Great Single sign-on platform
Avantages
You can save a lot of time using Okta given you don't need to remember tons of credentials. It allows you to connect to your services from the same UI. Its interface is very easy to use and learn.
Inconvénients
You need to install a plugin for some applications or services. It would be great if this should not be required. I cannot say nothing else negative about Okta.

Okta is a must-have
It saves time, it is portable and above all, it is secure.
Avantages
Okta is a tool I wish I knew about before. Some of the things I love about it are;
- I don't have to remember all my different log in details, I only need my Okta password.
- It is very secure.
- I can access my email, ATS and even Slack from pretty much anywhere, on my phone, home computer etc
- It is super easy to use with a very simple UI
Inconvénients
Forgetting your Okta password could mean getting locked out of all your accounts, though this is really not Okta's fault.

I am not the admin of the system. As a user it just worked for me.

Great for security, but annoying to use everyday
Avantages
It's nice that I can access most softwares through Okta once I am logged-in. Okta is definitely a great tool to add additional security for users.
Inconvénients
I hate how I have to log into Okta so frequently. Every few hours, I am manually logged out, and I have to double authenticate with my phone or apple watch.

Okta has been a really good tool for our corporate 2fa.
Avantages
it keeps the simplicity of any 2fa but adds extra features especially for businesses. We had been using it for our 2fa VPN without any issues.
Inconvénients
It is not that popular, for some reason there are many companies that are not aware of Okta.
Another thing is the app and the setup could become more friendly or appealing to the day to day users.

Very happy
Avantages
Okta is definitely the pioneer in the Identity management game and very secure and safe. Easy access to multiple apps in my organization with a single sign on.
Inconvénients
Nothing to complain. However, i had faced the issue of the requirement to provide credentials for re-authenticating to my applications. This is a fair ask so I do not find it as a pain though

Great solution for handling the single sign on feature for all the company's applications and websites
Avantages
To access all the company authorized applications we use okta, you log in and all the applications and websites that you have access are available in one place, making ease to use and secure with the 2step authentication using the mobile app and/or alternative methods as SMS or eMail.
Inconvénients
Since Okta is great handling the single sign on for all applications in the company and works well, I don't see any cons so far.

Avantages
Okta is an IT focused tool, with a very robust suite of SAML capable apps. The team constantly adds new features such as Device Trust and adaptive authentication. We are most excited for Device Trust (which integrates with your MDM to enforce enrollment by acting as a gateway to your corporate apps) and passwordless authentication. Okta’s Active Directory integration synchronizes profile and group membership to Okta to manage access to AWS applications (and any other web apps). Our Active Directory connector is one of our most achievements — there’s no VPN, no firewall modifications, no need for dedicated hardware and built-in high availability.
Inconvénients
Some of the "apps" in the Okta catalog are actually using password warehousing, instead of SAML, so it's important to pay attention to the details! Okta acts as a Directory Service.

Great SSO product
Okta has been trusted in a couple businesses I've worked with to keep employees organized and secure.
Avantages
I have used Okta in my last two companies. Okta is a great way to keep the office organized and secure.
Inconvénients
The transition from our previous solution to Okta had some bumps. It would be nice if there was anytype of switch over or onboarding documentation.

Great as a two factor authenticator!
Avantages
Works amazingly and keeps everything nice and tidy! It's a great form of redundant security, I wish I could use it for all my personal accounts.
Inconvénients
Sometimes it seems the push works more reliably than entering a code. Not sure if that has to do with the way it was set up at my company, but either way I'm super happy with it.

I know it works...but I don't know what it's worth.
I think Okta works well, but it's cost-ineffective and not altogether useful. I'd recommend just using the built in functionality found in Google Chrome.
Avantages
Okta does exactly what it says it does: store and protect your usernames and passwords. Each stored account is captured inside a shortcut in your Okta dashboard, allowing you secure, one-click access to your web services.
Inconvénients
Here's what I'm unclear on with Okta...is it worth paying for? The same service is included with browsers such as Google Chrome at no cost and with comparable encryption. I have a longstanding relationship with Google, who I count on to innovate and protect my identity in an increasingly dangerous online environment. I couldn't tell you what advantage Okta provides.

I use it to manage logging into about 15 different apps which I use for work on a daily basis. It works so well! I'm so glad I don't need to remember login details for all of them. It's a really great platform.
Avantages
It's really easy to use Okta to manage all the apps I use in my daily work. I really like how easy it is to find all the apps within the Okta page, and how easy it is to sign into them. I like how I only have to use one set of sign in details to login to all of the apps with no hassle at all, all i have to do is login to Okta and then click on the apps and I'm in. In a previous job, we did not have this system and remembering the mountain of login details was a nightmare so I'm hugely thankful to Okta.
Inconvénients
There is just one thing that I find annoying, which is how often I have to get an authentication text message sent. I know I can turn it off, but I kept forgetting to do that initially and it was so annoying! And also when I changed device or browser, or used incognito mode it did this. Making the box saying 'do not challenge me on this device again' a bit clearer would be great.

Ease of use. Also if at anytime we have issues OKTA support is always great to work with and most of the times able to fix our issues within a short time frame.

We are solving the inaccurate time punches of a flat time card. Instead of logging a flat 40 hours a week the time card is now down to the minute of time actually worked.
Avantages
Okta is a very user friendly software. It has great functionality when used as a clock in software. It is easy to learn and implement.
Inconvénients
During peak clock in/out times it takes a while to load. this could be due to the numerous employees in our organization.

Top notch SSO solution - Simple to configure - Extermely versatile and IT JUST WORKS!
We've used OKTA for over 3 years to integrate SSO with Cloud based applications and custom in-house built solutions. OKTA is easy to configure for Cloud based apps. They give you step-by-step detailed instructions (with pics) on how to configure your Cloud app (Workday, Service Now, Salesforce, etc...ALL the cloud apps are here) and OKTA to just work. For custom in-house built applications, OKTA offers a variety of ways to integrate SSO.
Avantages
Extremely easy to use with both Cloud and custom built applications. Once set up, it just works...always.
Inconvénients
Sewing in your own authenticate into your custom apps requires some high-level technical expertise but OKTA offers plenty of examples on-line. We've used it for ASP.NET authentication and custom HTML5/JavaScript client applications.

Avantages
I love having all the apps, websites, accounts I use on a daily basis have a single hub and sign on process. It's super easy to use and convenient.
Inconvénients
Resetting my password (as you're required to do regularly) is a bit of a pain.

Not sure we will keep this product
We use Okta every day for many applications. For the most part, it simply set it and forget it. HOWEVER, they are not very Small Business friendly. Contacting and working with Contracts and Support require a lot of effort and often with minimal results.
Avantages
Active Directory integration, GSuite Integration, a lot of established apps for integration are available through their Add an App page
Inconvénients
Support is slow, and prices are high. When integrated apps are updated by the app vendor, it often just breaks in Okta. They don't seem to be proactive on many of their supported apps.

Reliable and easy to use
I was a little wary when our organization moved to SSO, but Okta has been easy to use and fuss-free.
Avantages
I've never had any downtime, login, or 2FA issues with Okta. It's always just worked for me The fact that you can use many types of 2FA applications is a big plus. The UI is simple and quick to use, too. I can usually just get in, click the application I need, and keep moving.
Inconvénients
Sometimes it can be difficult to find out why you don't have access to a certain application. It wasn't clear to me who to contact when this happened to me one time.

My Security is my Priority
Avantages
I don’t even notice him using it. With so many security breaches, it’s nice to have one less thing to worry about. I’ve had my identity stolen before and don’t need it again. Just give me another level of comfort knowing my information is secure.
Inconvénients
I don’t really have anything negative to say. It’s very easy to use. Mostly I don’t even notice it. Pretty sure that’s what you would want in an application.

Okta allowed my company to house all our tools under one login. Great for avoiding wasted time from forgetting how/where to login.
Inconvénients
Every once in while I'd get caught in a loop (or something) where I'd try to login, and the password would be wrong, and then the process would start over.

Okta has simplified account access across all software/applications that I utilize.
Avantages
This has simplified my access to applications that I utilize. I previously had to keep track and manage access for several applications that I use. With Okta I can login to our company Okta portal and then from there I have straight access to the programs and applications I need. This has been a time saver.
Inconvénients
Okta times out frequently but that may be due to company settings. It would be great to have a login session to Okta last longer.

I highly recommend Okta to all of those that work in a professional environment. It is truly the most efficient way to function throughout the work day. Saves a lot of time.

Overall in most cases, Okta has made life easier and more secure for our business.

It is probably one of the most effective security management tools for logins I have ever used. The ease of access on the user end is seamless the majority of the time as long as the backend is done correctly.
Inconvénients
There are some challenges with integration and rollout. It also requires some significant technical background in order to stand up the software for your company.

Daily time savings; log in once and authenticate automatically to multiple web portals throughout the day
Avantages
Okta provides tntegration with many of the authentication-required sites I use on a daily basis. Centrally managed by IT so I don't have to add all of the company-wide sites myself.

At the time I used it, Okta lacked integration with old-school htaccess password prompts. This accounted for a small portion of the sites I use on a daily basis.

SAML 2.0 vs OpenID Connect
Avantages
Okta is a great SSO vendor, being reliable and overall having very good documentation
Inconvénients
We spent months developing an application to utilized OpenID Connect, something all their docs point to as the preferred method only to find out that it was enabled in Dev, but we had to pay a high fee for us to have it in production. This is causing us to have to rewrite the application to SAML 2.0 (no additional cost). I have no idea why OpenID comes at an additional cost, but it wasn't worth the pricing.

Easy to Use
Avantages
easily able to access all needed programs from work or remotely. great that all information is stored in one place and makes it easy to log into anything I need from the road.
Inconvénients
Sometimes it doesn't save passwords correctly and then it causes an issue with logging in.
