Avantages

I love this software. It allows me to effortlessly log in securely to each one of my applications that my company uses.

Inconvénients

I wish there was a way to bypass push notifications for security log in. I would rather enter a PIN number each time instead of waiting for a notification to my watch or phone.

Avantages

I like how centrally located information is and the ease of use within the platform. It links other programs for payroll, time management, and other useful programs. There are many great uses of Okta when looking to integrate a system in a company.

Inconvénients

The one component I would look for is an automatic log-in so I wouldn't have to log-in each time.

Avantages

Helped with second level verification for various products.

Inconvénients

Only able to have apps pushed for IT, so unfortunately, even though Okta was able to manage passwords for many things, I was only able to use it for select items.

Avantages

What I like most about the program is that for the company I worked for at the time all programs that I needed to access where housed in this platform. Everything from submitting hours, reviewing payroll, documents, rules, and notes to refer back to where all housed in Okta.

Inconvénients

The thing I disliked most about using Okta is that if you try to access Okta from another device it is very difficult. You pretty much need to add the plug in and log in again on that device. I had to do this on more than one occasion due to a pc being down and I was not able to work because I could not access okta on the other pc.

Okta makes passwords a thing of the past. You can easily log into your accounts w/ one click. I also love their browser extension.

Inconvénients

I would love to see even more integrations w/ Okta, but theree might be some bottlenecks that I am unaware of.

Avantages

Okta is just so easy to use, and understand when setting anyone up with it. I have a dozen different apps/softwares on there, and I can log into them all with just a button touch. It's always open on a bookmark for me because it's so useful.

Inconvénients

I have no cons at all! I would only rate 9/10 because I'm not sure what other options are on the market and how good they are

Use to use a vpn which was a bit of a pain for authentication and I much prefer the push notification through the app.

Inconvénients

I found set up was a little difficult. It may have been the way my account was initially set up but it was incredibly difficult to understand that it was set up incorrectly.

Okta is relatively easy to use and I’m sure my IT team loves it. Once you get the settings right it is also pretty seamless and doesn’t add too many additional steps to signing on.

I don’t have too much to complain about it besides it becomes annoying when you have to do multi factor sign in a lot.

Okta has a great solution for any organization that wants to use other tools rather than the Microsoft ones. Okta provides a beautiful login screen that end users can access their apps.

Inconvénients

No cons here. Okta is super cool and awesome to use.

- It's easy for users, no need to remember password, or copy paste passwords
- It's easy for admins to manage accounts for users

- A lot of steps to see the passwords (probably for security purpose, but just annoying sometimes)
- Can't update the login url of the account.
- Has to stay on the page while logging in, otherwise login will fail.

Avantages

The graphical user interface is easy to use and does not take much time in familiarizing with the features. A highly responsive customer service and support team. The set up allows us to even add more applications, it is highly customizable. The application has multi factor authentication. They have reporting and statistics capabilities. They have regular audits and it does not have much issues. The end users too find it simple to use and not much issues are reported. There is this single user dash board where you get to see the whole picture in one frame.

Inconvénients

The cost is quite pricey when it comes to service. Up-gradation, while you use desktop application is very time consuming.

Avantages

Love how you can log into Okta and all your apps you need to log into are under one roof. Easy to log into everything you need vs. having separate log-ins all over the place.

Inconvénients

Nothing at the moment- have not had any issues.

It's not the most intuitive - I didn't realize what it was, or how to use it for the longest time. It wasn't until my IT department walked me through it that I realized it's benefit.

It's a good system to track info and keep track of call data. Allows me to do a variety of actions while on a call with a client.

It works well, however seems to have various bugs and connection problems in our current pandemic world. It's not well suited for a major world event that cause over exposure to the service.

Our ~5000 users love the tool and find it simple and intuitive. In addition, delegating the app administration to app owners has moved the responsibility of access provisioning to the right owners.

Doesn't everyone hate creating and remembering passwords? Well now you don't have to worry about it. Get your company to adopt this ASAP. All major softwares are in there and this makes life so much easy. I love this tool.

It is complicated to setup, especially if you don't have a dedicated IT team.

It really helps to 1) give organization and also to give 2) peace of mind when surfing the net. I like how simple it is to use.

I really don't have a dislike to name here, as everything seems to work just fine.

Can be used from big to large organisations and helps secure passwords using 2FA and can be integrated with reverse proxy.

The initial configuration and cost can be quite a bit, but it is pretty carefree once set up, which alleviates constant maintenence

I love having all the logins that I need for various platforms in use at my work in one place, so I can easily hop in without having to remember any urls or login details. I have also set up SSO integrations as a software engineer with Okta and it has always been a nice and flexible system to work with from that perspective.

Inconvénients

The user interface is a bit basic from an end-user perspective, but I guess it doesn't really need to do much other than display a bunch of links.

Okta had a lot of great features and integrations with out softwares to make that a breeze. For users it was great to use as it was easy.

As far as the admin side it was a bit complicated to get things setup. There were other softwares similar that were easier to config in my opinion.

Okta simply WORKS every time its called upon, which is a significant improvement over most MFA/SSO tools I've used. There's no fussing or worrying about getting locked out

I haven't found a downside yet. I'm not keen on installing extra apps but for a tool like Okta, it's necessary

Okta allows single sign-in so I can securely access my work's server from anywhere! Whether I am on the go, traveling or working from home I never miss a beat. Okta is easy to use.

Sometimes I have to redownload but easy enough to fix.

Okta is nice because it stores all my passwords but I don't have to worry about my passwords being accessed by someone else because of duel authenticating.

The con is that every time you need one of your passwords you have to sign into Okta and then approve on your phone.

Most of the apps we are using are already integrated with Okta and it seems very easy to setup for admins and end-users.

Some of the applications setup process seems highly technical which requires a developer or sys admin to setup.

Service works fine. What I like, from a developer point of view, is the variety of blogposts and examples implementing Okta with different languages and frameworks

We developed Okta integration in to an app we host. The documentation was great and the free version of the software offered plenty of functionality in order for us to do our testing.

Inconvénients

Login has been quite slow at times vs the other SSO platforms that we use. The logs also lack a bit in detail so finding faults can be difficult.

As an end user, what I love the most about OKTA is the simplicity!
I can log on into every account I need on my job, increasing not only my productivity but also, the security of my passwords. I dont have to type and retype them, I just log once and I can access every app I need! That easy!

Inconvénients

Nothing so far! I love this service and I would recommend it without hesitation.

Okta has made it easy for me to find everything that I'm supposed to do within my organization. I don't need to wonder what I'm supposed to have access to or not. It is all in one place with one login.

Inconvénients

When I change my login information to Okta or our main website I need to change every password and it can get confusing. I have to have notes in my password manager to remember every password I need to change when the software makes me change one password.
