ACT has continually evolved and developed to help with contact management. I would not change for any other CRM

Avantages

ACT has provided our small business with a way to track and manage our candidates efficiently. 20 years of using the database is priceless

Inconvénients

Very little is a con, when you have an issue, you can suggest an idea or a 3rd party will pick it up

I have used Act! for 20 years and still love it

I have used Act! for 20 years and it has always been what I needed and easy to use! I could not have gotten this far without it.

Avantages

It has always been what I needed to keep my real estate business growing. It constantly has been updated and easy to use.

Inconvénients

The switch to the Cloud was a pain in the ass for me at first but I love it now.

I have to say that without the amazing support team at ACT we would be lost - the assistance and support is the best I have experienced. Always come away with a solution to the challenge you are facing.

Avantages

User friendly and has alot of functions that we still have not hit on

Inconvénients

I don't find there is anything not to like, the functionalities are vast and we as a business have not hit on them by far.

Good CRM , Keeps me in touch with customers

Avantages

[sensitive content hidden] was awesome to work with on getting me to the cloud and understanding what I wanted, he did it all on the technical side , I also commend [sensitive content hidden] on the sales side he was excellent at explaining my options

Inconvénients

I called Enhanced support about 4 other times, and they were ok but really did not understand what I was trying to accomplish (Reason why I called 4 xs ) but once I got [sensitive content hidden] we spoke , He understood and did it while also teaching me

Use it Daily!

I have looked at other products but am used to the ease of ACT so choose not to change.

Avantages

I use ACT for my customer database and storing info about my clients. I use it daily for writing letters or referring to information I keep in the notes. I also use it for printing labels for my newsletters

Inconvénients

It has trouble opening on occasion which makes using it frustrating

One person operation-great. Enterprise unknown.

Dismal-frustrating-complete waste of our team time watching videos that showed features only available to $$$$ pricing. I NEVER buy annual commitments on unknown software but in a moment of 'getting the job done' I did it here.

Avantages

Familiar from days gone past.

Inconvénients

The marketing is limited for larger-scale campaigns. To their credit, they did reach out and offer very well-crafted training.

Excellent. I've been using ACT for over 20 years.

Avantages

Simple, easy to use. In the cloud and backed up so I can pull it up on any device.

Inconvénients

Sometimes it doesn't want to change company names when you are doing a search.

Customer Support 5*

Avantages

As a company who deals with a LOT of different third party vendors, I can genuinely say the customer support at ACT was absolutely top notch and couldnt fault them. Went out of their way to solve the problem we had after a powercut and even though it turned out to be a complicated job they were professional at all times, knowledgeable and efficient.

I do not have anything bad to say about ACT!

Act!

ACT! is a near perfect solution. It's a pleasure to use.

Avantages

ACT! is the best CRM available and has stood the test of decades. No other CRM comes close. It's report structure is unmatched as is the customizable features. ALSO - exporting and backup are relatively easy to use. It has a very nice user-intuitive interface.

Inconvénients

ACT! is no longer available as a purchasable software but only as a subscription. Also the syncing of clients from email would be nice as well as better syncing between email client and ACT!

Amazing Software that has help me accelerate my business

Overall, I have been able to track and provide my sales and marketing success to my owners. It's important to measure your success and Act! has made it simple and easy to use.

Avantages

I enjoy having task and opportunity options. It makes me organized and I can manage my time. I love marketing automation as it's difficult to reach out to hundreds of contacts at a time.

Inconvénients

I would like to change the colors of the program. The blue and white are a little too overwhelming for my eyes. I would like "Dark Mode" if that would be possible.

Very good Sales software

Very good, we use it daily and it really helps us do our job of sales and shipping.

I have been using ACT for 20+ years and like it.

Inconvénients

When it went into the cloud, pros and cons. pros were backup, ease of accessibility, but cons are we get booted off several times a day and need to sign back on.

Great product with room for improvement

I have been using Act for almost 10 years. It's a quality product for the price point. Good customer service, highly responsive.

Avantages

I like that they created a cloud version for people on the go.

Inconvénients

The over design or look of the desktop version is old and kind of dated. It can be updated if I choose to. But that will take time. A larger selection of templates would be excellent.

Very helpful team

Avantages

Luke helped me throughout the process, offering rapid replies & answering any queries. I felt he went above and beyond by creating videos himself to show me how to use certain features around ACT that I was not sure on.

Inconvénients

It can sometimes be slow to load up ACT when first opening.

A Must Have

I could not function without ACT daily.

Avantages

90% of it, there seems to be some glitches with the new version but the rest is wonderful

Years worth of notes seem to be missing

finance department Not responsive when there was a billing issue. However the Customer Service Representative was excellent and helped me resolve the issue to get back up and running. She was very customer-focused and thought out of the box to create a solution.

Easy tool

Only had the change to use free trial, integrated with Sage 360 as it is owned by Sage. Created a few marketing automation and went live as well, got great results, it had potential. Used its app also to track progress and results.

Avantages

Mostly used Act's features of contact management and marketing automation in CRM, it has a feature that brings together all of the customer data into a centralized database. Using automation tool is so easy and helps you track every steps.

Inconvénients

Not so many features but the essential features are enough to get what is really needed. The support for the product has ended.

Magical Act !

My experience with Act has been wonderful. This software is a real gift, a real treat. It's so fantastic how it allows me to automate my business. Very easy to use, I can easily retrieve information on customers; I also have a history of my mails, calls and letters.

Avantages

I like this software. Being able to improve my communication, increase my sales and ensure the loyalty of my customers is so magical! And the ease of remote tasks is just incredible. And to think it's so easy to use!

Inconvénients

Nothing to complain about! This software works like a charm and is easy to use.

Initial review of ACT!

So far it has been a very good experience. The initial onboarding phone support call was extremely helpful. My technical support person ([sensitive content hidden]) was great. Very helpful, patient and easy to work with.

Avantages

I like the pricing, structure and options of the ACT! program.

Inconvénients

It can be somewhat challenging to set up (as I'm sure is the case for many system) if you are not too computer savvy, however the support has been excellent thus far (I am just starting the implementation of the system).

Great Sales tool

Avantages

Great tool for sales departments! I like the address book feature for additions and lead notes.

Inconvénients

The price per user is pretty high. Not worth having more than 1 user if you aren't using it everyday.

Act Review

Avantages

The fact that it is simple to use and that the costs are much better than sugarCRM, i also liked that [sensitive content hidden] who was out sales advisor was fantastic, nothing has ever been to much bother for him and even after completing our purchase he is still available to help.

Inconvénients

Can be a little slow and clunky at times.

Onboarding

Great! It is a reasonably priced CRM system with less of the complications of some and an ability to use it for more in-depth marketing where needed.

Avantages

Ease of set up and loading of new and database contacts.

Inconvénients

Limited use for variable products to match them to contacts.

Avantages

I’ve used the old Act system for over 12years at a company which is closing. We’re setting up a new company so moving to the current Act system was very familiar. I’ve had the best service & support from [sensitive content hidden] to get all set up and running with ease.

Inconvénients

Nothing springs to mind as we’re not using it to it’s full capacity yet.

Act, Functional for small business but is showing its age

We have deployed and supported ACT for small business customers for many years. It serves basic CRM functionality well enough for very small business, but it is feeling dated compared to other offerings even with the latest webUI. Most of our customers have not taken advantage of the email marketing features, so can't speak to that.

Avantages

Serves basic CRM needs for small business.

Inconvénients

interface feels dated compared to other offerings, it does not feel like a modern CRM. If you're a long time user of ACT, you'll be ok with this, otherwise I don't know that I can recommend ACT to new users.

Avis act!

it is software that allowed me to organize myself and save a lot of time, however it is impossible to change the colors of the program and slow in any type of process, no interface either

Client Management

Overall very happy. Good customer service.

Avantages

Easy of customization for each client. Makes it easy to update a daily basis.

Inconvénients

Has features we would not use. Wish I could pick products we use and eliminate others.

Perfect and a superb sysstems for a busy firm.

The ability to connect with Outlook and keep the history of communication. Create groups for all types of needs with ease

Inconvénients

It is slow - regularly get message that is not reacting". No interface with my Iphone

My Most Important Sales Tool

I utilize ACT's calendar to organize my day and I keep notes in the NOTES section for all communications with the contact. I also use Marketing Automation but just started using it last year.

Avantages

The CRM is easy to use and one can learn how to use it very quickly. Act keeps up with the changing times and provides the tools that a sales person needs to optimize his/her performance. Introduction of Marketing Automation was an added bonus that provides a sales person with more power to find leads

Inconvénients

The pricing has risen over the years to the point that I feel it is now on the high end of the spectrum. I probably utilize only 20 - 25% of all the ACT features; but I'm paying for a software program that can accomplish more than what I need. I started with the original ACT when it first came out (forgot how many years ago) and it had a very attractive price at that time.

Long time user

I use ACT 10 hours a day, but it is clunky.

Avantages

I understand the interface because I have used ACT daily for over 30 years.

Inconvénients

ACT does almost everything poorly. It does not sync with multi-user unless you call support. You cannot move your data out of ACT onto a competitive product. They keep raising the price of support. I have tried all three different mass email programs they have offered over the years, but none of the mass email systems worked. The email system required support from ACT to make them work, and still a major problem. I have used ACT for over 30 years, have 10K contacts, and I cannot leave ACT. If you have not bought ACT, do not. If you are going to work on this everyday, pay the money and go with SalesForce.

I used to love Act!, but now I'm looking for a better product that actually works for me

Avantages

I have been using Act! for decades via its various owners and takeovers. It served me well in sales and marketing, and now I use it to track my legal clients and court hearings, trials, etc.

Inconvénients

It does not work in Windows 11, which came with my new computer. Your Tech Support was no help, telling me simply that Microsoft knows about it and "someday" will have a fix. Meanwhile, with a local technician, I had to roll back to Windows 10 (hundreds of dollars paid), then I had to pay a remote Act! specialist (not your employee) to help to get it to "work" even in Windows 10. It barely works now, freezing up constantly and repeatedly throughout my workday. It is practically useless, but I bear with it until I can find another product that works for me.

Act and your need for a CRM

Without the introduction of a CRM, i doubt we would have had the client retention we have been lucky to have, we had trialed other CRM's, from free online to high cost ones like Goldmine - they all do much the same but our need to a specific way of accessing and manipulating our data left us with Act as the only real option. One option was to have a bespoke system but costs in the region of £100,000 and constant support didnt make much business sense at the time and after seeing similar projects fail at rival companies we think the route we took has been justified

Avantages

Having the ability to scale requirements has helped the business grow without huge outlay. Has the capability to use high end hardware and now has a Cloud based solution so removing the need for costly onsite equipment if required

Inconvénients

As usual costs, the license model has change from perpetual to the per user per year, the Cloud based variant is expensive but comparable to others. The need for a 3rd party module to fully use the software for our needs has increased usability but at a cost, would of been nice to include in subscription

Zoho CRM

Zoho wasnt around at the original decision but was pushed a new Sales Director, after 4 weeks of trying to get 10 client details imported to show proof of use we gave up - no direct import without essential data loss. Goldmine was extensively used by 3 Sales reps, although powerful it didnt meet the requirement we needed at the time, and at the time was 5 times more expensive. The budget wouldnt stretch even if we would get everything we needed from it so Act was chosen

Act is the affordable options

Overall Act has been a strategic software choice for our organization.

Avantages

Act has a lot of the features more expensive CRM’s offer without sacrificing usability or features. It is feature rich and simple to use.

Inconvénients

Act hasn’t had many changes in the last two years. I would like to see more growth for this product.

ACT CRM, Great Starter CRM.

For many years that I did use act I really enjoyed it was a great tool getting used to working with it was very easy for me. we did a lot of customization to the dashboard added some imagery additional fields it was really awesome. We didn't get to the point to using their marketing campaign products but the email templates were really awesome really awesome

Avantages

I really liked the contact management history management email integration and tracking grouping of contacts opportunity groups add opportunity ratings.

Inconvénients

Act is a really great entry level CRM it has some functionality's third party capabilities other products you can purchase from the store but it just doesn't have what it takes to get you over the hill when you get a little bit larger
