Zip Recruiter Review

I think it is a good tool to use whether you are looking for a job or looking for someone to fill your job opening within your organization!

Avantages

I have used this software on both sides of the coin. I have used it as someone looking for a job, and also as someone who was looking for an employee for a job I was currently employed too. From the looking for a job stand point, I think this software is very helpful. Actually, the interviews that I got while looking for a job were from organizations reaching out to me on Zip Recruiter, not me sending in my resume to organizations. I really like that the organization has to reach out to you, then you know they are really interested and you are not just sending your resume into someone who already has their candidate picked for their job.

Inconvénients

On the side of looking for someone from inside an organization, I have found it somewhat difficult to teach older generations how to use the software. It is very opposite of what they have in their mind when it comes to finding someone to fill a job opening. They have a hard time approaching people instead of the candidates coming to apply.

good to look through options, very rarely are options relevant

with the application's prominent 1-click apply feature and job alerts, it's pretty simple to use. i only wish the search results were better tailored to my skill set. i will continue to use it with the hopes that it gets better.

Avantages

in conjunction with being able to advertise myself as a potential employee, ziprecruiter sends me alerts when an employer has viewed my application.

Inconvénients

with all the job openings that show up when using the app, very few of them are positions that are in my field. I am often searching for long periods of time before i see anything remotely related to what i'm searching for.

ZIPrecruiter has become one of the better online job sites

As an employer, knowing that we would be getting about 3 times the # of resumes as we would usually gave us a better chance of finding the right candidate if we could give each resume the time it deserved.

Avantages

ZIPrecruiter is easy to use both from the employer perspective and the job searcher. It has taken the model of Monster and Career Builder of old, kept the good - discarded the bad, and today represents one of the better options out there whether you are hiring or trying to be hired. . As an employer, you will get a lot of results so stay organized and efficient to maximize the tool.

Inconvénients

The characteristics that make ZR so good are the same things that can make it difficult to manage. Ease of use for employee-hopefuls allows them to sling out resumes at a record speed. This can create feeling overwhelmed with the process and if you aren't careful, you will find yourself moving through resumes just to finish. For job seekers, you may feel like you got a lot of resumes out but quantity may not trump quality.

The Best Recruiting Platform For Businesses Of All Sizes

We have tried Indeed, and LinkedIn Jobs and found that ZipRecruiter is the best platform for job postings and we have successfully hired great people.

Avantages

It's the most user friendly. The template for posting positions is well thought out.

Inconvénients

The ZipRecruiter salespeople are constantly hounding us about our postings.

Narrows down the field effectively

Avantages

We are a small company, so departments handle their own hiring, and run everything by HR at the very end. Have used zip recruiter because we find with some of the smaller jobs we try to hire for we get a multitude of people that apply without even reading the job description. They see buyer, assume its a merchandising job, and suddenly we get people who want to work in fashion, which we definitely do not.

Zip recruiter does allow us to see applicants that make the most sense in an easy to use dashboard. We definitely see a lot less "incomplete" resumes. For instance no resumes with one line, or missing things like work experiences or education or contact information. Also able to search by keyword through resumes, which is nice if we ant to see if they have broadcast experience or something else that would be listed.

Inconvénients

Due to the fact that we are a small company that hires very rarely, it's not always the most cost effective way to go about searching for someone to hire.

Relevant Matches & Quality connections

I have been using ZipRecruiter for many years now but it wasn't until recently when I decided to update my profile and be serious about my ziprecruiter profile did I finally see the true value in the software. I never had much success nor have I really tried with ziprecruiter but when I put the time and effort in the rewards were substantial. The daily job alerts were geared towards me and my job search/criteria... the leads put me in touch with companies that I had not been aware of prior to ziprecruiter... additionally I was put out there for companies to contact me which was a nice surprise and a change of pace rather than constantly chasing down companies that you were trying to get into.

Avantages

I really enjoyed the robust Network of companies that ZipRecruiter connected me with. Additionally, the accuracy and consistency in the zip recruiter matching between myself and actively recruiting companies was a pleasant surprise

Inconvénients

The layout and look are slightly dated and cumbersome to manage. I've also found it difficult to return to previously viewed job openings once I had left that page if I forgot to add things to my favorites sometimes they would just be gone forever.

ZipRecruiter is the best job board out there!

If you are having time in recruiting IT or Executive positions, ZipRecruiter is the best companion to guide and help you!

Avantages

I have been using ZipRecruiter as one of my alternative sourcing tool in recruiting. ZipRecruiter makes it easier for me to finish the candidate search, because once you post your job opening in ZipRecruiter it will open a great door to receiving a lot of candidates.

ZipRecruiter is very helpful because some great fits doesn't have any linkedin accounts so ZipRecruiter enabled me to connect with them.

What I also like about ZipRecruiter is the ability to indicate a follow up question to the applicants by just merely provisioning it on ZipRecruiter which is every helpful for me in avoiding phone interviews to prospect candidates - saves my time!

Inconvénients

I don't have anything negative to comment regarding ZipRecruiter. Maybe one that they can improve on is putting templates or design that those who are subscribed on their platform can make their job posting nice and compelling!

Job seekers

Overall it's been a good experience and I continue to still receive alerts/ notifications for new opportunities on a regular basis.

Avantages

The PROS with this product is that allows you to get notifications of jobs that you're interested in without going to the website continuously.

Inconvénients

One of the cons on this product is sometimes they are not that accurate as far as the positions that you may be interested.

Not as helpful as I thought

While zip recruiter did help me find many job postings, the postings that came up in my searches did not always apply to the position that I was looking for nor did they necessarily apply to the search dates and I was therefor often shown postings for jobs that were more than a month old and would likely not even be available anymore. The site was not nearly as helpful in finding a job as I thought it would be.

Avantages

ZipRecruiter is easy to use and it does provide a decent amount of employment opportunity postings.

Inconvénients

My biggest issue with ZipRecruiter is the reliability of the employment opportunities listed. Many times I have seen job postings and clicked on them only to find that they were actually misleading staffing agency postings that were posted in order to lure people into applying for a job that did not exist. Also, I did often find job postings that did not fit within the search range that I had put in as far as the date of the job posting was concerned.

Ziprecruiter: As A Job Marketing Platform for Advertisers in Programmatic

Ziprecruiter was used in a programmatic buy in order to post job ads for some particular clients. However, the simplicity of the product didn't allow for optimization and slow response times led this to be a somewhat back burner type of platform. To elaborate, the importance of Ziprecruiter in overall buys was thought as 3rd tier and was usually an afterthought where if there was extra budget, this avenue would be explored. The performance was generally lower as well compared to the other larger job aggregate sites.

Avantages

The dashboard was simple, hence it was easy to navigate and use. It was by far the simplest one to navigate through between the big job posting programmatic platform: Indeed, Glassdoor, Monster, and Ziprecruiter. However, this easiness of navigation and usage also comes with its own drawbacks.

Inconvénients

The simplicity was both positive and negative. From a negative perspective, the dashboard simply displayed basic metrics and there isn't a section on the backend to manually pull any levers to increase performance or test out optimizations. If changes were needed to be made, this always required reaching out to a rep which would be tedious since their response times were slow and they generally gave very basic suggestions.

Great but check the filters

Overall they do a very good job and I am always wondering how many people that my resume even makes it to. They say that employers "see" my resume but I don't know if they just get an email or actually read what I put. So you are never really sure if you are just spinning your wheels.

Avantages

This is a great tool to see what jobs are available in your area or others. The description for each job is very good and I enjoy the estimated salaries that they publish.

Inconvénients

One has to be very careful with the filters. If you are looking for a job in an area you may get jobs that are either months old because they are sponsored ads or you will get something that is 100's of miles away because it says the job is in the USA and not just your area.

ZipRecruiter Gives me the Best Candidates

Overall, I love Zip. It is a really easy platform to use. I use the 2 free listings that are part of my ADP package, and the company also purchased additional listings as well

Avantages

The ease of use, functionality, and seamless transition to my career site makes zip recruiter one of my favorite tools. I use Zip through my ADP Run platform. As one of our tools in the suite, I can easily post jobs or search resume from within the ADP software. I love this feature!

Inconvénients

I can't really think of a dislike. I've found that I have good quality candidates. Oh, there is one thing. I recently posted a job that required a person to be a licensed practical nurse or higher. I set a screening question. I thought that this would filter out those that weren't LPNs. It did not. It simply showed me that they failed at this question. Now, this could be my mistake - maybe I didn't set the parameters right. However, I don't want to see people that I'm screening away from

More inbound candidates? Try ZipRecruiter

ZipRecruiter is a great help for all our recruitment needs. ZipRecruiter is best used for executive positions but downplays its essence in terms of rank and file recruitment.

Avantages

We are using ZipRecruiter in our company since it gives us a steady stream of inbound candidates. Sourcing on LinkedIn, and sending outreach emails to candidates are a good deal since by that process we have already screened the candidates. However, not all candidates are found on LinkedIn. Almost half of interested candidates that we process for our company openings especially in our Executive Search arm are from ZipRecruiter.

I like the functionality of ZipRecruiter that you can include qualifying questions to your job posting. It is like a first line of defense to weed out unfit and not really interested candidates.

Inconvénients

The only bottleneck I have with ZipRecruiter is that the templates for posting are cynical. You can't really incorporate much design that will make the job posting interesting.

I hope ZipRecruiter steps up its game, and be mindful that most job hunters now are millennial, and they need to ramp up in terms of being responsive to the modern candidate pool

Zip Recruiter is a great tool for finding candiates

Zip Recruiter is the easiest to use and most functional recruiting software. Take advantage of your customer service rep. They are able to get you great bundles, and really help you narrow down your search to areas that will bring you the most candidates.

Avantages

Zip Recruiter has an easy to use dashboard that puts everything right in front of you. I like being able to filter candidates by ratings, or if they have been unrated.

Inconvénients

When you open up the candidates screen, it opens up a "view" of a candidate. That candidate is told you have viewed their resume, even if you are not interested. I have had a few people reach out that I have looked at their resumes, that were not right for the job.

Too impersonal

Avantages

I like searching for the keywords of the employee qualifications I’m looking for

Inconvénients

The opposite of what I like, people can submit resumes using the 1 tap to apply and I’m not sure if they even read my job description or what I’m looking for. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve reached out and I was questioned about who I was and why I’m calling. If you’re applying for a job, I would hope you not only keep track but make sure you’re applying for a position that you’re qualified for. Not just because zip recruiter says so

ZipRecruiter Review

On a scale of 1-10, I would give them an 8.

Avantages

I like the platform; Posting Jobs-Managing the post - the ease of doing it.
I worked with a Rockstar Account Manager named in 2018 who was amazing. She helped me elevate my account and guided me through a very busy time we had in our business. She taught me how to GEO target my posts. With her guidance - we received some excellent candidates that went onto secure positions with our retained clients.

Inconvénients

Cons: The "perfect match" candidates they send me based on my post and algorythms. They NEVER match what I need. In fact they are very random.
The add ons to boost a post or sponsor a post is about more $. For a small firm every dollar counts and I feel at times a company of this size should do something for the LOYAL customer base to keep us and not just deals or promotions to get new clients in the door. If they kept all of us with a Loyalty reward program of some kind that would be appreciated.

A great find for job hunters!

My overall experience with ZipRecruiter was a great. I recommend it to people all the time. The One-Click-Apply feature is a great bonus. ZipRecruiter is definitely an asset for anyone job-searching these days. A great resource!

Avantages

The One-Click Apply feature is my absolute favorite! Job Applications are laborious at times. Filling in the same information repeatedly can be so draining. One-Click Apply makes job applications seamless! I also felt like there was a healthy volume of jobs to choose from, second only to Indeed. Zip Recruiter was a large part of my life during my job search. I am thankful for it.

Inconvénients

Unfortunately, I had several issues with my resume saving properly. Sometimes when I would apply for a job, I would have to use my zip recruiter resume and not my own resume file and it did not always save properly. When applying for a job, your resume needs to be very polished. I was sometimes concerned that my resume might have formatting issues when applying with Zip Recruiter.

It has it's moments

With this kind of program, there's nothing that is perfect...it comes with pros and cons. Overall i think it's good...not great, but for a low price service it's pretty decent.

Avantages

Overall it's a decent software. It's easy to navigate and it's pretty intuitive to use. It's better I think if you are looking for a job than posting a job. There are lots of jobs posted so again if you are looking for work then it's great.

Inconvénients

As someone posting jobs, there was a huge price increase that caught me off guard. There's lot of competition as an employer as there are many similar jobs. And from the flip side, when looking for working there are lots of nonsense jobs that could even be a scam...so just proceed with caution.

Free trial wasn't worth it...

High hopes for drawing excellent candidates from their fancy pants candidate pool were dashed upon the rocks with laughter at our piddly, near-empty pockets. Save your time and start and stick with Indeed insetad!

Avantages

Peppy advertising, flashy website, and lauding the ease and amazing results of their product drew me in when selecting a hiring website for my expanding company. But the free trial had a lot less features than you realized it did and it was painfully obvious looking at search results, which companies were "cheapie freebie" users and which ones shelled out the cash...not that I diasgree with the premise as a whole but some "company-size based" pricing would have been a lot more helpful in pulling my business than treating me as less than because I could afford less than.

Inconvénients

The "free trial" was such a dismal defeat and the other sites we used (Indeed particularly), that Zip basically was forgotten about on their own. They didn't come knocking on my email inbox in any attempt to persuade and communicate with me at all. They didn't care I didn't like the pricing, they just moved their time to someone else who could.

Best job finder

My overall experience with ZipRecruiter would be that its a really great app to download on your phone when looking for a job! Even customer service is fast responding and will help work with your needs when applying for a job .

Avantages

What i liked most about this software was that I could easily make my resume one
Time and than when applying for jobs on zip recruiter all i had to do was click apply and it sent all the info over to the specific job I was applying for. Time,speed and the outcome of me getting a job were all pros of this software.

Inconvénients

I have to say the only thing i didn't quite like about zip recruiter was the amount of jobs available on this software. I would probably suggest adding more jobs. Keeping up with the amount of jobs hiring. I do think that would be the only con i can think of for this specific software.

If it's free, its ME!

One of the best sites I say to look for work out there that gives the user the ease of clicking and splitting. Looking for a job is stressful enough and you need to market yourself out there by putting in those applications at a larger scale. I highly recommend this site. Get your job search/hunt done in 20 minutes!

Avantages

For one, the fact the site is absolutely free and has no strings attached when you are sending out applications. It is a stress-free website that has a user-friendly interface making it much easier to make customizations to your account, without searching everywhere. When you are out looking for a job, you don't want to waste so much time on ONE application, when let's be real, we need to put out 20 or 30 to get considered. This site actually allows you to click and split!

Inconvénients

Some of the ads can be annoying getting you to apply to some marketing agency. But just make sure to really read the description before clicking.

ZIPRECRUITER IS TOP NOTCH!!

I have had great success with the quality of this service/software. I will continue, as well as my company, to use this feature and benefit to help grow my office, as well as sourcing and recruiting candidates for my company. I am overall very impressed with the ease of use, and the total functionality of the software. ZipRecruiter has been an important part of the staffing industry, and a key element to my business growth.

Avantages

ZIpRecruiter's software and functionality is second to none when it come to ease of use and overall productivity and response time. I always receive ample amount of candidates for the staffing and recruiting industry. And the software is overall the EASIEST I have used for sourcing and recruitment compatibility.

Inconvénients

Their customer service and troubleshooting training is a bit sub par, but overall, when it comes down to it, there could be far worse. Sometimes it is difficult to get an answer right away if there is a technical issue that crops up. Also, there are FAR too many candidates that respond to a posting or requisition that are coming from totally DIFFERENT countries. I can't get a job for someone who lives in Saudi Arabia. So that is annoying on a whole.

Helpful and Easy

I have had the ability to have easier chances of hiring a virtual assistant or hire someone to assist me with my company. In addition, it has allowed me to see opportunities for myself that has now helped me have the great workers I have today.

Job Seeking Place For Beginner & Experienced

Overall I can give 8/10 to ZipRecruiter, the Best place to find jobs in Europe but you are unable to search for any job in Asia Pacific Region.

Avantages

I have found ZipRecruiter a good site for job seekers, beginners, and experienced ones as well. The site is using Artificial Intelligence API to suggest the upcoming jobs but you can also find them by your choice and through your location or postal address. Further, if you are a recruiter then you can also get skilled employees from here.

Inconvénients

One major con I have found that it does not operate in the Asia region, it only operates in the European region, so that if a person wants to find a job in Asia, He is unable to search for a job here. Furthermore, they should mention the salary per hour or per month for every job which I was unable to find.

AI based job matching board, give it a try

I am using it to apply to job overseas. Although I have not got any responses, but I find it easy and positive to use this job board

Account Executive

I think ZipRecruiter is a great tool for candidates than many other job sites. I do like how user-friendly and how readable the job description layout is. Its nice to have an overview of everything important such as salary etc. before reading the description.

Avantages

Account set up is easy and there are some reputable companies on there. Its an easy application process with the one-click apply functionality which is extremely nice as applying to jobs can become very tedious. Also, the job alerts is a nice feature they have and seem well aligned with the types of jobs I look for.

Inconvénients

I think there are some questionable companies on there. I received a few unexpected calls from recruiters that found my resume on ZipRecruiter and did not even introduce themselves until the very end. I am not certain how they received my resume since my profile is not public. I think ZipRecruiter can do a better job informing companies on how to appropriately recruit and not "spam" potential job applicants. Phone calls over emails usually seem to be the case when recruiters reach out which isn't that helpful if candidates can't always have lengthy conversations over the phone unexpectedly. There also isn't a way to follow up on jobs you applied for unless the job posting has a specific email listed.

Preferred to Indeed

Has been excellent in terms of overall output which is how you really have to evaluate these things. We have filled five roles in the last 60 days alone and while we use multiple software options to try and find candidates, all five winners in the last two months have come from ZipRecruiter. It has literally made my job much easier and since I have to do all the legwork to sift, sort, and schedule the interviews and follow ups (as well as a slight bonus from the right hires that pan out) I have to send a big thank you to all the people at ZipRecruiter who have literally made my life simpler and easier so far in 2020.

Avantages

I'll keep this short because it is just about a job hiring software so not life and death by any means, but I just felt it was important to get this out there because I have used a number of hiring software options and recruiters over the last two years to fill administrative and various roles in our branch of the organization and there has been a signficantly higher number of good candidates through ZipRecruiter than the other options including Indeed, which was actually my preferred option until we just kept getting let down by the hiring pool.

Inconvénients

It's not the easiest to use or most affordable. Also, we get a lot of candidates who don't really qualify so I am not sure how they get through the initial QA process.

Ziprecuiter is great for fast applications.

Overall, ZipRecruiter is a good place for looking for jobs; you can easily and quickly apply to multiple jobs.

Avantages

It is easy and fast for job searchers to send applications using the 1-click application feature. Job searchers can use the same resume without having to re-enter their information (which is extremely annoying and a waste of time). Usually, you have added a cover letter, you can change it to suit what you are applying for.

Inconvénients

What I liked least about this software is that, as a job searcher, there are often recruiters contacting me for positions that I am not interested in. It would be nice if there could be a filter for this kind of interactions.

Zip Recruiter for getting similar job postings to your title

Avantages

I like that its algorithm tries to match the job posting opportunities to your job title and previous experiences as well as what you've recently been searching for.

Inconvénients

The email reminders about new postings can get annoying especially when they don't factor in your location or years of experience. This leads to a mismatch in my interest (jobs I'm interested in), jobs available and the ones that I am qualified for.

Finding a job.

Avantages

Pros are that it's easy to use. There's no issue with searching for job postings or editing your account details/resume. Love the feature where you can quick apply - makes it much faster to apply for jobs. Solid format and easy to use overall. Happy with its features and AI support.

Inconvénients

I feel like it's exactly the same as Indeed except Indeed is well-known and ZipRecruiter isn't as popular. There's an option to post job openings and things like that on socials but I do not personally have any social media platforms so people who don't have socials or hardly use them aren't really benefitting from that option. 4-day trial should be longer...lots of people I know simply switch to Indeed for this reason. Other than that, it's a great option for finding/posting jobs!

Zip Recruiter - Lots of hype, lots of noise, not much help

Frustrating. The mobile app is almost worthless.
All the same issues from what I least liked.
The emails about potential roles are a nice feature-- if the selected roles were a good match.
Sending an email back to an automated bot about why a role is not a fit ( simple things: location, rate, not even a close skill match) seems to actually do nothing.

Avantages

The tile view of potential positions is good-- if the jobs were relevant.
There do seem to be a lot of roles posted and having salary data available is a nice feature.

Inconvénients

Search results are awful. Does not apply salary range to a search. Does not seem to eliminate certain types of jobs based on Job title and/or the category a job is in.
Even when dismissing suggested jobs, system keep presenting them so there is a lot of time working thru the postings to find roles that are at least a close match.

Look No Further

Avantages

What I like about Zip Recruiter is that it does just that; Recruits you to job positions you are seeking! They make it easy to get set up and job searching. Then all you have to do is sit and wait for the jobs to come to you! All you have to do is enter your information, upload resumes, and choose the filters you want, and then, BOOM, you get emails informing you of what is available depending on the search criteria you entered for your interests in job's.

Inconvénients

The only thing I would alter is how many emails you get. A few every week is acceptable, but if I've already accepted a job offer or signed up for a listing, I'd rather focus on it until the ad expires or the position is filled before switching to other postings. Too many emails are being sent. If there was a method to stop receiving emails until you needed the service again, it would be preferable to having to re-enter all of my information each time I wanted to subscribe.

Lack of Quality/Customizations

I really wanted ZipRecruiter to give quality candidates instead I was inundated with really poor resumes. The platform does not work best for finding software engineers or hard to fill positions. Instead, I think it is better for entry level positions or hourly. I think the price point is affordable but compared to the other tools I use, ZipRecruiter does not cut it.

Avantages

ZipRecruiter gives out a free trial which is nice so you can try before you buy. I think for non tech or entry level positions, this platform works the best. If your generally looking to up your resume count, Ziprecruiter delivers that but at the cost of quality. Another pro is that this platform can integrate with your ATS and you can do job postings as well. It is very user friendly and you can easily post or remove positions. I believe smaller organizations with entry level / hourly positions can possibly benefit from this platform.

Inconvénients

As a recruiter, I look for quality rather than quantity when it comes to our tech or non-tech positions. When using this platform, I found the most unqualified folks applying to our positions and felt that the quality was really missing. Out of 20 resume submissions, I couldn't find 1 resume that could even come close to meeting our job requirements. In my Linkedin recruiter account, I notice more quality and less quantity but it works better for me.

Way to a plethora of candidates in a short time

I spend a lot of time on the system so I know what I'm looking for and most candidates were honest in their self assessment. It was a good tool to use and I enjoyed working with the dashboards, the thumbs up and down made me feel like Caesar...lol, but help to keep me organized. I also like the "great matches" and the distance to where the candidate lived to see how far their commute would be as we are expected to work on clients premises (remote work not being an option).

Avantages

ZipRecuriter lays out the candidates information beautifully, I can capture important information fast and weed out the candidates that do no qualify expeditiously. I like that it includes a resume as well as other features and does a good match section if it captures patterns in the employment algorithm. I like that it allows you to write deal breaker questions if you are looking for a particular skills set, or candidates that already come with a clearance, or other mandated qualifications.

Inconvénients

It often matches you with people who are no longer looking, it matches you with people who think they are a software engineer (because they want to be, however they can be qualified swim instructors with little software skills. It puts resumes into your portfolio and the candidate did not know, so they are not always responsive to emails or calls thinking they did not submit a resume for this particular role...so they don't know how you got their resume. Most are delighted to get a call....however you get the candidate that is mildly annoyed a defense contractor has responded and not private industry.

Zip recruiter will give you a lot of resumes but....

I would probably rate zip recruiter a 10/10 for lower level jobs like a help desk, or a customer support job, or something like that. However, higher level or jobs that require years of experience with different systems or software... zip recruiter is not the tool for you. You’ll end up wasting time looking through resumes that don’t match what you’re looking for (which is what their commercials claim to avoid!). Great, great customer service though. They have even gone the extra mile to give me job posting upgrades for free to try to get the right people for my particular jobs.

Avantages

It’s a very “2018+” product. Super easy to use interface, and you can easily understand how to navigate the system.

Inconvénients

The worst part is that ziprecruiter pounds you with a ton of resumes, but in my experience if you’re a government contractor and your jobs have very specific requirements, then zip recruiter doesn’t get you the resumes that you need.

Avantages

ZipRecruiter is a great software that I currently use. Now that I'm just about to finish my degree and earn my Bachelor's Degree, I'm at that point where I'm starting to look at different companies out there that's currently hiring for positions that match my skills and qualifications. Using ZipRecruiter has made my life so much easier. I love how I created a profile and was able to upload my resume which saves so that all my information is all there for the next time I logged on to the site. The other thing I absolutely love is the fact that employers are able to seek out potential employees that fit for the position that they re hiring for by viewing your profile. I get emails all the time with employers reaching out to me asking to schedule an interview. I love it!

Inconvénients

I love this software just the way it currently is. However, it would be nice to have a feature on the page where your profile is that keeps track of more different information, such as scheduling interviews. It would be nice to log on my ziprecruiter profile and seeing upcoming interviews that I have scheduled and not just employers that have viewed my profile/application (like which companies I have applied to).

Thank goodness for ZipRecruiter

I have seen so many benefits using ZipRecruiter. The main benefit is a better pool of candidates to choose from.

Avantages

I have used several similar software programs - but I really prefer this one. It is user friendly, easy to use, and we seem to get a really good group of candidates compared to other programs.

Inconvénients

I am new to using this software program - so I am still a newbie. I don't "not like" anything - I just need some time to continue to learn how to use it.

ZipRecruiter: Decent Recruiting Tool

Overall I think ZipRecruiter is a fine way to supplement any additional recruiting tools, but it's best to use one platform that pushes to ZipRecruiter to ensure you have the broadest reach without having to switch among many recruiting tools.

Avantages

ZipRecruiter expands your recruiting network to access more candidates. It is easy to use, similar in structure to other recruiting tools, and provides an additional set of candidates.

Inconvénients

ZipRecruiter does not have the broadest reach, and often the candidates are not quite relevant in my industry. Its user-base is a bit too broad, so you will receive many candidates applying to jobs that are not experienced with the right background.

Very convenient and helpful hiring tool

We generated a ton of interest in a position we had posted that required a unique skillset. Though we didn't hire from the pool generated from ZipRecruiter (we had an internal candidate emerge from an unexpected place), we did get several potential contacts and names for future positions.

Avantages

Very easy to set up and implement. We used the free trial for a one-time hiring process and we were receiving qualified resumes and interest within a few hours. The platform really is great at exposing the job to potential applicants at a scale we couldn't have replicated internally. The candidates it returned for the most part were qualified for the position we were trying to fill. It does a good job of weeding out some of the qualifications like education, previous experience, etc. In other words, if you had a job where a bachelors degree was required, you wouldn't get applicants who didn't list a bachelors degree in their profile. It was easy to cancel the service once we were done with our trial.

Inconvénients

As with any AI type of platform, the results won't always be perfect. I'd say that 80% of our applicants were actually qualified based on their work experience. This is actually a higher rate than if we did the search ourselves but the volume of apps we received made this aspect a little harder to work through.

ZIP recruiter is a good platform to post jobs

My experience using zip recruiter was very good, the process of hiring was easy and quick the only problem i have to face was to filter out the candidate among those applicants. interview was really good to handle and one of the best thing about using it was very easy to use interface so quite good platform to use in hiring candidate.

Avantages

the advantage of using zip recruiter is we can post jobs and it can provide a lots of results accurately matching the job description. we can take live interview and record the session, it can be used to track the job and advertise the job role. the interface of zip recruiter is very beginner friendly and the hiring process is very good.

Inconvénients

The thing that need to be improved on zip recruiter is it can gives a lot of results accurately matching the job description but we can get the candidates are not real or spam, so this should be filtered out and also the cost of zip recruiter is bit high as i compare to its competitor.

Would definitely recommend ZipRecruiter

I would definitely recommend ZipRecruiter as it helps my business to gain great employees and makes it easy to find prospective ones for when you’re needing to hire. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of hiring, interviewing and finding the perfect candidate.

Avantages

I like that’s it’s not expensive and has many features to be able to use. I like that is really easy to use and navigate. It’s easy to post positions when hiring as well as look as candidate profiles and schedule interviews for those who match. It takes the workload of doing a lot when. Wedding to hire new employees.

Inconvénients

I feel it could use a little more vibrancy and color to catch attention

Rip Off

While it is straight forward and easy to use, there is not a wealth of quality candidates for our industry (Veterinary) out there, as the ZipRecruiter reps will try and make you believe. They give you irrelevant statistics as to how many 'qualified' job seekers they have looking for jobs like ours, and try to convince you to pay even more to really reel those people in. This comes with no real data to back up why it would be worth paying more, and no proof that doing such WOULD reel in better candidates. We have had MUCH better luck on Indeed for very little or no cost to us, while ZipRecruiter feels like a total rip off. We paid a few hundred bucks each month for very few candidates, and even less qualified ones. Not worth it.

Good Idea, Poor Implementation

Avantages

It is pretty simple to set up a job posting and their online platform for reviewing of resumes is acceptable.

Inconvénients

Their screening is useless. They promote that they will screen and send only the best and most qualified candidates, but unfortunately, this is anything but true. Express Example: We were seeking a Registered Patent Attorney in our post and we received about 50 - 75 resumes from paralegals and/or people that said they'd never worked in the industry but would be willing to learn. I wasted hours looking at resumes of people that were not employable--they didn't meet the most basic qualification (even a collage degree), let alone having attended law school, passed a state bar exam and passed the national patent bar exam.

Overall Grade: C-

Easy and Convenient, but not the best jobs or candidates

Overall, positive.

Avantages

This service makes it extremely easy and convenient for candidates to build​ a profile and attach their resume, along with their qualifications and desired roles. It makes it easy for companies to post their openings and review candidates.

Their "mobile apply" makes it very easy for candidates to apply using their saved resume, and for companies to add simple qualifying questions to the mobile apply.

Inconvénients

Generally, I have found that you don't find postings from many top-notch F500 companies, or for those looking to hire mid-senior or experienced professionals.

At least in terms of sales roles, a lot of companies post for commission only roles, or smaller, less reputable companies that most career-oriented sales professionals don't want to apply for.

There are on occasion some very promising opportunities though.
