Avantages

This is the exact product we were looking for. We went from spreadsheets and manually entering PTO on a shared calendar to Vacation Tracker. Easy to set up, integrated with Google Calendar, and cost effective. Our staff can now see their PTO balance by logging in vs. requesting a balance from management.

Inconvénients

Hard to find. We researched several solutions before stumbling across your product on a google search.

Avantages

Slack integration and ease of use when it comes to the basic functions for teams (time off and toil)

Inconvénients

The frigidity of the system. For example, I couldn't switch from email to Slack without customer support. Holidays have to be set, which doesn't work for my team because it's international and we let everyone choose their own holiday, etc

Avantages

It seems relatively easy thus far but we are working with it and learning it.

Inconvénients

Trying to figure out how to add current vacation hours and also start the accrual hours

I like the ability to organize by department and location, prorating leaves for new hires, and the integration with Slack. User's can see each other's leaves in their calendar and it makes things easier for our teams.

Inconvénients

Not being able to view a users prorated total for the year. (Their actual amount instead of their total given for a normal year).
Not being able to automatically block of calendar days (or the option) for full vacation days or holidays.
Holiday leaves should list the users who will be away

- wish I could have some people not need approval (the bosses) but still be able to put their time off in

the automated renewal balance applied instantly to the employees profile and also the sync data to microsoft and google. the calendar is great

I like the ease of use for both the administrator and the user. I enjoy how easily you can customize to your company's particular needs.

It's very easy to use. Both for the user and the administrator. I also really like the fact that emails can be sent to let everyone know who will be out for the week.

I would like to be able to customize hours for employees. Not everyone works an 8 hour day, so to be able to adjust for different hours would be great.

Everything is accessible from our Teams workspace, which is a huge advantage. I can request leaves through the bot and access all leave-related information without logging into another site. Plus, the customer support team is super friendly and always here to help!

While there are no major drawbacks, there are certain functionalities that could be enhanced for improved usability.

The ability to reset time off on individual anniversary dates vs. end of year. Also the ease of use for end users, combined with the accurate tracking of time off.

Inconvénients

It would be nice if I could auto-generate a custom report with a certain timeframe, but the reporting function is easy enough to quickly run a report for payroll.

Vacation Tracker makes it easy for me to manage employees time off requests. The calendar view of all upcoming leaves helps us to forecast how we need to shift work to accommodate for employee time off. We have a unique offering of vacation days so we are happy that vacation tracker allows you to customize per user.

Inconvénients

I entered a new employee into the system and chose to prorate their PTO, unfortuantely I did not mean to select that and when I tried to change it back I was unable to. Thankfully, [sensitive content hidden] at customer service was able to solve my issue in a timely manner with great customer service.

We love using Vacation Tracker because it was super easy to deploy across our full team, and the best part is that it integrates right into Slack. This is a big deal since we all spend most of our day with Slack open, so not having to worry about another app or website is nice. We also love the ability to create custom types of time off, since our company has many different categories of time off that all have different allotments.

My only complaint would be that I wish the Vacation Tracker website was a little bit more robust. Sometimes I find it a little TOO simple. However, I think it's a double edged sword because I really do love the simplicity of its layout.

I enjoy the personalized experience each user gets from Vacation Tracker. Vacation Tracker allows us to manage vacation via Slack and not have to take to our payroll system to manage PTO and other time off.

The GUI - needs to be able to set an alert that relates to company policy. e.g. if an employee applies for 3 weeks leave, but the company policy is 2 weeks leave, they should not be allowed to submit the application

It’s really easy to use, it took our team a week to get used to it. We love the Slack integration and the notifications, they keep our whole team up to date on upcoming leaves. We also really like how you can organize your company into teams with their own notifications and calendar feeds since our team has multiple offices across the world.

Inconvénients

The only thing we’d like to see added to Vacation Tracker is the ability to block our team from being able to request leaves on certain dates. We sometimes have critical deadlines and we don’t allow people to take time off right before the deadlines. It takes us some time to manage this manually so it would be neat to have a feature allowing us to do this automatically.

Avantages

It is easy to use and setup. It is also extremely easy to apply for leave and to check how much you have left. Everything is tracked. It is also great that it is announced who is on leave, so that people understand this.

Inconvénients

The only real thing I didn't like was that you cannot retrospectively add in leave, once you take the leave without tracking it in Vacation tracker, you can't put it in again. Customer support assured me that this would be the case in the future though.
