Great Platform for Space Management
Avantages
Space Management and Move Management are what we use the most, and I like how easy it is to use them. It was simple to understand and easy to pick up. The broad model of the application is based on a few fundamental ideas in facilities management, and everything else (including space, maintenance, real estate, etc.) may be added from there. This allows for customized operations while maintaining the centralization of the data. which I favor's most

Connecting our HR software's staff list to the FMS: Workplace program has also been difficult. the rest is fine

Avantages
FMS Workplace has been so beneficial to our company! We use the platform to submit office moves, schedule preventative maintenance, track assets, and lease agreements. It is easy to use and a great tool for all of these items.
Inconvénients
I still struggle a bit with creating reports, but FM University has helpful tips when creating a new one.

FMS Workplace
I have been disabled with the support. A change was made to the system a couple of months ago and they FMS support can't seem to fix the problem. Currently as the system right now I would not recommend.
Avantages
I don't have any Pros about the system. It does just enough to get by, but it works slow. I might would not be so disappointed if it was not so slow to use.
Inconvénients
It is very slow. It is frustrating trying to even assign work as it takes so long for changes to be made. Saves can take as long as 15-20 seconds and even longer at times. It has a very old feel of an interface. There are way to many fields that are not needed that make the interface take up the entire page. It is not customizable. Reports can not be customized by the administrator. Yes you can export but even then if you choose export it exports the entire page of data instead of a way to select. The only reason the product was chosen was because of space planning part and it included the maintenance part and it was the product at their previous location. It was selected by someone who had never used maintenance specific system. But that individual also was told that system was administrator customizable such as required fields etc.

Had a good experience in general, I think some of what I don't like is because of what modules the account is paying for.

I think the system in general is good, the graphics are ok.

I dislike the problems that we have with the interface with our HR data system

Space Management
With FMS Workplace Space Management, we have provided our decision makers and end users with direct access and insight into their space data for their respective. We have also streamlined our state reporting submission process making it more effective and efficient, and allows us to dedicate more time to other needs and areas of improvement.
Avantages
Clean and simple user interface makes it easy to navigate. Native integration with AutoDesk makes the integration process with facility floor plans smart and seamless.
Inconvénients
Would like to see integration expand and grow into site level plans that allow for the big picture to be displayed and visualized.

Easy to use, great for our Facilities team when planning space and moves.
Avantages
FMS:Workplace is an amazing tool which helps us best plan our space. The system is fairly easy to use as well.
Inconvénients
The biggest issue we had was internal, just getting everyone on board at first. But the system itself is amazing.

Great System to get space management
Avantages
The best thing which i like about this software is that it is very easy to use and widely accepted and help company to reduce cost and increase productivity by getting real insights it also help me to get the Space Reservation and tracking feature which help our company to get accurate result

As of now i am a new user i did not get any thing which i don't like about this software it help me and my organization in each and every aspect , its a great tool and i highly recommend it to everyone

Versatile Solution for Workplace Management
Avantages
FMS:Workplace changed the way we do workplace and real estate data management. Its flexibility and ease of use during the implementation process made it very easy to adjust, and our team needed minimal training to jump in.
Inconvénients
While this software is very functional, certain modules allow so much customization that when starting out, it may feel a bit overwhelming. However, once set up, it becomes an immense tool for daily operations.

Sensible and Direct to the Point software for Office Space utilization
Overall, the data visualization of the software is excellent for visual learners who better understand the flow of management directions when presented with graphics.
Avantages
A lot of people don't realize they are visual learners, and they grasp information best when they can visualize data or information. As someone who belatedly learned to be a visual learner and was able to be much more productive, the data visualization in the interface is a great help when planning for space implementation / distribution / management.
Inconvénients
As someone who is not tech savvy; while I appreciate the interface, the ability to do a lot of things is great but the interface will take a while to learn to navigate through. In our workplace, this is a challenge for people who are not technologically proficient, and an individual's ability to grasp and digest usability will vary depending on their experience.

Overall, technical support is great but the cost for support is ridiculous. Support is not always willing to help with upgrades and patches.
Avantages
AutoCAD Integration is seamless.
Floor Plan viewing is easy.
Inconvénients
Reporting is difficult to set up. You almost need a coding background. They are not beginner level friendly
Tables are confusing to navigate which, Example naming of Items in A0, N0 tables and what items corespond to one another.

Great solution for centralizing all facets of the Facilities world into a single, robust...
Avantages
As an IT Administrator of the tool, we are able to easily configure the application to support the different Facilities processes. The general model of the tool revolves around the few key concepts of Facilities Management and everything can be built out from there (space, maintenance, real estate, etc.) allowing for customized processes while still keeping the data centralized. This allows for reporting and analysis at a detailed level (perfect for engineers, space planners, property administrators, etc.) as well as at higher levels for Facilities Managers and Executives.
FM Systems, as a company, provides various tools for IT admins to manage and create in the tool including an amazing customer portal with all documentation, blogs, forums, and webinars that allow for constant learning and communication with both the company and other FM Systems users. In addition, when customer support is needed, the team is knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to contact.
I also like how the user experience can be tailored to accommodate different skill sets and job descriptions. There are many functional components that most software packages would require an IT skill set to be able to execute. With FM:Interact, things like customizing a view, writing/scheduling/running reports, etc. are easy enough that, with a little training, we are able to empower the business to make the solution their own. We are also able to "turn these things off" for users that don't need them.
Inconvénients
Our implementation is currently hosted on-premise. While the IT overhead of hosting the software is not high (especially compared to other solutions), I do want to explore the option of FM hosting to further reduce that overhead. This will allow us to take advantage of the updates faster and get the latest-and-greatest features into the business' hands.

Avantages
Being able to track everything is important to our organization, so being able to search and make reports is a great function of this software.
It always has the potential to improve and evolve so things like the app for technicians or the analytics solution are nice to see a company develop.
Inconvénients
The cost of this software poses some difficulty with our organization and it seems like if you want anything extra or custom, you will need to pay on top of the annual subscription.
It has also been a challenge to connect our HR software for the employee list to the FMS:Workplace software.

I have been a client for over 6 years we use it for space planning , asset management and...
Because of the ease of use we were able to role this out to a larger user group , which help decentralize some of Facility Managements work load . Move Coordinators for each department can submit move requests that just need approval from Facilities the data is all input buy the user. Seating plans are easily viewed on line and employee directories all employees to find an employees location easily .
Avantages
Easy to use , can be configured to your business, ASP is reliable , you only buy the modules you need . FM Systems provides great customer support services I have had great experiences
Inconvénients
We have been very happy with the product the new product releases have really improved usability and performance . The only con is making multiple entries is very cumbersome you can only make one change at a time. For example when entering an asset there is no copy feature when adding multiple or when editing space type you need to edit each record form. It would be nice to use a spread sheet view in addition to a form view to enter records . For large changes FM Systems support services can do batch uploads .

Avantages
Space definition, usage, funding, drawings, photos and reports are pragmatic and accurate.
Integration with existing systems depends on how the system is used for primarily. Generally it's not easy but doable.
Inconvénients
Customer supports sometimes are sketchy and inconsistency.

FIMS improves my daily work efficiency
Avantages
FIMS enables us to centralize all Facilities work orders across the university-wide. It absolutely helps improve the efficiency of receiving and processing work requests.
Inconvénients
It doesn't look fancy on both Admin and User interface, but you will get used to it soon. Functionality is more important after all!

A great means to track your maintenance and real estate portfolio.
Avantages
The cost of the product fits our business. It is not complicated to use and the technicians like it. Their customer service is second to none.
Inconvénients
The out of the box functionality is limited, thus requiring a lot of customization. Be prepared to assign a full time administrator to the implementation team, someone who can work directly with the customer support team to customize the software to meet your business needs.

The thing I like most is the ability to include the various modules (asset tracking, service requests, etc.) including uploading documents.
Inconvénients
The thing I like the least is that it sometimes is very slow, gets caught in a buffering cycle, and will freeze. It is also fairly complex to make changes without going to customer service.

Once everything is set up it manages itself and is easy for most to use. We have techs that are not great with computers and can still use the system affectively
Inconvénients
That it can be hard to fix issues without making phone calls. Always a hassle dealing with internal IT and your techs.

Efficiently administers moves. Great functionality between website and AutoCAD. Database itself is fairly easy to work with.
Inconvénients
Users do not find it intuitive. A lot of configuration work required by admins. When functionality changes, existing features inevitably break.

Configurability is great and most out-of-the-box tool are very usable from the start. the new FMx reporting and floorplans are great.
Inconvénients
there is still some legacy things that havent been yet converted over to the new html5 standard. At time the provider is short on resources and support might be hard to get.
