it does what you need
Avantages
we manage 2 separate storage facilities with the software. does everything it needs to for us to run efficiently.
Inconvénients
when looking up a client you need to be in the correct facility. if you are in location "a" and you client is at location "b" your search for them will return no results. not an issue if you have 1 location but i can imagine if you are managing multiple locations this would be cumbersome.

The overall experience is great. Better than al the systems we have used in the past. Though the system has some bugs. I would recommend.

Wrong Advertisement
The transition to StoreEdge has been nothing but a nightmare. They way they starting communicating since the beginning is just unacceptable, everything is through a chat and you don't get notifications when someone sends you a message. You don't get to communicate with them via email or phone, you can be provided with phone numbers but they will never answer. The training needs a lot of improvement, as a first time user you are only hoping to get familiar with the software through proper training, unfortunately the training is non-existent. All they do is send you videos and links you have to watch and complete, you don't get to practice with any account until you are officially switched over, is like going to school without having a teacher.
I wish we can go back and never sign up for this software, we were sold the idea of a software that will improve things, the truth is, all of that is misleading information just to get you signed up with them. The correspondence with tenants/customers within the system is a disaster, there is a lot of limitations on things you can and cannot do. Just to create a simple template is way more complicated than the software we used to have. If you have a question, get ready to contact a helpless customer support team that does know anything, you can tell they are reading you instructions on something that they don't even know how to resolve, we have to ask with a manager after spending time with the "first tier" just because they don't seem to understand the importance of solving an issue for a customer. They will always give you basic solutions/alternative solutions instead of really give you the answer you are looking for.
They have NO billing customer support team, if you have a billing question, just call, leave a voicemail and wait days for them to reach out to you via email, they don't even return the call, they'll just send you an email acknowledging your request, but they are not help at all. I am not sure if StoreEdge is trying to automate things way too much and forgot that human interactions is still needed. Whoever is in charge, needs to get fired and restructure this software.

As much as we are trying to find something that would make us like this software, there is nothing positive to say.

The transition team, Customer Support, the "glitches" in the system. The training system.
Our company has been using this software for over a month now, it has been a nightmare to say the least, there was no proper instructions during the transition, once the product was sold and the agreement was signed, we were on our own. Literally, you have to teach the system yourself, all the do is send you "links". We have to reach out to higher ups to get some assistance and have been transferred to different people.

A very important and beneficial business decision
We really weighed the cost of getting started with this program but just couldn't deny all of the integrated features were pretty important and worthwhile in reducing employee time spent on tasks that would be automatic features with the program. And ultimately, we did away with needing an office employee. So just my wife and I run the office aspects of our storage facilities after our office gal retired. The inital set up was a lot of work for us to get the info needed to set up. And we did have one snafu when setting up the 3rd facility. So there is an unusable business profile on the corporate level that we just have to ignore. But once set up, things have been going pretty smoothly. Honestly, we didn't finish going thru the whole training videos. We started them but got the companies set up and running pretty quickly. And so just jumped right in to using the program to continue to run our storage facilities. So many of the features are so intuitive, there were very few issues that we had to go to the help and search for the answers. And when we had an issue we couldn't figure out, an email response was provided very quickly.
Avantages
All of the features available specifically built for the storage industry. The potential time reduction in tasks that the program would automatically do were highly appealing to us. And we were correct and able to reduce employment costs. The help getting professional websites set up was fantastic as well.
Inconvénients
The cost being a bit higher than other companies that we reviewed and considered gave us pause before jumping in.

Creating templates is over complicated, support is under educated and sound like they are reading off a script, no person to person training or support before launch day, on launch day our point person didn't even get my team their log ins, we got our log in from the website developer

Using Garbage Software.... I mean SiteLink.. I mean anyone else besides storEDGE consider the...
I love storEDGE. I love that I can take my laptop with me and with an Internet Connection I can visit Family & Friends and "work from home" sort of speak. I like to feel totally in control at all times and storEDGE allows me that I can access my work from anywhere. I love the knowledgeable customer service team. They do a great job. I've used other software's and storEDGE is simple, easy to access what you need and being able to feel connected to our customers is important to me. I like the Communication features. I can text, listen to previous recorded phone calls, and email customers easily from the software. Other software's may have the same features but storEDGE makes maneuvering and accessing these features easily. What's the point of having great features if your Managers can't figure it out? storEDGE makes this process a breeze!
Avantages
It's simple. It's easy to use. Customer Service is awesome and included in the price.
Inconvénients
When you are moving in a customer, you can't easily change the payment due date to be prorated to that specific date if its any day besides the 1st of the month. They use the word "Tenant" which is a bad word. Tenant derides from the word Temporary. Do you want your customers to feel Temporary? Yeah, good luck getting storEDGE to change it. Any really awesome idea that you have, throw it out the window. Storable knows they won the lottery with adding storEDGE to their back pocket. The problem is they refuse to make awesome changes and for this reason they will one day be replaced or become outdated. I have some really good ideas and so does others but in Storable's mind they think they are like the Bible. "You can't add or take away from perfection" and anyone who's read the Bible understands it's not perfect and it's a dang good thing we have additional scripture and personal revelation to guide us through life's perils. storEDGE is Great and dang near Brilliant product but it's number one flaw is they refuse to add great ideas. Get rid of the word Tenant and be open to great ideas from your customers otherwise don't be surprised when another product comes along and kicks you to the curb.

No matter the issue, I am able to call and have someone to walk me through it. There is no need to feel worried or overwhelmed about it because there is answer to EVERY problem...no joke.
Inconvénients
I think our passwords should be able to be displayed when going to settings to change it. I wish that we could edit the entire credit card instead of having to delete/re-enter it in payment methods.

Great Customer Service and Response !!
Overall we have been very happy with StorEDGE and our experience. If I ever have any questions or problems, they are quickly resolved or escalated to the proper department.

Customer feedback is indicating that online move-ins from mobile devices is difficult. Also, editing forms such as adding logos is not as easy as it could be. Automatic notification to past due customers or about policy changes is an essential time-saver for our small facility with one employee and would like this to work more easily. Rate change notices in particular is not reliable.

Returning security deposits back to the credit card that was used to rent the storage unit in the first place can be better.

We have had a good experience with Storedge and takes a lot of guess work out of managing a Facility.

One stop software. Handles everything but the gate and in that aspect it communicates well with the software for the gate.

I like the functionality, the quick responsiveness, and the easy access to reports.Everything is easy to access and easy to find.
Inconvénients
I would like to be able to put problem tenants on a list that anytime their name is put in for a new rental at any store, company-wide, a pop up shows they have a red flag.I also don't like that I can't easily generate a new lease if the original lease was filled out correctly.The wording for removing autopayments is not clear. Am I removing them from being set up for autopay, or am I just removing that payment?

High Quality Self Storage Managment Software
Avantages
storEDGE has everything you need to manage your self storage facility. It also integrates with all the big players in the industry for call centers, online auctions, other rental companies, etc. I love the layout and that it is very user friendly and not complicated to figure out. The automated auction process and mail service makes my life simple.

There have been some bugs, but I know that storEDGE is working hard to improve their software and striving to be the best in the industry.

Best Software out there for storage facilities
This software is very well organized. Finding functions is easy. Once you have used the tabs you can find anything. It keeps track off all past and current clients which makes my job much easier. It keeps very good records when dealing with unhappy customers. All Payments are kept track of and easily accessible. Coming into a job with little training this software was so easy to learn on my own. In the off case of needing assistance the support team is very good at helping and always answers your calls. I have nothing but good things to say about it!!!!

Stiredge allows me to manage my facility alone and virtually. I have no other employees beyond me and with integration to electric gate and website features, I can do it all from 20 miles away

Overall very effective management software, good customization options. Ability to automate many functions like tenant communication, rate management etc. Great integration with website.

Occasional glitches in many parts of the software, billing, tenant communication etc. As the company grew the support staff was overwhelmed and under-trained at times. Issues took longer than anticipated to resolve.

Great Software - Great Support!
After extensive searching for a software to help automate and organize our storage facility, I finally choose StoreEdge. Our facility is a bit non conventional in that we have a warehouse and storage vaults, and some customers may have multiple Vaults (units), so adapting the software to our specific needs was a little challenging, but the tech support was great! They helped me through the whole process, showing me ways to adapt the software to meet our needs. I still have issues with the software that are very annoying, but this is directly related to the way we do business and not the software itself. They are constantly doing updates and bug fixes and I have already seen changes and additions to the software that were suggested when we first signed on. The reporting features are good but would like to see more customization in reporting. Overall, I feel we get a great value for the money.

Ease of use, Visually pleasant, Tech support is always available, helpful and pleasant to speak with.
Inconvénients
Reporting - There is not enough customization in reporting. Customer invoicing and statements are a bit confusing when prorating is being done (the daily, prorated rate does not show up, only the regular monthly amount, followed by the prorated TOTAL. It does not show the customer how we came up with that total).

85% of the software works great! The other 15% is little items that should be in place but...
Minimum training time for employees and excellent help when they need it as well as myself. This is our first storage facility and other than a few minor things that are to be expected with any software, it has made keeping track of the facility go very smoothly.
Also, the confirmed delivery and read status of email is great!
Avantages
The dashboard - Makes it easy to look at metrics that matter, like move ins-outs, past due %, etc.
I love the actual layout. It makes it easy to navigate and is not cumbersome like other softwares I demoed. Main categories to the right and specific tabs are always in front of you.
Reports - There a good number of practical reports that you can run to look how the facility is doing.
Inconvénients
Just little things that just aren't there or haven't made it to development yet. For instance, if I click on the easy, accessible button to see a tenant's current statement it does not give me an option to email it to the tenant after the pdf is generated.
I would also like the tenant notes and the unit notes to be more blatant to the user of which one you are using. It makes sense after a while, but I always have to remind my employees that both of them exist.

In the beginning it was a lot of open promises about reporting and changes that were going to be made to the software without avail - however the pace has been picked up and the customer service is amazing
