We wanted to improve one of our highly important process which is the new tooling full dimensional measurement process from ballooning the dimensions to measured data automation. 1factory PDF auto-ballooning and auto-uploading of CMM data solved our needs. Our customers were very satisfied as we are providing faster and more accurate reports. Our in-process inspection became more productive and efficient after using the QC Plan, Inspection and Analytics features. We had productivity gain of about 20% after using 1factory on our production quality control, eliminating use of paper-based data recording and human error in recording and data entry. Since all data is digitised, we've speed up the traceability time of historical data during customers and third parties audit. The historical data provided us a quick visual view of our manufacturing performance thus providing confidence and assurance to our customers. Customer service was prompt, patience and supportive in responding to our enquiries.We also like the continuous improvement and adding of features such as PPAP, Gage GR&R.One great delighters was the Chinese language subtitles training videos and the user interface. It's so thoughtful and it helped our users to learn and embrace the software with ease.

Inconvénients

We were not familiar with some features and functions but the 1factory folks were always patience and supportive in helping us to learn and master them.

Avantages

Well designed, easy to use, quick/easy access to raw data downloads in each of the modules.

Inconvénients

Not all data is available to download. Missing ability to Mass Update (for e.g., in instances of multiple variants of Supplier/Vendor Names). Very weak reporting options.

If you work in Quality Control, this will be the most powerful tool you can use day-to-day. Within days our production floor experienced 40% less non-conformances . As a defense contractor, our customers appreciated the AS9102 format and our inspectors now spend more time actually inspecting now that reports are seamlessly generated.

Inconvénients

There is a slight learning curve for this software, but this can be easily overcome even for the most basic user. Just make sure you spend the time reading the tutorials/introduction training - you won't regret it!

Avantages

1Factory has everything you need. Everything is connected. The best part about 1Factory is the customer service. [sensitive content hidden] is always available for any question and he will respond within the hour and sometimes sets up a zoom meeting to explain and help.

Inconvénients

Working with specific customers, we ran into an issue that our sampling plan is not available in 1factory. It's on the radar to be added in the future.

Nothing as of now, Everything looks easy and best in the business, I would say No CONS for 1 factory.

Avantages

It is so easy to baloon the drawings, and to update excisting drawing in case of change.
Very fast to create new controlplans and FMEAs and to update the FMEA due to customer complaints.
Before making inspection, you check the calibration og your gage and it is linked to your measurements.

Inconvénients

I would like more options in the analysis tool.
Fx. select how many NCR's we have had for each process pr. month.

Avantages

Ease of use creating and revising inspection plans - the workflow is fast. Easily update a specification or an entire rev change in minutes. The automatic data analytics within the plans is also a huge time saver.

Having the non-conforming (NCR) reporting within the QC system and linked to specific dimension(s) is also hugely beneficial within the QC system.

Inconvénients

Data backup doesn't save out ballooned drawings.

Avantages

The software is easy to use and learn. I have been in the Quality Assurance world for quite some time now and find that both new and seasoned persons would appreciate the simplistic, yet elegant, approach to quality. This software would not only help companies who have never had a CAPA/8D or quality assurance department, it also helps structure and document receiving inspection, supplier CAPA, Internal CAPA. The simplistic way that it produces reporting is a great and useful tool for anyone looking to gain or maintain compliance with regulatory bodies (ISO/AS/IATF) as well as keeping customer satisfaction high with quick reporting/number assisgnments to CAPA/8D reports.

Inconvénients

There are no short comings to this software. Anytime I hit any type of bottleneck, I have been able to reach out to 1Factory and an immediate solution is brought forth by the developers. Great response.

Avantages

The software is easy to use and learn.

Since the introduction of 1Factory my quality and production team have seen an improvement in the parts being made as well as the communication between our departments which has improved overall production.

The real time run data that is produced by 1Factory helps my team notice trends much more quickly and save production time that would otherwise be spent manufacturing non-compliant parts.

Inconvénients

None. The support staff and the 1Factory team have been exceptional partners. Anytime we have found something that doesn't quite seem right or something we think could be done differently the 1Factory team has always accommodated our suggestions.

Avantages

We bought this software for the PPAP and FAI functionality. The all in one packaging and intuitive processing structure, paired with master controls and seamless automations, made our choice for 1factory a NO BRAINER. We have yet to explore all this software has to offer - I am confident it will solve many more problems as we integrate with all its incredible features.

Honestly, nothing. Anytime we ran into, or run into a snag, 1factory's customer service is on top of solutions. They always have the answer, and I see them using customer feedback to what appears to be monthly continuous improvements and innovative enhancements for what real users actually need, with (+ a fantastic website for simple learning and troubleshooting).

In some situations we'd hope for additional functionality of the software but in many of these instances, we're able to work with the 1factory development team to build in improvements for future software releases.

Avantages

The ease of use is definitely a plus when using and training personnel on this software. All inspectors were trained within one business day, which helps with the transition from a dated software to 1factory. As a QE the reporting side is my favorite tool that 1factory has. before one factory it would take a couple days to gather all the information needed to present to the board once a month. Now with 1factory the reports make themselves, just make sure you are filling in all the required information. MSA uses the NCR charts to attack area that need attention, whether it be supplier defects or reoccurring shop floor defects. This drives Corrective Action, which 1factory also as superb CAPA module that has a task management side to drive actions with dates! The time it use to take me to write inspections plans is cut down tremendously with being able to click on dimensions and setting frequencies to check said dimensions at. This also take the human error out of it when looking at drawing with 50+ dimensions. Another plus is the visibility, every that has a seat on the software can see how we are doing as a company whether we are missing tasks, high PPM's (Internally & externally) & supplier performance. The next plus was the customization that Nipun and his team provide. they are always striving to make this software even greater than it already is. Since we have started around a year ago our wish for Gage management, Audit findings & Approved Vendor list has been achieved

I honestly cannot say I dislike anything about this software. It has been night and day compared to what I was working prior to 1 factory. Nipun and his team are working towards new additions to the software that we have requested and it seems like the sky is the limit with them.

Avantages

I have yet to see another software that comes close to the accuracy of the OCR when ballooning prints. The customer service is unparalleled. The 1Factory team demonstrates a willingness to actually listen to their customers, provide feedback, and they're dedicated to continuous improvement. It is very refreshing to finally deal with a software company that genuinely cares about their customers.

Inconvénients

I do not have many complaints about this software. The only issue is the monumental task of changing all of our previous jobs/parts over to the new layout. Our company tends to do things a little differently and more complicated. Nonetheless, the extra time up front is proving to be worth the extra effort.

Avantages

Extremely intuitive to use, which results in fast training of internal and external users and quick adoption of the tool.

No matter how powerful a tool may be, if it's hard to use or implement, then it fails to get used. 1Factory is elegantly simple.

Inconvénients

Overall we find very little cons with the software. There is a lack of customization which can be frustrating to some team members, but when we do find areas that really need improvement (meaning better suited to our needs) the 1Factory team is quick to discuss our challenges and provide solutions.

Avantages

Cloud based and easy to implement. We were able to roll this software out section by section, as needed. All teams have access to amazing information on material and device quality. It's excellent for tracking exceptions.

Inconvénients

I would love for there to be signatures that adhere to FDA Part 11, but that hasn't slowed us down at all.

Avantages

It's easy to use!
I've had some experience with other programs, and they have a ton of functionality but are usually way too much and convoluted to use (inputting information takes too many steps and therefore falls to the wayside).
1 Factory is a different story; it's very straightforward.
Cost!

When we first started with it, it wasn't quite there for what we needed. That was QUICKLY remedied by Nipun and his staff. They're still hard at work adding more and more functionality and addressing all of our needs. I'm quite surprised by the level of attention, detail, and customer support.

-Organization is made simple by having all of our Quality records in one place.
-Inspection plans are made for any Manufacturing Operator to successfully follow inspection criteria.
-Visual aids to spot any trends in the manufacturing process.

Inconvénients

The 1factory Team has listened to our thoughts, visited many time and took action to help improve and streamline our Quality department in many ways. Any cons have got worked and accommodated to benefit every 1factory user.

Avantages

I love 1factory's super clean and user friendly interface. It's totally intuitive and uncluttered. It takes only a few hours to become an intermediate user. The software contains a ton of helpful features and automations. If you're stuck using an old clunky quality software, consider switching to 1factory.

Inconvénients

There isn't much to say here. At this point the feature set isn't fully developed but they frequently release new modules and features and these are always included for free with your original access.

Avantages

What I liked the most about this software is the ability to get access to manufacturing data whenever needed, and be able to deeply analyze this data using the 1factory features offered. As a Quality Manager, I am able to go back to incoming inspection done on specific components received at our Manufacturer's site and use Statistical Process Control tools offered by 1factory to analyze this data. Before 1factory, I used to request this data in an excel spreadsheet from our manufacturer and needed to use a different software to analyze this data. With 1factory, I am able to go from a manufacturing testing plan, to a receiving plan, to a receiving inspection and analyze this data in a matter of a click!

Inconvénients

So far I have no complaints about this software. All my requests/concerns were addressed by the developers.

Avantages

The IT folks love it: the software is reliably "in the cloud" and has been unavailable for a few minutes out of the 18 months we have used it. The Mechanics like it because of the easy data entry; they can report a nonconformance very quickly and be confident there is a record of their concerns. Task assignments are easy for all users: it is fine as collaboration software.

The major advantage for the QE staff is the ability to prepare inspection plans working from .pdf copies of blueprints. I have worked at famous defense prime contractors without this capability for preparing plans. We have not exploited the SPC capability sufficiently but are looking forward to doing more work with it.

1factory has been great at inviting user suggestions and implementing them.

Inconvénients

It still needs some work so that suppliers can work on SCARs within the software.

For me, I benefit mostly from the NCR and gage tracking features as this is where I have spent most of my time while using 1Factory.

Inconvénients

My main issue with this software is that there are certain functions that require multiple steps to make a change, when it seems like it should be a one or two click operation. This can make tasks take longer to complete than you might expect.

Avantages

The capability to set up alternate quality management system paperwork (such as AS 9100 and ISO 9000) and keep records of measurements throughout our shop.

Inconvénients

Rarely the software does this, but it has an issue regarding reading the blueprint. The entire screen becomes populated with overlapping yellow rectangles, obscuring the view of the blueprint.

Avantages

All of the features in the software have been well designed and the company constantly improves its performance according to the customers requirements and meets more and more international standards.
We have been able to improve our acceptance audit and build an improved customer complaint system with the help of the software.
Today we are trying with the ability of the software to do process audit in the production lines of our suppliers that includes SPC and control production processes (cpk ppk).
In external audit it is very easy to show the auditors the qualities that the software enables in managing quality and keeping processes more complete and accurate than before.

Inconvénients

Most of our request is fulfilled by 1Factory as a regular self improvement and we have call session from time to time with the 1Factory team to coordinate the features we want to improve. so we only have a good experience with the software.
