Hard to Use program
My experience was terrible and I felt I was left on my own to try to figure out this complicated system.
Avantages
Simply stated, there is really nothing about the product I liked.
Inconvénients
The billing does not always show what is in the trust account and when I asked a person to assist on the phone she claimed she was too busy to assist with all my questions so I felt I was on my own to figure it out.

Easy implementation, simple, customizable interface, easy to add clients
Inconvénients
Billing and invoicing is clunky and time consuming. Invoicing through docketwise is really the gold standard, but I don't use DW anymore. I also hate LawPay, and I recently left them for Gravity. I would LOOOVE a gravity integration.

Great solution for small firms
I have been very satisfied with MyCase and have recommended to other attorneys.
Avantages
MyCase is very easy to use for billing and practice management, including case management and document organization and storage. It is very simple to use. It is one-stop shopping that accomplishes with one tool which often takes more than one. I especially like the feature that allows me to text and invoice a client.
Inconvénients
The cost keeps creeping up. At some point, as great as the product is, the cost could make it prohibitive.

Overall my experience with MyCase has brought absolute relief to the client management, document management and billing process. I have done my best to get other attorneys to use MyCase and will continue to highly recommend MyCase. The cost/benefit ratio is excellent.
Avantages
MyCase is so user friendly for client management and document transfer. It is incredibly user friendly for time entries, billing and uploading documents. It is also intuitive for finding contacts and documents. Additionally, the key word search capabilities are wonderfully easy and intuitive.

Very functional and helpful, but there is a learning curve for some clients.
Overall, our experience has been positive and we found it to be pretty much "plug and play". There are features we are still working on implementing and/or upgrading our existing infrastructure to be able to use more efficiently but we are very happy with MyCase.
Avantages
We love the ease of time tracking, the mobile app and organization features.
Inconvénients
We have had client complaints that the client-side is confusing when they are looking for documents that have been shared or upcoming events. It would also be more efficient if we could share entire file folders rather than individual documents. Finally, a notification or icon when a new note has been posted to a case would make that function more useful.

I would like mycase more if there was better financial reporting.
Avantages
It is easy to use. Timekeeping is easy. Client communication is easy to track.
Inconvénients
The financial reports are insufficient. The balance forward feature makes it impossible to meaningfully track a/r. It is impossible to track associate profitability.
Another pet peeve is the unread document feature. I would like to be able to mark documents read from there.

We received a lot of help from MyCase personnel in the early phases of our use. We have not needed their people to continue to operate the program.

My Preference for MyCase
MyCase is vital to keeping everything in my law firm in one place. Whenever there's an issue, the MyCase Support team responds quickly - within the next business day, which is great.
Avantages
Sharing documents via client portal, messaging and communicating with clients, invoices and billing electronically via easy-to-use interface, workflows, integration with Woodpecker for document templates and automation.
Inconvénients
May have tooo many avenues for communicating - comments within documents, messaging, texts, emails integrated into MyCase - have had instances where I had to recall where a client posted a comment about a draft.

My favorite features in MyCase are the case management, client management, document management, templates and automation.
Inconvénients
I don't like that the invoices aren't more customizable and that the billing and invoicing aren't compatible with contingency firms. I also with MyCase would integrate with a VOIP phone system like Ring Central so we can automate some of our calling procedures.

MyCase - Approaching Perfection with One Major (personal) Issue
Very positive. While I am transitioning away from MyCase due to the file size cap, I would enthusiastically endorse the program for anyone looking for a fully featured program that has really embraced integrations with other legal-related service providers that expands the features (like Woodpecker for document automation, Case Status for communication, among others).
Avantages
MyCase is fully featured, approachable, and easy to get right to work - especially if you are starting fresh and don't need to transfer files/matters over. I did transfer with (relatively) ease from Smokeball. I like that the application makes quick access to information easy (typically, its the calendar, but can be case details like confirming the courtroom number, quick access to client's contact information, etc.) I thought the layout was largely very intuitive and clean.
Inconvénients
The biggest issue is the file size limitation that can be uploaded to a file (capped at 1GB).Another issue that I ran into was that if I logged into MyCase on another tab or browser, I would be logged out of the first tab/browser (meaning I couldn't have two open at the same time), which was frustrating when it came to doing some data entry.

MyCase is a great CRM, but has poor ethics
Very poor experience. MyCase does not have ethics to be honest in their dealings with their customers. That is why we left them and went to Clio. We have had no problems with Clio and have even started working with their product team on upcoming code changes to enhance Clio's functions.
Avantages
MyCase was a great application. It is very user friendly. The invoices allow clients to easily see what their payment plan is, how many payments there are, and what the upcoming payments are.
Inconvénients
My issue with MyCase is the Account Management. We left MyCase for Clio because the account manager lied. Our firm was divided and from one account, we created three. The account manager told us the price per account would be a certain amount. We agreed. The work was done to divide the cases and move the documents. Then she came back and said we couldn't have the price agreed on and it would be a different amount. We had proof of the amount and conversation. She admitted she lied, but said her manager wouldn't let us have that amount. With proof of the lie, they did not care. The ethics of MyCase caused us to leave them and go to Clio.

Easy to Use
Avantages
Simply put, MyCase is intuitive, and very easy to use. We use the time tracking, calendar, and billing functions daily. If my (not so tech savvy) office can use it effectively, anyone can. I also like the text and messaging features, which frees up my email inbox.
Inconvénients
The only issue I've had so far is the lack of formatting options within the email function. The email function is the only thing I don't use to its fullest extent, because of the formatting issues.

Over the years I don't have any major complaints. Just wish I didn't have to listen to videos to figure answers to some questions when time is of the essence.

Love the calendar reminders to client, intake forms and easy payment options available.
Inconvénients
You have to hunt for the topics when you need supportive assistance. Integrations are not seamless re LawPay or Desktop MyCase. Previously attempts to install don't seem to "stick" therefore unable to fully edit documents in MyCase.

Overall, very positive. The calendar feature is essential in the business and it integrates well with other programs. The support staff has been very responsive to suggestions to make the product more user friendly.
Avantages
The client portal make interacting with clients very easy and secure. Calendar works with our other programs automatically putting hearings and meetings in a appropriate times. We rely on it daily.
Inconvénients
Repetitive data entry when working within a case makes the product somewhat tedious to use. When edits are made to the calendar, the client is notified even when it is simply removing a duplicate entry. Can be very confusing to clients.

Best Practice Management Software on the Market!
Overall, this is the best legal practice management software you can buy. I have tried Clio, Amicus, and Rocket Matter. This software is by far the best. It has features that I love, outstanding customer service, and is somewhat reasonably priced. I use it daily and my firm could not function without this product. I love the integration with Docketwise, even though I wish it were all one program, and I love the time tracking and client management options. Also, it is user friendly and mostly customizable, which is great for a firm like mine that handles multiple practice areas. I always recommend MyCase!
Avantages
Better than Clio, Amicus, and Rocket Matter! You cannot find a more versatile product. The ease of use and all the different features and functionalities. I am able to do everything I need on almost every case with one program. It saves me time and money in every case. MyCase has outstanding customer support as well. They listen to feedback and implement changes based on what client's want and need!
Inconvénients
Would like to see several improvements. I love the time tracking feature and being able to set up case rates, but I wish I could set up multiple case rate profiles for quick and easy selection. For instance an appointed rate, retained rate, and modifiable case rate would be amazing. It would be great to enter bulk time entries for multiple dates on a single client in addition to the current options. I would like to be able to send clients case reminders and other case information without having to put in an email for portal access. I would like clients to be able to use their phone number as a portal access option, and to schedule text message reminders even when clients don't have an email. It is surprising the number of immigration and criminal defense clients that do not have or use their emails, and thus, cannot get automated case reminders. Finally, I do not love the MyCase Documents feature for creating templates, and I really don't want to pay for an integration like Woodpecker to make document automation easier. I would love to see that feature updated and become more user friendly. I will say the only software I tried that allowed for easier document drafting and automation was Amicus. I hated everything else about Amicus though, including the price, and switched to MyCase without looking back.

Good value, dependable software
Other than the issues with email, our experience with MyCase has been a positive one. It's easy to onboard new team members and teach them the program. The price increase has been a drawback, but we've made it work. Tech support is responsive and I feel suggestions we make are not ignored.
Avantages
Being able to access my cases remotely is critical, so I can work anywhere I have internet access. I also like that all team members on a case can see progress, status, and changes. Text messaging is also a big plus because it's the easiest was for clients to contact the firm and keep costs manageable.
Inconvénients
The outlook/mycase email interface is clunky and not very user friendly. The legacy inbox has made it worse as we now have to look in two places to find emails, so staff has been instructed to not use the new feature from within outlook. Maybe this is already possible and we just haven't explored it yet, but not linking the email chains would also be really helpful.

Overall, it’s a good product and very reasonably priced. I didn’t like (or couldn’t figure out) document automation, and since that is critical to me, I ultimately went in a different direction.

A Fantastic law practice management software
I wish I had MyCase years ago. I am a solo practitioner (lawyer, secretary and chief bottle washer). This app is fantastic!
Avantages
I absolutely love the Mycase app. When I create a file in MyCase the app then auto-creates a file folder on my computer saving a bunch of time. Uploading and downloading documents is a breeze. I love the time recording and time entry features. I am amazed at how much billable time I am capturing using this app. I was missing so much time in the past, I can hardly believe it.
Inconvénients
I'm still studying the app and deciding what cons I need to talk about. There aren't many, if any at all.

It's Like Dieting - Takes Time to Figure Out What Works
The timer system is super easy to use. I love the portal access for my clients. I love that it paired with LawPay so seamlessly. I am a one person show. My Case makes it easier to do all the things legal and clerical.

I would LOVE it if I could make phone calls from the Contact page. I really don't like that unpaid balances from one invoice doesn't carry forward to the next month's invooices.

10/10 wouldn't trade MyCase for anything.
Avantages
The ease of it all. MyCase has allowed us to improve our client communications, especially time managing cases and client contact.
Inconvénients
They changed the way you text and it has been complicated since then (have not been able to use text messages).

I've loved MyCase since 2016
I would never use any other office management system. I have found MyCase to meet all of my needs in a way that allows new employees to get up to speed quickly. The improvements continually being made to the functionality of MyCase only makes working in it easier and more efficient.
Avantages
Before starting my law firm I had been using several different office management programs. None of them was as easy to learn and use as MyCase. The ability to incorporate the cases that I had prior to starting my firm was seamless. The clients love the access it gives them to their file and for communication.
Inconvénients
Some of the integration apps take some work before they are fully connected, but it's not a huge problem.

Constant updates & great customer service
Very impressive system. There are features that could use improvements, but they are constantly updating and building the system out. Easy to use and straightforward.

the customer service is SO responsive-second to none.

Avantages
Everything with MyCase is very user friendly. It allows us to have all of our office functions in one place and integrates very well with several of the apps that we use. The capability to bill electronically is very nice, and clients love the portal function.
Inconvénients
So far, no complaints from our office about MyCase.

User friendly, you can see a lot of information on the dashboard tab.

We experience a lot of issues with emailing from MyCase and issues when trying to link an email from Microsoft outlook.

An essential tool for law office and case management
Outstanding. My working day is spent using MyCase all day long.
Avantages
MyCase is easy to use for the most part. For the basics in case management, it is intuitive. It is easy to learn additional functions. If you are not sure about a function or that it even exists, getting technical support is easy and usually immediately responsive and helpful. Making comments on a calendared event is an excellent and useful function. The ability to make personalized notes on an invoice is very helpful. When creating an invoice, crediting funds held in escrow is easy. Tracking possible clients in leads and making preliminary notes is a great feature that is complimented with the global search function. The ability to remind, me, my staff and event clients is terrific.
Inconvénients
The mobile app could have more of the functions as the desk top version. Resetting a matter and tracking the history of events of a particular case could be improved. Verifying any type of payment for a client or matter is difficult to find. A function of invoicing could be improved in regard to selecting items to be billed and reserving others; example: if I want to invoice for expenses but not fees at a given time creating an invoice is difficult.
