Avantages
An easy-to-use intercom system. Easy to use even for first-timers, this program has just the right amount of detail without being overwhelming. The intercom is similar to another email program that we use, and I can explain why. Its fast features and user-friendly interface, such as the helpful and funny bot, greatly enhance customer service and lead to exceptional client satisfaction.
Inconvénients
I find that the intercom sometimes has trouble loading some conversations, which is a major drawback for me. As a customer service representative, you're fielding calls while waiting for the intercom inbox to load the customer's information. In addition to the holdup, additional issues have slowed down the operation of the customer support team.

Great for the money, Lots of customization to be had if you want to take the time.

Intercom can be your all-in-one, one-stop shop for EVERYTHING related to your communication with Customers, new and soon-to-be users, and any support regardless of how it gets to you.
Inconvénients
It can be very time-consuming to include all features in your workflow and allow for it to work properly.It can also double up on some things like support ticket tracking and then doesn't play well with other software if you are already migrated into other systems.

Unfortunately you can easily get locked in due to how many features sit under one roof. Making it easy for Intercom to up prices.There may be individual services superior to some intercom features. But none of them do an all in one package like intercom do

Having used other software in the same category, I find it a little more difficult to communicate with multiple customers simultaneously by switching from one conveersation to another, but this in no way detracts from the quality of the platform.

Starting was great, but we realized that their target customers are large corporations who can afford the hefty fees.

The platform is dependable and fast to use.
Inconvénients
Features are gated in a way that means you can't make a gradual increase as your customer base grows. Basic functionality is very expensive and we just can't justify the amount when there are other tools on the market with better functionality at over half the cost.

Quickly and simply, I can access the Macros and write/update the articles in the assistance center. Streamlining the process of submitting tickets to the correct division for handling user concerns. It's a time saver for all teams because they can deal with it themselves.

Streamlining the process of submitting and responding to tickets, and developing automated tools to streamline and simplify our daily lives. I appreciate how simple it is to locate articles and macros to distribute to my clientele. The addition of emoticons and gifs to the discourse is a nice touch, as well.
Inconvénients
Previous software allowed us to see the customer's input before he sent it. This allowed us to quickly respond to his query by reading it as he was writing it. If only I could keep seeing it.

Overall, our main aim was for the chat bot functionality and for our conversations to lead to onboarding clients. Intercom has helped us achieve this.
Avantages
The most I like about Intercom is the varied options of features it offers. Not only do they allow manual chats, they also introduced Fin, their AI bot and have other options for email marketing, product tours and others.
Inconvénients
Because there are so many features, it seems difficult to learn about each of them. I am unsure where to look for the instructions and prefer videos over articles that Intercom seems to have.

A great chat tool but expensive for startups
Avantages
UI/UX of Intercom is greatly down and can be seen as an inspiration to a lot of its competitors. Once the settings is up, Intercom generally handles all of the chats and leads seamlessly
Inconvénients
If you are a small customer, customer support is not really there for you. Fixes and patches takes some time. Plus it's fairly expensive.

All in one support tool that can grow with you from early stage startup to established...
Very positive and I would recommend Intercom to any early stage startup to apply for the Startup programme in order to get A LOT of functionality and bang for your buck. We have used Intercom from when it was just 2 [sensitive content hidden] to now a company of 50+ people, you don't need to waste time looking for another tool as it can grow with you.
Avantages
The conversation routing bot was extremely easy to set-up and empowered us to streamline and automate our customer service and support processes. Furthermore, the ability to add-on features and functionality, such as WhatsApp integrate, was great to allow us to customize what we needed for our business.
Inconvénients
Without the startup programme the pricing is quite aggressive with a basic package starting from $74 / month. Therefore, you really need to invest some time to set-up Intercom to add as much value as possible because it is pricey vs alternatives.

Intercom helped us to embrace the *fear* of customer interaction and how it's important to communicate and interact with your community. It took us some time to understand and embrace it but after practicing and using their tools, it gave us the opportunity to learn more about our members.

Intercom have helps us so much to embrace our members and have an active relationship with them.One of the things that is very helpful is its user-friendly interface. The platform is easy to navigate, and it has a clean and organized layout that makes it simple to find what you need.The chat feature is intuitive and easy to use. It has allowed us to be quick and efficient with our communication when our customers are struggling with our services.Lastly but not least, the integrations are super important, so I do appreciate that it has a variety and range of important software app like Slack, Sendgrid, Gmail and social media because it helps us to keep the communication and interaction in one place !!
Inconvénients
I think the only thing that was hard to adapt on, it's the price. We had a super amazing one year trial as a startup but, if you're still struggling and you loose your startup perk. It can hurts on the pocket if you start to pay the real price. So, we had to keep our service on the minimal settings to avoid paying a price that is still yet difficult for us to pay.

So far, the tool is useful for managing customer tickets and chats, but I feel the features for the price aren't really justified.

Perhaps too pricey compared to other similar tools out there that offer the same features. It can be an ice-breaker for some start-ups.

When I was on the customer support, it was perfect to speak with clients, so useful and huge to make everything they have.

Not great for scale
Intercom works for small scale if you need something in a pinch. Once you start growing, the functionality and the price becomes too much. It worked well for what it was but we had to move away.
Avantages
This is a very easy software to deploy, it's as easy as building the messenger and copy and paste the code into Production. The interface is very easy to maneuver with building the Bots including a flow or a tile sequence, the reporting is ok.
Inconvénients
The reporting could be better, it's hard to translate some of the metrics in Intercom with industry standards. (First response time = Avg Wait, Response Time = Avg Hold, Time to Close = Handle Time). Once you start working with multiple Teams, the reporting gets to be too much. The push of Ai and Resolution Bot isn't great, both of them are still in their infancy and you gotta go custom if you're going to build a Bot. Integrations with other systems - forget about it

Proper customer service tool with extra features.
Avantages
Intercom doesn't stop with just the basic functionality that you would expect from a customer service platform. It provides vastly more integrations like "Tours" which allows for hight acquisition rates and revenue.
Inconvénients
Intercom's price is comparable to its direct competitors but can get quite expensive when add-ons are added.

Great but expensive customer support software
We have absolutely loved our experience with Intercom, however when our discounted plan runs out we will most likely be switching to a different tool.
Avantages
Intercom is absolutely great to use for customer support. Almost everything you would need from a CRM and customer support solution is available in Intercom.
Inconvénients
Intercom is beyond expensive, if you aren't a large company and cannot get a discount it is almost impossible to pay for and use.
