Avantages
When publishing prizes on line, the system guides you through and explains what each question means. It's very user friendly
Inconvénients
I had a lot of trouble this year loading pictures to illustrate my items. I've never encountered so many error messages as I did this year!

Best support staff
It's been a great experience, especially having help from [sensitive content hidden],Customer Success Manager, She is extremely thorough and knowledgeable and was able to help me with what I needed.
Avantages
What I like most is the fast response I get from people in customer service.

Pananorama Fronstream GiftWorks
I can do the basics that I need to do (donation entry, donor managment, querying the data) but I find that some problems I report to the tech support team (they are great) don't get resolved.
Avantages
I appreciate the ease of use with FrontStream. The interface is easy to look at (colors, fonts). Data entry is easy as well.
Inconvénients
There are far too many bugs in the software that do not get resolved. I do not like that I cannot create more complex queries. I have to export the data and then import it into Microsoft Access to create reports for Board Members and Management. I would prefer dynamic, custom-formatted reports in Panorama's FrontStream GiftWorks program, where a click of a button or two would allow me to use an existing custom template.

Panorama Review
We mainly use Panorama as our thank you letter center. It works well for this. However, when we used it for recent events, the programs selections for building a site seem to be a little old fashioned and not easy to maneuver.
Avantages
I like the ease of entering donations and sending letters.
Inconvénients
It is very difficult to talk to anyone and to get in contact with your help desk. I have several things that I have questions on how to do but it doesn't translate well in text. I would need to speak with someone.

High Quality Software
Avantages
I like how it is a one stop shop for Fundraising, Auction/Event Mangement, and CRM.
Inconvénients
There are a couple of features that are lacking: 1. There is no donor (user) portal login for them to personally manage their donations and 2.) There are limitations with making bulk changes to donor records.

Never a good customer services experience
When it works, good. But at the first sign of an issue I want to just quit rather than deal with inept customer support.
Avantages
Ability to schedule and conduct an online auction with a geographically dispersed team.
Inconvénients
Many things work well. However, when you have a problem, getting it resolved is likely going to be highly frustrating. No matter how much information I provide, it is as if they read the first 4 words and have bucketed and prioritized our problem. It generally takes several email exchanges to get them out of the original assessment and to actually addressing the problem. This is in spite of me trying carefully to be succinct as to the problem. Then the pace of resolving the problem can be very frustrating while our auction is live for the two week period. Personally, I would switch platforms. I have just resorted to telling people that they must ensure everything is working prior to the auction because the likelihood of getting a problem resolved in the auction timeframe is not likely.To me the company is trying to offer too many services and at least the auction category is appearing to be a non-money maker and receiving only passing attention if any.

Good software for an online auction
We're using Panorama as an online auction at the end of the year and have been successful in achieving our goal.
Avantages
Bidding for Good is easy to setup with online auction items and the bidding aspect appears to be easy to use by our bidders so that is a big help.
Inconvénients
My Biggest complaint is that it's impossible to change an "Individual" donor to a "Company or Business" donor. I've asked repeatedly to technical support for this and it's clearly not a priority. I especially need a "Contact Name" for the Business donors so thank you letters can be sent out but this has not been added so this is a big issue for me. It's simply an issue of adding a contact field to that database table.

Comprehensive, "Idiot-Proof" Fundraising
As a small non-profit, we don't have a fundraising staff and struggled with how to raise money and expand our supporter base. Our online auctions have solved those problems.
Avantages
This platform makes it easy for non-profits to successfully plan and execute an online fundraising event.
Inconvénients
After-hours support isn't available (ie - if there's an issue with a an auction that closes at night or on the weekend).

Great Product & Customer Service!
We have used Panorama for years for our online Auction needs, have worked with [sensitive content hidden] for several years and have truly felt very supported in this process.
Avantages
Bidding for Good and the ease of the platform for our online auction needs. [sensitive content hidden] were also excellent support for our school.
Inconvénients
This is small but when I uploaded images to auction items I found oftentimes that I would upload vertically but the image would switch horizontally. It was small and a minor inconvenience.

This is product does not work as designed.
We recieved no benefits from this product and put a dent into our budget.
Avantages
There is absolutely nothing I can say that is good about the product. It has so many "bug fixes" it does not work as described. It is clunky at best. For 6 weeks we have tried to use this product and get things accomplished and we can't get anything completed, their support is at best mediocre.
We had high hopes that this product would assist us in raising money forour foundation. All it has done is cripple us.
Inconvénients
Everything. The cloud based version is not ready to be used. It leaves so much to be desired. Support is at best poor. They take forever to get back to you. Thier fixes is let me correct that because you can't, it is a bug.

Stay Away!
Created far more problems than it solved. I should have backed out of the contract within weeks of signing it.
Avantages
Rumor has it that the server-based GiftWorks was a solid and useful product. Not the Cloud version. What I liked was that by migrating to GW I was able to regain (from a GW file in our own electronic archives) 15 years of donor history that my predecessor abandoned when he transitioned to a different product.
Inconvénients
Everything! Endless "known bugs" that weren't scheduled for fix. A tech support team that, while awesomely kind, also appears to have been trained to "resolve" issues by postponing the solution. Having zip codes and state codes randomly disappear from my records. Having it "integrated" with a peer-to-peer product that has a different default Constituent name protocol, so every single individual who was uploaded from that product generated a new record -- most of them duplicates.

Unhappy user
We were using Giftworks Anywhere, but after pressure from sales switched to the cloud based app. They assured me the functionality would be the same or improved. This was BS. I wish now we had stayed with Anywhere...at least that was functional. Customer service is terrible. I've been trying to get their help since February and they haven't solved anything. It's going to be a real pain to switch software, but I'm out of options.
Avantages
I like the interface and the tools. Would be great if things worked properly.
Inconvénients
Smartlists are non-functional. They just issued a bug fix and now I'm getting duplicate entries! They take forever to load. You can't run a report from a smartlist or make a graph like before. You have to export it as an excel file or pdf, it doesn't give you an option for portrait or landscape, or show dollar amount TOTALS!

I've used this for a while and it is okay. I don't always get a response from customer support.
Avantages
It's low cost, it was easy to put the donate widget on our website, you can store a fair amount of information in donor profiles.
Inconvénients
Lack of customization options in the giving form, when downloading donations to GiftWorks, the memorial/honorarium fields do not format correctly, when using SmartEntry you can't include campaign information for donations. I have also at times gotten no response from customer support or had support that was completely unhelpful.

Giftworks
If I was starting out I would not choose this software. I feel stuck because I have been with them so long and have a large amount of info that would have to be moved if/when I move to another software.
Avantages
I like the desktop version very much. It is easy to use and learn. It has all the reports and fields that I need.
Inconvénients
The cloud version was released before it was ready and it is a train wreck. Many important features are not working yet.

Good product for good price
Avantages
The price makes it accessible and it's fairly easy to use. It gets the job done and that's ultimately what matters, especially at this price point.
Inconvénients
The interface feels a little clunky, which is what you'd expect in a way, but I think it can make it hard to navigate sometimes.

Gift Works Intuitive yet Useless
More than anything, I hate that FirstGiving is the only compatible donation service. The donate now button from First Giving is prehistoric! There are so many free better options out there I just wish it was easier to have these other options integrate with GiftWorks
Avantages
I find GiftWorks intuitive to use. All of the customer care representatives are considerate and patient on the phone.
Inconvénients
The functionality of this software is terrible! The Volunteer Module is not developed enough to be useful. Smartlists and reports do not give me the information needed. When I try to create a custom report the fields I need to pull are not available. I have talked to customer care numerous times about these issues and while they are patient and understand my complaints they cannot do anything to fix the issue!

tech support does not respond to requests for assistance
I am less than two weeks in and very frustrated. I signed on to this program because it used to be FirstGiving and they had a very responsive support and customer service department. I have been having issues for days and no response other than one email this am saying they left a voice mail for me, when there is no record at all on my phone of a call coming in from them. Had I known it would be this difficult getting tech support on the line or even fixing the issues and sending an email out, I wish that I would have checked out their support more carefully before signing on.
Avantages
Their representative who helped me get acquainted with the program was excellent and took her time helping me understand how the fundraising platform works.
Inconvénients
I have experienced glitches in the system, edits not able to be made as it is embedded in template, as well as and more importantly, my work not saving. Submitting tickets for support and making calls and getting only voice mail, with no return calls.

Long-time user with good overall satisfaction. Predominately small-to-mid size shops.
Avantages
Easy to use notes section and ability to back-date entries allows to gather comprehensive data on a donor profile. Customized Smart Lists and Reports provide valuable data and support our ongoing efforts.
Inconvénients
It's a CRM tool, so the data-entry is still a heavy lift. It isn't quite as intuitive as other software systems. It's still a solid software package.

Good Value!
Straightforward and uncomplicated but has a lot of really great layer of information. It's the little things that make it easier to use, such as emailing a data pull directly and volunteer hour tracking, that make this a good product.
My only real complaint was the fact that it wasn't cloud-based...until NOW.

Easy to Learn, Use and Manage.
We began using GiftWorks in 2009. We are an older, established agency and needed to upgrade from a database that had been created by a volunteer who no longer worked with us. We needed a fresh start. GiftWorks gave us that and more. We love its ease of use and the smartlists and reports we can generate so easily and quickly. Fundraising databases for small nonprofits need to be very user friendly since most agencies with less than a million dollar budget require employees to wear many hats. We see GiftWorks as a strong partner for us. Support has always been available when needed. We hope GiftWorks maintains what drew us to this company in the first place...trust in the software and reasonable pricing. Thank you.

Giftworks is pretty bad
Avantages
It was easy enough to cancel our subscription and it was easy enough to export our data out of the program.
Inconvénients
It's clunky, hard to navigate and use, expensive. The user interface looks and feels very dated. Very awkward on a Mac. Has made simple tasks such as mail merges quite difficult.

Avantages
I used it once for my church and we were accepting donations and wanted to keep track of everything. This was a great tool for us to keep everything organized.
