Sortly Review

Overall it has been great. The interface is very easy to navigate and to teach. The integrated PO system is awesome but could use more features.

Avantages

I like how user friendly the interface is.

Inconvénients

The only search option for the PO system is by PO number. I would like to be able to sort and search by vendor as well. Searching for a specific item would be extremely helpful as well.

Clean and Intuitive Browser-Based Interface with Easy Navigation and Perfect Search Function

Ease of use, even for older people. My boss uses it with me and he has gotten so used to it that he doesn't want to stop it. Even with another inventory system, we use this as a back up inventory system.

Avantages

Very clean and super easy to navigate user interface. Easy navigation. Perfect search function. Browser based.

Inconvénients

It does what it is supposed to flawlessly, so nothing i didn't like about it. I wish there was a invoicing feature where it is integrated with Shopify directly and able to invoice things on Sortly. Also no integration with Shopify is what i least liked about Sortly.

Sortly, built for speed and reliability

So far, so good. We rely on sortly daily and would be ripping thought shelves and spreadsheets without.

Avantages

I love having the the ability to quickly support my technicans in the field. Having the pulse on your inventory with a click of a button makes this seemless.

Inconvénients

Often times the item is being compltely removed as they team is trying to reduce quanitites. Additionally tools like sortly are only as good as the information you give it. If youre moving around inventory and not documenting in sortly it gets very difficult, requires commitment.

Sortly is an amazing inventory management asset!

Sortly is an integral part of our daily workflow in the office and when in the field with clients. It streamlined how we were able to keep track of hundreds of objects and made my job much more efficient. I love being able to print pages of the inventory that are attractively arranged so that I can create presentation binders for clients. I really can't speak highly enough of it. This is the one program that I really couldn't do my job nearly as well without.

Avantages

I'm an interior designer, and we use this to keep track of our client's inventory of furniture, artwork, and objects located in their houses, storage spaces, and at different vendors. I know that it's not what Sortly was designed for, but it works perfectly for it. It's very easy and convenient to be able to pull up the inventory and see what we've placed in different rooms, what needs to be pulled from storage, and what they actually own. It's very easy to add new items as needed. Sortly is indispensable in our day to day workflow and has literally transformed how we're able to interface with clients and manage their items.

Inconvénients

I wish that the option to crop and edit photos was consistent across platforms. I also wish that when there are multiples of an item that are located in different albums that the edits made to one apply to the other. But honestly, it is otherwise pretty close to perfect for our needs.

Sortly Review

Overall pretty good. It's not a system that is regularly used with our product but we're making it work.

Avantages

Pretty easy to learn and use. I like that the phone and online version are pretty much synced up every time I go from one to the other.

Inconvénients

Too many restrictions on what I can change or do. For example want to make multiple custom roles.

Great Application, but pricing needs work

Overall we love the application and functionality. Disappointed with the pricing structure - this will likely cause us to look for replacement.

Avantages

Ease of use, app-based capabilities, seamless integration between online version and app version.

Inconvénients

Always having to log back in on my app and the scanner at times is too touchy... would pick up other bar codes if they were in area. It should be more pointed. Also, not happy that price increased drastically after our initial offer. We were forced to have a 400% price increase... seemed like a bait and switch sales mentality.

Sortly as an inventory system

Recently the response time on changes when using PC's has slowed down.
It seems to be faster on a phone app.
Easy to set up, easy to customize, access anywhere, all pluses.
Better / easier reporting would be great..
Example, how many of an item have I added / removed in a given time period.

Avantages

Ease of use (intuitive) is at the top of the list.
Access from anywhere.

Inconvénients

For an "Inventory Management" system, some reports are not created in the box that normally would go with this function..
We had the system for a year before there was a report that would indicate items that were actually BELOW indicated quantity level set. (previous reports showed AT or BELOW).
The report still does not indicate the difference between minimum level to actual level. I add a column to the outputted excel report to indicate that difference.
It is these types of items that are surprising to me that are not built in to an inventory system from the start.

A Great all round inventory management app.

Avantages

How easy it was to set up and get going, being able to add photos and prices.

Inconvénients

it's an off the shelf product so wont hit all your buisness needs. quite basic but that is also what is so great about it.

Good Inventory Management System for Offices or Corporate Settings

Sortly is a great management software for offices or corporate settings where specific lot number management is not necessary.

Avantages

Sortly is very easy to use and can easily manage fairly large inventories. There is a mobile app available for phones and tablets that allows you to manage inventory without bar scanners.

Inconvénients

There is no differentiation within Sortly between items of the same type that were received at different times or with different lot numbers, so if you have separate lot numbers, you cannot use their low inventory notification system.

Sortly - yes please

Avantages

Reasonable price (especially during our first year), compact, bar code scanning, reporting. Sortly regularly updates and is open to adding features suggested by customers.

Inconvénients

Inability to report on some custom fields.

Sortly works

Overall I am happy using Sortly. There needs to be an easier method to go back to the previous folder without having to go to the top level folder

Avantages

Adding folders and subfolders and items with in the folders is easy enough. Then we can add relevant information to help us track the data. The search option on folders work great.

Inconvénients

importing asset from a spreadsheet or csv puts everything in forced folders and its a nightmare to move out and fix.

Great product for small/medium size businesses!

I have used Sortly for 2+ years to manage multiple warehouses and projects. It looks like a simple warehouse solution on the surface, but is extremely powerful and a vital tool to my warehouse operation

Avantages

Sortly is easy to use and is constantly improving. It is refreshing to have excellent customer service who listens to the users.

Inconvénients

Not really a con, but I would like to continue to see Sortly evolve to incorporate an ordering system for the customer.

Super Easy

Overall it is a fantastic product for our business to stay on top of inventory and assets.

Easy to track inventory. Easy and fast to look up information. The multiple folders option is very organized.

Giant jump in cost after using for a year or two.

Organizer and time saver for inventory control

We have had a Good experience so far. This has saved us time and frustration in a highly packed warehouse, where several employees need access.

Bravo Designs Sortly Review

It has been very helpful for our company to keep track of inventory and everything else Sortly has to offer.

Avantages

I love the functionality of being able to make multiple folders and sub folders and create so many inventory items and being able to group them/separate them. As well as the bulk import / barcode functions which are daily functions that me and my colleagues use every day.

Inconvénients

The lack of features that facilitate the life of users like me. For example a great feature that i would love for Sortly to implement would be the option to click and drag items or folders into other folders or sub-folders. That would be one of the greatest additions i could think of.

Straightforward and simple to use

It's been an incredibly helpful way for me to take on a rather intimidating project! It has helped me get things organized and I'm excited to continue exploring the different field and tag customizations to take our inventory management to the next level.

Avantages

Sortly has allowed me to set up an inventory system that my company has been needing to help track different pieces in different locations. The folder option helps keep everything organized, and the ability to add photos is a great way for us to easily reference inventory as well as file any condition notes for the team.

Inconvénients

Sometimes the search bar feels a little bit finicky and difficult to navigate. As our inventory uses a numerical system, it sometimes does not "read" this as an identifier.

Great Inventory Management System

It has been great. This is the 3rd inventory management system we used, its inexpensive, easy to setup, and staff are trained in it within 10 minutes. Very flexible program. We were looking at various solutions for inventory, and sortly ended up being the best.

Avantages

We could customise sortly, exactly to our needs, and make changes without having to hire a company to do it.

Inconvénients

I cant find any negatives about it. Ideally we would love an integration into our job management system. So as stock is sold in the job management system, items are deducted in sortly automatically.

Sortly Review from Southern Air of Pineville LA

I've been pleased with Sortly so far. I use it to track the inventory of a large HVAC warehouse and the ease at which data is able to be inputted saves me time I can use for other critical tasks.

Avantages

Easy to use UI. It's simple to move between items, folders, and folders of folders, to find, adjust, and move items as needed.

Inconvénients

This could be somewhere in the settings that I haven't found yet, but prolonged exposure to white screens causes me eye pain, and a dark mode option would be helpful for extended uses.

A Rock Star of a program

A great organizational tool that convinced me and my team that we actually could keep track of everything we have without having to break the bank and spend weeks training....Its actually made us all much more organized as we now have the perfect tool to do just that.

Avantages

Ease of entry and organization . I was creating a structure in a matter of minutes . I have over 2 million dollars of Audio and Video gear to keep track of and this was a perfect fit for our team. Easy is good !

Inconvénients

At first, we needed to have a pick list function which was not available....UNTIL we asked for it and it was created within a 6 month period of time. I was floored.

Sortly for Balloon Decor

It’s been good. Easy to use if a bit tedious for balloon decor.

Avantages

Having it be a visual format is great. It’s easy to use and fast to add new products or move products.

Inconvénients

Price especially the jump between the tiers. I’d love to see a price for like 5,000 more items rather than jumping from 20,000 to unlimited.

Great in moderation

when used by only 1-2 people at a time, very great and streamlined. when more than 2 people would try to use it, there was always at least one issue.

Avantages

very clean interface, easy to use and understand

Inconvénients

the system was not live - if several users tried to update the same thing at once, the numbers would almost always be wrong. this seemed like an issue with the fundamental structure of the program being based on the user's device and not a server which would be updated.

Major enabler for my business

Super positive, we finally know our stock, and adjust to business needs easily and effectively. Stock control is so easy.

Avantages

We know all the items we haven on stock, we add and remove according to our needs. The app is wonderful and all our team collaborates efficiently.

Inconvénients

It is still hard to get reports in pdf, with pictures.
I would like to be able to.semd to my supplier in bulk. At this point we have mainly xls with links for pictures

Inventory Visibility and Ease of Use

As far as day-to-day transaction management and reporting, Sortly is fantastic. We use this as a visibility tool, not the actual management of the inventory, which at our location is done in Access. We've been able to link the two systems so the transactions reflect in Sortly when done in Access. We have users who do not speak English, and Sortly was easy enough for them to pick it up with minimal down-time and instruction. It is a very intuitive, very easy product to use.

Avantages

Very very intuitive software that takes very little time to bring people up to speed on the every day use. All of the basic features and functions you need to help in Inventory Management and Control are there, as well as the reporting features that you need.

Inconvénients

Could use more customizability in terms of what fields are the primary fields, as well as additional customizability for the formats of the actual labels. Would be great to have additional size options, and ability to add and manipulate the actual layout of labels. As well as having other options for barcode labels.

Sortly makes Life easier for any buisness

It has help our warehouse improve dramatically and helped us keep track of inventory and location of items.

Avantages

That we can search through several folders at the same time. Creating barcodes and QR codes and the notes that we can attach to it.

Avantages

Affordability & accessibility is great. Categories are perfect for small retailers & have useful reports.

Mostly happy

For what it has to offer we are using it to the best of our ability and look forward to learning more to get more out of it.

Avantages

It is fairly easy to use and our crew has a pretty quick time making it work for us

Inconvénients

It is very costly and we have the need to set up more permission options and do not see a way to make that happen. We will be contacting Sortly for some needed help on our end and hope it keeps working for us.

Review of Sortly

Avantages

Easy to setup and has a friendly UI. Can be used for general inventory management and tracking. Quite customisable.

Inconvénients

Inventory tracking starts to become untangled when moving quantities of stock across various sites, items don't automatically combine when you might expect them to. There is no incoming inventory system or any hold for items on order but not booked in.

Not For Profit Use of Sortly

Avantages

Easy to set up and use, easy to train others to use, and the amount of features included met our requirements to a high level of quality.

Inconvénients

It is relatively costly for us as a not for profit, but the utility and ease of use definitely made this a worthwhile expense.

Easy to use and great for searches

We have been very happy with Sortly compared to our old system. It has been very helpful in keeping track of our thousand of different items.

Avantages

Sortly makes it easy to add Tags and other locators to easily find items within the system

Inconvénients

Adding permissions of new folders has to be done for each person individually.

Easy to use and versatile

Avantages

I absolutely love the integration of Amazon and eBay and barcode scanning. I like the ease of creating folders and the ability to search by barcode. The reporting is extremely helpful and the ability to download as PDF or Excel make shortly an awesome product

Inconvénients

It's a little pricey for a small startup like myself.

Overall, the gist of it is good, but it can improve

Being able to see and or print Transaction reports

Inconvénients

When other users want to "check out" chemicals it can throw off the inventory when scanning.

It does not update in real-time.

Sortly is Awesome

Sortly has made inventory assessment projects so much easier & I would recommend it to anybody who is looking to get there inventory under control.
Not only would this be of a great help to businesses, but also for personal use to keep track of your valuables.

Avantages

Sortly has made inventory assessments significantly easier to manage & process. Instead of writing everything down on paper & transferring the inventory to an excel sheet, I can simply export it from Sortly straight to the Excel sheet, saving me a lot of time & hassle.

Inconvénients

I found that the camera could use some tweaking & have some more features when it comes to listing data.
I found that, in my particular case, the file name to each photo has a default name that does not compute with a program that I use. It would save me a lot of time & hassle if I could change the "rule" of what each photo is named before exporting into storage.

Super Happy with the product

By far the best customer service I've ever received. Even now after we've used it for several years, the service is still excellent.

We love Sortly!

Overall our experience is really great. It does what we need it to do. There are some parts of the software we do not use. Customer service has been good the few times we have needed to reach out.

Avantages

This is our first inventory management software for our construction and design firm. It was easy to set up. Now we know where each and every item/part is located, in storage, in route or on the job-site. It's really helped make our work more efficient.

Inconvénients

The cost is a little high. We like the software, but it is a large expense for smaller firms.

Simple to use but EXPENSIVE!

Avantages

Simple to use. Can have multiple users. Can track inventory history.

Inconvénients

It is very expensive! We use it for basic inventory (we are not a retail company), so the cost is quite high! The ability to scan a product barcode to get it entered into inventory is nice, however it rarely works to identify the product so we end up having to manually enter most items. Time consuming.

I would give this a "C'

Overall, the product does work, the QR Code feature is nice, constantly re-creating and re-adding inventory is frustrating and effects my data.

Avantages

The scanning feature is nice; QR codes are easy to scan and print. Data is downloadable to Excel files.

Inconvénients

QR code labels are deleted when the quantity reaches zero; these must be recreated and reprinted each time. The basic version does not allow the administrator to prevent users from deleting inventory items. This occurs a lot, which causes me to add the item and amount back and recreate and print the QR code.

BEWARE, Annual Subscription Increases by 250%

Overall our experience has been good until the email we received 11 days prior to our subscription renewal. Sortly did not INITIALLY cost us as much as the other inventory solutions on the market so we overlooked a lot of the downfalls and lack of features. However, I wish we knew the rate had the potential to increase to $2,700 a year for a plan with 3,098 units.

I would recommend saving yourself the trouble and invest your time and money with a company that will grow with you and not increase your subscription at their own discretion.

Avantages

Initial annual plan pricing.

However, 11 days before our annual renewal we received this message, "Sortly plans are being reconfigured based on your number of entries and usage patterns. On your renewal date, your account will be adjusted to the Sortly Enterprise plan, billed at $2,760 USD per year..." from $1,080 we paid for our first year.

We have 3,098 numbers of entries and the plan we have allows for 10,000 numbers of entires. We will not be receiving feature upgrades and after requesting further explanation for the significant rate increase we were told, "We are in the process of reconfiguring our plans." There is no way we could have known we would not qualify for our current plan.

If you are a home staging business Stageforce and StrangeDNA have comparable pricing and many more features in Sorty.

Inconvénients

CAUTION the annual renewal rate is not as advertised!! After one year of use, we received an email stating that our price would increase to $2,750 for the next renewal (we initially paid $1,080 for the first year) for the exact same plan we have now.

The "Ultra Plan" with 10,000 units is currently being advertised as $708 per year. Be careful investing your time and money into this software. Once you have configured your business or needs around this company they could increase your subscription by 250% like they have with us.

Great for small and medium businesses

Avantages

Sortly is great and easy to setup. It does the basics very well and non trained users can use the platform straight away. QR code scanning makes everything a breeze.

Inconvénients

It is lacking some more advance features and it is really for smaller operations. The highest tier is too expensive

Very user friendly and powerfull solution at an affordable price

I love this software, it is easy to install, use and maintain, have lots of features for a small business, and the price, compare to other software alike, it is very affordable.

Sortly: Great for Small business inventory

It had a small learning curb, but there are so many features and capabilities. You can sort, add features, create bar codes, scan bar codes, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Avantages

It is a very cost effective way to manage inventory for a small business, that doesn't quite need the large inventory software that is out there.

Inconvénients

Some of the features are hard to understand for people that aren't savvy with computers.

A must have piece of software for all danceschools

Sortly for Airline Industry

I had been wasting mny time trying to set up a decent system using excel, but it was kind of tedious. I went online and found the program, tried it for a couple of weeks and bought the yearly suscription. So far it has worked like a charm it is very efficient and once you set up the data, it just flows. I already reccommended to a couple of friends as well.

Avantages

Ease of use, it's very user friendly and easy to set up.

Inconvénients

That there are some restrictions on the amount of users. For instance, the difference in price for me to be able to have 3 users is way to high. I would require at least 3 access to the program, I only have 2, but if I wanted 3 the price has a desproportional increase, in my opinion.

Needs expansion

It has been good for what we need it for, for the most part.

Avantages

The construct of Sortly is very simplified which makes it easy to use for novice level users.

Inconvénients

Hard to separate demand projections from transferrable item, needs to be able to interact better with different platforms as well as matching data against different facilities at the same time in a singe mode view.

My Sortly Experience

It helps us daily to remain on track in terms of counts and schedules.

Avantages

As our company continued to grow, we needed an actual program to maintain accuracy. Our inventory control is critical. We rely on Sortly daily when scheduling large orders and manufacturing.

Inconvénients

Overall, we are satisfied. It was easy to use and train other employees to use.
