Solid free office suite solution
I have deployed this product to a few users instead of using/paying for a full MS office suite.
Avantages
ITS Free and it offers most of the basic functionality that you would get from a paid office suite solution
Inconvénients
I would really like more compatibility between Microsoft solutions and Libre office documents.

Avantages
Does a good job at handling basic office work .What works best for Libre is that it is free ,no charges are involved .
Inconvénients
I don't know if is intentional ,but they do seem like they are trying to copy Microsoft office products . And failing at that , because they can't reach the large number of additional features.

A good alternative to MS Office
I use this product "on the go" on my laptop and phone.
Avantages
The price -- great alternative for basic office functions for those who can't afford or don't want the MS Office suite! It also has an Android version that can be used on my phone.
Inconvénients
It sometimes feels a little more clunky than using Word or other MS Office products.

Free Office Editing with LibreOffice
Avantages
This software is fantastic for its price! (Free). It compares with Microsoft Office mostly, and actually does the job of replacing it quite well. There are always some nifty features that are missing from Libre. But It does the job and does the job well for its price.
Inconvénients
It's in progress, but it doesn't have cloud storage like Google Drive does.

Free Microsoft Office?
It's a decent office replacement, but it comes at the cost of a very different interface that just feels dated.
Avantages
LibreOffice being free is a big reason that we decided to try using it. The ability to open and edit word, excel and powerpoint.
Inconvénients
Clunky interface. All the buttons and menus seemed dated. The layout was difficult to understand coming from microsoft office.

Great Value
Great software for the price, it always gets the job done!
Avantages
They have many features to try out and play with when using it. They are a complete Office Suite that gives great value for the price. Many other office suite software are much more expensive!
Inconvénients
The only downfall with this software is the overwhelming amount of features. The layout makes it overwhelming and a bit intimidating to use.

It has become my first choice for data entry because of its ease of use. It makes the task if data entry more seamless.
Avantages
It is very easy to use for certain spreadsheet tasks. Especially data entry and lead sheet creation.
Inconvénients
The citation feature in their word processor application is not as robust as other competitors on the market.

Open source freedom, with its quirks
I used LibreOffice primarily as a student when I converted a laptop over to Linux. I used it for some papers and found that overall it did everything I needed it to do. I would definitely use it in the future.
Avantages
The best thing about LibreOffice is it's open source. If you don't want to pay for Microsoft products and don't want the limitations or cloud requirements of Google Drive, then LibreOffice is for you. It has most of the features expected out of Microsoft Office products, and you can't beat free.
Inconvénients
Given that it's open source, the software definitely doesn't have the slick feel of proprietary software. It can feel less professional in that way.

My husband and I use it often. Its cheap and practical. Why pay for Microsoft when I dont need to?
Avantages
LibreOffice is a great option if you dont have Microsoft Office, or camt afford it. I believe that the documents themselves are saved as a open doc format (.odf), but you can still read amd write in .doc or .docx
Inconvénients
Sometimes reading or saving .doc files will mess up the alignment of your documents. It also doesnt have all the functions microsoft offers. But it's free.

Very happy overall. I was looking for free software just to make attractive looking PDF files and this was it.
Avantages
The free templates I can use to make PDF files for my website.
Inconvénients
It's always disappearing on my Mac screen so I keep having to re download it...could be a Mac issue though.

I think its a excellent cost effective tool, which provides great resistance to viruses and data breach.
Avantages
The best thing about the libre office is definitely its competence to the MS-office for no additional costs. It has all the features that you need for a professional office package. You have the presentation tools, to the mathematical excel sheets, as well as animation, word documents. Although it works best on linux systems, it is also comaptible with windows.
Inconvénients
The only downfall of using the libre office is that the files donot appear exactly the same when used on a different operation system, for example windows.

Good alternative
I have an issue with my Microsoft Word and my IT department aren't available to support me, I installed LibreOffice and did the job (PPT presentation) this software saved me!
Avantages
Compatible with the "normal" office files doc, ppt, xls.
If you don't have a license of Microsoft Office you can use this, easy to use
Inconvénients
Sometimes when you save the file like: docx, ppt, or another type and open it with Microsoft Office appear different (borders, fonts, etc)

A cheap way to get things done .
Avantages
LibreOffice is a free , open source Office bundle and can do everything Microsoft office can ,just not as good .If what you need are just simple spreadsheets, text files and / or presentations ,look no further than Libre .You just download it ,install and are good to go .
Inconvénients
It can be overwhelming at the beginning if you do not have experience with office programs . Not really compatible with other programs ,which causes extra work later on .

Why go to the office, let the office come to you.
We mainly use this for school-related projects and light marketing projects. It is perfect if you are looking to escape a subscription.
Avantages
It functions with some of the same capabilities as MS Office. It has a free version that works great for home projects and light business practices.
Inconvénients
Has some formatting issues with Excell and you will need to look for the different icons as opposed to where they are traditionally with MS Office.

It is fast and easy to use. It is mostly used to write test cases and other documents in my organization. It has good value of money.
Avantages
It is simple, requires no special skills to use and has all the basic functionalities of Microsoft Office. Why buy a costly Microsoft product when you can use this?

LibreOffice is the best alternative for expensive Microsoft Office. It is free to use. You can import your Word documents, Excel sheets,CSV all into LibreOffice. You can also save documents in .ODF format, making it accessible via other open source tools.
Inconvénients
Being open source, you will only depend upon community for technical support, which is not good enough. Also files created in MS Office are not supported in LibreOffice and vice versa.

A great alternative for other paid software that does the same job, open-source software helps a lot in reducing operating costs as license fees can quickly add up. If you have used office software before then I'm sure you will love this package from LibreOffice.

Good Alternative to Expensive Office Suites
We used LibreOffice when access to paid tools wasn't available, due to cost or other reasons. LibreOffice is great for general document production. The suite has the same word processing, spreadsheet, drawing, database and presentation applications as top-tier professional offerings. However, functionality and ease of use were major issues in our use of LibreOffice. That said, it will still get the job done and adequately handle the needs of the average individual or business.

We reduced our licensed softwares and avoid waste of money - over 2,000 dollars of outcome.

Free software - we dont need anything else. But - its pretty good, soft as good as microsoft word and comes with pretty much every single feature on office. But dont forget, its free ;D

Avantages
Libre Office is a great alternative to Microsoft office. It has all the needed features for processing word documents, presentations, spreadsheets, etc. It's easy to set up and use and most of all it's free. Quite flexible as well.
Inconvénients
Design is quite similar to MS office which often leads to comparison between the two and I've encountered some issues opening Libre documents in MS office

Libre office is very intuitive and really easy to use. Overall I actually like it a lot and compared to a lot of higher priced options avalible it really measures up.
Inconvénients
Not much to complain about. Perhaps one little annoyance is that the fonts they use aren't the same as in other office based products and so switching between other software products can be a little annoying.

I first encountered this application when using a raspberry pi (microcomputer) for word processing and was impressed at the speed of operation.

Everything has always been great, easy to use. Has the same functions as other, more expensive software.

It is so easy to use without the super expensive cost that other brand name software is. Very user friendly.

It runs quite slow on my laptop. I do not like that when I send a job to the printer, it creates that number of jobs in my printer queue. I would like them all to print as 1 job.

This is used to view spreadsheets/documents locally as needed.
Avantages
This comes prepackaged on a lot of linux distributions, and is a great open source alternative to Microsoft office. This can read and write files to/from MS Office formats for compatibility as well. Also is available fro a variety of systems as well.

Sometimes can lack the finish that MS office has, but overall is a great tool for office productivity.

it is way cheaper than Microsoft Word which I've used for 25+ years

I sometimes can't find my documents. It could be that whoever installed it, messed up putting my previous documents in different place.

Libreoffice review
Avantages
It works offline and has pretty great file format support for most major document types. It was forked off openoffice and has a similar feature set but appears to be slightly quicker to open allowing you to edit your documents slightly faster.
Inconvénients
Some of the ui design feels out of place in modern software but it still gets the job done. Can be slightly clunky but has lots of features to make up for it.

Open Source!
Avantages
It's open source, easy to access and compatible with almost all computers. As someone that works with Linux and other non-commercial Operating Systems, LibreOffice is amazing!
Inconvénients
It can be a little slow at times, but when it's free, you can't complain!
