Clio est une solution cloud de gestion de cabinet juridique adaptée aux cabinets d'avocats de petite à grande envergure. La plateforme permet aux cabinets d'avocats et autres entreprises du secteur juridique de suivre des délais importants, de gérer les cas et documents de leurs clients, de les facturer et d'accepter les paiements. Game Changer for Our Practice

Transitioning to Clio has been a game-changer for our practice. With working out of office frequently their cloud based platform allows me to access everything I need from anywhere, which is incredibly convenient. Customer support was top notch when we called in, short wait and easy resolution. While I did experience a slight learning curve initially, the benefits far outweigh any minor hiccups. Overall and after trying out other platforms, we're going with Clio there's just no comparison!

Avantages

I was really impressed with how Clio simplifies everything. I was searching for a replacement for my previous legal management software and came accross Clio and thought we'd give it a try. It's truly a breath of fresh air compared to what we're used to. The ability to automate client intake and manage cases has made our work much more efficient. Also the integrations with other tools we already use made it so it wasn't like starting from scratch.

Inconvénients

The mobile app seems to have limitations compared to the desktop version, which can be frustrating when traveling and accessing information on the go. I called into support and they were able to help me with what I needed though away from main workstation, and hear that the app is being improved currently.

We Love Clio's Versatility

For our dozen or so users, we work seamlessly and can find the right case detail whenever needed. Clio Support has always helped to find a solution.

Avantages

Clio gives us flexibility to handle various case types while maintaining consistent practices throughout the firm. Clio has a high degree of customization, and we use several integrations to achieve our client goals. We now use Clio Duo to track down missing details and information. We also have scheduled weekly reports automatically pop into our inbox.

Inconvénients

I would love to see an internal tool to track automatically all client related work in Clio and other apps. We now use an integrated app for that, but it has some limitations.

Clio database organization

Clio is a good overall software that is useful in maintaining a detailed and organized database, however, its limitation in functionalities is not adequate for our field.

Worlds better than other CRMS and still improving

Clio is a great information hub, but getting the information sorted and in the right place can be tedious. The busier the firm, the greater the need is to have an outlined guide or manual from day one.

Avantages

Clio is a fantastic information-gathering tool and is close to being a one-stop-shop for everything we need pertaining to our clients. the upcoming rollout of a new communications tab should help to sort this information further.

Inconvénients

Client intake is a tedious process. Something as simple as being about to mark clients as spouses/life partners and copying over address and other basic information would go a long way to help speed things up. as of now, we make three contacts for every matter (the married couple as well as each spouse).

Connecting All the Dots

Overall, I love Clio. I love the integrations that are continuously added!!

Avantages

It connects in such a myriad of ways that I can find connections I did not even realize existed between clients and people on other cases. When you're in a small community, that is very helpful!!

Inconvénients

Adding time to a calendar event or anything should be part of the initial pop-up, like it used to be.

I would like to be able to email things to the maildrop address from anyone within my domain.

And I would like to be able to e-file from my Clio profile EVEN IF my service email address is NOT my profile email address.

So, so much more than a case management system. Give them your money, already.

Clio offered me guidance when I first set up my firm, and they continue to offer support and innovation as my practice becomes larger. Their blog offers constructive suggestions. I couldn't be happier.

Avantages

This platform is extremely easy to learn and to use--I mean, none of us went to law school to work as IT experts, right?! Clio is constantly innovating and the company is open to suggestions from users. The customer service is second to none with fast, fast, fast! responses. They are also extremely communicative about any issues that may offer challenges to their customers.

Inconvénients

I wish some aspects of the invoicing system were more flexible.

Clio makes for a better working experience

Clio as a platform is very organized and constantly evolving to suit a law firms needs. If there is ever an issue, Clio's employees are very attentive and help remedy the situation

Inconvénients

I am not the biggest fan of the new internal messages screen. It is all lumped together with the portal and texts as well.

Great but could use improvement

the portal is a great tool but I feel it still needs some updates to make it more user-friendly. It would be a great benefit for it to tell you who downloaded docs and if you click on a doc you should be able to go back to the thread.

Great case/client/firm management program

Inconvénients

The only thing is tat if you are entering a calendar event and don't pay attention to the time, it defaults to the time you are present in. But it just means you need to pay attention to what you are doing.

Clio is a key part of our firm and helps us achieve more! Highly recommended.

I know that by using Clio, they will constantly be improving and that I will always get the customer service when I need it. Relying on Clio for over 13 years, I feel my files are organized, my communications are streamlined, and I know I'm giving better service to my clients because of Clio.

Avantages

Clio is a great foundation for our firm. I am a long time Clio user, over 13 years now. I have seen it grow and improve. Some things have stayed the same - excellent customer service, minimal to no downtime. It replaces at least one full time employee with the automated reminders, calendaring, etc. Not only do I organize my digital client files in Clio, I track all my payments and trust accounting, I am able to have team member accountability through task tracking, we have regular and effective communication with the clients through the Clio Client portal. When I'm using Clio, it helps me be a better lawyer, it helps me focus more on my clients, and keep my clients happy through great communication.

Inconvénients

While it has all the basic features in a package to choose from, there are parts you have to pay to add on. Clio Grow for intaking new clients, meshes great with Clio Manage but it does have an extra cost. The document template feature that is built in is okay, and the add-on Clio Draft is supposed to be a lot better but it's at additional cost and a bit difficult for me to intuitively figure out. It's costly to have Clio, but it does save having an extra employee and saves from missing a deadline and having client's complain due to lack of communication, so to me it's worth the cost.

We've been a User since 2010 and Clio has evolved throughout the years to meet our needs with the age of modern technology especially and advances out on the market. This allows us to meet our Client's expectations and bill them accordingly. Using the templates and workflows allows you to be more efficient with your day to day.

Extremely user friendly. You can tailor the platform to meet your firms particular needs regarding your area of practice.

Duplicate Contacts when logging emails. I believe that is being fixed.

Do yourself a favor: sign up with Clio! You will not regret it.

We are never going back to other platforms. Other "attorney centric" solutions for document management, client relationship management, timekeeping and billing are LESS intuitive and MORE expensive.

Clio is intuitive and provides excellent document management, client relationship management, timekeeping and billing all in one platform for a reasonable price with no long term commitments.

Inconvénients

On occasion Clio will have glitches - connectivity issues. When that happens, we're at a standstill. Fortunately, it doesn't occur often, and when it does it is short lived.

Great Product!

I have used CLIO at two other firms and brought it on to Story Law. Was the best decision we ever made. Saves us administrative time which in turn promotes productivity and profit.

Avantages

We love that we have all data, participants, documents, contacts, email/communication journaling, calendaring all in one place. The mobile app is great for on the go use and tracking time when you are away from the office. The client portal is a great tool for tracking what the client has provided and what is still needed. The time Clio saves us in administrative work has been invaluable.

Inconvénients

Mapping with Quick Books does not match up the best. Some of the integrations are still work in progress. No integration with MyPleadings.

Clio Is the Most Useful Database We have Used

Overall Clio was a vast improvement to our previous programs (Tabs 3 and Abacus). The change in customer service however has dampened my enthusiasm..

Difficult to customize. Customer Service has gone from knowledgeable Canadian staff to foreign people not familiar with the program. You are often on your own to try to resolve questions - or make multiple queries.

Easy Peasy

We really have benefitted from our switch to Clio: we are able to track files better, share calendars better, and invoices don't get forgotten anymore.

Avantages

We love the invoicing the most - we are sure we have re-captured getting paid for many files we used to not be able to track and get paid for. Now we can send an invoice online and get paid online too. Making a bill is quick and easy, and our staff even thinks fun!

Inconvénients

We were considering moving our document storage to Clio, but we couldn't preset files with our folder organization system and it seemed more difficult to attach files to emails, so we didn't end up doing this. Also, when sending an email from Clio, I would prefer that it auto-saves it to the Clio file.

Amicus was "clunky" - it was not cloud based, didn't connect with our cell phones (so we couldn't see our calendar), and document management and billing was not easy.

Couldn't Live Without Clio Manage and Clio Grow

Excellent. I highly recommend Clio and it is worth the cost. I also appreciate the ongoing CLE opportunities, some of which are free.

Avantages

Clio helped me hit the ground running when I opened my solo practice. Nearly every feature is user intuitive, and I have already been delighted to see Clio continue to upgrade its services in the two years I have used them. I couldn't survive (i.e. stay organized) without all of its features, billing, document e-signature service, and access to its partner, Proof for service of process.

Inconvénients

Initially I was disappointed that Clio Grow and Clio Manage didn't "talk" to one another. I love Clio Grow to keep track of leads and potential clients, and I like the ability to transfer a file over to Clio Manage. I didn't like that they weren't truly in sync. However, Clio has worked to solve that pet peeve and is continuing to make improvements.

Great Product and even better customer support

Overall, Clio has been great. Customer support has been amazing and quick to respond and provide assistance in resolutions.

Avantages

Clio has been great to track billable time and expenses, and sharing documents (including LARGE attachments like videos.). Calendaring is great as you can link the event to a matter and invite users, including clients and other parties. Setting reminders is also great to help you take on task and meet your deadlines. Customer support is very responsive, and helpful. Clio Grow has also been great to use, wish the editing of the documents and forms was more user friendly--it has already gotten better since we started using Clio (there is now the ability to add a table!)

Inconvénients

There have been bugs that have taken some time to correct. Timer issues (starting and stopping, you need to really pay attention that it is properly recorded this); additionally, the Clio calendar becomes un-synced with out Outlook calendar(s) and that is a huge issue (currently) as we have to double record.

Over five years with Clio and extremely satisfied

Overall, I have been extremely pleased with my experience using Clio.

Avantages

Clio is intuitive and greatly assists me in managing my firm. The dashboard is organized in such a way that I can easily track overall firm finances and open matters. Additionally, the ability to create tasks and sync Clio with my firm's Microsoft account expands the functionality of the product.

Inconvénients

I really do not have any complaints about Clio. When I attempted to use Clio Grow, I simply did not have the time to create the templates that are designed to make the product more valuable to client intake.
