ZipRecruiter - A Quick Review from an Applicant
My experience is very positive, I got some hits when I had used it to job search (as an applicant, not an employer), but always double check who is contacting you via a cold email. The software & website itself are very straightforward and everyone should give it a shot.
Avantages
ZipRecruiter is easy! That's all there is to say about it. I have used it to apply in the past and it was extremely simple to set up a profile and get the ball rolling. It can nearly automate the whole process for me, which was appreciated when trying to get as many hooks as possible in a short period of time.
Inconvénients
I found the UI used to be lacking, but in the past couple of years it has been updated and feels like a job board should. I have also in the past received spoofed or fake employers who are running a scam, using the ZipRecruiter name and email service. This was very, very far from the norm, but it did occur to me once or twice in a few years of being registered.

Job hunting made a bit easier
I don't currently use ZipRecruiter for my new job but I still check from time to time to see if anything has been posted in my field. I currently do real estate but that's not my forever job so ill defiantly keep using zip to help me find my career job.
Avantages
I do enjoy how easy zip makes it for job hunting. During the pandemic, I was looking for remote jobs and zip was my main source of searching. Its super easy to put in what exactly you are looking for experience, remote work or not etc. There are always plenty of jobs posted even if it's not exactly what you're looking for I found it broadened my horizons.
Inconvénients
I like that zip sends an email telling you jobs that could be possible matches but all I usually get are the ones with the bar half filled in all the time so I'm not sure if I just happen to halfway fit them all or it's just something zip sends when they think its something you may kind of like rather than send nothing at all. I think that is something zip can work on.

Wish it was easier to pinpoint!
Overall I'd say it is a novel knew way to find work using computer technology, but still has a few fix. Especially how rewards versus
Avantages
I like the fact that their infrastructure emails you fairly regularly for jobs that match certain keywords.
Inconvénients
Most of the time the jobs aren't really applicable to the skills or jobs I'm looking for. I can see that the company is saying it will help you look for work, but it still requires more work and tailoring so its the best to use with people looking for working.

Avantages
Not much to talk about. Similar to other job employment services. Some spam in search engine, although the filters can usually notch all the out.
Inconvénients
User Interface is similar to most other platforms. Local candidates are sometimes difficult to identify.

Better than most of the other similar apps
Overall I've been somewhat satisfied with ZipRecruiter. If nothing else it's a good push in the right direction for matching employees to jobs.
Avantages
The best feature by far is the invitations to apply to jobs that match your criteria. You don't have to spend hours pouring over searches to find a match. The matches come to you. There is also the ability to define why a job doesn't match your criteria to improve future searches.
Inconvénients
The matches don't always take all of the criteria into consideration when sending matches. For example if you don't want to commute anymore but you are currently commuting it takes months for the search engine to learn what is "too far away".

Life saver!
Avantages
It makes finding a career a heck of a lot easier! I have applied to 10x more jobs than I had in the past before discovering ZipRecruiter. It also makes it easy to keep track of the places you've applied.
Inconvénients
The only complaint I have is on my app it freezes up sometimes and doesn't save the applications that I have already applied for (very rare!)

Filter The Job Listings More Efficiently
ZipRecruiter is one of my go-to online job boards, but I have preferred InDeed as of recent.
Avantages
The "1-Click Apply" feature is so helpful because it streamlines my application process. I also have been exposed to different subsets of my industries of interest, which informed the way I update my application materials and focused my job search.
Inconvénients
Probably the broad amount of listings. While being exposed to a variety of businesses is a plus, I haven't been able to find listings relevant to my experience level, salary requirements, and goals. Furthermore, there are plenty of listings that claim they offer salary and benefits, but when you look at their description, it turns out they're offering an hourly rate and no benefits. This is more the fault of the hiring managers and talent acquirers, but ZipRecruiter can help by screening listings before they get posted.

Avantages
It connected you with a professional recruiter to help with the job search process. It also gave you the opportunity to have previous co-workers and others review you and your skills.
Inconvénients
It has consistently provided me with job postings that don't reflect my qualifications or experience. I haven't found much success in seeing jobs that apply to me.

ZipRecruiter gets the resumes coming in
Avantages
ZipRecruiter definitely increased the number of resumes I was receiving which was great.
Inconvénients
I didn't love the part where you had to click yes/no for the resumes to determine whether candidates were a fit or not and I also don't think it worked effectively in determining future applications.

ZipRecruiter is the Best Job Search Engine!
My overall experience with ZipRecruiter has been positive. I have had a couple of jobs through them and both jobs have been good paying and rewarding.
Avantages
I like Zip Recruiter because I get fast, updates information on jobs I may be interested in. It seems to weed out the stuff I don’t want such as bogus companies or low paying gigs. I have recommended this site to many many friends.
Inconvénients
There is hardly anything I can write down as far as a con for this site. Very rarely but it does give you job opportunities that does not match your qualifications.

My overall experience with Ziprecruiter is an average one.
Avantages
I like Ziprecruiter because it’s very simple and easy to use. I just have to enter in a few details and the it does the rest for me. I just wait to receive applicants that fit my criteria.
Inconvénients
What I like least about Ziprecruiter is it’s lack of live customer support in a decent amount of time. Sometimes I have to consistently contact them to check status.

ZipRecruiter is great for normal "cookie cutter" positions
ZipRecruiter will speed up and help weed out resumes that quite fit your positions or expectations. But don't depend on them for out of the box positions.
Avantages
The way that candidates are presented to you with all their information being readily available makes this super easy and by far the best hiring platform in my opinion.
Inconvénients
Their algorithm is not exactly the best. If you're looking to fill a position that is out of the box don't expect to get great candidates. We tried hiring for a Repair Artist and all the resumes that were displayed and "suggested" were for Graphic Designers.

Finding right candidates always difficult
Overall we like it, would like to use it more. Design looks great and awesome.

We love ZipRecruiter for posting our job listing all over the internet. They make our life so much easier.
Inconvénients
They need to improve functionality especially integrations. And it seems very expensive than usual. Price only thing that keeps us posting more jobs.

Avantages
You are able to get another job posting up on zip recruiter to cover more possible applicants.
Inconvénients
Honestly the amount of applicants received for my market was basically none. When examining the website I feel that the way job postings are setup and colored on the website make it feel too busy and complicated. Indeed does a better job of simplicity.

Not as good
ZipRecruiter is intended to assist with the delicate filtering system of possible and pending recruits. Unfortunately, nothing short of a human can truly filter and highlight leads for such a purpose. It may help but only the eyes can really handle the task of recruiting.

Popularity. Because this software is popular, there was a lot to choose from.
Inconvénients
Spam. I disliked how often it sent updates and emails. It causes a lot of people to spam the messages sent.

ZipRecruiter isn't my first pick, but not my last.
Like I said, it was good but not great. Not the worst, but also not the best. Definitely give it a try!
Avantages
I liked how it was easier to use than other resume websites we used. This one kept track of our incoming resumes a lot better and we were able to keep track of who's profile was viewed and who was new.
Inconvénients
It was expensive and came with a lot of limitations unless we upgraded and spent even more. Not to name any names, but it was definitely a lot better than another site we use to use that is also mainstream and popular.

Good for finding jobs as long as you don't sign in
Avantages
It's pretty easy to find relevant job postings, especially with the search limiters it has.
Inconvénients
Emails, push notifications, etc. are very annoying and usually completely irrelevant to job listings you are looking for.

ZipRecruiter makes job search less painful
Great! I was able to secure my last job through ZipRecruter and am hoping for the same this time around.
Avantages
The match of the jobs are generally in the area that I am interested in. Rarely do I see jobs in my feed that are a waste of my time.
Inconvénients
On mobile, when I hit the back button enough, it takes me back to my home screen instead of my email or whatever other app I was in previously. Just a minor annoyance more than a con I suppose.

Every time I have used Zip recruiter over the past several years, it has never left me disappointed. They have always been able to meet my expectations and beyond. I absolutely recommend choosing Zip Recruiter.

Sometimes the notifications can seem overwhelming however It was probably me just having a bad day.

The best method of resume organization ever
Avantages
We are able to have all of our departments manage their job postings. We are able to create interview questions and disqualify candidates who are not a right fit before we even see their resumes.
Inconvénients
I wish there was a way to create folders within each job posting so that I could go back and review them based on preset personal parameters.

It's Pretty Good
Overall it's a good company. It definitely gets you connected with all the jobs in your area in your field. But if you are looking for something else or to move on up, then you'll probably have to do the work yourself.
Avantages
It was very easy to get set up with ZipRecruiter. Their process of creating a profile and submitting a resume is very quick. Also the fact that they have an app where you can do everything from tweak your profile to apply for jobs is great.
Inconvénients
I thing the algorithm that reads your resume and work experience is a little broad. Whatever you have on your resume is the only jobs that it will send to you. Don't get me wrong, it sends you lots of job opportunities, but if you've been an admin assistant for years and you want to move up, ZipRecruiter will only send you jobs for admin assistants. Usually entry level ones.

Helpful for finding skilled staff if you know what you are looking for
We had a requirement for a web developer, and needed to find someone urgently. ZipRecruiter was useful, and helped us complete the project on time.
Avantages
I most like that I was quickly able to get in contact with several web developers when we were desperate for a project to be completed.

I was weary of working with recruiters, who added extra costs to our business.

Overall experience is quite okay but it has a lot of room for improvement and make it better for the applicants.
Avantages
I have used it for searching the new opportunities. I like the features of notifications in each stage. It provides you the most updated activities on your application.
Inconvénients
I would live to see some features that other job portal provides. For ex- viewing the total number of applicants would be a nice feature which is missing now.

Avantages
In these times looking for a job can be stressful. Ziprecruiter makes my life easier. It is easy to use from multiple devices, the resume is saved and the system is streamlined for both the employer and job seeker, I can compare this to multiple other platforms any without a doubt this is the best.
Inconvénients
I think there should be a a single format resume

An absolute must for all recruiters. Take advantage of the awesome promotions they run from time to time and you will not be disappointed!
Avantages
Simply put - ease of use! Zip Recruiter really has simplified the search for employers looking for great candidates. In our line of work, there are still only a limited amount of people who pursue additive manufacturing as a profession, and Zip Recruiter has helped tremendously to find the right candidates who will put in the work and build out our vision for the company.
Inconvénients
I initially had some difficulty registering an ad, but after speaking with the customer service team these issues were quickly resolved and I was receiving great candidates in no time at all.

Awesome for job posters/seekers!
It has been a great experience all the way around as both an administrator and a user.
Avantages
I cant say enough good things about this software. I've used it as a job poster and as a job seeker and it's great for both!
Inconvénients
There were a few issues when I first started using it but customer service was happy to help and as the company grew those issues were nonexistent.

system is a little difficult to navigate
Honestly in the future if I need to higher again I will go through Indeed again. Their system is easier, and viewing resume's is easier as well.
Avantages
ease of posting a job! it was easy once you figured out how to navigate the system on how to post a job.
Inconvénients
The system isn't very user friendly. I wish that posting a job was more straight forward. And I did not like the phone calls from the rep as well.

My overall experience has been pretty good for the most part. A plethora of job listings!
Avantages
Zip Recruiter is a really strong site compared to most job searching sites. All jobs are legit and my applications actually go through. Very reliable as well!
Inconvénients
Sometimes there’s old job listings up on the site that are out of date.

ZipRecruiter is helpful
Overall I felt that ZipRecruiter was a helpful resource to find a job and I would use it again.
Avantages
I liked that ZipRecruiter was able to send me information on positions I wanted to apply for and then use that information to recommend new opportunities as they came up. I received multiple interviews during a period of job search and I was able to find a position that fits well with my skillset.
Inconvénients
I found that often a position would be recommended to me that had already been filled. I don't know if that is a problem with the employer or ZipRecruiter but it was difficult at times to trust if a position was really open when I was receiving notices for roles I knew had been filled.

Super easy to sign up and forms make sense as far as order and ability to cover what you want

The candidates that we received resumes to contact also had applied thru indeed.

Usable but meh
It's good, but I don't have much opportunity to explore, because I'm locked out of my account for some reason.
Avantages
There are plenty of job posts and you can always find something appealing, regardless of your industry or specialization.
Inconvénients
I created an account but for some reason couldn't log in no matter what. It kept showing up as wrong password. Even after I had reset my password, the problem persisted. Maybe this is just my own problem. Since I have Indeed and SimplyHired, I switched to them instead.

Avantages
It is free (don't need any mensuality pay) and easy to use, excellent Tranking mode, wonderful notice when workteam was viewed your profile, every time view and Surfing online. I love it.
Inconvénients
I had two cases on two different positions, when pass 3 or 5 views by teamwork on my profile,; which I did'nt recive notification by e-mail. I saw it when I tracking but it not mention it will more times.
I want to see any notice mode, it mains every time ( when pass 3 or 5 times for views by teamwork was viewed your profile at 10 views or more.
On other issue, I saw no all positions mention compensation per year or mention confidential (can mention a rank, if they don't write an specifical number) according to company previous ranks on past to clarify and keep clear it.

Just another portal to use
Good option to use to find the needle in haystack, but not the end all be all.
Avantages
You can upload your resume and have a wide variety of options/jobs to look into. Candidates can be spotty.
Inconvénients
Might not be able to have access to candidates. We have seen better candidates from other sites like Dice, Monster, Linkedin, Indeed, etc.

We liked Zip Recruiter
My overall experience was positive. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Avantages
The ZipRecruiter software was easy to use. All the functions worked well and they gave us a lot of leads to work with for interviewing.
Inconvénients
I don't like that they do not notify you that your month is coming to and end and they keep charging your credit card and then will not remove it later.

We're getting more exposure to better qualified people and we're able to screen them more efficiently.
Avantages
This software is very simple to use. It integrated well with our company email and was super simple to review and manage all the candidates. I have not used it in a while but will certainly use it when needed.

The job alert feature can get a little overwhelming sometimes with too much unqualified applicants but over all i strongly recomend it.

Easy to Use, But No Responses!
Overall, ZipRecruiter has been like the "Great Value" version of LinkedIn. It provides services very similar to LinkedIn but downgraded. However, given that the service is free, has definitely been worth my time. But if I were to recommend a recruiting site to a friend, it wouldn't be ZipRecruiter.
Avantages
I have used ZipRecruiter for a while now and it definitely has been phenomenal for the fact that it is free. I can download it as an app and search for jobs that are in my field. It also sends me messages on new job opportunities and gives me all the information needed to contact the people I need to contact. Needless to say, anyone can find a job that suits them on ZipRecruiter, but not without setbacks.
Inconvénients
Although ZipRecruiter offers a lot of information about jobs and finds jobs that are relevant to me specifically, I just don't find a lot of success with it. I message the people for the jobs I'm interested in, and they don't message me back! I don't know if this is for just me specifically, but I feel like the success rate of actually getting messaged back for a job is a lot higher with other sites like LinkedIn than ZipRecruiter. I think they can improve their site by getting rid of jobs that no longer need employees and manage the site by only showing actual opportunities.

Zip Recruiter - get recruited in a Zip!
I have had an overall positive experience with ZipRecruiter.
Avantages
If you are on the job search and want a succinct, organized job board helping you search by job title, company, salary range, and location, Zip Recruiter will help get you connected and on your way!
Inconvénients
The software could be slightly more organized. I have clicked on job postings before that are listed as active in the search, only for the link to say it's no longer active or lost when I go to click on it. So you have to stay persistent to find something actually available!

User-Friendly App
Avantages
I like ziprecruiter because it is very user-friendly. Whether you are an employer or a job hunter, the application is easy to navigate. The forms are easy to fill in. As an employer who looks for staff, you get vast collections of candidates to choose fro. And as a job hunter, I can say that their posts are always fresh.
Inconvénients
However, some job posts seem to be false or not legit. I hope they can do something about those who post jobs only to direct people to their survey programs. It waste people's time.

Avantages
I like the Ease of Use the most. This software/site allows us to leave notes on candidates and hide seen candidates which is a great tool to when candidates don't qualify.
Inconvénients
The limit space they give for searching resumes. It should be unlimited if your company is paying for the site.

Overall, mine was a positive experience. And, once I was set, it wasn't hard to "stop the flow" of info from their site.

The site made it easy to set up my profile and upload my documentation. And, there were lots of opportunities available!

Well, searching for a job isn't the most fun thing in the world, now is it? But, this site made my quest much, much easier.

A quality job site
Generally very good. Good user experience and friendly customer service people.
Avantages
Zip is a decent service, but tends to be better if you're recruiting for lower paid jobs. We've had gretat success using the platform for retail and hospitality jobs, but less so for senior management jobs.
Inconvénients
Cost - not the cheapest offering in the marketing and I would have thought that with covid and more job seekers on the market, prices might come down.

Too Much Scams and Spams
I would recommend others to stay away and use other platforms like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Lever, and Greenhouse.
Avantages
I have used it both as a recruiter and a job applicant and found the platform easy to navigate. It is extremely easy to post material and to get candidates.
Inconvénients
What I don't like about ZipRecruiter is that there is a lot of fake content or scams. You get lots of no show candidates or on the job seeker side, you may be taking a risk because the job isn't what you initially thought it is.
