Visio is fantastic for making and amending flows, and being able to save them as pdf. the app is easy to use and configurable. It's a really good tool to use if you want to work on charts, diagrams and flows, and have the ability to export them as pdfs for example, for easy sharing

Inconvénients

Modifying shapes is sometimes inconsistent and making connections between steps can be slow

What I like most about Visio is how easy it makes creating professional diagrams and flowcharts.

What I like least about Visio is that it can feel expensive, especially for occasional use. Also, some features can be a bit tricky to learn without prior experience.

Easiest program to visualize schematics that would be too complicated for CAD to use. We use it mainly for flowchart schematics create process flows.

Inconvénients

Sometimes the tool become cumbersome, the lines dont flow "smartly" around others and requires extra mouse clicks to get it looking the way you want. I wish there was a button that formatted the visual to your liking with equally spaced lines etc.

I use Visio to draw workflows and Network Diagrams since I was an IT intern 15 years ago and for me there is no competitors so far, the toll is great, simple to use and make the flowcharts and diagrams look so professional.

No complains so far, I just like the tool and how easy is to use it to create my Company diagrams and processes flowcharts.

I like the straightforward design. There are not many useless bells and whistles. It does what I need when I need it.

This app is very useful for the engineer who is working in technology. This app help to create design, diagram, and traffic flow, etc.,. Most of the vendor like Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet and others also support the stencils for visio. This is the best app ever for the network engineer.

With Visio I'm able to import icons from many vendors and improve the quality of my network diagrams, I think that stencil are one of the thing that is valuable about Visio you can share it with the community to build in base of your solution or Idea.

Create objects like lines is painful, I would request a way to get straight lines without compromise your actual draw, when you move a straight line you move completely the join point.

- I have used Visio for a while now. I use it when am doing SAP Blueprints for client implementation projects to make the flow chart diagrams of how each business process will be in SAP. After the blueprint documentation, while at the blueprint workshops, it is so easy to explain the blueprint when it has the flow chart diagrams that I have done with Visio. Visio basically makes my work so much easier.- It is also a pretty easy to use tool. I remember that I did not need that much training when I first started using Visio. I think just needed some few pretty short youtube videos to show me around and in no time, I was good to go. - I also think that Visio, being a Microsoft product it comes with alot of credibility and stability, so I have not had any major issue with the application. It just does the job and gives me what I need. - The other thing I like about Visio that I should probably mention is how seamlessly it works with Microsoft word. So some times am able to make edits to Visio diagrams straight from Microsoft word. I find that pretty convenient.

Inconvénients

- Visio is not included int he standard Microsoft office suite/365. It has to be purchased separately - something that might not be affordable to many.- There is also a bit of a learning curve involved if you want to do some pretty advanced stuff with Visio.

Visio is nice in that it is part of the Office suite and thus conforms to the general expectations of the interface that Office users have come to expect since 2007 introduced the ribbon. If you can use any other Office app, you are at least standing on your feet when it comes to starting with Visio.

Inconvénients

The cost of Visio is outrageous when compared to alternatives, both web-based and standalone apps. At its heart a rudimentary vector editor, there is little that Visio does for what 98% of the people who use it that free/cheaper alternatives such as draw.io, visme, etc all do for a fraction of the cost. Given an idea and time anyone should be able to use one of the alternatives and achieve the same output that Visio provides. The only reason to use Visio is if you are forced to stay in the Office environment.

I am a system engineer. As a system engineer, i need to draw network and system infrastructure diagram. So, i am using visio to create network and system diagram for my work .
Visio is a great digram creation software. It has a lot of stencils. GUI is very easy to use for beginner and easy to find template and stencils from online.

Inconvénients

I don't have many, but when I do, it can be challenging for me to make adjustments to a big design with many of shapes and lines; at that point, it gets tedious.

Loved the familiarity to other Office products and ease of use.

Felt a little bit clunky at times and has limited integrations with other programs. Also would like to see more image and icon options.

I wish, animation feature of data presentation could be integrated with the visio. Although the most of the work out put from the visio is 2 dimensional, however Microsoft should adapt the 3d export feature for better data visualisation
