Okta is easy to use
Overall I love this software and literally do not have any complaints about it.
Avantages
I love Okta! It makes me feel secure with my work and day to day tasks. It is very easy to setup and use. It also never malfunctions.

A consise SSO solution for identity verification
Avantages
It's super easy to use. Works almost seamlessly between computer and phone.
Inconvénients
I sometimes go a full day with only logging in once. Sometimes, for no clear reason, I need to re-verify/SSO 2-3 times during the day to get back into my systems.

secure and easy access to many software at one place using SSO
Avantages
2 level authentication makes it secure, user get real time dynamic passcode as text message to login along with using their password.
users are given different level of access for various applications
apps are available at one place and user can rearrange them based on preference
Inconvénients
because its meant to be secure, one has to contact admin if they lose their phone and can't receive text message. there is no alternative to this

Good security measure
Avantages
I like that it's very easy to use. You can either log in to Okta by integrating it into other products and using SSO or you can log in to Okta and launch apps from the dashboard. I like the flexibility it offers.
Inconvénients
I don't like that it always asks me to authenticate my device. I wish it would just remember. It's frustrating when I'm in a meeting with my laptop but I forget my phone at my desk and then I can't log in to anything.

Like having a key in my pocket
Really enjoy the experience. As mentioned there really hasn't been any issues with it, and that's the most I would expect from a tool like this!
Avantages
Okta makes accessing my most used platforms incredibly easy. I've never had an issue with Okta before.
Inconvénients
Cannot fault this tool - I've honestly not run into an issue while using it over the last 24 + months

A good place to manage business programs
Overall it's been a good experience. On the user end it seems like a very slim app and does what it needs to without extra bloat.
Avantages
I like that there is one place for me to go to view all of the apps that my company uses. It makes finding what I need easier.
Inconvénients
When I don't have access to the programs I need, it would be nice if there was a way to request access directly within the app. Or to see a list of programs that my company provides that I could see.

Don't really get the point of it
not amazing and it is not really oktas fault more the companies fault for not explaining it better

Not sure why this tool was implemented. I understand it is for security but it has only made everything complicated

Google Chrome Works Better
I log into one piece of software with Okta, only because I haven't had Google Chrome do it for me yet

It suggests new passwords when they need to be updated
Inconvénients
it doesn't log you in to everything at start up, and it times out so when you time out of a software and go to log back in, you also have to log into Okta again first

Okta Verify
Once IT implemented Okta the transition was so smooth as a user. I haven't had any glitches with the app, no random sign out's, nothing to complain about.
Avantages
The Okta app makes it super simple to use. You can either type in your code manually or have a push notification sent.
Inconvénients
I have not had any drawbacks so far, very user friendly.

A very good tool for protecting the security of your organziation.
Organization wide, everyone now knows they can access their logins directly from Okta and it makes things much more simple.
Avantages
Before implementing this tool our employees were required to remember multiple passwords for several logins, this has helped a great deal in that respect.
Inconvénients
There are some issues with SSO and how well it integrates with certain products. Some individuals are kicked out of their logins depending on how links are used.

Avantages
Internet security is so important nowadays. Okta does it better than any other company. It's not something you think about a lot but it's great for keeping data secure and I have no doubt they'll thrive as a company moving forward.
Inconvénients
Nothing I can think of. It's easy to use and free of glitches.

Better than Duo
The main business problem that Okta solves is a lack of security. It also provides convenience to the workforce.
Avantages
I like how simple and user-friendly Okta is compared to other software like Duo. It is easier to set up and has fewer bugs as I consistently use it. It also houses all the applications I need for my daily business needs and is secure.
Inconvénients
It doesn't have any advanced functionality and it's not very visually appealing.

Avantages
I like that Okta keeps all important log in information safe. It all allows you to share company log ins to multiple users.
Inconvénients
I wish it was a bit easier to access and understand. It is nice to have the plug in feature but it would be nice if it was a bit easier to log in to your account.

I use Okta for verification
Avantages
I like the fact that the push notification to approve or deny appears a the top of my screen as a notification, so I do not need to physically open the app, and, I can select approval by simply pulling the notification down. It is also very fast
Inconvénients
Only drawback is that you can only authenticate if you have your cell phone nearby. I wish there was a secondary option in the event I'm without my cell.

Pretty decent tool for two factor authentication
Used in the company to sign in to emails and other company applications and helps us add a level of security.
Avantages
Quite efficient tool for maintaining the security using multi factor authentication. Ensures there is another level of security before you get in

It definitely lacks some bells and whistles which some of the other multi factor authentication tools have. Sometimes the authorization does not work as expected resulting in starting over the sign in process

Secure your apps the right way
Overall it is really good solution if you are looking to improve the security of your user data.
Avantages
Let your customers / employees actually use your applications instead of going through the pain of all those passwords. All the great features you'd expect from a SSO. 2FA, alerts, Verfiication app, dashboards, proactive checks.
Inconvénients
Might be a bit pricier then competitors. Relying on SAML. Role based access is a bit limited.

We use Okta for all of our passwords/logins for the company
Avantages
I like that I can have all of my passwords and logins in one place and I never have to remember each password. I use probably 15 different systems a day that I need logins to all the time, and okta makes it really easy.
Inconvénients
Sometimes the okta is slow or doesnt pop up when I am logging into something, it might be an issue with the website but I have to reload sometimes. Other than that, no issues!

Okta is the very best way for 2-Factor Auth.
Avantages
Very easy to use and provides the security I need across platforms for two-factor authentication. The timeout feature is awesome.
Inconvénients
Design-wise the UI could use an upgrade but functionality this is the best option there is and is better in my opinion than competing Google option.

LOVE Okta
Could not recommend enough. I've had to use so many clunky, annoying access management systems and Okta is better than them all
Avantages
Okta is awesome. Having to use access management software is always annoying, as it delays your ability to start working, but Okta makes it super easy. It never takes more than 5 seconds to get working in the morning
Inconvénients
I wish I could auto-populate my password every time instead of typing it, but realize that's quite nitpicky

Okta for file sharing with auditors
Okta has introduced helpful efficiencies into our internal audit process, allowing for quick, easy document sharing and communication.
Avantages
Our outsourced internal audit team began using Okta this past year to request and obtain documents for their audits. The tool was very easy to learn how to use and job aids provided were sufficient. All applicable users across our organization were set up with access and can log in and filter the list to the items that the auditors have requested from them. Then they can upload the documentation and submit it. There is also a section for questions, comments, and other correspondence back and forth between our staff and the auditors for each item. Items can be recalled and updated with additional documentation as it becomes available. Our staff or the audit staff can easily at any time get a view of request status and determine what items are still open. It makes the audit process very efficient.
Inconvénients
Initially we had some difficulty logging in to the correct portion of the site and had to work with the support team to get that resolved, but since that time it has worked smoothly.

Okta - used for user sign on
Avantages
I like how it's set up well with iOS - you just download an app and whenever you need to double verify your logon, it just send you a push notification and I just need to click accept. Very easy to use.
Inconvénients
There's not much to dislike about this software. I personally don't like double verifying my log on but I understand it's part of security measures we need to take.

Makes my work (and life) much easier - having all the programs available to access from one place
Avantages
When you use a many apps it is almost impossible to remember all their passwords. I tried to writet ALL of them down but I always lose my paper notes. So when you get it with Okta, it is a great relief.
Inconvénients
I have not really found any. Sometimes it works slowly, mainly with dashboard, but I am not sure if it is a general problem.

Saves time

There is at least one program that requires me to type my sign in information. I am not sure if this is a setting on that individual website or if this is an issue with Okta.

Fantastic full-featured password management tool for organizations
Avantages
We started using Okta about 4 months ago after we found it through our non-profit account on Techsoup. (Okta lets non-profits use their software for free!) There are so many features available and we don't even use them all. We use it to assign and remove login rights to various websites to our employees. The great thing about Okta is that you can assign logins to users and they don't have to know the password themselves, this makes it easy to update passwords without having to inform the users. You can also remove rights quickly and easily if employees leave the company or assigned different positions.
Inconvénients
It would be really nice if the software could login to sites that had three required fields (eg. Username, Company ID, and Password)

There are better apps out there
I wish I could use any other authenticator app then this one

Not much to be honest, it works as long as you don't reset your device as then you have to ask your administrator to set it up again.
Inconvénients
I had to use this app as my company policy forced me to do, but I have better authenticator apps that has more features, easier to use and have better design (like Authy)

Great authorization software
I am happy with Okta. It fulfills its purpose in a efficient and easy way.
Avantages
I feel like Okta is simple to use. It has a great mobile app that is easy to use. I also like that it sends a push notification that you use for authorization.
Inconvénients
I think there are some minor bugs to the system. Like the push notification doesn't send quick enough for me to authorize a login.

LOVE IT
It's been time saving and making the agents more efficient. It saves so much time with the one touch log ins. Agents love it as well.
Avantages
I love the fact that i do not have to put my password in multiple times. Okta saves all my passwords for all the apps i need for my job duties. There's even a nice pop up when the passwords get changed.
Inconvénients
Sometimes it times out on my computer and asks me for my token multiple times

I love the fact that I have access to different tools through one software. This saves a lot of time and actually improves concentration and productivity. The software is also very user friendly which is a big plus!

As part of a transition to a new company, our IT team adopted usage of Okta. So far, i have been impressed with it. As an end user, I simply have to log in to our Okta driven portal and then click on any of the business apps my account is granted access to and then use it. Can't be any simpler.

Fast Updates and Great Customer Service
They release good quality updates on a weekly basis. Notice i said QUALITY updates. These guys dont just push out updates to get them out there, they are customer driven updates that just work. And the customer service on the rare occasions you do have to call, is absolutely phenomenal.

Makes my life easier
I use Okta everyday from a users side and a admin side. Okta is very easy to use on both sides ad it makes deploying applications to users very easy. It also integrates so many applications which makes it easy to provision users in your company new applications.
Avantages
many integrations. Universal Directory works amazingly. Great UI for both users and admins.

Currently has issues with Mac and Office365.

Okta makes it easy to log in, but there is room for improvement.
Avantages
Easily log into different sites that we use on a daily basis without needing to enter in credentials every time.
Inconvénients
Sometimes it kicks us out of the sites we're in and requires us to log in again and validate our identity etc. It may be a company policy, but it makes it inconvenient to use.

I personally had issue to recover my password after I forgot it. Probably a too strong authentication that I myself could not recover and had to seek admin support

Okta is a solid choice for SSO.
I really like okta overall and i think its a great choice for any size company.
Avantages
Our team benefitted from using Okta by making it simple and easy to onboard and off-board employees. my housing everything in one place, we didn't have to go searching for things.
Inconvénients
nothing to really report here. it might have been beneficial for okta to expand its offering to do more of what rippling does.
