We get a lot of unqualified applicants. It's almost too easy for people to apply, which means we have to sift through tons of unqualified candidates.

Efficient and up to date recruiting software for all types of jobs. Up to date with the latest jobs. Sends daily emails for daily jobs.

Inconvénients

The number of emails can get a bit annoying if you do not turn them off.

Relevance. When you search your relevant job, you will get relevant job’s notification in your app as well as you can see pay details about the job on the app

Notification is also appreciated. You can get frequent and on time notification when a relevant job is posted around you.

I liked the availability of jobs shown - it was more obtainable jobs for the everyday person whereas linkedin seemed to be for more professional startup companies and non-entry level jobs.
The job options displayed were for everybody that needs a job.

Not so user friendly on the website although overall it’s a good experience.
LinkedIn seems to be more popular but it would be nice to see ziprecruiter get more popularity.

They offer a wide range of options in different occupational fields, which should appeal to users all across the country.

As someone who works in a job board space, using ZipRecruiter as a means to hire to add to our team has been a huge benefit to us for both quality of applicants as well as a job board that functions similarly to ours in terms of ease of use and accessibility. Whenever placing an ad on ZipRecruiter, I never feel overwhelmed or confused - I simply feel as though I'm using my own site.

Inconvénients

I do wish that Zi Recruiter broke down its type of jobs/industries in more sub-categories. I understand the difficulties that come with being "too granular" but perhaps taking a look at what can be broken down more within larger industries would be helpful.

You can build a profile including your job history and skills that is searchable by the many employers and recruiters who are searching for talent. You can create customized searches and save them and choose to be alerted when new postings meet your criteria.

The interface can appear a bit crowded due to the visual layout, which can add some stress to an already stressful and overwhelming process.

What I like most about ZipRecruiter is that it will match you with the most dependable candidates for your company. When we post a new job to ZipRecruiter we immediately get a slew of qualified candidates. As a web development company, we hire dozens of freelance developers throughout the year to work on short term assignments.

Inconvénients

One thing I dislike about ZipRecruiter is something that is quite manageable. The email list your added to can be quite cumbersome, but it takes less than a minute to remove yourself from the list. Therefore I don't see it as much as a con.

I can search for any job in my city/state or look in differ cities/states.

I don't like that I can't upload more than one resume. Also, don't like that it will not give me a salary result when I ask.

Zip Recruiter is easy to use. I like that you can put in multiple searches and it saves all of them for you. It comes up with different variations of the same search too

I don't like that you get MULTIPLE emails weekly and daily about jobs you have signed up or applied for . I get a little bombarded with those and that there isn't a way to opt out of certain emails.

This particular software is amazing. We have gotten lots of successful hires from this I would recommend this product to anyone.

Easy to navigate & complete necessary info to get started/job posting, make any changes as needed. Customer service/ support for Zip Recruiter has always been quick, polite & proficient.

The cost. Most small businesses, especially in lie of the COVID pandemic are working diligently to adapt and improvise as needed, and keeping overhead costs low is a always a priority. The cost is not significant enough to justify not utilizing the service.

The biggest problem is ZipRecruiter has is the navigation the navigation through the website is horrible there's always ads popping up it'll take you to something else because you thought you clicked on one thing but you actually clicked on the ad

Zip Recruiter makes it really easy to state the kind of job you are looking for and provides great recommendations for that. It allows you to make a search by location, job title, experience, and other factors.

The UI interface is cluttered and is very difficult to use. There are way too many spam recruiters and it feels like when you enter your information, you will get spam calls from lot of fake recruiting agencies. That is a big concern on the webapp.

The quick rate feature makes it easy to filter through candidates. After I found the candidates I want to move forward with, I can easily select all and message at once. I can also save templates to expedite the process.

As a first time user it was very easy to jump in and get everything you needed set up to help your job searches.

One thing I was a bit disappointed with was that once you were set up, it seemed like I wasn't receiving new job postings as quickly as I was hoping. I didn't receive any notifications until days later, which seemed like a disadvantage in a competitive industry. Also, it seemed like they were really trying to up sell their features even after denying them.

This is one of the top hiring platforms, and as someone looking for employment- this would be high on my list of places to search.

As a small business that doesn't want to spend $600/mo on a hiring platform, they were not transparent with pricing, they charged more than agreed upon after the trial ended and it took a very long time to get a refund. It seemed very unprofessional. This is not for Small Businesses

My favorite part of the software is managing the candidates. I have so many resumes come across my desk when a job posting opens, ZipRecruiter gets rid of all the paper resumes and clutter on my desk. It's easy to manage where the candidate is in the hiring process as well.

I feel like we do not get the strongest candidates from ZipRecruiter, although over the past year the candidates that have come through have gotten stronger. It may just be the employee market that is dictating the candidate quality.

I was a user of zip recruiter while I was looking for a job. It took me a while to complete my profile, but I was able to communicate with a couple of employers. I still don't think it is the most popular platform to recruit people

I used this as both a Sales Manager and as a professional looking for work.
Pros as a Manager: Super easy to post job openings, match criteria and post online via different avenues. Loved that I could share the post on social media.
Pros as Someone Seeking Employment: I found zip recruiter posting to be active and reliable. Once my resume was uploaded I would email with jobs that were in my criteria/ I matched with. I received the most callbacks from zip recruiter applications.

You do get A LOT of emails from them, but at the end of the day you can filter notifications.

They sent me a lot of jobs to look over and I really like the fact they have a"check in"feature that ask you did you get a job yet ?.I really liked the way it matched me with the skills I was looking for. The customer service was right on top of everything. questions answered quickly.

a job listing would disappear once I clicked on the icon or I got an error message. It didn't come up all the time but when it did it was not what I needed at that time going through the process.

Not all the jobs that were suggested as a good fit were. There were definitely what appeared to be preferred postings due to ads and promotions. I received way too many emails for repeat postings. It would have been nicer if they combined emails to a single aggregate each day.

Not too many good things to say about this. I appreciate the emails they send thinking they've got a job for me, but usually it's not even in my direct region of California. Nothing too great honestly.

The userface is difficult to overcome, nothing ever comes of their personalized leads, and the emails come about 10 a minute it feels like. Will not be using this service in the near future at all. Sorry Zip.

At a startup I was at, we used ZipRecruiter to post job listings to relevant candidates. As the position I was hiring for was an at-home job, the folks here made it easy to point out how to best get the candidates I needed in a simple to use platform.

The enablement process took way longer than I would have hoped and needed to get further instruction from their service folks, but overall, they were able to help and help us maximize use of the platform.

I think the easy apply feature brings in a lot of irrelevant candidates and most candidates will auto-apply to almost every job we post and they have no skills related, it should be a bit more difficult for a candidate to apply

ZipRecruiter has been a player in the recruiting space for a long time now and they are very aggressive in marketing (cold calling) HR and recruiters to join their platform and do post a lot of jobs - in every industry imaginable. Pricing is comparable to other sites that do close to the same thing. They have a trusted name!

Surprisingly, their employer view has a ton of features. It's like a light applicant tracking system for sponsored jobs where you can contact directly, reassign candidates to other postings, etc.

Inconvénients

Their Employer view can be a bit overwhelming. The page has a lot of colors and buttons - which I'm not a huge fan of.

If you're looking for your next career step/contract or just a new position, you can't go wrong with ZipRecruiter. I use it to find new contracts and to help evaluate my worth, from time to time. When I first signed up, I wasn't sure if this was a good source, or just another one of the many that simply pool resources from other places. It has definitely been the former! ZipRecruiter has an amazing number of positions available.

You do get a lot of emails from them if you don't tailor your preferences properly, so it's not really a sleight on them, just make sure you're specific in your email alerts.

We used the free trial of Zip Recruiter looking for a better and faster way to find qualified applicants to fill our open positions. It was easy to set up posting and is nice that they offer the free trial to give you an idea of what you are getting before you fork over your cash.

We did not find a single qualified applicant using this service. And I had far more unqualified applicants apply for positions anyway regardless of that they did not meet the minimum requirements. We won't be continuing to use it, nor would I recommend it.
