Visual management of the site OEE performance. The ability to carry out Tier meetings using real time data. Reducing the non-value added time of collating and presenting data at meetings. Support for Redzone Coaches during the deployment.

Inconvénients

Cost of implementation was high. Installation of sensors and associated network, purchase of hardware inc. TVs, Apple devices.

Avantages

I liked the way Redzone leans toward the process owner for ideas and makes them an equal part of the change process.

Inconvénients

I did not like the fact we cannot get counts when the internet is not working.

Avantages

It has been a game changer to be able to see and communicate about issues live with the team. Especially from a quality perspective, being able to catch missed or failed checks right when it happens allows us to react faster, and ensure it's being communicated to the correct people immediately.

Removing paperwork from the floor is also a huge win!

Inconvénients

At first glance, Redzone was intimidating in its complexity. However, through training and practice it has shown to be a very useful tool.

The platform’s ease of use is a key feature, with an intuitive interface that supports both operators, maintenance and supervisors. It promotes collaboration through quick on the floor huddles.

Inconvénients

There are a few bugs in the system, especially when pulling reports.

Avantages

The coach [sensitive content hidden] was great. He was very helpful in building things, very flexible with our schedule, connected with the operators very well, and always had a great attitude, even when we kept him until midnight.

Some of the data sheets are not super intuitive to use. Wish the timers on compliance checks were more visual, or there was an alert to the operators when they were five/ten minutes from missing a check. Ability to read lot codes for barcode would be useful

Ease of learning and the coaching was very open and user friendly.

Change is tough no matter what you are implementing in a manufacturing setting. Teaching an older generation of newer technology and convincing them of the ease of the product was not the easiest journey!

The ease and confidence with which people have been able to learn and interact with Redzone and the difference it makes day to day for teams

The slight gap (roughly 6 weeks) between initial training and Quality Compliance training I don't feel was necessary - the modules are so easy to learn I think everyone could have done it from the beginning

Ease of use and interaction. The instruction from the trainer was great.

I was sold on the fact of the checks firing on a run time basis. In reality that creates some confusion.

The ability to be able to communicate more efficiently with QA and Engineering team .
Being able to display all data so that all colleagues can understand performance.

The site does not have the best internet connection, so sometime we lose signal

Avantages

This is very user friendly. Anyone of any job title can use easily. I appreciate the real time data I get now rather than having to wait until the next day. This allows us to be proactive now rather than reactive.

Inconvénients

There are some functions that need some updating. Some examples.
After the approval of any quality check, it will default you back to the beginning of the list rather than move you to the next item to approve.
When trying to contact support through the app the response is slow.
Some of the set up in the modules took a lot more work than originally understood.

Avantages

Redzone makes 3rd party audits easy. All of the documents generated are searchable is a number of ways depending on what your auditor is looking for. In the past we have have spent an hour or so gathering documents now with Redzone this process takes minutes.

Inconvénients

There is some heavy lifting that needs to be done up front, however once that is done there is very minimal upkeep.

i like the data catcher function, i am able to drill into the information which helps us to improve our line performance and effiency.

Inconvénients

i understand the basic of the whole system but in i need more time to understand the admin aspect of the system.

it can be a little complicate to understand how each downtime problem and assets are related and we need to set up the system back and forth to suit our needs.

Redzone is an amazing communication tool bringing all of operations together.

We are still scratching the surface with Redzone, but I would like for more customization to the core software design for our company needs.

I like that I'm able to communicate with others in real time and work together to solve issues that are happening on the floor.

No complaints on redzone as the app is easy to use and very user friendly.

The ability to launch and review every packaging machine performance (OEE) on the palm of your hands. Also, from Compliance, Reliability, & Productivity checks, paperless!

Inconvénients

When reviewing the tableau that is sent out through email. When you click on it, it takes a long time to upload (the circle of death).

Avantages

The compliance module is a great tool to for paperless documentation of a broad variety of quality information including photos, videos, text, etc. The timing functions ensure on-time execution of quality checks and new checks are relatively easy to build. There is a great variety of structures/formats for the checks so really any task can be documented thoroughly and efficiently. The downtime communication and tracking, problem tracking, and communication tools (huddles, etc) are pretty effective.

Inconvénients

Our environment is not a complex, highly automated, highly integrated system. It is fairly simple and therefore the OEE tracking was not very impactful and probably not worth the high cost.

Avantages

I don't have to go the office for small talks I can inform my manager easier via cha, I can spend more time to get my line running better. It's better than our old system in terms of data entry.

Inconvénients

When I'm busy with other line work and if I didn't start Redzone, the data is not being capture.

Avantages

Redzone helps us to record downtime, we are a food mixing area, we use the manual locations in redzone to record our machine uptime and downtime. We used to record it on paper but the information doesn't get review quick enough. with redzone, we can see live data for all our locations, we can quickly identify which location is not performing and give support to where is needed.

Inconvénients

manual location requires extra steps in logging data. i wish the system can atomically detect the running status of our machine so we dont' need to manually tell the system.

Avantages

We save time when using Redzone, it's easier to record downtime.

I can sent pictures and videos to my team and problems get resolved quicker using Redzone
I don't need to stay on line I can be elsewhere and still able to monitor my own line performance.

Inconvénients

In our production, there is no line cleaning time, the system expects us to immediately finish production.

We should allow some downtime as line cleaning to be entered before our break.

Avantages

I think Redzone is very easy to use and I can find live information.

As an area manager, I can instantly give feedback to my team leaders and help with to resolve any problems on their lines.

The line historical data is also widely available.

Inconvénients

Because we have different shift patterns and the software is flexible to use in different methods, we need to standardise the correct operating procedures and needs to get everyone aligned.

All has been good and would do it all again

Real-Time OEE monitoring. Digital data sheets and interactive checks. Chats between employees and management. Huddle groups and activities.

My only gripe is that Redzone is only available on iOS, but this is subjective as I've always been a Microsoft user.
