The ability to do everything in one platform.

Inconvénients

Integration is tedious and expensive. It can be very clunky in that its not intuitive and user friendly. It appears the product was created by programmers with not the input of the needs of accountants. Some of the basic statement you would expect to see in any accounting system is not available. You need a full time consultant to be successful which is frustrating.

Avantages

I can honestly say that what I like the most about NetSuite is the ability to customize it to my needs. It works great out of the box, but as time change and department need information in various formats, NetSuite allows me the ability to create custom form, field, and records that I can tailor to directly meet my internal customer demands.

Inconvénients

There is not too much that I do not like about NetSuite. I would have to say that I wish some of the default pages, such as Invoice or Order Approval, provided me a route to customize them.

Building reports was not easy to navigate.

Avantages

It does order costing and advertises itself as a complete ERP system. I've heard it can work well for very large companies with large accounting teams and lots of money to put towards consultants to get it running properly.

Inconvénients

Ease of use- it's like dial up internet from 1990, extremely slow, patchy and missing information. Even data imports take hours on end. You can tell this is just a cash cow product for Oracle that hasn't been updated. Every little thing you need to do takes 5 clicks and the implementation and daily use for a smaller startup is just a nightmare to be honest.

Avantages

I like that the software connects to all our systems - amazon/website/ebay. I like having one system for everything - accounting/inventory management. The system is also very forgiving - any mistakes are easily corrected. I love the flexibility of adding fields to items and customizing needs for business.

Inconvénients

After the initial 3 years with the company where the annual software increases were about 5%, now that we are on year 5, the increase will be 20 to 30% annually hereafter. At this rate, the software will be unaffordable in a few years. Beware of this because it is a big undertaking switching ERP systems and when there is no cap on the fees they can change when you renew, you could find yourself unable to pay for the system and forced to look elsewhere. If you sign up, i would ask for a maximum cap of 5% per year for software increases.

Netsuite was an easy to use platform , I have used it in a variety of companies. Makes it easy to manage your revenue and receivables and also be able to share information with cross teams easily allowing the flow to transfer information easier.

Inconvénients

Overall there wasn't much that I did not like about NetSuite, I think the only thing I would say is when you download a report it can take a bit and you have to make sure to check back on it before you get timed out the system.

Once you learn the ins & outs and caveats with netsuite, you can create just about any kind of operational, management, and finance report, with lots of options for data distribution and visualization. Once you know how it works, it's an excellent tool. It has many data retrieval options as well. So, if you're an excel based organization - it can pull the data directly into excel. Very logical to use and strait forward.

Inconvénients

It has its quirks just like any other reporting system. Takes a LOT of learning to get up and going as an admin, but basic users won't have much problem. I suppose it could be more user friendly.

It has everything you need without customisation out of the box in most cases. No bells and whistles, and a little slow at times, but the core functionalities are all there.

The UI looks outdated and clunky. And some of the menus/set up serious needs an overhaul. But they are stuck as people want it to look the same who have been using it forever...

Avantages

Finding sales order is a breeze. Editing is very easy. The amount of personalization you can setup with the Home Screen to organize cases and even run reports is a breeze. Netsuite is extremely usher friendly and I learned to use it with 1 week of training.

I also love that it Syncs perfect with Shopify. Makes e-commerce a breeze!

Inconvénients

It’s nothing I don’t dislike with that platform. My job doesn’t utilize it too it’s full ability. I wish we were able to do more search by phone number and address.

Terrible documentation. Very difficult to figure out how to do automate anything. Don't think I could figure out how to authenticate to their API to save my life. Their advanced customer support is useless. Everything is an upsell including some things that you would expect to be basic functionality that all businesses need, e.g. Fixed Assets and Revenue Recognition. If you don't need any advanced capabilities, you should stick with a lower end solution.

One of the finest products I have ever come across. It offers a wide range of features like e-commerce, inventory and supply chain management, CRM and financial management. Customer support is prompt and effective. It also has a user-friendly interface, and provides wide range of analytical tools.

Its pricing is on the higher side as compared to its competitors, making it unaffordable for micro and small enterprises. Otherwise, it is a great software.

The best thing which I like about NetSuite is you can literally find any to everything just by writing it on search bar. Not just any particular item you are looking for but also the option or path you are searching. Sometimes I just forget how to reach to the option I am looking for. I just type it in search bar and it gives me the path I can follow to get there or just click the path and it takes you there.

Inconvénients

The most annoying thing which I came to know from my employer is that you have to pay again for the customization if there is an update. We used to have a customized item to insert multiple serial numbers in one go but now I have to do it one by one because the customization went away and we do not want to keep paying for it. Not sure if that is true but it becomes really annoying when I have to put 800 serial numbers and even if I miss one, it doesn't let me save it. It does not even let us save a few numbers. Either it has to be all or zero.

The customer service once you get past implementation doesn't seem to mesh exactly with what we need. We have lots of follow up in areas like "how do you like our ACS service" or "how are you taking advantage of LCS", etc, but when you have any issues with any of those items, they just drop.

What I most liked about Netsuite, is that it is a very robust software and it gives you the assurance that you are working in a suffered that has the complete and verifiable information

I think it is very expensive, and perhaps there should be threshold, and what type of companies should buy this software, because it is not for every company, company can go bankrupt buying this software if It doesn't have enough contribution margin to pay for it.

NetSuite gave us a 3rd party to build software and it’s been 2 years, half a million paid out and no software. We are told we have to pay another 240k to continue but developer cannot get us what we paid for. NetSuite a refuses to help hold data while their software company they referred takes their sweet time building a dysfunctional software. We have 2 week to fork out another Quaryer million or we lose all data for the last 2 years. Total blackmail-
