Started with Chat Now it Does it All

Gist is growing and new features are added monthly and I'm super excited to see what happens next.

The Chat is amazing and great to use. Now I can stop using other email and marketing platforms because Gist does it all.

Gist needs to add more pre design elements such at email and forms are built and design for different campaigns.

Gist is my favorite marketing automation platform

I've been able to convert trial users into paying customers with no extra effort on my part, and follow up on shopping cart abandonment to boost customer lifetime value quickly and painlessly.

Avantages

Easy to use after getting over the initial learning curve (it's got a lot of advanced features so it may take a bit of messing with everything to get the *Gist* of things - but well worth the effort). Makes marketing automation more precise and effective with minimal extra work or effort.

Inconvénients

Not much, as mentioned in the Pros there's a bit of a learning curve but once you've gotten the hang of things it's a smooth experience.

Valuable Part of Our Stack

We use Gist to communicate with our customers in real time and are very happy with it.

Avantages

What I like most about Gist is that it's easy to use. I pasted some code on my site and now the conversation bubble is active. I really appreciate how I can customize which pages it appears on.

Inconvénients

I would like a few more of the features available in the mobile app, but I understand that that would be hard to implement. The app does a great job at making the chat available to me everywhere.

Ambitious All-In-One Marketing Solution with great focus on Customer Engagement

Our main use of Gist is for customer support via the Live Chat functionality on our corporate website. This was the strongest selling point when they released the service and still is the main reason we use it. It also functions as a lightweight CRM and has many lead generation tools.

Avantages

1. LiveChat is great, it even supports many languages, which is very handy if you're website visitors are not native english speakers.
2. The CRM module offers basic information about your visitors, which helps in crafting your audience segmentation.
3. It has integrated email campaigns. This wasn't extensively tested by us, but it'll be perfect for mid-sized audience with just a few thousand subscribers.

Inconvénients

1. Email editor could use some improvements.
2. Would be nice to have a more robust CRM module.

Easy to use; Time saver

As a Digital Marketer and Customer Success Manager, I love it when a platform replaces multiple tools - it helps me to keep things organized by focusing on that matter the most. I use it daily for live chat, email marketing automation.

I do feel the need for modern email templates, or at least the possibility to personalize multiple items from the existing templates.

Gist is really neat!

Avantages

I love Gist. That I get a really neat chatbot and insights into visitors on my site has been useful and eye opening. And then there's the email marketing. I am now actually sending out emails to a list which I hadn't done regularly before when using other solutions.

Inconvénients

I've been a little confused about flowing subscribers from one list to another but I just have to spend more time in the tutorials.

Recommend Gist for Automation Marketing

I look around to find the "personalize Chat Prompts" feature a long time and I found it on Gist.
I have more messages from my visitor when I use them.
It helps me build a relationship with my visitors.

Gist didn't run chatbot on the Facebook platform.

Great Customer Service

My overall experience with Gist is great! The service is what keeps me as their loyal customer.

Gist is an All-In-One solution for the needs behind a website

I was looking for a solution for the backend scripts behind our website, mailings. I was one of the first adopters of the system. My goal was to have a good reason not to do it ourselves or stay behind trends. The team of Gist kept delivering more value with more features. They became an inspiration on marketing tools and practice. For example I discovered the liveview feature, now I'm thinking how to use it for better understanding of our audience.

Gist is not what it's made out to be

I was looking for a "helpdesk" solution with near time chat from our website.

Avantages

I like the ability to see each page a user has visited on our website and I like being able to reply to customers in near real time.

Inconvénients

It's very un-intuitive and it is too easy to accidentally change or delete data if you click on the wrong icon. What I find most dismaying is there is no way to cancel the account. Once you are signed up, you held hostage. You cannot cancel from the account page nor the subscription page. There is no way to reach someone live and they do not reply to email.

Inconvénients

I do not dislike anything. GIST has a LOT of functions and it's not always so easy to understand which tool to use for a specific goal. They have many article and videos, but I would suggest to add more documentation for advanced functions and scenarios. The support team is always available and ready to help though.

Nice tool to work with

I can chat with customer if i want to, also i can shut it down very easy. But my main goal is for getting leads and then email the customers for sales

Great for bloggers

It's been great - it's matured into a beautiful tool with a ton of functionality. As someone who runs a blog, it solves multiple pain points for me.

Avantages

Their live chat is top notch, but I've recently been using their Twitter chats integrations - which is quite good. Drip emails also looking good. UI is easy. Support team's available quickly so I like that.

Inconvénients

Even though the UI is easy, some times I'm struggling to find the option to perform a certain action.

Poor customer support that don't really give you any support

Have not really been able to get it working and I have a free lifetime plan. But, that is normally how things go. If it is cheap then it normally is not worth you time.

Avantages

The most useful part about Gist is that I don't need to use it since there are many other systems out there that offers what they do.

It is not easy to get started and their support leaves a lot to wish for.

Its come a long way - a really solid product now

Really great overall experience with the company and they seem genuinely interested in the feedback they receiver from their users.

Avantages

I have been a account holder since Gist earlier days when it was known as Convertfox. It has come a long way since then. There are some serious competitors in this space, but Gist is on its way to the top of the list. Heres just a few things that I love about Gist:
- They have been adding features at a rapid pace over the past year.
- The new visual workflow tool is really impressive.
- Auto capture - so you have contact data added to your contacts.
- Webhooks + Zapier access!
- They now have remade template workflows. Huge timesaver.
- Very affordable. You will not find a better product in their pricing range.

Inconvénients

Overall I’m very pleased with Gist. My main complaint is the lack of a basic CRM. This feature is on the roadmap, but has yet to be delivered. I’m going it will launch in 2020.

Exceptional service from Gist

Avantages

The fact that it combines all the features I was already using on different platforms into one is what I like most about Gist. Email marketing, Social Media connect with customers, contact forms, and live chat all-in-one is the big feature I like most.

Inconvénients

Everything is great about Gist. One area to improve would be to work with Ticket Tailor in collecting emails from customers who have made a purchase.

Better than the Competition!

Gist saves my time

Avantages

I like that it is very simple to use and intuitive. I didn't have to struggle with learning an outdated website.

Inconvénients

The loading time. Sometimes, the platform would take seconds, other minutes, other times it doesn't load at times.

Gist - turn users into paying customers

I've been using Convert Fox since day one, then rebranded as Gist, I can say that Jitta and the team have placed an amazing effort in this platform which is growing fast adding new features and capabilities.

Avantages

Easy to install use, the possibility of tagging users, creating a drip campaign, integration with other software.

Inconvénients

My only complaint is the missing ability to easily create forms.

Great Client Acquisition and Management Tool

Keeping in mind the experiences I have had with tools similar to Gist, Gist is highly polished, easy to use, and quite simply... works. My support experiences with Gist have always been quick and painless.

Avantages

I love the integration of chat, booking and email marketing (to name a few). Gist allows you to effectively engage with and nurture both clients and potential clients. This is extremely helpful to have all in one place.

Inconvénients

I would love to see more customization options for booking (colors, images, fonts, etc.).

Inconvénients

Hate that some of the features don’t get added to the early adopters plans we purchased, and pushed to upgrade to use the new features to their fullest. When early ltd adopters we’re sold the whole product.

Its a game changer software that automated a lot of my comunication with my current and furute patients .. I´m always recommending this to all of my friends..

As i´m a health professional, it was not easy the learning curve.. it could be a little easier.. but maybe its me ! :D

Sending emails to all of my leads had never been easy before Gist.

Inconvénients

The only thing I wanted was the ability to see the number of active visitors on my site and that too has been added today, so for me, there are no cons at all.

Easy to use and to implement

I'm able to help my users easily, I can see how they get on a specific page where they have a problem.

Avantages

This was really easy to implement : a simple js code and that's it.

Inconvénients

This a a cloud solution that I can't use for some of my clients with restrictive cloud policies.

A nice automation tool with many extras

Avantages

The automation based on website actions is a great feature. Their live chat is fantastic.

Inconvénients

I wish they would have smart tags and base conditional rules on those tags like in Active Campaign but well the quality for the price is more than fair when compared with competitors.

Powerful all-in-one platform for sales and service

Our overall experience using Gist is great. It is helping us a lot with our customer support. Turning our visitors into leads is simply awesome.

Avantages

The live chat customer support is such a great tool. It was also very easy to implement the live chat with our WordPress site.

Inconvénients

It was a bit hard to getting started because of all the opportunities the tool provides. Took some time to get a full overview of the tool.

Great experience with Gist

Great experience so far with Gist. I’m sure it will get better with time.

Avantages

All-in-one software for SaaS. You don’t have to pay for different solutions to get things done.

Inconvénients

Messenger functionality is not the best it can be. I liked the way Intercom approached visitor nudging. Gist could get some ideas from them.

Amazing suite of tools - a must for every business owner

We have only scratched the surface of what is possible with Gist - the price of it is a no-brainer for what you get. Features coming all the time.

Avantages

Feature Packed - pretty much does everything you could wish for to help provide great customer service

Inconvénients

Sometimes a little slow to load up - but not very often. I think the tools is developing really well but some features are a little slow to launch
