The only way a startup can manage a global workforce
Remote has been a wonderful tool for us, without which we wouldn't have been able to hire some of our most talented employees from countries we don't have a legal base in.
Avantages
Remote allowed us to reach talent in countries that we otherwise couldn't employ in. We could safely employ across Europe without fear of local nuances in employment and tax law.
Inconvénients
The price per Remote employee can be expensive for smaller teams. If you're only hiring one or two employees, the price represents a significant percentage of the outgoing salaries.

Brilliant support staff and AM - Great platform - very little to fault!
Excellent. From both an employer as well as an employee perspective. Set up was super flawless (again GREAT AM that from day one 3 years ago are still the same people). Super fast help. Same for the Global Payroll module. Loving the new Beta HR advisory function and the cost calculators.
Avantages
Easy to use, very intuitive platform and loads of resources you can tap into. But what makes it THE best platform for me is the very steady (little turnover) Account Management team, Payroll team and the speed and way in which tickets are being handled.
Inconvénients
I would love for us to be able to run all of our entities and EoR via Remote but due to some restrictions with us already using Gusto in the US this is not possible at the moment.

Good Solution
I think Remote is generally a good solution. Over the past 6 months, Ive seen improvements around UI on the platform. There's still opportunity to improve some of their internal ways of operating.

Expectation vs Reality
Haven't loved it. It's an inherited system that I would not have chosen myself, I just think they've scaled too quickly and aren't ready to serve a lot of the countries they're working in. It's cost us so much financially but also in time and energy to rectify issues that could have so easily been avoided in the first place if the correct and relevant information had been available at the start of a hiring relationship.
Avantages
We finally have an account manager who is genuinely helpful and engaged, but spent 2 years with a real lack of support.
They are proactive when you raise an issue and do seem to want to strive for a good resolution for all parties involved, but it takes some real escalation for it to get to that point.
Platform is easy to use as an admin and as an employee.
Inconvénients
Lack of transparency, lack of communication between their internal teams and to us as their client, lack of readily available information on their country explorer pages (then useful info being locked behind a jira login which we were only given access to after a year of having issues with them), their support team is very scripted/basic level support and often doesn't tally at all with the nuances and complexities of hiring across the world. Some countries they are hiring into they are absolutely not geared up to deal with, particularly when it comes to offboarding. e.g. Italy, Norway, Portugal.
Their system is basic, it also doesn't allow for the nuances of obscure PTO requirements. e.g. Norway.
We've had multiple issues with onboarding and offboarding, wrong information being shared with employees and all at a costly expense to us.

Support articles that are country specific, they should continue to build out their library. Nothing bad, but I feel there is more to be written/shared country to country

Very limited when it comes to contractors, especially for cases like ours, where we're hired as contractors but receive the same benefits as regular employees.
Avantages
Customizable Contracts and Services
The platform allows for flexible contract setups, making it easier to hire both full-time employees and contractors globally. It tailors agreements according to the local standards of the countries involved.
Inconvénients
As Remote manages onboarding processes across different countries, it may take longer than expected, especially if legal complexities or unexpected regulatory challenges arise. Slower onboarding than initially anticipated.
No customized set up for contract signatures, support response times can be slow, especially for time-sensitive issues.

Overall they are professional, their turnaround times with questions is usually very adequate. They give proper researched answers and are pro-active in solution finding with queries.
Avantages
Remote has a no nonsense approach. They operate balancing professional and practical, to best service both the employees and the employers. They legal support team is super competent.
Inconvénients
They cannot always offer full flexibility and for that reason we couldn't move an employee in NL. As the Remote pension wasn't flexible, so the employee would lose net salary. which they didn't accept so we got stuck in NL.

I have a very positive experience working with Remote.
Avantages
The platform is very user friendly, the support team (the Remote team in general) is very quick to help effectively, their product team takes the feedbacks seriously and makes the necessary adjustments to meet our Company's needs.
Inconvénients
The payment due date ))) I would extend it for a couple of days. And the platform fee for EORs is a little pricey.

the overall experience until now is not positive at all, to many difficulties in the transition from the previous system (Factorial HR) to remote
lack of a structure onboarding, there's a lot of support from the team but infos are not structured in a efficient way
compared to the previous experience, the feeling is that the product needs huge improvement to be able to provide a good user experience

Great service helping us to grow globally!
Amazing -- I am not sure what we would have done had we not found this global employer of record service. Our team is growing and travel for those on board in our home country is significantly reduced.
Avantages
Remote has enabled our team to grow globally, hiring amazing people without the worry and cost associated with creating a legal entity. I have reached out many times with questions and have found the support available to be very extensive and knowledgeable, even on some very specific enquiries.

I honestly can't think of anything, I have encountered no problems with the platform or the support offered.

Horrendous experience for my employees
The first customer service accountant lied, the second one disappeared for several days leaving us with nothing but stress trying to hear back from Remote regarding the onboarding.
Avantages
We have experienced several issues, mistakes, lies about offers, lies about discounts , wrongful information from their employees. it was an absolutely terrible experience with many of my employees facing tremendous stress, leading to resignations.

Customer service was absolutely horrible on several fronts.

Overall the user experience is is good. I like the past response times overall

Its easy to use, add or remove team members. The customer contact is really fast. Quick to set-up and onboard new team members.
Inconvénients
Sometimes when you have a question I did not receive the answer I was looking for or the reply was not send to me. This happened only once or twice so not too bad. If would be nice to have Remote connected to the accounting software.

From onboarding till now, all good.
I would love a French expert regarding accountant. This is missing.

A go-to EOR system
I've had a very positive experience with Remote so far, and am looking forward to more work with them. I would recommend Remote to any HR individual considering to expand their buisness to other countries in which they do not have subsidiaries.
Avantages
My most favoraite thing about Remote is the customer service. Other systems also provide employee payroll options but they do not have a superb customer service as Remote. Starting from designated Customer Success Manager to Use Happiness Team, they are always ready to help, and VERY responsive. Prior to Remote, they would take anywhere from 24-48 hours for a simple response, but Remote team will respond within 12-24 hour block.
Inconvénients
One thing I recently discovered is that their time-off tracking does not include childcare leave days. An employee has inquired about it only showing time-off days, but not government required childcare days.

Great platform for hiring talents across the world
Our overall experience with Remote is great. Customer service especially stands out: it's very responsive and always finds the right solution. We cannot imagine hiring process without Remote.
Avantages
Remote is a prefect platform for hiring people from across the world. The ease of implementation, super intuitive admin panel and truly amazing customer service - those advantages has made it impossible for us to imagine working without Remote. Remote team will take care of every step of the onboarding and offboarding of the employee, ensuring that we are up to date with the process. The payroll administration is very helpful as well. What is also important, with Remote we don't have to worry about regulatory compliance - we are sure at all times that everything is done in accordance with the regulations of the given country.
Inconvénients
The pricing is a bit high, but taking into consideration the quality of service, it is acceptable.

- Overall the UI is really intuitive and easy to navigate
- very straightforward onboarding
- lots of good resources to assist with info on each country and their own regulations
- easy way to submit expenses and a clear dashboard of where things are at.

-they are a victim of their own success support takes ages to get back to you.
-original bundles of benefits were somewhat dubious in the UK ( a no name pension provider and medical)

Smooth collaboration and great customer support
Avantages
The collaboration with remote is very smooth and helps our business a lot as it allows us to hire people globally. Our account manager, Florian, is super fast in responding, always friendly and helpful.
The tool is easy to use, intuitive and has a modern design.
Inconvénients
It would be great if our HR admin tool Hibob and the remote software would synchronize automatically (vacation, change of master data etc).
