This software is very self explanatory and easy to navigate coming from someone who is not tech savy. The proposals you are able to create with this software are extremely on trend, showcase the clients vision, and allows you to showcase pictures of what their inspo is. Pinterest board but on a professional organized level! It also is extremely helpful that it works for you by keeping all recipes and items you are selling into a spreadsheet allowing you to see what you need to purchase, how much, and a breakdown of everything needed for your event planning.

Inconvénients

The only con is that if you leave one page without saving it will delete, so make sure to save each page before leaving to another one.

The only thing that is a thorn in my side is the fee for credit card processing. I know everyone has fees but I think this should be negotiable based on the amount you process through in a year.

I would like to see the ability to adjust the margin on hard good vs flowers vs greens. Right now that does not seem to be possible and I'm adjusting the price on things to force the system to generate the price I want to charge the client. I also would like to be able to use any photo in my proposals without trying to figure out the resolution of each image. I end up with blurry photos that do not look professional and its frustrating.

With Details we can easily create proposals and customize them to our clients. Changes to the templates and individual proposal are easy. Creating recipes is easy as well and just as customizable.

Setting dates and times in the system is clunky. The calendar doesn't come up on the current year so you scroll down for a date if it's in the next year and setting times is a scroll down as well. We also don't like the delivery document as it's hard to read and confirm.

HONTESTLY, the Proposal Generator part of this product line -- is how a PROFESSIONAL florist needs to present themselves to the brides & grooms to be! It is how I keep the design integrity of our conversations, the pricing and quantities of every sign item and how we sign off and professional schedule payments. It makes us look good to prospective customers!

it has the stem counting / costing / ordering features I need with a beautiful proposal and a reasonable price. Customer service is responsive. No surprise up charges like my last software.

Inconvénients

Client relationship management is very limited - I currently use another software in conjunction for this. and Accounting /reporting options are very limited - I also use other software for this as well. Something as simple as a report of where all my leads come from does not work here.

Hands down the proposal generation. It has been a game changer to my business in that all my clients rave about how pleasing it is to look at. They appreciate that each item is broken down by price, that they can see what flowers and greenery will be used in each item and that all the information is in one place, including pricing breakdown, due dates for payments, etc.
I love the stem counter - it helps to ensure I don't over or under buy which ultimately saves me money and increases my profit. I also love the invoice generator and that clients can pay directly from the invoice after the receive it. I used to use Quickbooks before I had Details and it was such a pain and took extra time to have to generate a separate invoice and include all of the information.

Inconvénients

There is a learning curve which take a bit to get used to how everything works, but the online classes, articles and customer support is amazing if you take the time to seek these out. It also takes some time to build out your recipes, but after that, things go pretty quickly when putting a proposal together. Details is implementing new upgrades and changes which has made the software overall easier to navigate in the few years I've had it.

I love how easy it is to build recipes and auto-populate an order. The final proposal that goes out to the client is attractive and looks very personalized which was a "must-have" for me being in a design field. I know they are developing more template options also, so this is exciting. The software feels intuitive and is very easy to understand and use. Each time I produce a proposal it gets easier and easier and I am confident this will save a lot of time. I love how easy building a recipe is; I used to build them at the end before ordering but building them out from the get go will help significantly in the busier months. I am new to the software but so far I am so so impressed and happy I chose Details. The customer service support I've received when figuring out the software has been friendly, attentive and knowledgable.

Inconvénients

There is only space to upload 1 inspiration photo per item; I would love the functionality to add more than one as this is necessary often to communicate design concepts. Also more font and proposal template options but I know that is in the works. Really the only con for me is the limited inspiration images you can upload (I have found some "hacks" to do this....like loading into the "items" photo area where recipe item photos are, but the images are very small and this does not show as well). Currently I am sending an additional PDF to clients if need be, but again, it would be ideal if this was all rolled into the software (or at least I could upload the PDF into the software so all client files are truly in one place).

I absolutely love that the software I was able to streamline my business in so many ways.
The stem counter is priceless and helps me save so much money when I order flowers.
I love being able to see average cost of each stem it helps me price designs accurately maximizing my profit. The invoicing feature makes everything so convenient and easy for my clients to make payments. I can't wait to see all the future features they will be implementing over the next few months and looking forward to being able to sync my calendar with my booked events.

My favorite this about this software is the support team. They are friendly and fast, always willing to help. The proposal templates are very adaptable and very pretty. I love the drag and drop on the recipes -- it's really easy to choose the types of flowers, etc and use them on multiple recipes, and it's very fast to see if you are at or near full bunches.

I wish there was a way to keep the counts and change the flower types out quickly, it's not too bad, but multiple steps. I also would like more reporting options, and a bit more customizing. But it's overall a great product.

Easy use and continued branding. From start to finish everything we present the client is well polished and beautifully presented. On the back of house side. No more guessing on pricing, no more missed stem count, no more under charging, inventory is monitored, recipes for each items means staff will get the designers design right. The beautiful images in every proposal really "wows" the clients. Think a client is a "looksey" vet them first with the estimate portion. If they are pushy give them the executive proposal and keep your design under lock and key.

Making my old recipes find-a-ble. BUT it is only because I have used this for so long turning off and on was an option. Now it is an upgraded enhancement. . When creating a new recipe you have the option of turning this on or off. I just need to take time to find my favs and do it.

I love the overall beauty of the finished proposal and my brides love it too. I love not having to do math in my head anymore, on the fly, with a bride sitting next to me and the pressures on. I can work on the proposals on my time and the software tallies as I go. This keeps my profits up and I can set my prices higher if I'm not sure what I will be charged by my suppliers. It takes the guess work out of everything! There really is no need to meet in person anymore unless the brides choose to.

One update I don't like at all is having to save all the time. This never used to be. It gets old and takes time. If you don't save you lose your changes and you can't leave a page without a save. The software is prompting you to save, even after a save, just when you want to go to another page. This is something they really need to fix. Also no customer support on weekends. I'm busy working 7 days a week so to be down for 2 and a half days is annoying sometimes.

Using this software has saved me so much time, and the more that I use it the more time I am able to save since my past "floral recipes" are saved for future use.

The software produces gorgeous imagery, that makes selling our products and designs easy!

From time to time there are a few tech issues to work out (mainly during "updates"), but to be honest this is the way all businesses seem to operate in today's marketplace. The time saved and the beautiful estimates that you are able to produce make the few tech issues easily tolerated. I'd rather work with software that occasionally updates and attempts to make things easier for their users then one who doesn't try at all.

Details is visually appealing, the layouts are lovely for clients and help organize visual images for the look of each event. The best part is the backend which makes cost-control and ordering a breeze. I can look and see what my overall purchasing cost will be, where I can make adjustments to avoid overbuying of flowers, inventories for rentals, and it puts out a nice, easy-to-follow recipe sheet for the workroom. Definitely designed by a florist and by having it all there (contract, mood board, payment processing) helps me run my small business and the 100+ events that happen each year.

Inconvénients

The one thing I don't like is that it has just a tad too much customization for weddings that make it awkward for corporate or non-profit clients' events. It also took a great deal of time to input all of the components (flowers, prices, items), but once input, not too hard to keep up.

The ability to create recipes and have them translate into an easy stem count order form has saved me a lot of time.

I love that the system tracks payments (I used to use a spreadsheet) and has an integrated cc processing system. It also ensures all your items are correctly added. (I used to use a spreadsheet and had issues with formulas not integrating newly added items. No more mistakes now that I use this system.)

The template gives a professional product to share with my clients. I love the ability to hide sections that I don't feel are necessary, customize images, have the contract terms and financials all integrated into 1 document.

Genius to be able to mail clients a link and have them electronically sign it. Also great to be able to expire the proposal to discourage price shoppers.

Great customer service. Whenever I get stuck, they call me back and are friendly and patient.

Empty pages within the proposal. I would love the ability to hide them. I realize it has to do with automatic page breaks, but it bothers me.

Wish I could adjust contract and payment terms at an individual level. ex: standard terms are great for normal clients, but I have several last minute customers where we need abbreviated payment terms. If I change it at the company level, it changes all my existing and future contracts.

With Details I can easily and quickly create and deliver professional floral design proposals! I'm able to draft, save and then later edit recipes as needed throughout the design process. The software not only has helped to develop and sell my designs by use of the item gallery resource but has helped me to calculate the correct amount for markup, labor, delivery, tax, etc. No more crazy math in complicated spread sheets! I've also noticed that clients are quicker to book when they can digitally sign a contract and submit payments online with the credit card option integrated via Stripe.

I'm not tech savvy so I did need to take the time to become familiar with the program before I felt comfortable. However any bump in the road I came across the customer support that Details provides is so quick to respond and help whether you're learning, need help with an issue, or have a request/feedback! Literally the best customer support team I've ever experienced, hands down! I can call in, schedule a call online, live chat, and email to resolve any issues.

The support is fast and friendly. The main reason for buying this software is the built in flower pricing. It was fairly easy to start using but I think learning this software was probably easier for me because I've used 3 different types of similar software in the past.

I'd like to be able to customize the templates more. I need more space for inspiration photos and would like to make it more on brand with my own font etc. I need to be able to drag and drop photos to make it faster. I need to be able to save PDFs so that I have planner's mood boards etc. at hand. I was expecting more inventory to be in there- there are many flowers that are very typically used that aren't there. The Accent Decor items are old and need to be updated, so they aren't very useful.

I am not a very technical person at all, but I loved the idea and concept of what this program would do for me. We have multiple weddings and events every weekend, and this program helps to keep everything organized so that I can assign tasks, and still be able to design. It took me a little while to understand and implement, but due to the COVID 19 pandemic, I was able to watch their tutorials and webinars, and be able to understand all the great possibilities the program had. Now that I have had a little more time to concentrate on getting the program to where I need it to be and streamlining the technical part of my job, I am eager to get back to work, and see how this will make my job "easier"

Inconvénients

Technology itself is what I like least. I don't know a lot of the "lingo", so for me to get the program to where it needed to be was a challenge. To me, it just seems to time consuming, but the webinars really helped and I feel that I have gotten my program to where I want it to be.

The integration of photos, inspiration, recipe, items gallery have made it much easier for my clients to understand what they are getting for their money without me having to make samples! I also like the customization capabilities, and I can't forget to mention the fabulous customer service and support team from Details!

Having to develop each gallery with my own recipes, items, photos and pricing, it's time consuming! It would be super helpful if your clients had the open to share recipes and post photos into the gallery. A one click "Share" button that would update the the mail details galleries would be terrific; saving everyone a lot of time and creating a more robust selling point for Details.

It seemed more geared towards independent floral designers whereas the other seemed more geared towards retail flower shop owner. Also the graphics and ability to customize, email proposals, create recipes for production purposes, print vendor orders, track payments, etc. It's a comprehensive solution. A bit more expensive that other products, but I'm hopeful it will pay for itself once I get the databases loaded and can use it proficiently and save time and increase my sales.

I like the time is saves me when I have to make adjustments to a proposal--it used to take me FOREVER to re-crunch the numbers for entire recipes, now it is seconds. Also my favorite feature is definitely the order sheet that tells me how much I need of everything. and lastly--being able to print up individual recipes has been a total game-changer when it comes to production time. So easy for my team to pull stems and get to work. LOVE IT!

There is a definite learning curve on using the software and I have made many mistakes--usually it involves forgetting to check a box or entering a quantity improperly. This is definitely user error but it has cost me on occasion. (for instance adding an item to a proposal--but putting that I need 0 of them. So the client is expecting this item, but the price does not reflect the costs involved). I don't find that the software is as intuitive as I would like. But the upside is that the customer service is really excellent... Very responsive, friendly, helpful and good at not making you feel stupid. With time I have learned to use the product and really make it work for me.
