Does what you need it to do
It was a very positive experience and it's almost expectation that every organization I work with should have Okta.
Avantages
I love that this software makes accessing all of my applications easy. It cut down on a lot of the previous issues that we had and was simple to use.
Inconvénients
The double authentication was annoying at times but the app was easy enough to use. I never had an issue logging in to the applications I needed.

Okta keeps you secure
With okta, my mind is at rest concerning having good security over my online accounts.
Avantages
It has a very simple interface and also relevant FAQs with appropriate solutions.
Inconvénients
Options to reset password was difficult for me at a time I did factory reset on my device. I had to contact the admin for assistance.

Authentication Made Easier
Avantages
Its not hard to set up or use if computer savvy. Support is helpful for those less savvy people and the protection provided seems fair for now. I have only been using for a brief period of time.
Inconvénients
Not easy to reset a password if forgotten you will need manager approvals. You have to download an app and use personal cell phone for authentication if you do not have a company phone. Not all employees want to have work applications on personal cell phones.

Must Have Software
Avantages
I use this software daily. In my daily work, I use many different programs/websites. Okta is invaluable to my daily activity. Not only does Okta safely store my passwords, but also launches the applicable website with the click of my mouse.
Inconvénients
On all of my apps within Okta, I am able to click on the settings to actually see my password, except for one. I wish that it would allow it on all of the apps.

Very good identity manager
Avantages

Very flexible SSO
Very positive experience. It does it's job and it does it well. Okta doesn't overcomplicate anything and that makes it a great experience to use.
Avantages
I really like the "My Apps" page within the browser version of the application that lets you sign into other websites you have saved as it helps to consolidate everything into one place that would otherwise be in other applications spread out.
Inconvénients
Nothing in particular, I thought it was pretty intuitive and similar to other MFA methods where it was easy to make the switch over from other MFA's.

Okta makes all your single sign on apps simple to access
Okta is a nicely designed, streamlined, experience for the typical end-user. Making SSO to internal websites and application a breeze to use everyday at work.
Avantages
Okta was great for all our internal company websites and apps. With the single sign on, there was no need to remember a bunch of passwords to different websites or apps. Even if you added external websites to Okta, it would act like a password manager for your websites that you use external from the company. Very easy to navigate layout, and looks nice.
Inconvénients
if any of your password got out of sync with Okta (mostly external sites that don't use SSO), it was a little difficult to understand how to update the password if you are not tech savvy.

Great SSO product
First class SSO experience. They also offer support but we haven't had to rely on it because the product is very easy to use.
Avantages
Integrating Okta into our systems was a breeze and users also report a high level of satisfaction with product. It is definitely a high quality product and is well documented.
Inconvénients
The primary downside if Okta is pricing. It's quite expensive compared to other options, espessialy if you have the option to use something like Active Directory.

Easily manage many things in one place
Avantages
Okta makes it easy to organize many different platforms/sites needed for work. Keeps it all in one place and allows sign-in to be very easy and seamless.
Inconvénients
Sometimes it seems I automatically get logged out of different things and have to log back in right in the middle of me working.

don't ever worry about remembering your passwords ever again
overall my experience has been good. I like that it has the mobile version so that way I can access my work email from my phone with no issues
Avantages
With Okta, you can keep everyting in one place. It keeps all your apps organized and easy to access.
The SSO let's you never to worry again about the multiple passwords of the various apps you might be using at work.
Inconvénients
I changed from a mac to a PC recently an the plugin never worked again. That was one of my favorite features

Used Okta at the last two places I've worked, and it works exceptionally well.
When my previous company switched to using Okta, it was a bit of a learning curve but then immediately we all noticed how easy it was. You just have a browser extension or a website you visit, and you immediately get signed in. It's great.
Avantages
I like that even when something isn't natively supported, we can always request through an IT ticket that it be added, and Okta makes it happen
Inconvénients
Not every SaaS product is supported, so there are workarounds that your IT department has to do.

Excellent SSO application
We recently got acquired by another company and as part of the integration, we started using Okta. So far, I found Okta to be very reliable and the experience has been more than positive.
Avantages
I found Okta ridiculously easy to install, use and access a ton of internal applications. There is no need to remember any passwords, securely signs you into all the necessary applications. The user interface and user experience are of top quality. It takes care of security, integrates easily, and has excellent documentation available.
Inconvénients
For me, there's nothing much to dislike in Okta. I think that the mobile app interface could've been better but no real complaints here.

I like that a 5 year old could login and figure this tool out. You don't have to be an IT expert and this tool is life changing!

There are some flukes with the login in process (sometimes) but for the most part, I like everything about the tool!

The most liked feature is Push method used for log into to your organization websites. We have it configured for our organization and it work like a charm every time and your site is secured from unwanted users.

Simple way to sign in into different websites by saving our credentials.
Avantages
It makes our life easier by logging us in automatically into different websites after we store the credentials once.
Inconvénients
Sometimes it doesn't land on a page that it should but takes us to the home page of the website. For example on salesforce if someone sends us a link to a particular record page sometimes it takes us to the homepage and not the actual record page.

Okta was very easy to onboard and has made my life easier on a daily basis.
Avantages
For apps managed by my company, I couldn't imagine an easier experience than the one offered by Okta. The dashboard of all my tools and a single-click login is very simple.
Inconvénients
While the dashboard of all of my company managed accounts is great, there doesn't seem to be a way to add my personal tools to this. That would give me a one-stop-shop for everything I use.

Never have to remember your ADP password again
Avantages
In todays corporate culture you are using multiple resources and software tools in your day to day. Each tool is asking you to change your password and different intervals making it near impossible to keep up. This takes care of all that for you.
Inconvénients
This is a simple tool, that is effective, any new additions could only make it more complicated without a need. Keep it simple, secure and effective this tool does it all.

Company security seems to be stronger.
Avantages
Long story short: someone's email got hacked into at the firm. The agency implemented the Okta software shortly afterwards. No one's been hacked since so I guess Okta gets the job done.
Inconvénients
All of the two step authentication options are kind of a bummer. When logging in to our work portal, I chose the option of verification code through text message. Sometimes I have to send the code twice.

Avantages
It's easy to use. I log in to Okta to access various platforms for one of my jobs. It's nice that there's only one password to remember and then I have access to the two proprietary sites I need.
Inconvénients
It can be a little confusing at first. I didn't quite realize that everything was housed under Okta and that I didn't have to log in individually.

Takes the stress away
Avantages
Okta is a great tool that allows me to confidently store my login info for all the different software apps I use for work. I don't have to worry about things getting stolen due to the 2 step authentication I have applied. Great product!
Inconvénients
This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but every so often I will have to log in several times on the same day, even if I don't move my computer. I'm not sure what causes the re-login screen to pop up, but keeping me logged in while at work would make it less of a pain to access my apps. But that also shows how important security is.

Super easy to use and provides more security
Avantages
It's super easy to use and set up. The instructions that it provides is well written. I didn't have to track down my coworkers to set it up. There's a phone app that I set up to push a notification to my phone so I can approve verifications quickly. That is my favorite feature.
Inconvénients
If you don't have a smartphone using this could be rather difficult or if you don't have enough storage on your phone to download the app. When I first set it up I had to quickly type in the code that was generated and sometimes it would not be enough time for you to type in your code.

Great security measure
I like it, has great security, as well as the 2 step authenticator on your phone makes verification that much faster

I like the one stop shop nature of OKTA. Once you log in through the initial portal you can access any of the programs assigned to you.
Inconvénients
Some of the dependency on OKTA, for some programs, once you have logged in you can re-access the software via Url, however, some require you to go back to OKTA which is an inconvenience.

It is a way to secure passwords. Once you get the hand of it and set it up it is pretty usable.
Inconvénients
It signs you out a lot which is a hassle. If you are not near your phone you get stuck with the 2 factor auth. I don't fully get how to use the Okta dashboard.

Okta provides security that doesn't create burdensome obstacles
I use Okta every day to navigate to Salesforce, Gong, our DAM, Motivosity, and several other applications we use daily. I like how easy it is to get to these applications and that from an end-user's perspective I don't think about the security element of it much at all. It just helps me do my job.

Okta provides security that doesn't create burdensome obstacles. I love that Okta is really easy to verify with. It also serves as a centralized page to find all sorts of applications that I use every single day. It even allows you to customize the order of the applications so you aren't searching for the ones you use more regularly. I really love the Okta Extension on Google. It makes life so much easier.
Inconvénients
I haven't experienced this, but some people have had to verify more often than they would like. I think for most people, it just does it automatically.

Single Sign In w/ Okta is Easy!
Avantages
It's very simple to log in and then have all of my work applications there so I don't have to continue signing in to each individual application. The mobile push function is also very quick and useful.
Inconvénients
At times I think I've clicked the Remember Me button when signing in which should allow me to stay logged in for 30 days, (I think) but it kicks me back out when I reopen the page. May be my mistake.

I love the homepage that allows me to access all of my work links. It's nice to only remember a single password. It's also very simple that the dual verification happens through a phone app.

Great Tool!
It definitely solves the identity and access management problem for a company. It is the best product on the market.
Avantages
I like how simple it is to log in to all of my devices with the Okta login and verification. It is great that it syncs with all of my devices.

the only thing that I do not like is if you do not have your phone with you and you send a push verification you cant log in until you confirm on your phone,

The SSO feature which is very critical and essential when you work with multiple products within the same organization. You have to remember only single password for all your integrated products. Multiple factor authentication makes it more secure.

SSO Made Easy
Okta has made accessing applications that are used daily throughout the organization easy. Managing user's access to specific applications based on a role is simplified through Okta as well.
Avantages
Ease of use. Being able to manage user access to applications through a single portal. AD integration makes this a very powerful tool and simplifies the end-user experience for accessing needed applications and tools. The Chrome plugin is also a nice touch.
Inconvénients
I made the switch to Okta a few months ago and have no complaints. It manages everything that is needed through an SSO platform.

Solid, but some flaws

We use Okta to protect our mobile devices and it definitely serves that purpose.

Sometimes the verify process causes issues and you have to restart your browser or you get locked out of the system. That can be frustrating.

I like that I can minimise the amount of passwords I need to remember as Okta allows single sign on to a lot of platforms I use day to day, and the TFA (two factor authentication - via the Okta app) means that I am double secure when I log in.
Inconvénients
visually I have seen prettier layouts when logging in to an application management platform, but again, I feel like I am grasping at straws as this does what it needs to do

Allows you to integrate multiple systems/software into one single sign on, allows multi factor authentication, allows user and permission based software management, can request additional software, and customize. Supported on the mobile too!
Inconvénients
Getting authentication or permission to anything hosted on premises can be pricey and require special knowledge, hardware, and setup.

I use it every day, with it I get into all the apps the company wants me to access.
Avantages
I like it that I can get access with a single password to all my company services, I have a beautiful extension where I can see all of the service, just click and I get logged immediately

some times I find it hard to reset my passowrd, I need to ask my managers to reset it for me, tha may be good to improve

Okta - Great for Single Signin
This allows us to not have to remember all passwords or set up individual logins. It uses single signon authentication, I am not sure if it is LDAP or AD. With its function it seems to be more AD oriented.
Avantages
It allows employees to login to all protected and critical software or websites needed at the company.
Inconvénients
Sometimes it does not always work, but that is common with ALL softwares. It definitely has an uptime of 99%.

Okta rocks
My company has been using Okta for about a year now. All I really have to say is that it's awesome. We rarely have to unlock user accounts anymore, and everybody seems to know where to go to access their apps and resources. OKTA!
Avantages
Literally, stores all your credentials and logs you into 1000s of apps and webpages. Customer support is amazing as well!!!
Inconvénients
The only cons I can think of are the one day when Dyn was going through a DDoS attack, half of our users couldn't access Okta. Also, I can see where people could forget their passwords altogether after sustained use of Okta.

It is super easy to use and makes getting into all the necessary tools so much easier!

Easy layout and features
I like using Okta as it is easy to understand and employ. There is not much overall that I miss from this software.
Avantages
I like this software due to its concise and easy design, which makes the software easy to use. It has some great functionalities that makes it easy to understand and use.
Inconvénients
The design within the software is perhaps a bit boring - it could've looked a bit more modern and functional.

Easy all in one sign in
Pretty great system with very little issues, occasional sign outs but nothing too crazy
Avantages
Easy way to sign into all of your work programs at once.
Inconvénients
Password resets happen frequently and doe not give a list of previous passwords

Centralize authentication and authorization for cloud service
We use Okta for single sign-on and security purpose for all publish internal and external sites. We integrate many different services into Okta like ServiceNow, AWS, Webex, Splunk... We use Active Directory to assign the user role to have their permission access for Services with a suitable role.
Avantages
Okta support integrate with hundred popular software including cloud services like AWS, AppDynamics or on-premise. With Okta is well integrate with Active Directory to assign user's access right for Applications base on their group or role instead of detail access for each Application. Okta displays all of the apps that our staff have permission to access. Good support on both Webform and Mobile App.
Inconvénients
Okta works great and I almost do not have any complaint about it just it does not support for Azure so we have to use a different tool for Azure authentication and its user interface is too simple so hard for manage when the user has a large number of access Services

Great for tool management and mobile access
Avantages
This tool makes it easy to provide access to office tools and access them from home or on the go. It is single sign-on so I don’t have to log in every time. When I’m on the app it verifies me and I am good to go from there. The look of it is intuitive with the tiles for each tool.
Inconvénients
The Touch ID setting does not stay on and I have to select not to question me for 30 days, I wish this was automatically selected so I don’t have to remember. I wish there was a way to organize or personalize the tool order, maybe alphabetically or by the most used ones
