Feasible Solution for Plan Administration
Avantages
It's a very intuitive platform to use, easy to run reports, proxy in as a participant, and drop off and pick up files.
Inconvénients
There are too many restrictions on making updates as an administrator. Many changes must go through the service team.

This may be the worst software I have used. Ever.
Awful. Just Awful.
Avantages
Through many bugs and a painful login and re-authentication process every single time I access the platform, I have been able to exercise my options through Certent.
Inconvénients
They take something that is already difficult for many people to understand and make it worse by having a terrible UI, and login and authentication process

representative is responsive to my queries and usually able to resolve or bring in the right contact to help resolve
Inconvénients
Certain reports could be better - example the accrued expense report, the net expense column is on the far right side of the report (about 50 columns over) and so every time you have to pull it forward for easy visability

Good System, Easy to Use
Overall a positive experience. The system is user friendly and contains good amount of details which makes it a pretty good system to use. There are some challenges in set up, including figuring out how to implement changes and variables and tailor things to a company's specific needs. But the team gets through it with you. Overall a good system.
Avantages
Its easy to read, follow and track once you login. The system has great details and is able to understand quite a bit of variations and nuances.
Inconvénients
Its sometimes cumbersome to make changes in the system. You have to consistently email the Certent team to implement changes.

I really liked the user-friendly interface of Certent Equity Management. It makes equity tracking and compliance management much easier. Inconvénients
Some advanced reporting tools can be a bit complex to navigate at first, but once you get used to them, they work smoothly. The pricing might seem a little high, but considering the features provided, it is justified

Great Equity Management System
It is an amazing Equity Management system.

A software package deep in scope and analytics
I highly, highly recommend that anyone consider this equity management platform. We have a saying in the office when something doesn’t add up, “it’s not the software”. The analytics and depth of product is incredible.
Avantages
The Certent software came highly recommended and they have never disappointed. It is an extremely robust and powerful software platform.
Inconvénients
When they got acquired there was decent staff turnover.

Great product with a lot of functionality and amazing customer service overall
Overall experience has been positive due to the support I receive from their team(s). I have not worked in any other equity management system so it's hard to compare. I think Certent has a lot of great functionality; however, I do think it could be more user friendly. Although, all the nuances of stock compensation can be tough to address and, overall, Certent meets the needs that we have.
Avantages
Customer service is extremely responsive and very helpful. I've submitted dozens of cases and usually receive a response in a few hours or less. Also, the "help" topics section is very user-friendly and has a lot of great resources to help me navigate the system and answer my own questions. Certent reporting is also really great when you know what you're looking for and how you'd like to view it.
Inconvénients
The system is not incredibly intuitive (but then again, neither is equity management in general). When entering new grants and/or recording various transactions in the system, it can be difficult to figure out how to do so effectively and efficiently without the help of their support teams. I also don't enjoy how frequently the passwords reset in the system.

Certent Equity Management
Certent has worked well and I am happy with the how we are are able to navigate with the module. Reporting gets the job done as there are standard reports for practically all our needs. Customer service is top notch. They respond very quickly to cases and provide accurate information.
Avantages
The system is pretty simple to use once you learn how to navigate through the different menu's. There is definitely a learning curve but once you learn how everything trickles down it makes tracking of equity a lot simpler.
Inconvénients
Navigation is clunky. Wish it could be more interactive from an admin perspective.

Great Customer Service!
Avantages
I recently took over our equity management after the previous owner left the company. I have call Certent multiple times for help with various issues as I learn this new process. They have always exceeded my expectations and resolved my problems quickly.
Inconvénients
Some of the updates needed in the software can be tedious to make. Changes are made at the individual level rather than the grant level.

Functional and Supported... but Expensive.
Avantages
It does pretty much everything you could want an Equity Management platform to do. And the Support Team is always available and knowledgeable. There hasn't been an issue I couldn't get through with the support and product.
Inconvénients
It is one of the most expensive in the industry. I have tried to justify the cost for a long time and wish they were more flexible on the pricing. It also has some less-than-intuitive menu schemes and data reports that feel would be an easy fix, but they aren't ever addressed.

Certent Equity Management Review
The overall benefit of using Certent is that it has save us time during month-end.
Avantages
Ever since our Company migrated over to Certent and away from the our options spreadsheet, it has made our equity management easier from tracking of new option awards to expense recognition during month-end closes.
Inconvénients
The least I like about this software is the HRPC and broker integration piece. There are many tasks that still have to be done manually in the integration piece. For example, when we terminate employee in our HR/Payroll system, termination does not feed over properly. Date of birth for new hires does not feed properly as well.

Certent Equity Management gets the job done
Avantages
This software is easy to use and the reporting tools are great.
Inconvénients
The Section 16 part of the software maybe the most difficult part to learn, but once you figure it all out it is no big deal.

Certently moving forward

Software provides forecasting which has been extremely powerful especially in these economic times

Can be so fickle with timing of the activity. not very fluid to correct misinformation from data uploads
