Nothing to dislike about this product. It's quite quick and if security is important to you, it is a good idea idea to use okta for verification.

I like how all of my passwords are kept in one centralized location. I do not have to keep up with them in another document or on paper. Whenever you visit a website that has the stored credentials, the OKTA box pops up and asks if you want to login with your saved information. Makes logging into websites a breeze! Helps save alot of time and headaches.

Honestly nothing - it does everything it needs to do.

I learned of Okta because my company uses it basically for everything. Okta is a base-camp for all other applications that are not only work-related but also for variety of other sites. Single sign-on system is super useful and time effective. Also Okta checks up on me whether login was successful everytime I visit different sites and Okta tries the best to be most user-friendly as possible.

Inconvénients

Okta is super convenient to use for first-time users and I could not really point out cons of using this sofware. It's simple, easy to use and user-friendly.

It's great to have the added security that is provided by Okta, and the ease of needing only one log-in for multiple pieces of cloud software is really nice.

My only complaint is that it gets a little wonky if you have a couple of different accounts signed in on the same browser.

I love how you sign in once to Okta with your SSO and then you have access to everything you need for the remainder of the day. The little icon next to the address bar is a really nice feature and is super handy for every time I need to open a new window with a different application.

Inconvénients

When you sign in to Okta you need to accept a push notification that gets sent to your phone. I don't mind doing this, but sometimes I have to do this multiple times a day and it just seems unnecessary.

Okta users can feed information needed to log in to different websites and the software can remember it for you, thus making it easy to access a wide variety of accounts, without having to remember each and every passwords as the software remembers the saved login credentials. Okta is easy to use and access and can be used in different platforms such as mobile phones and tablets, making logging into accounts easy. This implements the concept of Single Sign On, which needs the user to only log into one account, that is, of Okta to get access to all the applications of which the credentials have been saved.

Inconvénients

The cost of Okta may not be affordable to small and medium scale companies, only the larger or more established companies can use this software to store employees’ login credentials and other passwords. The software also does not give options of adding or deleting more or less services to manipulate the usage charges.

Software is easy to use and implement. The Control panel just makes sense. Every implementation is very well documented and pretty much walks you through every integration possible. MFA is fairly easy. Support is great. Even pre-sale, we were able to get support from sales engineers and it was great. Pricing is nice too if you go through a reseller.

Inconvénients

While the control panel is nice, there are quirks. The bulk delete users process is painful, you almost have to do it one by one. The MFA, while nice, can be quirky. I am getting a bit fed up with the number of authenticator apps on my phone.

I used to work in a company that use okta as our authenticator to do my job and always was awesome, never fail and give me a real protection so i can be sure i was in a safe environment inside my computer, it was easy to use and authenticate with my cel phone, all msg for authenticate always were sent immediately so i can aces my device i really recommend this software for protection.

Inconvénients

just a couple of times i didn't receive my msg in my cell phone immediately (were delayed) but I think that maybe was my cell phone carrier instead of okta.

I enjoy how easy this software makes everyday authentication. I almost forget I even have to login!

When you have to renew your credentials it locks you out of everything.

Okta SSO is so usfull in everyday bossiness, using a lot of different applications that require log in OKTA speeds this up so fast. Easy to set up for what applications you need, shortlist of applications that you have connected to OKTA is also useful.

Inconvénients

Sometimes when application that is connected to OKTA needs password change you are not able to update that password to OKTA it just doesn't let you change it, and if you get a chance to change it in OKTA for that application it doesn't save it.

Avantages

As I was onboarded to my new job and role, Okta was one of the first programs that was introduced to me. I love how easy it is to use and how it houses all the other programs and softwares I would need in order for me to sign on to different platforms. It's very user friendly and I love that it is a centralized identity store. Single sign in is definitely something that most companies need!

Inconvénients

So far that I've been using Okta, I haven't encountered any problems just yet. I'm pretty content with it.

Okta does keep all of your passwords in one place that you can easily access from your browsers toolbar. And has a large varieties of apps you can access.

Okta constantly asks if I want to save my password for a site (already saved in Okta) when there is no password reset required.

Tons of connectors for almost all type of SAAS based web solutions. Love the mobile app as well that allows you to directly login to all of the applications you use.

Can be expensive for smaller businesses, and setting up some of the connectors can be a little difficult and require the assistance of an IT resource.

It was intuitive to use and easy to understand. The notifications and the ability to accept or deny from the notification bar was a nifty feature. For a fresh person, using this software, it is fairly easy to understand.

Inconvénients

Sometimes, while sending authorizations from Safari, the app refreshes continuously. No amount of refreshing or restarting fixed it. It is super buggy sometimes on some browsers. Switching to a new browser, usually fixes it. But, for a production level software, this bug is a big deal

The Okta dashboard is easy use and understand. I like the single sign on ability for the many softwares I use for work.

Inconvénients

I don't know if this is a limitation of Okta or of the software used, but some softwares take logging in multiple times through Okta before you are successfully auth-ed.

It is very easy to share passwords for accounts that are used across my company's Operations team... across the office and across the globe!

Can be difficult for me to add passwords for the whole team to use; from my usage/understanding, only our administrator(s) can add new site/password combos

The hardest part about Okta is that each web browser appears to only be able to handle one Okta-authenticated account. For those who need to log into two accounts leveraging Okta (whether for another partner company or client), it can be a challenging user experience.

I used to access company portals on both my work computer and cell phone. I liked how I could easy unlock/login using the TouchID on my iPhone.

It had a marketplace of other apps to add but I had a limited use of the platform. For our company it was mainly used to access the intranet.

Support wasn't great when we had an issue simply due to the time difference being based in the UK and support is over in the states. Okta are aware of this and I'm confident European support will be at the same level as that of the US in the near future.

Okta is a a great software I use to log into my school portal. It has a two factor authentication and you can also easily reset your password if you don’t remember it

What I do not like is that if you don’t remember your password after three trials. It will lock you out and you need to wait for 24-48hours to access your account again. I hope this changes.

Avantages

Easy to implement, user friendly (for even the most basic of users), multi-factor authentication, and integrated with everything our office used. Really enjoyed Okta and would advocate for other orgs I work at to use this.

Inconvénients

I really cannot think of any downsides to having used this. Seamless to use and nobody else in our office ever had any complaints.

As a SSO platform, it is widely supported and can integrate with a wide variety of software and services, adding multi factor authentication to accounts is also easy to do for added security.

I've had mixed success with the Okta browser plugin, it doesn't successfully remember passwords often. While not exactly a bad thing, if you have used different emails for different platforms, this doesn't work well with a single sign on to Okta. The Okta email needs to be the same as the email the target platform uses, which often makes sense but occasionally is a pain.

I like most that it provides option to enter random generated code on registered device either you could sign in with single touch by sending push on your device.

I use OKTA for keeping track of all my passwords..for everything. I have so many logins and I constantly worry that I'm going to forget them and waste time resetting them, or that they're going to be made public somehow and my information will be compromised. OKTA takes care of all that for me by safely and securely remembering everything for me.

Inconvénients

Sometimes OKTA will keep multiple passwords and login info for the same site, but they will use the wrong one for different instances. I also find that using Chrome to remember passwords competes with OKTA, so you have to turn it off, which means you will run into new things that need to be stored in OKTA.

We have used Okta for many years in many different ways! We love the ease of use and the ability to have people signed into different applications through Okta. It eliminates the need for employees to manage several different login names and passwords! Who has time for all that?!

Stores my frequently accessed work applications with an added step of security. When I am opening a program, I am required to verify my identity using my cellular device.

How I only have to remember one sign in to get to many different platforms my company uses. The browser is aware of what site I'm on, and if I happen to go to a specific site and attempt sign-in I'm redirected to Okta. This is a life-saver, as I usually have to look up passwords elsewhere.

I'm constantly asked if I want to save personal passwords to Okta, where I don't like to allow professional software access to my person passwords.

Avantages

My company just switched to this software to log into our virtual ware to our work desktop, and I found this new software to be quick and easy. One easy log in and click a message that comes to your phone and, woohoo, you are in!

Inconvénients

The only thing I would say is a con for this software is that you need to have the app downloaded to your phone. If you lose your phone, you are in trouble. It is the only way to get into your work desktop.
