Best site for low to midlevel jobs
At the end of the day, it's about filling jobs with good candidates quickly and this site has done the job several times over.
Avantages
The feature I like the most about this software is the preview window that allows me to quickly view the resume without having to open the document which is a huge time saver.
Inconvénients
the way the software works brings in a lot of resumes, which is good. Unfortunately, they are not all quality resumes so a lot of time has to be spent filtering thru them.

One of the Better Recruiting Programs
Avantages
This program is quite simple to follow, and the interface is very user-friendly. From a hiring perspective, it provides lots of options, such as filters, for me to utilize a solid search. I found a few employees from here and they've been working out great!

No complaints for my limited experience
Smooth sign-up and correct termination of services afterwards without a single spammy email afterwards. Happy about that!
Avantages
It was very easy to sign up and list a job opening. I found a hire through my personal network soon after, so I did not experience the full hiring process on Ziprecruiter. I was worried about possible spam, but as soon as I unsubscribed and communicated the service was no longer needed, there were zero issues, while other recruiting platforms have made this deliberately complex.
If I need to hire again, I will post on ZipRecruiter again because it was so easy to get started and have my job listing go live.
Inconvénients
No complaints, with the remark that my experience was limited. I just signed up, typed up the job requirements and everything went smoothly.

ZipRecruiter Hired!
Despite several false starts and 'bad' postings, I was able to find my current job through ZipRecruiter and I would encourage others to take the time to sort through the riff-raff, because the chances of finding legitimate postings as opposed to Indeed or CareerBuilder (both of which have a lot of spammy postings) is high.
Avantages
The best thing about this product is how easy it is to get information about a job and post yourself as a person looking for a job. Uploads are easy, it is easy to tag jobs and professions that you are interested in, and its easy to flag jobs that you are not interested in. I like that you can submit your search for different regions, and get realistic results.
Inconvénients
The worst thing is that you cannot separate your searches. If you are like me, where you have a background in one industry but would be willing to change industries it is sometimes harder to get the search algorithm to keep those searches separate. It takes a lot of training and customization to train your platform to understand what jobs to send you, and which you probably aren't qualified for. I also wish that there was better quality control over the types of employers allowed to post on Zip. Several times I responded to an ad looking for someone like me 'an industry switcher looking for entry level X' and ended up with a MLM or some other undesirable company that was not looking for my specific skill set, but more a 'warm body'. This was particularly noticeable when I was looking at staffing recruiting positions or project management positions.

Discover Qualified Candidates for Job Openings
While it's kind of expensive, it's worth it to have it post to multiple job boards and have all apps in one place to review. Sure, you'll get a few spammy ones or have a C-level position that has someone from the local gas station wanting to apply, but we have found ZipRecruiter to be our best asset when hiring.
Avantages
We have always had a great experience with ZipRecruiter and discovering qualified candidates (and not a ton of spammy applicants) in a short amount of time. It's nice that they categorize all of them when reviewing and select ones that fit your specifications/needs.
Inconvénients
When reviewing applicants, it's annoying when you go to add to the clipboard (because it maxes out) and not all of them get added after I spent all that time reviewing them. I have to go back and get some others that didn't get added because I had already selected the maximum amount.

I have used this software for hiring. It is our first go to for posting. Everyone sees this software and they post it to all the major sites. Saved us tons of time!
Inconvénients
I don't actually like the sharing of personal information. We have to be careful about sharing individual data. Although they published it, it may stay on the web forever. I have seen resumes for colleagues......yikes.

Great Platform; Wish We Could Get Better Candidates
Overall, it was a great measure implemented to streamline how we communicate and follow-up with applicants. Pretty good search feature as well.
Avantages
Streamlined the application process with easy to use follow-up features when communicating with applicants.
Inconvénients
Free version won't really filter out the less-qualified candidates. You could tell that a lots of apps were "stock" or had been submitted almost identically as they would have been on monster.com, etc.

Best way to find people, but beware of one-click apply
I found some of my best employees on this program. You can also set some requirements like quizes or questionnaires to get a better idea of your candidate, however don't waste the candidates time wither as these can be very annoying to fill out if it's just fluff information.
Avantages
Ziprecruiter is the cheapest way to find quality people. Easy to use and simple UI, all the work is pretty much done for you
Inconvénients
Ziprecruiter is the cheapest way to find...people not quite fit for the role you're trying to fill. I do suggest not using one-click apply, otherwise your email is going to BLOW UP

I'm comparing this to indeed and all i can say is, USE ZipRecruiter. It is easy to use, easy to access, and everything you need to know about a company before applying is right there on the screen. From personal opinions from previous employees to candidates that have gotten interviews.
Inconvénients
Not a thing. It is easy to use, has useful information and provides a wide range of FAQ as well as important information you'll need to prepare for an interview or just to get an overall impression of the company you're applying for.

Not the greatest but necessary
Overall the app at least is a must have if only for convenience and efficiency sake. It's not always quality job applications but when I'm waiting in line or have a few moments of leisure, it is a nice way to feel like I'm making progress in applying.
Avantages
How easy and quick I can apply to jobs, especially the one click apply. Also, maybe it is because I am in marketing, but I found it easy to find many jobs that suited what I was looking for. The platform, especially the app, makes it easy to apply to work efficiently.
Inconvénients
I didn't like that it felt there were a lot of commission based sales types opportunities. It also felt like some jobs were duplicated and also that there were a lot of old or even expired jobs as well.

Great Platform for Recruiting and Finding Employment
Great experience overall. Will continue to use.
Avantages
Initially, we shied away from job boards when either seeking to hire an employee, or advising our clients about their job search strategy. However, ZipRecruiter successfully changed our mind about this. We now use it for both purposes. The platform is easy to use, has great features and is effective in connecting with both job candidates and employers. The information requested from candidates makes it easy to search for, sort and select the final candidates. Locating employers for our clients is just as easy. Additionally, the tools, information, and coaching ZipRecruiter provides is helpful for both job candidates and employers is very helpful.
Inconvénients
Nothing really. Some of the menus were a little confusing, but repeated use solved this quickly.

Simplicity and easy navigation
Avantages
I like the fact that I can narrow down my search for a specific job position and location by entering a job title and zip code and get a list of available jobs in my area, this has made my life so much easier than going to each website, then scroll down for "job opportunities" and fill in a million questions they have. My favorite part is the part where you can apply for a job right from the list they have provided. ZipRecruiter has helped me gain additional exposure and has totally opened many opportunities and doors for me. I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a job, or hiring.
Inconvénients
The automotive responses from Zip Recruiter's recruitment team seem not realistic. The application process of entering information into limited areas of text boxes or classified fields seems very minimal for a recruiting management system. Overall, the website has changed or the user interface has experienced enhancements that limit the amount of information that can be uploaded or added by an end user. The end user will receive multiple text message or email notifications. Generic messages can be automated as well as forwarded to the candidate or user by Zip Recruiter and not the company's or organizations human resources manager. As a result, the expected results of utilizing Zip Recruiter as a job search resource has been modified drastically, perhaps more web development is on the horizon.

Avantages
I like that it pulls in jobs from various websites so you don't have to go to multiple websites to look for jobs. The location, salary, and benefits of the jobs are also well formatted so they can be easily picked out in a post.
Inconvénients
I don't like that it takes you to a different window when you click on a job. I like to be able to view the job in a panel view so I'm not going back and forth between windows.

Good but could be great
I really like ZipRecruiter. It's super clean and easy to use. Lots of good applicants and the personalization accompanied with the job postings is great for narrowing applicants.
Avantages
I like how easy it is to use. The layout is very simple and it's easy to add jobs and for applicants to apply. It is also very clean and I never get confused as to what jobs I have posted or anything like that. I also like the location feature, which allows the location limitations for applicants.
Inconvénients
It's hard to add certain questions for the applicant to answer while they are filling out the application on ZipRecruiter. Also I don't like that I can't see the applicants before going into the job posting. Sometimes I get confused if I have looked at an applicant before.

Plenty of potential applications but a little pricey
Overall I am not overly thrilled with our experience. For the price we paid I feel that we should have seen more matches. I felt like they couldn't really find anyone so toward the end they just sent us a resume and didn't care if it would be a good match or not. They just wanted to ensure we couldn't receive a refund or at least a discount.
Avantages
There were so many applications submitted all the time so we were very hopeful that we would find some qualified applicants. Setting up your account is easy and they help you with instructions along the way .
Inconvénients
We paid quite a bit of money and the whole time we ran our ad Zip Recruiter only found one application that matched our criteria. I am aware that I need to do my due diligence as well but with some many applications submitted on the site I found it close to impossible to find our trade industry's category, or at least something close to it. The one recommendation we did get from them was nowhere close to matching our business. They applicant didn't have any experience whatsoever in our field.

Overall it functions perfectly, only needs minor cosmetic changes to seem more appealing.

ZipRecruiter is extremely useful when needing to find new help and its pretty easy to use, very easy to pick up for those not familiar.

It could look more appealing, I think it does look a bit dated and that might detour users from choosing ZipRecruiter, but it shouldn't.

Zip and Indeed are on the Same Level
Avantages
Love this site. As a freelancer also looking for a part/full-time position, I enjoy the straightforward, no-nonsense look and workings of ZipRecruiter. I can search for jobs by keyword/title, define my geographic area I'm willing to work, receive messages and notifications regarding my applications and their respective employers. The suggested jobs, based on my past searches and experiences is an incredibly nice touch. In addition to these suggested jobs, the "posted" so so "hours ago" is a great tool to help me get my application in first. Overall, great site.
Inconvénients
In terms of functionality and use of this app, I have no complaints. Nitpicking, the color and design may be a bit dull, leading to a daunting search if you look through the pages long enough. Again, this is a nitpick.

Not too excited, but not negative either. I've just found another platform that I personally like.
I does seem Ziprecruiter has higher paying positions posted.

It's an easy no frills platform that allows the end user to jump to specific jobs with salary requirements.
Inconvénients
I've never gotten much response outside of the regular emails from ZipRecruiter.

Another job search engine to add to your search efforts...
Avantages
I found it helpful that I would receive daily search results based on several keyword searches. Occassionally jobs that did not appear on other job search engines would appear on ZipRecruiter and consequently those turned into interviews.
Inconvénients
Even with a broad set of specific keywords the job match engine would return results that had nothing to do with those keywords or with the industry I was searching in. Occassionally you would see the same stale job postings resurfacing over and over for months at a time.

Great tool for locating potential hires
Excellent. One third of my crew was hired via Zip.
Avantages
Ease of use. They send me the candidates and I sort through them. They can group applicants based on key words or export to excel by qualifications. Definitely a game changer when it comes to hiring.
Inconvénients
I know one of their competitors has the option of tests based on different skill set that we can request they take. I don't have any proven results that they work however I like this idea and hope they implement something like this soon.

It is very beneficial to be able to track the positions applied for and their job descriptions without having to create a separate document.
Avantages
The daily emailed jobs are a good fit for what I am looking for and the notices about any processing of my info, resume, or applications are important for reaching out to, or being prepared for, the possible employer.
Inconvénients
The only frustration that I encounter with ZipRecruiter comes with the suggested positions of possible interest and the similar job links. Too often, when you click on those links, it takes you to the regular job search page - not to the job chosen.

Poor Resume Search Features
It's pretty good for low caliber candidates, generalists. But it's not good for getting pedigree candidates. We have better results with LinkedIn and Indeed.
Avantages
Job postings are easy to do and easy to renew.
Inconvénients
Candidates who submit resumes are usually not a fit and, the ones that ZipRecruiter recommends are even worse. IT's a huge waste of time to go through applications. We have better luck when we search the resume database instead.

I liked the data that it provides and I think its good for statistical studies but not getting people or getting hired on this website

it is kinda being advertised as a job board or that you can hire or get hired on this platform but either its hard to do that as in technical that i couldn't find out or its really bad in this particular thing but i would say it didn't help me at all for finding a job or finding people to work for my company after i found a job in a different way of course no thanks to this app

Packed full of features, but expensive when just looking for one or two hires.
If we needed to regularly hire multiple positions then I think it would be my software of choice.

My experience is that it delivered on every feature that is advertised with immediate results. Very fast
Inconvénients
We got a lot of applications that did not match the position we were looking for. Also when just looking for just one position the cost became prohibitive for the work to list a job. Did not feel the trial period was worth it.

Not my favorite for learning of opportunities
Avantages
I like the concept of it's scoring system of matching candidates with potential opportunities, however I haven't yet seen it play out effectively. To the program's credit, I probably need to tweak my account settings and give it more direction.
Inconvénients
If you are open to opportunities, you'll receive daily updates by email, which is great. However, the emails come through more as a sales pitch or click bait (e.g., 'did you see this $85k position in customer experience?,'and then no listing exists). I prefer other ones like indeed that just give you listings.

Good Resource for Job Searchers!
I got a lot of interviews with ZipRecruiter when I was looking for employment. Now that I am posting jobs to hire, I have found better success with other job pages, personally.
Avantages
I like that I was able to save my resume once, and then was able to submit it customized for many different positions. I loved the one-click apply feature they offer on the Zip Recruiter App!
Inconvénients
A lot of spam- both as a job seeker and also as an employer posting a job, as well.

Best way to find a candidate fast!
Avantages
Lots of people use ZR so it's easy to find qualified candidates fast. Profiles are up to date and the information is easy to sift through.
Inconvénients
I really don't have any criticisms about the product. It does everything I need.

Sometimes goes off base.
Zip recruiter is great for contacting job seekers, but about half the time, we get applicants that have no experience in our field - they don't even claim any - and are as baffled as we are as to why we've been matched.
Overall, it's a decent tool though.
Avantages
Easy to use.
Intuitive interface.
Plenty of criteria to narrow down hiring options.
Easy to contact prospective employees.
Inconvénients
Some applicants are woefully underskilled for the position.

There is a skills section within the job ad which has a matching technology and this field is a very important part of the process, my recommendation would be to add very specific skill words that match the job title so the algorithm will work in your favor.

This product is great and significantly less expensive than the main rivals. Client support is better and my APS naturally transfers all that to the zip recruiters. I use Zip as much as possible for my endeavors

Efficient Way to Find Jobs
Overall positive. I have been using the software for more than 6 months and have received job offers because employers really do post jobs on there and search for candidates through the employer features at their end.
Avantages
The software syncs across devices, a must for professionals who have to use multiple technology devices. I downloaded the mobile app and I can make changes to my account or resume as needed. It saves time and is very easy to see current job listings that I might qualify for.
Inconvénients
The mobile app and website is very time saving. However, this software might be a little too easy to use to send bulk resumes without really stopping to update your resume or change the previous company name on your cover letter. Employers are becoming more aware of these tactics and expect effort. The ZipRecruiter app might make it easy to put in very little effort and not get attention.

Almost like a spam bot
I wish it were better. It has potential but has only left a bad lasting impression on me.
Avantages
I like that you can use it to search for jobs and find company listings like any other job search tool.
Inconvénients
I feel like zip recruiter doesn't do the best job at tailoring jobs to you, i personally never heard back from any jobs found on it and find that i am spammed sometimes in my email with offers that aren't really related to the parameters i've entered.

The number of unqualified and/or irrelevant candidate resumes is astounding and almost a deal breaker

Pretty much perfect ATS
I've been using it ever since I started recruiting and honestly I don't have any reasons to change. It has everything I need to hire quickly and screen the candidates thoroughly.
Avantages
It's great how easy it is to manage job postings, gather info on candidates, and move them throughout the entire process under one ATS.
Inconvénients
It freezes...quite a bit. It doesn't matter your internet speed or computer type, because i've tried them in different variations. It's a small inconvenience so I don't terribly mind.

Gets the job done - but not perfect
ZipRecruiter gave a truly seamless way to list our jobs on multiple platforms simultaneously before that became the norm. Pricing isn't the lowest, but service is valuable and proven

We use Zip recruiter to manage our search's for new employees, I like how the information is presented and makes it easy to screen and assess potential new employee.

We sometimes receive to little information from the candidates we are looking at , not sure if on ZipRecruiter or on the candidates.

Avantages
Lots of candidates and it seems like ZipRecruiter has grown in popularity over the past couple years and has invested in improving the platform and attracting more talent. I might give it another try.
Inconvénients
I used ZipRecruiter a year or two ago for a period of a few months and while we received 100s of candidates, most were not qualified and of those that were, the majority didn’t respond to interview requests or didn’t show up for scheduled interviews.
Also, ZipRecruiter stored my credit card info and another manager from our company inadvertently charged hundreds of dollars to my card for ZipRecruiter postings without my knowledge. I never intended for ZipRecruiter to store my CC info and my fellow manager never intended to charge my card. The interface/communication from ZipRecruiter was not clear for either myself or my fellow manager. I tried to work with ZipRecruiter and my bank to get the charges refunded, but I gave up after several attempts and simply cancelled my credit card to prevent any more unauthorized charges. Very annoyed with the whole situation.

ZipRecruiter has been a helpful tool for us in seeking to fill our open positions. I've recommended it to several friends who are looking for an easier way to manage their recruiting efforts.
Avantages
I like that I can manage all of my postings and applicants from a central source. I also appreciate that once I post on ZipRecruiter, I can also send that posting out to outside sources. It helps to have a "one-stop-shop" for recruiting.
Inconvénients
The mobile application is not the easiest to use. I do tend to get a lot of applications from people who are not even minimally qualified for the position.

Avantages
ZipRecruiter is so easy a cave man could do it! I first heard about this software on a radio ad and thought it was just like all the others (Monster, InDeed, GlassDoor). I soon realized Zip took the process and made it so simple, we were able to beat other companies to the punch. Most of our hires told us that we were the first to contact them once their resume was posted. We love the way you can filter and search specified skills. They also have a neat referral program.
Inconvénients
I don't say this often, but I seriously can't come up with any negatives for this software. It has made our employee search so much easier. It feels like we hired a team of HR specialists that work for us 24/7.

This ATS tool provides an excellent search with recently updated candidate list, which is easy for recruiters to identify the candidates and submit the profiles to the customer in turn around time. I will sure recommend for other staffing firms and recruiters to source profiles in ZipRecruiter.
Inconvénients
The bugs can be rectified. While using the platform gets slowdown on opening the new resumes.

I think it’s a great service that I love using! I
actually found a job from ZipRecruiter. I suggest it to anyone looking. Even if you are not it’s always nice to see what’s out there. I mean come on they send you jobs!! No need to search!
Avantages
I love ZipRecruiter!! This is one of the easiest ways to apply for jobs. First they email and text you potential jobs based on your resume. Then they have the option to one click apply. This service really makes it easy to find jobs! Not to mention you can set up searches for keywords. I would suggest over indeed any day!
Inconvénients
Honestly, it’s hard to think of anything because it’s such a a great resource. I would say lack of jobs in strange fields. The only other thing is that a lot of jobs don’t have salaries. That seems like is more on the employers side.

Good General Recruiting Source and Job Board!
Avantages
If you’ve used any job boards, ZipRecruiter should be a breeze. It is easy to post jobs and works well with our ATS. ZipRecruiter has brand recognition, so a large user base, which means the candidate pool is relatively diverse. It also means that the Resume Database is a valuable resource.
Inconvénients
Because I use an ATS, I don’t get much benefit from applicant tracking/interaction.
It would be nice if the Resume Database uses were renewed annually instead of monthly.
