Jobvite is just great... make it easy to post, promote, share, and apply for jobs. integrates well with business and social media platforms.

Inconvénients

Users need to be wise with their job sharing settings, as to avoid being spammy. More of a user problem though, as Jobvite lets the user have control over this.

Inconvénients

Employees and hiring managers: don't like to use the system (forgetting passwords, Mobile version is very limited)
Recruitment team: not enough flexibility - we had to call the customer support to implement small changes
Employees and hiring managers: not very intuitive interface (if you are not working with the system on a regular basis)
Recruitment team: cannot utilize an interview scheduling functionality
Recruitment team: cannot add LinkedIn profiles with one click

Avantages

I selected Jobvite as our ATS going back to 2015. I selected it back then for a couple reasons: 1) ease of customization without paying hefty professional services fees, and 2) annual contracts. Over time, we bolted on integrations to other apps and service providers, which have proven to be excellent.

Inconvénients

At one point, we purchased the Onboard module, paid for it, and hardly ever heard from anyone ever again. Total implementation fail. I removed it from the next contract renewal, went with a solution through our payroll provider.

Avantages

I like that it's easy to maneuver around the site and that you can interact with coworkers through the "Notes" and "Evaluations" section to give and get feedback instantly.

Inconvénients

When adding a candidate to a new position it doesn't populate the notes and evaluations from the role the candidate previously applied for. You must go to the specific job to look at the feedback as opposed to having all that info under the candidates one profile.

Avantages

I love the UX design - it's easy to learn, training our users has been a breeze. It's also constantly improving.

Inconvénients

The features are still developing in some areas, and it's not quite yet as sophisticated as Taleo /ICIMS/Workday for worldwide implementations.

Avantages

Jobvite has so many platforms available for integration. We currently use Jobvite for our Talent Acquisition team and also for our new hire onboarding. Both of these features have improved our processes. The customer service is also EXCELLENT!

Inconvénients

The system can sometimes be finicky and changes will happen with little to no explanation. Our customer service rep is always able and willing to help resolve the issues, but it would be helpful if they didn't happen in the first place!

It easily integrates with your website/hiring page. Tons of data is available at every step of the process

Inconvénients

Additional charge for api of data. This is ridiculous and silly it is our data we should have easy access to it as part of the main contract. The UX could be much more intuitive and less clunky. No sections are clearly labeled about the functionality they contain

That everything can be done automated and it syncs up with your calendar. You can tailor the fields you want, the dashboard too. I like that fact I can see where in the process a requisition approval is, or an offer approval is and I can send out reminders to the approvers. On the end user (candidate) I like it too because I could see all the companies and jobs I had applied, so I wouldn't apply twice and I had a visual of where my application was.

Inconvénients

I would like that if a candidate applies with the same email address, just like it show all the other positions they have applied too, that the notes maybe show up on all of them.

Avantages

I like quick chat support and flexibility that I can make changes in the process.

Inconvénients

Reporting function is not accurate and I have to use different function in excel to get the consolidated data. Some glitches in the system and I need to refresh the page multiple times to get the result.

Our company recently switched over to Jobvite for their recruiting and interviewing efforts. So far I really like the look of the website, the options and the abillity to hold all communications through this site.

Inconvénients

Jobvite will take a small learning curve to figure out the website, they do offer slide shows on how to use the site but I wanted to see what it was like going in cold turkey with no training. It only took me a few extra clicks to figure it out, but this is a warning.

Avantages

For the price of the system, it's a good option but it would not be my first choice at all.

Lacks metrics, lacks a nice clean, easy to use interface like Greenhouse. Customer support is lack luster. Though for the price, it's a good option

While sourcing passive talents, example an Inmail response from Linkedin - we would only get their phone numbers to speak for an exploratory cal & not their email address...
In such case, adding that candidate to the work flow on Jobvite becomes a little difficult because of not having the email address. Email is mandatory.. If Linkedin profiles can be parsed with some freewares like Improver, etc - that would have been much better!!

Avantages

It is fairly easy to use and navigate and the knowledge base is helpful. I purchased the Engage add-on and this is a very robust tool that I recommend for recruiting!

Inconvénients

Be aware that unless you purchase extended implementation support you are on your own at 8 hours of guided support. Basically a DIY. While it was a struggle, I did finally get through it and launch successfully.

It focuses on the applicants’ and is extremely user friendly. It saved me weeks of time because the social network integration.

It can seem impersonal at times. It is very detailed so it can take some time to feel satisfied that you have done everything.

Like the new dashboard. Would like additional widget to also track hold/draft jobs that I have to use as pipelines with my company so as not to mess up their reporting metrics.

Abhor the fact that my emails come from a "jobvite" name - half my messaging must be done outside of the system. Also would like to be able to use a bcc like may other systems allow from my direct email to put a copy in the JV records for a candidate.
The calendaring is not easy to use/reschedule. Would also like it to grey in an interviewer's calendar so they see it to trigger acceptance and a hold. Needs to give candidate an actual calendar item and not just an email. Would like to be able to choose which timezone it speaks to - constantly overwriting for Central, Eastern, GMT and other zones.

Keep things organized, better than not having an ATS

Inconvénients

Jobvite isn't very user friendly and looks "old." An ATS like Greenhouse is much cleaner and easier to navigate. This ATS has less functionalities than Greenhouse that make it convenient and fast to use. There are a lot more steps to do simple things. Our hiring managers generally do not like it either. Would change to a different ATS if I was in charge of it.

Love that it is easy for my company to track referrals back to me so that when it comes to bonuses for referrals I don't need to bother HR about who I referred etc. Once you get to know the system it is also really easy to send out a referral and they give you lots of different ways to refer (i.e. link, linkedin post, etc.)

Inconvénients

It does take some time to figure out how to send out a job invite to a single job vs. a group of jobs.

Avantages

It's more modern than many ATS and I like the flexibility to build pipeline requisitions. Having a dedicated person in charge of our account is helpful as well.

Inconvénients

I feel like it often had little bugs pop up every other week which we'd have to take time to call and resolve.

It's better than using a spreadsheet to manage your applicants.

Inconvénients

The site goes experiences outages roughly once a month (outside of their scheduled maintenance). I have to open tickets with their support staff weekly, due to glitches in the system. Oftentimes, I have to find my own workaround because their response time is poor or my issues get ignored. We chose an off-the-shelf ATS, because we thought we would save time and money. It really is costing me a lot of time with constant support tickets and workarounds. For the amount that we pay, we are better off building one in-house or contracting it out.

This software takes hiring to the next level. I really enjoy the social application. I can reach applicants where they are, right on their social platform.

Inconvénients

The initial learning curve was a little longer that anticipated.

Report options are difficult to navigate and do not provide the options I need to get specific information. This could be the way my company has it set up, but even my corporate Jobvite person cannot seem to get the reports I need.

We use Jobvite internally for job postings and for referring people to HR. I love how I can easily share job postings across all my social network like Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin. I can even send the link to the job posting through a private message. Jobvite tracks who referred the applicant so HR can easily manage Employee Referral Programs.

Inconvénients

No problems with features as it satisfies the needs of the referral program but it would be great if the interface can be refreshed to make it more lean and modern.

The layout and options are fairly straightforward and allow users to navigate to most all information they need with little distraction.

There are *so* many features that it is sometimes easy to get lost in the maze of options and locations available as you try to sift through the listings and candidates when generically perusing the site (rather than navigating specific to your own listings/candidates, which is very intuitive and well organized).

I love how easy it is to comb through applicants and how it links everyone up to one site where you can easily scroll and share.

I don't like that there's 6+ steps in order for me to "hire" someone on this site and there's multiple users that need to be involved.

As a freelance copywriter, I often find some jobs I apply to that use Jobvite as their application software. Once you set up your profile, contact details and resume / work history, Jobvite stores this for future applications. I believe Jobvite also has a feature for scheduling interviews and an ability to contact and message the recruiter posting the job ad.

Inconvénients

As a user who went to the trouble of setting up my own profile, there isn't too much wrong with this software once you've taken those steps. Fairly simple to use as a user applying to jobs on the Jobvite network.

I like the vast numbers of reports that I can run and how much of it is customizable

Navigating to make adjustments to email templates isn't always intuitive. I also don't like that you can only assign one candidate e-mail template to each "interview type." In an ideal world I'd like to have the ability to select a variety of templates when confirming candidate interviews - like we can for general messages.

Once you get the hang of it the software is pretty good, but it takes awhile to get used to.

I get what you were trying to do. Integrating with LinkedIn was a good idea. Syncing with Google calendars was a good idea.

The previously mentioned functions do not work. When you open a ticket with customer service, nothing happens. buggy and slow. formatting on resumes coming in gets all messed up. Mobile app is not a mobile app.

Jobvite nowadays has become a popular ATS when it comes to Recruitment or Applicant Tracking to Employee Database. Jobvite provides All In One tool from Recruitement to Sourcing to Tracking.

Inconvénients

As an ATS it can do a better job at Applicant Tracking. The pool is good but need regular updation in order to make it useful.

Dashboard functionality is almost non-existent. I have added performance issues running reports. Reports are difficult to create from the sources available to get what you need.

Nice dashboard that tells you your requisition activity. Easy to use and learn. Very customizable but be careful and work with a JV rep to ensure if you customize your workflow that you can report on the different steps. Easy for candidates to apply and review status of application.

Inconvénients

Reporting function is not easy to customize reports. Have to download in Excel to manipulate data. Can't report on reasons you rejected someone or why someone turn down offer. If looking for comprehensive reports may not be the right tool. Customer service responsiveness can be delayed if issue is more challenging and may get different answers on solutions depending on who you ask. Have had issues posting to LinkedIn and has been a couple weeks since the issue arose and still not fixed.
