Easy to understand, and to implicate into high end winemaking. Really clean and crisp interface. Happy to continue using.

Inconvénients

Not as easy for larger production. Innovint is great, but does need seem to have all of the bells and whistles.

Avantages

I like the searchability across different lots, even those belonging to separate clients. I may not always know where to look / click for some bit of information, but I can type a few letters and get closer to the info I'm seeking.

Inconvénients

It's not very fudge-able. Veers from cellar management priorities into some tricky accounting issues with regard to exact volumes. End result is that what's really in the cellar never exactly lines up with what's in the software.

Avantages

I like the practicality of working, InnoVint simple, dynamic and interactive.
It is very complete and translates everything a winery team needs to work well!

Inconvénients

So far there has been nothing I didn't like about InnoVint.

Avantages

functional and the ease of onboarding new users is fast.

Inconvénients

If you have vessels that move back and forth between facilities, tracking of these vessels is an issue. Also, the inability to set a order of importance (or Priority) for WO's during busy period (harvest or bottling) can create challenges.

The common sense structure and protections against errant entries.

Inconvénients

I wish they had better separation between apples and grapes as fruit/juice received on the TTB reports

Avantages

The homepage is great. I can see all of the most important aspects of my wine in just a glance. The "tag" feature is a huge plus as it allows me to know characteristics/history of the wine as well as help me understand which wines have not reached specific benchmarks.

Inconvénients

I wish the app was compatible with android products as well. Every so often Innovint will be down. Usually it only lasts for 30 minutes to an hour but that is tough sometimes. If there was a way to allow basic features to be done while offline, at the very least be able to view the info, that would be great.

I like the integration with all aspects of the winery, such as tank management, additions, wine movements, etc, and thus with our record keeping

Inconvénients

I would like more diversity in the ability to input our own formulas to calculate additions, such as SO2, as opposed to the built-in formulas of the program.

Avantages

The Bottlings and Inventory reports have saved me hours of time each month. No longer do I have to nag my winemaker to give me our bulk wine report and piece together what he bottled the prior month. I also like that I can run the reports for any time span. Just about everything can be exported to excel which is useful. Lastly, their customer service is very responsive.

Inconvénients

Looking at lots requires going to different pages rather than just scrolling. It takes a bit to learn how to read the Lot Histories.

Avantages

This is the only software I've used that actually gets it. I feel like all other systems have been designed by people who've never actually made wine or worked in a cellar. Innovint allows me to accurately track and record all cellar work and inventories. I've used it at our 10k+ case production facility and also out our smaller boutique cellar, it works fantastically.

Inconvénients

If you don't record in real time (which is sometimes difficult for disorganized winemakers) it can be hard to recreate it it in Innovint. Also, blending and topping can sometimes be counter intuitive. Finally, I wish there was a better recurring work-order system for harvest.

E.g. Tank X get's 2 pump overs a day until I opt out. This would work better than having to write countless work orders in the AM

Avantages

The interface is user friendly. Anybody with a winemaking background can figure it out on their own, without formal training. It's got a corresponding app and it's cloud based. I have access to it anywhere in the winery or from home. The customer support is very responsive and they help with any question(big or small) very quickly. TTB is reporting is fairly straightforward. Love how Innovint tries to eliminate data entry time(FOSS data upload and other .csv imports). Innovint does a great job of tracking all the wine movements!

Inconvénients

My complaints about Innovint are mostly related to actually facilitating the work at the winery.
We are a barrel by barrel facility and there is not a simple way to sort the inventory of barrels by the wine inside(important for pulling samples and topping). Some of the work orders are very cumbersome to create. The website becomes very slow for big work orders and occasionally crashes. Printed work orders are hard to work off of. The work orders on the app are also a bit confusing.

Avantages

We were able to integrate our winemaking logs, unfinished product inventory, nutrient inventory, and equipment inventory into one single place. We also use some of the features in InnoVint to free up other time during harvest so we can work with the wines we are making and pay better attention to what is happening with the wine as it is fermenting.

Inconvénients

With any software that is so robust, it is also complicated. Only a quarter of our cellar team know the software well enough to fix problems and "do it all" and the other 75% do as much as they can and then leave items to be back dated into the system. Sometimes the backdating doesn't work as well as we would like. And there is no way to edit an action that has already been input.

Avantages

I like the ability to navigate different lots with new tabs in the browser. Now that the tabs are labeled, it makes it easy to look at multiple lots at once. The ease of labeling vessels and printing QR codes really helps organize our topping wines. The instant, real-time updates to our lots and their movements and the work order creation is fantastic.

Inconvénients

The only con would be: if a vessel has been emptied by mistake and the mistake was caught a few weeks down the road, then, it is a little difficult having to back track and reverse all the actions applied to said vessel since the mistake occurred so you can free up the vessel and correct the mistake.

Avantages

Tractability of each lot, and each action attributed during the life of wine from grape to bottle. Also, each wine movement or addition is recorded on the calendar automatically, which has drastically reduced the user error compared to Excel tracking or manual entry software.

Inconvénients

I would like to see advancement in usability of the Innovint App. We are sometimes in positions where we have no access to a computer, but would like to update or edit a work order, wine lot, chemical additive, or vessel and must run back to the office to make updates before we can continue.

Avantages

Inventory on date. When I took over the reporting for this winery, they did not have a saved copy of the bulk inventory as of the end of the last year (it was May at this time) but I could still go back and create the information that I needed.

Inconvénients

The default on the lot and vessel screens is to "hide archived" and a lot of time I need the archived info.

Avantages

QR Code functionality is great as is the overall layout of the software. I also like the ability to create barrel tags as in the past we've just been relying on duct tape and sharpie.

Inconvénients

The mobile interface could use some updates like the ability to assign a batch for an additive to an existing work order if the creator doesn't do so for the employee. Additionally the 702 functionality seems to have some glitches when trying to generate gallons from sweetening.

Avantages

It's user friendly and easy to use. They have a great support staff when you need extra assistance.

Inconvénients

Printed work orders need to be simplified so that a cellar worker can understand it without extra information that they don't need.

Avantages

I like being able to see my quantities of different wines at a glance. I look forward to the ease of completing my year end reports.

Inconvénients

Getting my staff to use it! It is not quite as intuitive as I wish it were. It takes some practice to recognize what tasks are called and how they are entered.

Avantages

I love how quick I was able to learn it and then teach my staff on its use. It has helped a ton to keep up to date records.

Inconvénients

There is so much to learn at first it took me a bit to become comfortable with it. However, the support was easy to contact and very helpful so I learned quickly.

the system is easy to move around in, the format is easy to work with, i can put up multiple pages and toggle between them simply, if an entry is incorrect it will tell you where and what is needed to correct it,

Inconvénients

i have not figured out how to easily tell if a workorder has been completed, i would like to be able to write up work orders for multiple lots with multiple tasks on one work order

it makes everyone's life easier at the wineries, easy to scan breakdown vessels, track wines, and utilize historic data

Inconvénients

I wish there were more features relating to vineyard activities i.e. maps, tracking petiole reports, etc.

I love how innovative the company is. They have truly thought of everything, and are willing to make changes if solutions are needed.

Inconvénients

As with any software, sometimes staff that isn't computer literate has challenges. This is easily overcome with training and mentorship.

I like for easy it is to jump right in with no training and use. It is very intuitive and I am very impressed with that

I think there can be features added to help make the software 100% inclusive, like adding a bill of lading feature

The clarity of the interface and customization features led to a good amount of information able to be transmitted between myself and the winery team.

Inconvénients

Bulky to learn at first, but this is likely to be the case for many different programs. After a few uses it became much more intuitive.
