it was to navigate when looking for jobs to apply for. It is organized and provide all helpful information about every job detail. Which makes it great for job applicants to see what they want to apply for. The quick easy tool to apply which pops beside the job information is a great quick way to apply also for job applicants!

Inconvénients

It would be nice if they can create a way where you don't need to sign up rather just go straight to sending the resume and filling up the name and number. Other than that it's a really good site for job search.

Easy Job Board to use as an employer

Avantages

I like that this job board lets candidates see a company logo bubble for each position. When it comes to marketing jobs, being able to see the company logo is very important and can be the difference between recognizing a company and applying for a position versus not applying for the position at all. Adding company description, job title and compensation to a job posting is incredibly easy and user friendly.

Inconvénients

My biggest complaint is that there aren't more options when it comes to posting compensation. In some cases I would like to add additional information like a figure for potential bonus or a figure for an average commission. My other complaint is the ZipRecruiter almost makes it too easy for candidates to apply for jobs. People are applying for jobs without actually looking at what they are applying for. This is a pro and a con to some. Having the 1-click and apply method sometimes doesn't do me any good when looking at candidates because I know a majority of these people didn't actually take the time to look at the job description and its requirements.

ZipRecruiter is a fantastic site that is great to use for both applicants and recruiters. Applicants have a wide variety of job postings to choose from, while recruiters have the highest quality applicants to choose from. ZipRecruiter is simple to use, as anyone can easily use and understand the website.

Avantages

ZipRecruiter allows companies to hire the best candidates possible. ZipRecruiter is very easy to use and has a very organized interface. The website displays a vast array of different jobs, allowing applicants to find the best suited job. ZipRecruiter is great for both recruiters and applicants, as I highly recommend anyone and everyone to use the site.

Inconvénients

ZipRecruiter does not post to the biggest job boards similar to Indeed. However, the pros of using this site certainly outweigh the negatives.

Great Way to Find a Job

ZipRecruiter makes it easy to apply to many jobs with their Quick Apply button, there is not a better way to find a new job.

Avantages

The best part about ZipRecruiter is that as an applicant you feel like your application is not being missed and is going out to all the right places.

Inconvénients

ZipRecruiter does feel like it is catered to companies that are hiring, rather than the candidate, so many of the features are built for the hiring party.

Zip Recruiter

I have had an overall good experience, I have been using the software for 2+ years.

Avantages

I like that I am able to post and search for jobs for free. Sometimes the company are looking for temporary workers, so I will go online to post job listings. I also, search myself for extra gigs.

Inconvénients

I dislike that you have to be signed in, in order to complete an application. That is about it, nothing too major.

Move Along!

Avantages

My favorite thing about ZipRecruiter, which is a stretch, is how easy it is to sign up to the platform. My review is based from a candidate perspective, and not an employer perspective, but much beyond the ease of signing up, I don't enjoy the platform.

Inconvénients

Everything else. Seriously, I wouldn't recommend this platform to any employer or candidate.

- The emails seem scammy. As a candidate, I get about three emails a day all of which have the same jobs that they sent me yesterday. For some reason, those same jobs never get filled... weird, huh? Not to mention, in the email, they have random things capitalized (super scammy).
- Low quality of jobs. If you're an employer, there are much better job sites out there that don't seem more approachable and better for placing talent into jobs.

So all in all, move along to the next platform. Cough (Glassdoor) cough.

ZipRecruiter Review

Despite some downsides in the system, I love using ZipRecruiter to find new positions and roles in my field. The system allows me to quickly and efficiently apply to jobs, notifies me when new similar positions are open, and even tells me if someone looked at my application. It makes me feel like I am in the know about the opportunities I have instead of me doing all the work myself.

Avantages

I love using ZipRecruiter to find positions in certain fields in specific areas in the US. ZipRecruiter allows me to store my information in its system so that whenever I find a job that I like, I can go ahead and use my stored information to submit my application instead of having to re-type all my info. ZipRecruiter also contacts me via email with jobs similar to the one's I was looking at in the areas I was looking in via email so that I am up-to-date with the latest postings and can jump right on to those applications first. Super useful when looking for a job!

Inconvénients

ZipRecruiter's algorithm to send and show you similar positions and roles can be very useful, but also very annoying. For example, if I type in a specific type of engineering in the search bar, ZipRecruiter sometimes spams me with emails about all types of engineering positions because their system only picked up the word "engineering" and not my specified kind of engineering. Can be very annoying to sift through all those emails and usually I end up deleting them without looking at them which defeats the purpose of them.

Not a big fan

Not great, it is a great sales organization but there are more effective and cheaper solutions.

Avantages

It was extremely user friendly and flashy with it's design and layout. The customer advocates were knowledgeable and very quick to respond.

Inconvénients

It was extremely expensive. Not only did you pay a regular fee you had to boost the posts so much that it was cost prohibitive and each conversation resulted in the advocate telling you to spend more money. When we were paying thousands and not receiving qualified candidates we pulled the plug.

Makes Hiring (and finding a job) Super Easy!

Overall I have had a very positive experience with ZipRecruiter as both an Employer and Job Seeker. It makes it easy to search for and organize your candidate pool, and super easy to apply to a ton of jobs at once. I would highly recommend ZipRecruiter for either side of the industry!

Avantages

I have great things to say about this product as both an Employer and Job Seeker.

Employer: it's easy to sort, review, decline/accept applications. I love the ability to view everyone's resumes in one spot, and mark them off as yes, no, or maybe which is very helpful for when we're discussing a candidate with the team. The communication/messaging board is easy to use and we love having everything organized in one place. The email notifications can get a bit overwhelming, but you can easily turn those off.

Job Seeker: this makes applying to jobs so quick and easy. I frequently utilized the "one-click apply" function and was able to massively increase my job search. Searching for remote jobs can be difficult since mostly Uber and Lyft jobs pop up, but after some digging you can really find what you're looking for. ZipRecruiter allowed me to apply to many more jobs more quickly than going through Indeed or LinkedIn.

Inconvénients

As a Job Seeker, I had a harder time searching for Remote jobs. Mostly Uber and Lyft jobs showed up, since those companies posted the same job description for almost every single city in the US. So no matter where I searched, I was getting repeat job listings. I wish ZipRecruiter could recognize and delete duplicate listings, which would make it much easier for job seekers to find the real unique job postings.

Finds me the best candidates with accurate search filters

I absolutely love using ZipRecruiter in my everyday recruiting activities of the appropriate candidates for the job openings we have. It not only has great filters to put but also provides user-friendly graphics and easy to learn. There could be a filter on the years of experience of the profile, it would be really helpful.

Great app tp use

Avantages

What I like the most about the software is that it shows you how to use the site and publish a job posting, whether you have one or not. and it also shows you who has viewed your resume or application that you have sent to zip recruiter.

Inconvénients

What i least like about the app is that. Even though your application get viewed it doset tell you who exactly kije then name of the person it however it will tell you the company.

I really liked the advertising and pairing Zip uses to get applicants in a role they are suited for or interested in. Zip takes their clients backgrounds and suitability and pairs it with a potential match

Expensive and lackluster results.

Avantages

They constantly offer free trials, however you really don’t get any value out of it.

Inconvénients

It’s very expensive to actually post a productive job listing. No guarantee and results. We’ve used it several times with no luck. We are in the service industry.

My overall experience with Ziprecruiter has been good. I completed my application and a couple days later I had an interview.

Avantages

What I enjoy most about the software is the ease of use. The layout is easy to understand. The application process is easy and it is more likely to get a call back if application is completed.

Inconvénients

I havent really found anything that I disapprove of in the app. It is well put together and easy to use.

Good aplication for jobs

I got a response really quick , the site was very efficient

I appreciate ZipRecruiter in light of the fact that it permits a simple application process once you are a record holder. The 1-click apply is exceptionally simple to utilize and just in specific cases are there extra subsequent inquiries. This stage is really proficient time savvy and permits me a ludicrous measure of various open positions. The profile is not difficult to set up, and in situations where I have applied to a task I have gotten an email or call from the organization in no time.

Inconvénients

The main con I found with this product is truly one that is self-inflicted and can without much of a stretch be wound down with the snap of a mouse. What's more, that is when Zip spotter finances a place that is dependent on your resume and your own inclinations. It cut to the chase where my telephone was ceaselessly dinging or vibrating to tell me that a task was accessible that coordinated with my inclinations.

Makes job hunting easy

I love that it (usually) intelligently recommends jobs for me based on my skills and resume. This tool saves me at least 10 minutes per job application as I do not need to enter all of my contact info, employment history, skills, education, references, etc. into yet another form page. I can just click apply, answer a couple of qualifying questions and be done with it!

Avantages

I love that I can fill in all of my information ONE TIME and apply away to my heart's content, knowing that all of my data is in the appropriate discrete fields for the reviewer to analyze. So much time spent applying for jobs is wasted filling in the exact same data into the form fields of dozens of applicant management/tracking systems, and this tool helps eliminate that waste.

It's great that the tool automatically recommends related jobs I may be interested in as well!

Inconvénients

They send a MASSIVE amount of emails by default. I was receiving close to 10 per day for all of the job alerts I may be interested in. This is excellent in a way, and it very well could have been because I missed some setting somewhere, but I had to tone it down a lot.

A few of the job recommendations that are sent over are inaccurate. For example, if I was interested in "Systems Administrator" it would occasionally recommend "Administrative Assistant" - I'd say only about 1 out of 30 jobs were like this though.

A little slow to post data--Its often stale information--Needs improvement for ease of use

Carrer search and job notification tool and mechanism, but often too late to the game to be of any real help. Many of not most of the listings are scrapes from other sites and posting and are too late to be of help.

Avantages

Easy to check postings, but often they are stale; Having Phone, mobile and desktop versions is helpful.

Inconvénients

too many emails, not enough description in emails to learn of its a requested search result, or a AI-driven announcement. So not easy or clear way for user to fine-tune emails and search reports.

Not enough AL to take your job targets and only send you titles you desire, plus maybe one step removed in type of job. The quick apply using a folio of pre-submitted resume and materials is too loose and not offered enough. Needs an auto-building system for custom resumes ad custom cover letters to adjust for each application by the end-user. This is the killer feature they are missing.

Fantastic Platform for Finding Relevant Jobs

Time is money and wasted opportunities are mitigated with how easy it is to set up a profile and apply for jobs!

Avantages

ZipRecruiter is a fantastic solution to wasting time filling out form after form, upload after upload of resumes. They make it simple with their 1-Click Apply feature. That's all it really takes, and you're done! Their emails are relevant and detailed to better educate me on open positions and required qualifications.

Inconvénients

It's actually my preferred job board for ease-of-use alone. I wish all other platforms were more like ZipRecruiter. If I had any complaint it would be to please make other platforms just as great.
