Works great

Avantages

We have benefited so much from the the scheduling portion. We used to do everything manually (maybe just cause of the nature of the people in the department being more manual) and it has simplified everything. We are much more efficient and everyone is on the same page now!

Inconvénients

It is almost too powerful for the context we are using it in. I have had to train (and retrain) the staff to understand some of the advanced features. Sometimes our techs can't find information that requires digging down to find. All has been great in the end though. Great support during setup as well!

Facilities Management

We manage over 100 buildings and FMX helps us do that. Each of our buildings require different services. We are able to track by building the services and contractors that help us maintain these buildings. If we have an emergency after hours at one of our sites, our management team can log into FMX and find the information needed to get support.

Avantages

We like the ease of setup and the flexibility of the product. In a 3 month time-frame we purchased 5 gas stations with C-stores and 3 car wash buildings. We set these sites up in FMX, loaded equipment, identified what is needed for services at these sites. Created their login's for the employees, trained them on opening up work orders and were ready for business.

Inconvénients

They have improved the reporting functionality but it still needs more work. The information is there but sometime i feel like i am getting too much information. it is my least favorite module,

Couldn't have asked for a better experience

Avantages

FMX has been such a lifesaver for our team. The on boarding process was flawless. We have been able to reach out to our account representative and literally get a response from her within an hour or two. I couldn't ask for better customer service and their product does exactly what we have wanted it to do.

Inconvénients

There have been a couple of instances of not being able to change label names due to programming issues. This is a very minor con but for someone looking for more customization in a piece of software its worth the ask to your account rep before moving forward.

MCA Review

Previously, we did not have real time visibility to work loads at the individual sites. Being cloud based, it allows multiple sites to use it from different locations at the same time, providing visibility of work load to both the main office and the individual sites. Ease of implementation was also important and it went relatively smoothly.

Unable to include a custom field on Maintenance Request page

Best fiscal and operational decision made this year!

I've been in educational facilities management for 30 years and can say that transitioning from other well known school CMMS systems to FMX was the best decision I've made, it's so simple for my end users yet so powerful with a lot of features that other software companies will charge as an additional fee or a custom field.

Avantages

Ease of install, ease of use by faculty and staff, can assign requests to two or more technicians in different departments, avoids scheduling of conflicting events, less expensive than previous CMMS system used on campus with more modules included, support staff is amazing, inventory control, generates reports that aid in staffing decisions, preventive maintenance module is easy to use and track.

Inconvénients

I have not come across any issues that could not be easily resolved by the great support staff at FMX.

Amazing Work Order/Ticketing & Resources/Asset Management Tool

FMX is an excellent option if you are looking to take your facility maintenance protocols from pen and paper or homemade digital formats to a legitimately organized software solution. But even more important is the Support FMX offers. They have literally made system-wide design changes based on suggestions I have made and I am sure I am not the only customer that can say that. They are more committed to the development of their product as it pertains to meeting the customer's needs than any software company I have ever worked with. If you have decided to move in this direction and that FMX meets your technical need I encourage you to stop looking and sign up now.

Love it. Makes my job easier, teachers like it's ease and use it my maintenance and custodial staff find it easy to use as well.

Inconvénients

Some admin functions are a little hard to remember how to use but tech support is so great at walking me through.

FMX at a nonprofit

Getting automated with work orders and moving toward more planned maintenance has been great and well received by staff. Also using to schedule rooms and vehicles as well as inventory - even food inventory for our cafeterias.

Avantages

FMX starts with great customer service from sales thru set up and execution. They have been very flexible in coming up with solutions for our unique operations.

Inconvénients

Only minor inflexibility with some fields.

User Friendly

It has been a good experience

The FMX system is User Friendly. Very simple setup and use.

The system creates a new email instead of updating the current email when a work order is closed out

functional and user friendly - easy implementation

Avantages

It does so many things for this organization, including tracking projects, all aspects of maintenance work orders, transportation requests & tracking, and especially management of schedule requests for efficient utilization of room and space on our campus.

Inconvénients

I find it difficult to locate specific maintenance requests or projects already input in FMX when I go back looking for them after several months. I would also like to have an easier way to input a maintenance request for a work order which requires the same work to be completed in several different buildings.

Does exactly what I need it to do

Avantages

Intuative to set up and use. Was able to set up account and enter all information/equipment easily and start using program to track maintenance right away.

Inconvénients

Nothing to complain about, really. If anything, program has more features than we really need or use.

We have used this for multiple condominium sites and really like the functionality.

Tenant satisfaction and cost tracking

Avantages

The ease of creating work orders and tracking is great. we like that tenants in the buildings can keep track of their requests and we don't have to follow up to close the loop. it saves time and effort and the tenant gets real time information.

Inconvénients

schedule requests form that we customized is sometimes cumbersome but that is more on our end. We will work with you to rectify this shortly.

Great, easy to use software.

Very good. Customer support is top notch.

Avantages

Required no training and very little assistance to get up and running. Has the core features we need and was able to adapt the tool to our workflow.

Inconvénients

The inability to mass edit our data. Would like the ability to switch to a spreadsheet type view with filtering to allow fast editing of large amounts of data.

Avantages

I like how we can make software specific to our companies needs and wants.
There are multiple uses we use FMX for within the company. It is mainly used within the maintenance department but we have multiple uses for it. (which it is supposed to be for)
When we have questions they are quick to assist.

Inconvénients

I don't have an answer, we have not used one product for our needs before.

Overview

Very good experience, very adaptable product with ease of usage.

Avantages

It is very adaptable, also the ease of use for my company. It has proven difficult to find a software that all employees can use easily. This is that software!

Inconvénients

Reporting is not in real time. Reports that are run come from information that is 8 to 12 hours old.

Good resource for management

Good, does what it's supposed to do. Overall it's been helpful at work.

Avantages

FMX is a great way to communicate needs in the office setting. It tracks requests and gives them to the correct person so you don't have to deal with it.

Inconvénients

I've gotten responses to my requests and missed emails, then they just kind of sit there. It would be nice to get reminders.

FMX facilities maintenance software has revolutionized are museum operations team

In June of 2015 our museum operations team (facilities, exhibits, etc.) subscribed to FMX facilities maintenance cloud based software system. Prior to that we did everything by paper and in multiple Excel files. While it was definitely a transition to learn the software and get all the staff on-board with using it, the payoff has been huge. I was able to build the back end (users, buildings, locations, initial equipment upload, etc.) in about two weeks during some evening hours at home. FMX staff helped by allowing us to mass upload many files direct from Excel. The ability to now easily track all of our work orders, equipment, inventory, and then have everything connected via logs has been revolutionary for our institution. We can be on the floor reviewing a gallery and in real time pull up information (pictures, manuals, work log history, videos, web links, vendor contacts, etc.) on our iPads. The examples of how this product has helped us is endless. Another reason we choose this particular software was their easy to use look. When we showed various demos to our staff they often said it seemed intuitive and had a simple modern look that encouraged them to adopt using it. Also, in just the one year we have used them they have made many improvements to the software, some were even requests we submitted directly. The only downside is that they need an app to make using the software faster and easier, right now we use it on iPads and iPhones through the internet browser. We reviewed a lot of software systems in early 2015 prior to choosing FMX, and I'm confident we made the right choice.

Field Trips

Easier to approve work orders and complete them.
easier to enter field trips, approve them and finish them off.
Still in the process of learning reports and other things that FMX can do.
Over all it is working out nicely.

Avantages

It is easier to approved and removes trip once it is finished. Our last one didn't removed old trips, they still show up.

Inconvénients

A lot of wasted space that doesn't need to be on the trip sheet that can't be removed.

Helps with efficiency & communication

Avantages

Having a "one-stop-shop" for all of our facility use, transportation, inventory, and work-orders greatly increases our efficiency and allows for easy communication of tasks and equipment that are required.

Inconvénients

Eventually we would like to incorporate technology into our modules but we currently have a program that meets our needs at a very low price point.

Great way to submit requests for technology and maintenance, response time is much faster now

Faster response times, easy tracking of previous and current requests.

Avantages

When I have an issue, it is a simple task to submit a request. I can then get updates on the progress, message the department, and view previous requests. Has definitely sped up response times.

Inconvénients

I have yet to find anything I dislike about the software. It is a vast improvement over our last request software.

FMX for Preschool Programs

Avantages

We have 11 locations which made it difficult to strategically address needs prior to implementing FMX. Now we are able to coordinate services in multiple areas including maintenance and technology needs through a quick workflow that allows needs to be identified and prioritized easily.

Inconvénients

We haven't identified any areas where the software is lacking.

Love it!

Once you have a basic understanding of the FMX system, it is easy to personalize for your individual needs.

Inconvénients

It is alot of work to gather all of the information correctly for the initial launch! But, if done correctly, well worth it.

it helps us function easily and keeps things in order

this seems like a redundant question

One of the best customer experiences I've had

The customer support is outstanding! Almost every time we ask if something can be done, the answer is "yes"!

Extremely User Friendly

Overall, what makes FMX great is the combination of being affordable, customize-able and with great customer service.

Avantages

The ability to customize almost every access of the software. The custom work request modules fit all of our needs as an organization, and being able to customize the request form is really nice.

Inconvénients

The homepage has a great calendar for viewing upcoming requests, but you're unable to print/export this calendar view. You can export to spreadsheets and PDF's, but it'd be nice to print a calendar.

Awesome Maintenance Management Software

Avantages

FMX allows our many employees to collaborate on one project without having to pow wow. The reporting is top notch. It is very easy to use.

Inconvénients

There is no app, which is very annoying when trying to use out in the field. on your phone you have to open up your web browser and log in on the web.

I serve as Director of Operations and Safety for Wheelersburg Local Schools in southern Ohio. My primary responsibilities include maintenance, operations, facilities support and energy services.

Our school district employees used a variety of tools to manage thousands of scheduled events, countless preventive maintenance tasks, and the usual boat load of maintenance requests that challenged our patience and resolve. While we were able to manage, we really needed a tool that would serve to stream line those functions for ease of use.

We were eager to give FMX a try,and have not regretted our decision. Now, we have all of our necessary functions in one web-based location. Management of assets, supporting scheduled events, and resolving maintenance requests have never been easier.

Training was a breeze, and full implementation of FMX was a reality for us in only a few days. The customer support that we receive is phenomenal, and it is a relief to know that help is only a call or email away.

One of the fringe benefits of this software is that we are saving operating money simply by using FMX. We are able to track and maintain our assets better, we are not wasting time making extra steps to support events, maintenance requests can be taken care of "on the fly", and everybody is on the same page now. No more double-booking spaces, forgotten work tickets, ignored planned maintenance or guessing when to perform procedures. The value of FMX makes this tool a must-have for any Facility Manger!

We have been using FMX for the last 2 years and overall it was not very intuitive. Too much...

It was a favorable product. Except for the resolving of the tickets and filters for reporting.

Avantages

Very secure system. Even though we could not get our staff/users to use the software. Not too much to say wasn't a good fit for us

Inconvénients

Not very intuitive. The user experience was at times challenging. We had a few models that we never got around to use.

Almost there

Overall I am pleased with FMX. If the ios issue got resolved I would be very happy with the software.

Avantages

On computers it is a great product. The calendar is strong and scheduling is easy

Inconvénients

Needs a dedicated ios app. The web based GUI is difficult to use on mobile devices which is what all of our engineers use

Works for us

We are happy with FMX and the support from the FMX team. We are still learning all of the features and are looking forward to using it too it's full potential

Avantages

Compared with other products we looked at, we liked it's simplicity and ease of getting in and using the product without a big learning curve.

Inconvénients

With any new software, there is always a learning curve. While FMX was easier than other products, there is always a training and learning period and FMX is software.

Simplified productivity

Avantages

The software is incredibly easy to use, and the customization is virtually limitless. Our program simply provided FMX an approximation of what we wanted to do, how we wanted to use the software, they plugged all the information in and we were up and running in no time. Before FMX, we averaged about 45-50 work orders and requests per month, with approximately 7-10 of those being unnecessarily submitted. After FMX, we average 75-80 work orders per month, with each being fundamental to the success of our program, and each being completed in a timely fashion. FMX has organized, simplified, and amplified our facilities productivity.

Inconvénients

I guess I will say, the aspect of this product I like least is there is no way to have a running total of expenditures for each physical location that work has been performed on. To specify, although each request does allow the end user to add a total cost per work order, as an administrator, I cannot simply open a specific location and visually see a total amount spent for any given timeframe, e.g., $X/year, or $X/month, etc. Now that I have said this, I must admit, our program has only been using FMX full time for approximately 3 months, and it is very possible that my issue is in fact a non-issue. I simply haven't asked if it can be customized as such. Take this negative comment with a grain of salt.

Highly Recommend Great Product

We have been very satisfied with this product, which we have used almost a year now. It is easy to use, high quality, and has great customer support to help with any questions we do have. We love the ease to add modules suited to our needs. FMX also continues to update their product regularly and make improvements. We have used a couple similar products which do not compare with FMX. We're excited to continue using FMX and see how they continue to adapt their product.

Avantages

Add modules as needed and per needs of user, edit modules and request forms easily, excellent customer support and training

Inconvénients

I would really love recurring dates for Transportation requests, Transportation Module does not seem as up to date as other modules

Great product for a great price. Quick to help in understanding product and improving it.

I received the benefit of having a fluid facility requests process along with tracking equipment purchases, inventory tracking, and vehicle maintenance recording.

Avantages

I like how flexible the software is. The team is always working to improve it as well, and it continues to become better and more flexible. And the team is always available to help me understand and maximize the software's flexibility.

Inconvénients

What I like least about the software is that it cannot do everything that I can imagine. Which is not saying much, because some things that I have imagined trying to do has either eventually been added as a feature or I found a work around.

FMX Review

FMX has helped our maintenance team stay organized. It has made it much easier to assign work to our employees rather than printing out paper.

Portal for all requests

Avantages

Simplifies the various portals into one clean portal where workers can request maintenance, helpdesk, transportation and other types of request that typically use a ticketing system to complete work orders.

Inconvénients

No mobile app at this time. No way to merge duplicate tickets. No shortcuts to manage tickets via email response (ie close a ticket from an email instead of signing into web interface to close the ticket).

FMX isn't just for your Facility Management

Very good product

Avantages

Very easy to learn and navigate. Can easily walk people through it to use.

Inconvénients

Would like to disable the reoccurring weekly schedule feature to only be custom so all requests have exact dates that wouldn't include holidays that we have to go back an take out.

FMX review

It has been a great tool thus far in migrating to an online work order management process.

Avantages

FMX is very flexible, allowing for many different use scenarios. They are continually updating the software with enhancements making it a good long term solution.

Inconvénients

It has so much flexibility that it is sometimes challenging to know all that it can do. That being said, their account managers and support staff are always quick to help guide us in the right direction.

Good product, recommended

Avantages

Best thing about FMX is their support. They've always been able to handle any requests I have. My staff have adapted quickly to using FMX. Overall great.

Inconvénients

Mass change communication preferences for groups of users, although I'm told they're working on that.

love this product!

great customer service! they took the time to understand how we operate and helped us customize some areas so it works for us.

Avantages

Easy to use -- even facilities staff with limited tech skills can use it
mobile device compatible
reporting functions
customizable
ends the endless email back and forth and saves all correspondence about a request right in that request

Inconvénients

the only feature I don't love is the calendar -- we don't really use the calendar function since it's impossible for us to schedule a date for every repair. it's more fluid for us, so we simply use the priority levels and ignore the dates

Great program to overview your facilities

We use it to manage our maintenance and shared party supplies within our organization.

Avantages

It allows information to be input by everyone without making everything go into one calendar that would be overwhelming to see if you don't need to see it all.

Inconvénients

There are so many features and options that it can be cumbersome to use. It requires a lot of admin monitoring to make sure things are placed appropriately.
