Amazing Product, but could use some tinkering. Always improving and easy to use.
Great. Love how easy it is to use and that you can get to the same place several different ways. The customer service is A+, best of any software company or really and service provider we use. Our clients also seem to really love the portal and the ease of making payments. Add Item options should be colored again for ease of use.Quickbooks has some issues syncing and causes odd results.Really needs to add a date filter in the "Create a New Invoice" page for when I am billing the prior month. Filtering by "uninvoiced balance" is insufficient because it captures charges for current month, which is not the month I am billing for.
Avantages
Easy to use. Love how the clients can pay online. I love how the case and client screens are integrated.

I absolutely hate that I cannot have my legal staff assist with the billing functions without also having them see the financial condition of the firm. I have lost an employee to them seeing how much the firm brought in and them believing we did not pay them enough. They then shared this information with other staff. I have considered leaving MyCase because of this I hate it so much. I need my staff to be able to send out payment requests for a retainer or a consultation or I need them to be able to answer a client's question about how much they still owe without the firm having to disclose how much we make each month or each year. It is honestly outrageous that this has not been resolved yet.My second largest complaint is that there is not easy way to download a remove (i.e. export) a client's contact, case info, communication and documents in an easy way. We are obligated to keep our client's file for a particular duration of time and best practice is that this information be kept in two locations, in other words, it must be backed up. The reminders pop-up is also very frustrating that I cannot control the default "ignore" time. It is set at 10 minutes and that is that.

I love My Case. They listen to our suggestions and implement them.
Avantages
I have tried other products, which are very good for the attorney, but the clients found too difficult to use. When I started using My Case, my clients and my staff jumped on board immediately. We haven't looked back.
Inconvénients
I believe there should be different pricing for different users; attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, should be priced differently, depending on the hierarchy. When I started with My Case, back in 2016, you had different pricing, and it was more affordable. Since then, the monthly fee has doubled.

How MyCase simplifies our firm
Our organization and effective time use has been exponentially upgraded.
Avantages
Document Management, Client Intake Forms, Billing and invoicing, Financial Accounting, and LawPay Payments have been the biggest benefit. It isnt released yet, but after agreeing to meet with the MyCase team to discuss our firm's expense management needs, the product they have in the works looks awesome and we can't wait to add that to our toolbox as well.
Inconvénients
I would like to see the option to add our LawPay QR code to our invoices, and be able to attach expense receipts for our clients to access directly to invoices as well.

Most useful product I've found!
I would recommend to mycase to anyone who has a high volume of clients. Mycase helps the user keep track of every person. It puts your mind at ease.
Avantages
I like that My Case is very organized and easy to understand. When a new person comes in the office it is easy to explain the layout.
Inconvénients
Only have found two con's. One is the price of the product. Second is the program will not hold certain large files.

Mycase review
It has helped my law practice run more smoothly. I am more organized. My clients use the document and communication features. They find it is easy.
Avantages
It is easy to use, and affordable. I love the mobile app it is easy to use when scheduling court dates when in person for court.
Inconvénients
MyCase defaults the calendar to Hawaii's time for Apple and Mac users. My clients who has Apple products say that the calendar shows the wrong time for events. They have to go into the system and default the calendar to Eastern standard time.

I love how much it's changed over the years. There are at least 2 new features that i wrote to the developers as a suggestion. MyCase changes with the market and changes to meet users needs. My entire practice revolves around this program

Why I like MyCase
Avantages
I love the structure and layout. Everything is pretty easy to find and I see overall construction of the platform as intuitive. There are likely more sophisticated users than myself, but the ability to create cases, clients, transfer clients from leads, manage documents and billing, have been great for me.
Inconvénients
I do have some frustration with having to download .docx or .xlsx files. If something could be changed to allow the user to view these files without requiring download would be excellent.

Daily User of MyCase! Love it!
We love MyCase and all of the tools and resource that it has brought to our firm. Overall, We love it!
Avantages
The product is very easy to use once you get the hang of it. Very easy to teach to other employees and implement into daily use.
Inconvénients
There are some features that could be added. I have not witnessed any updates in the time that we have been using MyCase. It would be nice if they did regular updates and provided "new" tools to utilize with each update. However, the interface remains the same so you're not having to relearn how to use all of the time.

My Experience
This law firm is the second law firm that I have worked for where they have used MyCase. The first law firm did not use the client portal. The office was able to make the client's info page long with details of any activity about each client including grievances. The current law firm includes the client's mycase experience which lessens the long telephone calls.
Avantages
I like that it is very organized and easy to train new staff members on how to use MyCase. I like the alerts for the calendar entries where a deadline will not "fall off". I like that we can communicate solely with clients through MyCase which will lessen phone calls.
Inconvénients
In "new case", I would like to open a new case and add a client that is already entered in mycase as a contact. But when I enter the person, MyCase will not accept their email because it already has it on file.

Easy to use, but could use improvement
Good overall, east to use, flexible, forgiving. But the desktop drive leaves a lot to be desired.
Avantages
Ease of use. MyCase is definitely user-focused. It was easy to learn to use when i first started with the firm - with minimal training i was able to learn and adapt on my own with relative ease. It also seems very forgiving - if you make a mistake, it is easy to fix with minimal steps.
Inconvénients
MyCase Drive and document storage - clunky. We transitioned from another platform, files didn't move over in the migration process didn't work on MyCase end and the customer service team was unapologetic for failure of their platform. We weren't warned that the files weren't transferring, they simply didn't. There also seems to be persistent syncing issues between the desktop and online system.

My experience with MyCase has been very positive with only one exception: at one point, a client disputed the fee and requested a refund AFTER the payment had been taken through the MyCase payment system. I didn't have the chance to give my input when I was cancelled from the payment program and not allowed back on. I would love to be able to use MyCase client payments but I have not been allowed back on.
Avantages
I like the easy-to-use formats and its adaptability to all devices.

There is nothing I don't like about MyCase.

From the first email I sent inquiring about their program until today, I can't say enough about the ease of working with the MyCase team. Their customer support is timely, courteous, and most of patient with people who may not be as technical. They offered tutorials to begin the transition and are there every step of the process.

MyCase covers all the bases
We use MyCase for every aspect of running our law firm except for electronic communications (we use an email app) and document storage (we use a Cloud-based app). It has been immensely helpful to the organization and efficiency of our firm to merge our client management, case management, time/expense tracking, billing and invoicing into one application.
Avantages
The MyCase features I appreciate most are: time and expense tracking; case deadline calendaring (especially the Workflow feature), and billing/invoicing. I really like the timer, which I use to track how much time I spend working on a case/matter. I also like to e-signature function, which I use when I need a client to sign a document.
Inconvénients
The thing I like lease about MyCase is that I have often have to click through multiple screens to get where I want to go. For example, if I want to find my time entries for a particular case/matter, I have to search for that case in the search bar, select the case from the drop down menu of search results, then click on the "time and billing" tab within that case, then click on the "time entries" tab.

Best Case Management Software around
This software makes communication with my clients so easy.
Avantages
I have used Amicus, Smokeball, Justware, and Cleo. Hands down this is my favorite software to run my business.
Inconvénients
I would like the ability to enter bulk notes. I often have 5+ cases that need the same notation and it's time-consuming to have to enter each case.

Some times the reports are not as intuitive as I would like but I can usually modify them so they get me the information that I would like. I would like to be able to have a clear report that show profitability for each practice area.

My overall experience With My Case is excellent. It is very easy to learn. Things are where they need to be saving lots of time and energy.

I like the fact that you no longer need to go around looking for files, they are right at your fingertips. Documents no longer get lost as they are scanned into a file upon receipt for everyone in the office to view.

I honestly cannot think of anything I don't like about My Case.

I am satisfied, my experience was amazing with MyCase. The price is competitive, while it is easy to use, easy to access and very accessible, intuitive, customizable and flexible when you do something on it. Electronic invoicing saves time and allows secure storage of history.

A great solution to control your pipeline of Customers, cases and payments
It has greatly improve our case management, and collections. But still can be improved. More information on the financial side, more flexibility to design reports, etc.
Avantages
We found extremely useful the feature of Digital signature. We have been able to use it for immigration forms and Retainers, for out of state clients, who can now sign no matter where they are. Also, generating monthly statements with payment and outstanding balances that our customers can see whenever they want, and send automatic payment reminders has been very helpful to improve collections.
Inconvénients
I have submitted several times the suggestion of improving the financial information to include some sort of "monthly" cash flow for all the customers. This is not possible with the current reports.

The Case for MyCase
Less time is spent on billing and invoicing; what previously took almost a full day now only takes a few minutes to accomplish freeing up time for other work and projects.
Avantages
MyCase is user-friendly, case/client information is easily accessed in one place and invoicing is much easier and less time-consuming than our previous case management program. The ability to link emails directly to a client's matter is a bonus plus the ability to have access through the App while out of the office is quite convenient.
Inconvénients
It would be nice to be able to have deposit slips, void checks rather than having to delete them and have the ability to update notes/descriptions on checks.

My Case was incredibly easy to set up and use. I self taught myself how to use it with occasional questions to the help / customer service. Excellent help in customer service. It pretty much handles all the needs of our law firm.
Inconvénients
I believe there should be a spot to create an alert note. A pop up that comes up anytime you call up a case. A place that could hold important to know information before doing particular things on that case etcI had that feather on legal software for the state I worked for and it was used all the time.

overall, no regrets. i moved over from CLIO after being with them for over 10yrs. there is no going back.
Avantages
i truly enjoy the functionality and the integration of other things like text, email, lawpay, smith.ai, etc. i enjoy that there is no extra fee for that and i hope they keep it that way.
Inconvénients
i don't like that when i close a case, the tasks associated with those cases are also "closed." in immigration practice, tasks help to continue servicing a client from green card to citizenship to sponsoring other family members. having a task associated one, two or even three years later truly helps. the work around is to unlink the account from the task, but that is not very practical. that is the true thing i miss from CLIO.

Avantages
Case management and time tracking are easily the best components. Most management tools have this, but the ability to receive documents from the client and communicate with the client via the portal is a game changer.
Inconvénients
I wish there was more robust reporting for billing and showing overdue balances and monthly billing, broken down by clients/cases.

My experience with mycase has been very positive as I needed one place that I could go to and immediately see what my next step on the case was going to be. Because it's all right in front of you, it makes my life easier.
Avantages
Nearly all. I like the case management, the document management, the client control, the ease of time tracking and billing.
Inconvénients
I really don't have anything to say at this point about the least thing that I like. I really like all features that I'm using and will be exploring the implementation of other features that I'm not using like syncing my email account to mycase.

My horrific experience with MyCase
The benefit we had working with MyCase is that is honed our customer service abilities as we were regularly confronted with astounding MyCase failures which we used as lessons for our staff to make sure that we never came off acting like MyCase.
Avantages
Terminating the Agreement. Although it was as entertaining as a trip to the dentist, it was the one glimmer of sunshine in an otherwise dreary software experience.
Inconvénients
We spent months with their support staff trying to implement MyCase. Failure after failure, it finally came became clear that they were unable to service our firm and that it was time to terminate the agreement and they continued to charge us monthly. It turned out that somewhere in the fine print it stated that you had to terminate via their online software. The problem we ran into was that even after months of banging our heads against the wall, we still didn't have access to the online software. We pointed this out to their support staff and they didn't care. We ended up paying over $10,000 and never used the software for a day. We ended up going with Clio. Maybe it was just in comparison to the agony of working with MyCase but we found our transition to Clio to be a dream.

The case management and the status update section and the calendar, the billing reports, and the ability to create invoices.
Inconvénients
You recently changed the time clock's appearance and some functions. I don't like the changes. It was easier to use before and I have stopped using the time feature since.

Overall I believe that MyCase is ergonomically correct when it comes to Case management software. As they are actively looking to improve it, my hope is that it just becomes an even better product.

I like that MyCase Is easy to use and has tons of tools to make working more efficient.
Inconvénients
The least thing I like about MyCase is the reports tab. Although it is very useful, and we use it all the time, it could help to be be able to refine things a lot more for extracting certain cases.

The bills can be confusing to client as there is not a section to inform the client what will remain in trust after the transfer is completed. It has resulted in clients not understanding their bill or paying their balance while they have funds in trust.

I've been utilizing MyCase for a decade now and it has become an indispensable tool for me in performing my job efficiently.
Avantages
I really appreciate the feature in MyCase that allows me to create custom fields for both my case and contact information. It's also really helpful to be able to customize templates for creating documents.
Inconvénients
Is it possible to create separate fields for calendars and tasks? The pricing has gone up quite rapidly, but it still remains a good value.

Definitely will continue to use. Time tracking and billing alone are well worth it.

Needs a QR code for payment link. Document upload areas are a bit slow. Same for e-mail; I like the idea of tracking time spent on e-mails but the interface is too slow.

MyCase is easy to use. It allows you to streamline everything. It allows you to upload large documents and share with parties.
Inconvénients
Overall I like everything. MyCase is always coming out with something new to improve. I wish that we could save file folders into MyCase rather than just individual documents.
