We primarily operate on the Microsoft suite so this takes away a lot of the troubles of using an external product. With all our users educated well on saving things on OneDrive/Sharepoint, this makes it very easy to do so and place them in shared folders for them to be accessed by other individuals. We are currently in a process of mapping out internal processes to be shared with new partners that have entered our business and this makes it effortless for our users, coupled with the fact it integrates with the rest of the Microsoft suite easily.

Inconvénients

I think for users that have never used visio before, there is a bit of complexity to product high quality diagrams.

Visio allows me to copy data into the chart and move/adjust the various blocks to where they align properly. It also allows for detailed alignment down to the fractional L/W/H for exact hierarchical flow.

The auto realignment when attaching an employee to a manager sometimes moves the flowchart in ways I have to adjust.

The icons were really great! They were split into clear and easy to understand categories. The ability to remove and add the visibility of the categories, made it a lot easier to stay focused on what I'm trying to do.

It was pretty laggy and slow, I think it may be because it's an older application, but much like Sway there were times it was being difficult.

It is straightforward to get into and get started, the options to add additional object types and connect items is amazing. It makes beautiful diagrams and flow charts, and helps visualize operations.

It has excellent flow chart-creating capabilities. It's also quite smart and saves you time by automatically fixing the location of arrows in many instances. It's much easier to move things around in Visio without wrecking everything else, too. It's also industry standard and if you work with clients it's a great tool to have.

Visio makes it very easy to build flowcharts. It is as easy as drag and drop. Also there are different shapes that can be used to define different functions. And it is very easy to align all these shapes to build a perfect flowchart.

As an optical engineer Visio is easy to create simple diagrams for system layouts and flowcharts.
