Homebase is FANTASTIC!
The very best decision we have made that reduced our time with payroll and improved our recored keeping! Both management and our staff have been very happy with our move to Homebase!
Avantages
We used ADP for 6 years. When we moved to Homebase we decreased our time doing payroll and onboarding. The system is rock solid and very easy to use. When I have a question, they are very responsive. The Homebase team is fantastic!
Inconvénients
In our business the government requires breaks every 4 hours and in order to make sure that time is deducted by the system, we have to manually enter it for each employee's shift. While it does not take too long, it could easily be automated and I know other payroll system do it automatically.

My overall experience with Homebase is a 10/10. I would recommended Homebase to any business.
Avantages
The ease and simplicity of using Homebases features is what makes it a phenomenal product for our company. It's excellent solution for our company because of all the features it offers. Homebase is a part of our daily operations, not just for its timeclock functionality, but we use homebase to communicate as a team.
Inconvénients
The only thing that I do not like about Homebase is when a new hire already has a profile with a previous company that uses Homebase.

Great App and don't plan on changing.
I find the app easy to use for administrative and the employees find it easy to use for employment information.
Avantages
The schedule building part. So easy to make a schedule for over 30 people! The copy from a past week is a great time saver.
We also use the timeclock. Very easy to correct those who forget to clock in or out. Also can tell by the dashboard who hasn't clocked in or isn't here.
Inconvénients
Can't think of anything. We have had it for quite awhile now.

Great time-keeping and clockin system for a start-up
Overall it was great, i liked clocking in and out and found the system to be efficient and useful. I wish the time-off and holiday were on the free plan too. I think that would make more people want to sign up. Other than that I enjoyed it for two years. I would highly recommend this even if your new.
Avantages
If your new to the whole productivity/time-keeping area then homebase is great starting point. It has some great features which as a startup i have used, such as building my own rota for the month and scheduling timeoff. also it comes with a free plan so you can make most of it before paying into a monthly subscription.
Inconvénients
I would like some of the paid features to be free hence why i left and cancelled the account. Other than that if it had those i would have stayed.

Having scheduling, time tracking, payroll, tax filing, workers comp insurance and audits all in one place is a lifesaver.
Avantages
It's been a valuable tool for being able to use historical sales data to decide how many employees to schedule on any given day. It helps me budget wages accurately.
Inconvénients
Some functionality is clunky with too many steps, occasionally we have problems with the time clock, geolocation doesn't work.

A wonderful experience with Homebase
It makes my job so easy when it comes to keeping up with employees & tracking their hours. I want to see what the payroll piece will do. While I have a CPA doing my book keeping and doing payroll which cost me 600 monthly for two location. I want to really need to save money.
Avantages
I love the way I can manage my employees schedule using Homebase, make schedules, and update pricing. The Clover is the best POS system since sliced bread.
Inconvénients
I want to use HR, but it's too high for me at this time. I need to get a employee hand book completed and I have yet to do it and I've been using Homebase to almost 9 years.

Homebase is intuitive and organized.
I have been using Homebase for a year or two. I tried cutting expenses and using Jobber but it was much more work. I use Homebase to let the employees know when they are expected in and when they should clock out by. Because we are on the road it is only estimated. Homebase lets me put in a shift/run and Jobber gives them the program ordered. It’s like Homebase is an outline and Jobber is the report.

1. Easy to use. 2. Calculates estimated hours. 3. Easy to move things around.
4. Posts easy. 5. Time clock. 6. Time sheets. 7. Record keeping
Inconvénients
New Update with light markings and no lines. Makes me feel like I’m blind feeling my way around hoping to find the right button. Dark mode might make it better but I like to make it bolder.

Jobber has a schedule issue. It has many hoops to go through to get a “run” or shift together. It does a good job with the customer end but not the employee end. I need to tell the employee when to come into work to prepare for the “job”. I can’t leave that up to the employee. It also helps in improving visibility when it comes to staffing by replacing traditional methods which were notoriously inefficient.

HR worthy app
We use Homebase for our employees. It has an onboarding feature that handles ssn and direct deposit info, which is helpful at the end of the year as well. You can schedule your employees so that they can see their schedules right away. There is a quick pay feature. The chat rooms came in handy for daily medical notes for our staff and we could reference things that happened for each client as far back as we needed to go. Homebase really help streamline alot of HR tasks. I would recommend it.

I really liked the scheduling feature and the onboardinh payroll features. Also the chat was great.

Having to sign into a desk top for some management features.

Scheduling and posting jobs was very easy!

Sometimes the app wouldn't show that someone had privately messaged - group chats always showed up though so it was a bit odd

Best Scheduling App
Very easy to use. Very intuitive interface. Easy to add/terminate employees and set up schedules. This has been one of the most user-friendly apps we have used and all employees have access to it.
Avantages
I like the ease of making schedules - from copying days to copying weeks and then making adjustments. I also like the employees' ability to request time off and swap shifts with no interaction from the administrator.
Inconvénients
I would love if Homebase forced alerts on employees. We send messages out and I can see that only 1/2 the employees have read it.

Not great at all. Terrible user interface and everything seems scattered.

It handles employee weekly pay easily, job scheduling, and in-app messenging.
Inconvénients
The mobile app is horrendous, very difficult to navigage scheduled jobs, assigned jobs, and completed jobs. Cant add job photos, hard to tell if a shift was picked up by an employee after posting. Using the desktop version is not feasible as we need to access the app on the go.

Confessions of a Homebase Addict
Homebase is literally an addiction. All of the tasks that need to be done with this product are agonizing for any manager. But this product makes it not only easy, but enjoyable! I actually love performing all the tasks on Homebase because it is so practical, straightforward and simple. I am on the app multiple times a day just reminding myself of who is working when. I would be lost without this product and in terrible shape. Thank you for 3 years of making my life easy!

Ease of use. It is so convenient to have everything you need inside the app. The schedule building is so simple and practical. Everyone can see it and request changes. I love that the manager features can be accessed inside the app. Almost everything can be accessed without a computer.
Inconvénients
There is nothing I dislike. The only thing I ask is that you please do not change or complicate the setup because it is so practical and easy to find everything. Please do not complicate it. It's just right the way it is!

Nimble and robust scheduling and payroll app
Its a well integrated software for scheduling and time clock monitoring as well as payroll functionality. It has some unfortunate quirks, but none that outweigh the benefits of the app.
Avantages
Its very intuitive and easy to navigate. Online connectivity makes it easy for multiple managers to use it for specific roles.
Inconvénients
Homebase "updated" their online scheduling and now its more cumbersome to use - multiple refreshes are necessary to keep up with changes (its frustrating)

A very positive experience and software that I utilize regularly for multiple jobs in hospitality. Even though I have been using this product for a couple of years now, I am constantly learning about new features within Homebase.
Avantages
The versatility of functionality. A fantastic scheduling system that allows for different calendars/schedules for different teams, as well as colour coding for various positions. Ability to have multiple jobs under different tabs that can be easily navigated between. Ability to see projected earnings as well as actual earnings in real time. Also the ability to clock in and out from an employees own mobile device is very helpful.
Inconvénients
The only issue that has continued to arise on various occasions is notifications not coming through on Iphone. This continues to occur even when notification settings are turned on and when app has been deleted and re-downloaded. Aside from this, functionality is amazing.

Great Scheduling Software for businesses of all sizes
Overall we love homebase. We started out using it as a test with just 1 location now we use it for 9 different businesses. Some of them have office staff, some remote/traveling staff that use GPS on app clock in/clock out and some have staff that clock in when they get to work using on location computers. It couldn't be quicker to set up and get started and the fact that you have a forever schedule history is an awesome feature. Plus depending on the features you need - you can try it out for free (as in free free - their starting price point is zero)

Simple interface, quick timesheet edits and complete edit/history tracking for all changes made to anything in their system.
Inconvénients
The applicant tracking and job posting system is terrible. No app integration, mixed up listings if you have multiple businesses with different names, only one landing page listing jobs for all your locations combined...the list goes on. Skip this unless you are only one location or all of your businesses share the same brand/name.

You can not always resend an invite to a worker. If the worker does not accept and add it to their phone the first time, it is not always available to resend the invite to the worker a second time.

I love this app. It makes my job ten times easier and accurate. I love that I can keep the facts available at my fingertips because it direct has an impact on future schedules and events.

I like the complete organization of the app and it's ease of use. It is very user friendly, and the features fit exactly what I look for as far as scheduling, tracking hours, abcenses, and availability.
Inconvénients
There is nothing I do not like. I would like to see more ability to create events and add important notes to the schedule such as when orders are due, cleaning is needed, etc.

You won't be disappointed!
Overall would absolutely recommend, even if you just utilize the scheduling aspect. As an established business I had pretty much everything except the scheduling portion covered. (I was using paper schedules - oh the headaches!)
Avantages
Ease of use for both me, scheduling and staff utilizing. Even the ones that are not "tech savvy". The lack of headaches with staff wanting to switch shifts is taken out of my responsibility pile and placed firmly in the app. My absolute favorite new tool of the year!
Inconvénients
As I do not utilize anything other than the scheduling aspect and that portion is a free service, there is nothing to b1tch about. :)

After using it with our restaurant staff, our golf staff decided to use this as well, after hearing how easy it was to use and set up.

Good options but struggles at times
Avantages
We have used Homebase for our needs for the last 7 years. There are many features that are nice that we use. The timeclock is the main feature that we use as it allows our team members to clock in and out right from their phones. It also give them how many hours they have worked and how much pay they have made.
Inconvénients
The message and schedule feature is hard. The Message feature constantly stops working so our team members dont get the notifications. Also trying to schedule for a month at a time is very hard and it could be easier. I have asked that they make it easier but nothing has changed.

I really love it. It simplified my work scheduling and employee time clock.

The shift reminders can be a lot somedays, but I am not sure if I turned that feature off or if it went away. It is no longer a problem.

Its a total scam and not worth it
terrible- it is very hard to see the schedule and use and for the minimal function a small company needs it is very expensive and we have never been a priority with the company at all- they don't care about the little guy

If you had a large company it might be useful to you but unless you use all the features it is a waste of money.

It is very expensive. The support is terrible and takes a week to do anything. If you sign up and want to cancel 2 months later you still have to pay for the entire year. it is a scan to make money

Homebase provides scheduling, payroll, and time clock support. It is very user friendly and offers multiple features in one platform.
Inconvénients
Least likeable feature is the lack of capabilities for employees to pick up shifts outside of their scheduled hours.

Flexible Scheduling App
I love having Homebase as a tool and will continue to use it as long as it continues to meet the needs of our business.
Avantages
Homebase saves me so much time by giving me ease to use tools to help build employee schedules and communicate with staff members.
Inconvénients
I wish there were another tier below the PLUS plan and above the base plan. I feel that I have to pay for many features I don't need to get a few extra that I do need.

Homebase Good for Small Companies
It was good for it's use. Our staff found it easy to use.
Avantages
Ease of use, good way for team members to clock in and out showing us they were onsight as they were supposed to be.
Inconvénients
It was tedious to see where a team member was assigned to go unless I looked at each one's assignment.

It's very easy to use/learn and very new users friendly.

more addon would be uselful to be able to use homebase to his maximum potention, example adding notes to employees to have easy access to their preference in schedule.

Excellent for Scheduling and Team Communication
Overall, it has been a wonderful project for scheduling. Our team loves that they get the email updates and know when a schedule has been published. We also use the in-app communication platform a lot for people to swap shifts, which is really helpful.
Avantages
An easy system to keep everyone up to date on schedules, changes to scheduling and availability.
Inconvénients
It could be tricky sometimes to set roving or static availabilities, without then having to change the entire schedule but it did seem to improve mostly after speaking to customer service!
