I like very most the types of courses offers on EDX, they have a big quantity of courses for people who wants to learn more about an specific topic. In my case I choose courses vinculates with enviroment and development, and all the materials, lectures and videos was so nice and I learn a lot about the new tendecies and new tools in using in the enviroment and development.

I cannot have the option to get a certified becuase the most of them are for pay and I do not have the money to pay for it, I feel a little sad because I do not have any proof to show my family and partners that I am using my time to learn new issues.

Very low the offer of free certifications, I think you miss a great opportunity to create a larger user base by allowing to have some courses that can be certified for free.

edX is a great tool to hone skills. I generally use it to learn programming features, how data structures are implemented in various programming languages, and how to wrangle and analyze data. The courses are self-paced and free; however, for a small fee a certificate is attainable. I have learned to write my own Python scripts and perform data analysis. It has a user friendly interface and the courses are from top universities. Overall a great tool if you are always trying to learn new tools.
