Okta has been a game-changer for me, and here's why. First off, the "Multiple Authentication Methods" feature is a lifesaver. I can choose how I want to prove I'm me—whether it's a traditional password, a quick PIN, or even my fingerprint. It's like having a personalized security menu, and it makes me feel in control of my account's safety.

The convenience doesn't stop there. Okta's single sign-on (SSO) is a time-saver. I log in once, and it's like having a magic key that opens all my authorized doors. No more juggling a bunch of different passwords.

Plus, the security is top-notch. The platform is proactive with its threat detection, and with the "Multiple Authentication Methods," I feel confident that my accounts are locked down tight. Okta has definitely made my online life easier and more secure.

While Okta has a lot of perks, there are a couple of things that bug me a bit. Firstly, the learning curve was a tad steep for me. Figuring out all the features and settings took some time, and I felt a bit overwhelmed initially.

Another thing is that the platform can get a bit pricey, especially if you need all the advanced features. For smaller budgets, this might be a concern.

Also, sometimes the push notifications for authentication can be a bit too frequent, making me feel like I'm confirming my identity more often than necessary. It's a minor annoyance but worth mentioning.

Despite these quirks, Okta's security features and convenience still make it a solid choice for me.

That every tool/website that I need access to is downloaded, and can search for anything that I would need access to, can also add outside websites to this tool. Even super helpful when we have other departments that need access to other tools, it is set up for that department so they wouldn't have access to tools they shouldn't.

Big bonus is when an individual leaves the company we have one shut down vs multiple spots to shut down.

I do not have any cons about Okta, for my use I find it extremely helpful.

Customer support when things go wrong with integrations. Plenty of finger pointing without much effort to dig in.

I like the dashboard of being able to create schedules and calendars of employees assigned to certain after hour responsibilities.

Inconvénients

When the password prompts you to reset, it won't allow it. It will ask for a security phrase that I was told "has no answer" so you'll never get back in and you have to reach out to customer service to have it reset. None of the security questions you pick are relative.

I really don’t have anything I don’t like about Okta as I have not had any issues with it.

We just switched to Okta last year I believe and at first, we were all concerned about yet another sign in process to start our work days, but Okta really is so simple to use and it even organizes the other apps we need to perform our duties, so it helps keep everything in one place. We all love the way it works!

Its easy for non-tech employees to setup and start using to access company sites. The administrator console allows our engineers to manage users okta settings and access. They have a great portal and the support and sales team have been great to work with.

Okta has had times where it is down and users are not able to sign in. This has affected us during business hours and have a bit of an annoyance.

The cost analysis we did was a better fit for us to go with Okta over Duo. We also are more familiar using it as a team.

Okta is so easy to use with our Office 360 suite and dashboard apps (Splunk, New Relic, PagerDuty). We have internal teams that use it for SSO auth across our application ecosystems, and we use both the web and mobile apps for day-to-day access. I use multi-factor authentication and the setup is simple.

There are occasional redirect bugs and session logouts, but it's not that much of a hassle

The best part about the OKTA is Authentication part.
It is fast, works with low internet connectivity and without any company portal application (in case you are using the okta verify the application.
Other than that, okta is secure medium password management.
I appreciate the stability they provide, easy to use and very very flexible.
You have option to keep multiple ways for authentication and in case you got stuck, recovery/reset of password is very easy

I have not come across any single point which can be LEAST LIKElY.

It's reliable and makes signing into apps I use for work safe and fast. They have a few different vefication methods and they all work smoothly.

Sometimes I do tap on the wrong Y/N buttons by accident - when on autopilot from other apps. Perhaps there can be a slight delay built in as a buffer?

Okta does what Okta says it does, and delivers. Okta doesn't try to be like other competitors (if you can call them that in the space) and does IAM, SSO and Security. It doesn't do 15 things poorly, it does what it does better than anyone else on the market. Okta's support is also insanely good. I've had Okta support trouble shoot an application issue and figure it out before the actual application support even scheduled a call with me. If you want fast a great support, then you really need Okta.

Inconvénients

For smaller organizations the price is higher than others that "offer more". I say offer more, because in reality you get subpar products bundled together that all "kind of" work. Really if your org can afford it, you'll have a top notch product with Okta that is bar none.
