My Favorite things about Details list:
TIME MANAGEMENT- For 17 years, I used an excel spreadsheet to develop each quote. I was not efficient, and quite time consuming. Details software allows you to create a "recipe" by simply dragging and dropping the stems that you would like in each recipe. It's not only great for building the visual quote but you have the capability of pricing each individual stem, so once the recipe is done, your cost and retail price has already been calculated and entered into the stem counter document. It is simply revolutionary. It has saved me many hours through the years that I have been using this program.
Costs Awareness- As I mentioned above, each stem is already priced by you. So once the recipe has been put together, it not only shows you what your cost is, but in a separate column, it shows you what you should be charging based on your mark up. This has FORCED me to see how I was unvalueing my work FOR YEARS. I showed a 12.5% increase in profits in my first year of using DETAILS. That is a HUGE amount of my blood, sweat, and tears that I was simply giving away without even realizing.
Increased sales- This one is very simple. I am constantly being told by my brides that they were so impressed with the professional, detailed quote that they received from me. It makes them feel more confident with my quotes over my fellow competitors that are still doing hand written quotes with no images, and very little detail.

Inconvénients

I have been with Details for approx 3.5 years. I started with them in the beginning and have gone through many painful updates, but I would do it all over again because then end result has seriously IMPROVED THE QUALITY OF MY LIFE! I have been a wedding floral designer for 21 years and this has been wonderful. They have integrated so many functions into this program that I love.

Beautiful proposals, allows you to store your recipes, inspo pics, and update pricing on items. Contract and invoicing integration.

Cost
The item galleries aren’t particularly helpful because there are a ton of common flower types and greenery missing and it takes a lot of time to add them all in manually

It is presented very professionally and nice to see all accounts and stages of booking process.

Lack of good photos available for use instead of me having to upload each one.
Lack of auto-saving capabilities.
Lack of ability to include more than one reference/inspiration photo for a specific item.

Avantages

Details is a very good program that all in one allows you to create stunning proposals, load up recipes and create back end schedules for delivery. It's fabulous having all of it in one place.

Inconvénients

Details is short sighted. It is not really set up for shop work, and yet it lacks in the complexity and variety of events. Not every florist takes only one wedding. Many of us take several. Some of those events are corporate. There is not reflection of that in the program. Not all weddings have a bride and a groom. Not all events have personal flowers. These assumptions make Details look a little simple...

Avantages

I love that my proposal and contract are all in one place. It makes it so easy for my client to sign. The proposal looks nice and is easy for my client to follow.

Inconvénients

Many of the stock photos are pixelated, so I am constantly having to upload my own (which takes more time). When designing the cover page of my proposal, I wish the software allowed you to crop photos because I am spending a lot of time trying to find a photo to fit in the spaces provided

Avantages

I love the organization I get from using Details-I had too many tabs open for each inquiry I was quoting for. Complete Chaos. This helped me gather everything and then send out amazing proposals which I receive constant positive comments about. I actually book more events using Details. I also LOVE the communication and emails I receive with tips and new features.

Inconvénients

Wish there were more template options that didn't cost extra. Also, if there was a way I could have my branding fonts incorporated.

How hard it has been to transition over to it from Honeybook, the loading of initial product and lack of catalogue from suppliers we use.

Avantages

Since implementing this software for proposal generation, we've noted several advantages. It delivers detailed event decor previews, including imagery and clear terms, in a professional layout that reflects our brand. The process is streamlined, with organized and visually appealing proposals. The ability to electronically capture signatures and update payment terms adds to the efficiency. Although the software is primarily designed for floral design, we've successfully adapted its features for our broader event decor services. Exceptional customer support stands out, with every inquiry being handled professionally and swiftly.

Inconvénients

While the software has several strengths, there are areas that need enhancement. The inability to customize the Concept page limits our creative presentation, particularly the 'Floral Design' heading, which we'd prefer to tailor to each event's theme. Adding a Color Palette to this section would significantly benefit the overall visual planning. Another limitation is in client communication; despite the ability to add multiple contacts, we can only send email notifications to the primary contact. This constraint hinders our engagement with all key parties involved in an event like a wedding. Lastly, the cost of integrating payment processing seems prohibitive, potentially affecting the software's overall value proposition

The whole program could be more user friendly.

I feel the customer should be able to e-sign the contact AND pay their retainer on the contract page. I believe we could get that customer to book faster if that was an option.

Its difficult selecting items and finding items, this part seems to take a very long time looking up items. I HATE that the program will automatically delete what you did if you change your screen without saving, you can't go back and forth easy, drives me crazy and waist so much time.

The Event page, the layout. It would be great if it could notify you when a customers is overdue so we can contact them. Its great that we can set the payment reminder in financial but it let say the name appeared in RED if a payment wasn't made, we could take care of it faster.

Avantages

The finished product is absolutely gorgeous and certainly helps clients commit to booking due to it's eye catching proposal package! I also love being able to add our rental inventory and additional items in the item gallery. I do wish it took fewer steps to add items but it's nice to have such a high level of customization.

Inconvénients

Integration with invoicing has been difficult. It also takes many steps to finalize the proposal. On average it takes me three to four hours from start to finish, which can be daunting. I'm sure there are ways to streamline the process. My next step is to search for tutorials to help make this a faster process. Something that would be helpful would be an integrated inquiry format that transferred the inquiry form on our website into a client profile. It seems like many things that could be a one or two click fill in when finalizing the proposal takes many repeated steps. I'm sure I'm not running the software as efficiently as I could be. I'll be looking into that in the future.

This software provides you with a well thought out platform for providing professional proposals for event work. While it's primarily catered toward floral work, It can be used for multiple event types.

Inconvénients

It takes a little bit to figure out the software. That being said, the support provided by the Details staff and willingness to walk along side you to learn is outstanding! The help information is also a fantastic resource!

I love how seamless the process of creating a beautiful and detailed proposal for my clients is, and my ability to create different templates for the variety of clients I have.

The load time when adding in flowers; the search feature for adding blooms.

Love that this cuts so much of my work out by auto pulling from the worksheet and creating the proposal. Before this I could spend hours putting a recipe sheet together and then doing the proposal as well and making sure everything matches with the purchase orders. With this it's all in one and I don't need to go and check everything all the time to make sure the changes went through all my paperwork, if I did it in one spot then the system changes it in all the other spots.

Details makes pricing, recipe creation, planning, inventory management, ordering - all time consuming aspects of the back end of floral designing - super easy! It saves time & money. It is super easy to use. The proposals created by this software have increased my sales, as they are beautiful & professional. They are continually updating and improving features, with excellent communication & customer service.

Inconvénients

It is time consuming to get items input & saved appropriately, but they have been improving this by partnering with industry leaders and providing more items themselves. It would be nice to be able to remove & replace a certain item from all recipes in one worksheet, instead of having to go through and replace the item in each individual recipe.

There are so many things to love about Details software - it's a complete game changer! I love having a place to create and store all of our floral recipes with pictures of our work. We've also received so much great feedback from our clients who have remarked about how our proposal out-shined the rest by far (sometimes even getting us on-the-spot bookings)! And I can't express how much time has been saved with this software...the impact on our productivity is immeasurable! Not too mention, the customer service is 100%! Thank you, Details!!

Inconvénients

The pros definitely outweigh any cons that I have, however there are certain functionality and ease of use issues that can be improved upon. While I love the inspiration gallery, I wish that there was an easy way to sort the gallery...like divided folders of inspiration photos for bouquets vs boutonnieres vs centerpieces, etc... I've also had to troubleshoot issues with clients who were unable to see the proposal on their computers due to lack of compatibility in multiple browsers.

Everything changed for the better when I started using Details. Getting an accurate, beautiful, professional proposal out the door faster, made my life easier. More importantly, it helped create client confidence. I love having everything at my fingertips in one place, and Details does a good job of making you feel like you're part of a 'community' with their additional resources. I can't imagine running my business without it.

Inconvénients

The resources, design board, gallery isn't super intuitive to use, so it takes some time to get used to it. However, Details continues to make updates, and listens to feedback.

Details has been super helpful in many different ways for my company. Not only am I able to present beautiful proposals to my clients but it allows my team members to help with proposals and learn the process of detailed designing. Clients really appreciate visual aspects so this program truly gives us that extra specialty service that our clients love and value.

Inconvénients

I would love to see an option to where you can separate out the grooms portion on the proposal. We like to send them over a separate invoice for the items they handle which is traditionally the bride's bouquet, mother's/grandmother's nosegays and boutonnieres and it would be super helpful if we could do this within the existing proposal. :)
I would also love to see easier search features. Sometimes the florals I am searching in the database will not pull up unless I place it in the search bar exactly how it reads. Happy to explain this if it sounds confusing.

It is easy to use, tracks all our costs accurately, works effectively with multiple users and has made our proposal preparation process easier, prettier and fun!

Nothing. Any time we encounter something we need Details seems to come out with a solution. And their customer support questions is unparalleled.

What features aren't my favorite? I love everything about Details flowers, its easy to use, work through, and clients LOVE their floral proposal layouts.

Inconvénients

I do wish on the worksheet we had a designated area for specifics, favorites, dislikes etc. so that anything super important can be translated from the Rep to the designer during the entire process.
