Great app for frequent customers

Avantages

I have been using Clover Go since 2016. In a food truck and I was using that product since is very easy friendly and most customers they were very familiarized with it. Great and totally recommend it.

Inconvénients

I thought it would be easy to find it again because I am a frequent customer from the food truck but they swap to another product. I wish clover does something to keep customers using it.

Awesome

Avantages

Fast easy cool design mobile devices ! It doesn't run off communication with other computers like our previous system, it runs alone , communicates via internet like an app, so this makes for no interruptions in device like previous system . If we had one computer down with old system it would stop business but this system runs smooth with one computer shit down or turned off , doesn't stop us !

Inconvénients

Wifi dependent it does depend on internet to run , unless you download the At and t service to your mobiles but we have excellent service here so that's rarely and issue , but like I said there is a way around that prob with the at&t download I just am cheap

Using Clover with QuickBooks

Clover was easy to use and easy to set up with QuickBooks. I would recommend it to other clients.

Avantages

I like that you can have Clover integrate with Quickbooks to brings sales data directly into the file

Inconvénients

I wish Clover was better about explaining how they take out their fees monthly with clients and importing that in with sales deposits. My client had trouble with this each month because sometimes they would reduce deposits and sometimes they would just charge the fee so she always had to search to figure out what happened.

close of day and reporting is a little off at times. they close out the day based on eastern time and I am in the west.

Absolutely Fantastic

Avantages

I love the Clover Go system. Capturing payment on our mobile devices is easy, secure and intuitive. The dashboard on the website is fantastic. I have not used an easier system than Clover Go. My company has used many credit card processing solutions.

I have not a single complaint about Clover Go.

Works great for payment processing

Avantages

I have not had any technological issues with the Clover machine. Payments are very easy to take and you can send receipts various ways.

Inconvénients

The initial fees for this machine were very high in my opinion. I also wish the machine was portable and wireless. Customer service was difficult to deal with.

Not the best

It’s an okay system but there are better options out there.

Avantages

It’s a very good and fast point of sale. You can create items and categories and even do gift cards!!!

Inconvénients

Having to pay a monthly fee is what makes me quit using it all together. I’d rather just pay a fee per card than paying to use it per month.

Stay Away from Clover

Not happy with this software at all, I would never use them again. Once my lease is up with them I'm done.

Avantages

The only good thing about this software is that it has a lot of nice features and mobile options. You can have a register for a brick and mortar or you can get a mobile device to take for special events and pop up shops.

Inconvénients

There equipment is overpriced and they lock you into a lease so tight it's not funny! Customer service is poor, lot's of hidden fees are being charged and it's very hard to get someone on the phone to speak too.

Avantages

Clover is a very easy to use POS system. I see it as a great functioning system for coffee shops, retail, very small operations.

Inconvénients

This POS system was not built for full-service restaurants doing any type of volume. We switched out of it because we did too much volume.

So many features and options, the sky is the limit

Overall, I highly recommend seamless integration. Great customer experience. As far as their payment processing goes, analytical data is great. Customer service side is great! Gift cards awesome tracking your customer sales versus other businesses amazing

The compatibilities amazing all the features in different apps you can download simply amazing. It works great. It can do so many things with analytics, customer tracking, customer satisfaction, gift cards, a great product all around

Inconvénients

The learning curve in the product supporter a little tricky but once you have it down in a good contact you're good to go. Really nice for customer analytics but it makes a little difficult. The other thing I don't like is having to pay à la carte for each thing

Love the Convience

Using Clover

Avantages

We process our credit cards transactions through Clover. We have been using it for a few months. Processing a payment by swiping the card and by manually entering the cards information is simple and very efficient. When needing to search back transactions to void them, they are simple to find and easy to void. This makes finalizing the day quite simple and less painful.

Inconvénients

I do not have any cons towards the Clover app.

Definately Worth It

Fewer people are using cash which means there has to be a way to process credit cards. I was able to accept credit card and deposit it directly into my savings account.

Avantages

I was not initially interested in using credit card for my small practice but I mus admit it made life easier. It was easy to set up and customer service was very helpful. Even if the card is not present you are easily able to process payment.

Inconvénients

It was super easy to use. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to save credit card access for future use.

Unnecessarily heavy in the back end and terrible customer support

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy

Avantages

It looks nice and UX looks easy but in reality, it isn't. Truly hated the entire process of start to end. On the service line with them for an hour trying to get a refund for the months i have not used.

Inconvénients

Their support seems like they actively try to NOT help and push it to other departments to just get rid of the problem. The problem being the customer.

Clover - Retail/Art Studio

We are overall really happy for the price point. We do have a few things we would change, and we would like to see the glitches fixed.

Avantages

Clover is quick for training of new employees. We like the options for additional apps and absolutely LOVE the round up with Donors Choose.

Inconvénients

We have hit a few glitches - we cannot return after processing a payment with a split tender. We have 3 instances where the system has processed a payment but at the end the order is still "open", this issue is still being resolved with customer service.

Ditch the physical buy X get 1 free cards

Does a great job tracking my loyalty points so I can claim rewards at places I enjoy making repeat visits to.

Avantages

Easy to install and use, tracks my purchases at select local establishments and knows where I am by location.

Inconvénients

Had to migrate from an app of a previous name that I now forget. Sometimes won't connect with the register, but this is rare and a receipt can be printed with a code to enter afterwards to claim rewards points.

Nice for Rewards and Payments

Customer support and integration did not go well. There is a reason we no longer use Clover. They were going to be way more expensive for the terminals we needed.

Avantages

I really liked that there are rewards options available for each store location. This is a fun way to engage with customers. Clover also has a way to keep the phone numbers of patrons, so the rewards are integrated seamlessly without us having to manage them.

Inconvénients

The software is ok and pretty easy to set up. The contact that we had with their company was not positive. We did not go with the ultimately because of the cost and the unwillingness to integrate with the software we already had. It may be good for a restaurant, but not a telecom.

Could be better

The Clover station could be a whole lot more business friendly if they would act on in-put from the user. Also, I would like to use some of the 3rd party apps they have available, but at this point am not willing to pay additional fees for a POS, there are enough fees for a business owner as is.

Avantages

I like the ability to go on line and see real time what my sales are, by category and server and the ability to print reports.

Inconvénients

The biggest problem I've experience with the Clover station is there is no app to start/keep tabs. As a bar, this is key for my business. I figured out a work around, but it's not ideal. I believe I was misled on how the Clover Station would work for my business. I've asked repeatedly to get the app for Tabs available on the station, but have not had any feedback/response from Clover. Any response would be appreciated, even if it was "never gonna happen." Also, I would have liked the appearance better if it was available in black. The white color doesn't really fit my decor.

constantly run into system problems with no ending sight. software design is very poor with features and functionalities are not working together well.

Clover

We got Clover POS terminal for our diner. We added Clover mini and we took down old kitchen wheel and replaced it with printer connected to POS system. Could not be happier with our choice. System upgrades by itself with no extra charge. At the beginning we spent quite some time on the phone with support. I am proficient user of Aloha and system was new to us. eryone was very helpful. Tech team was able to log in with our permission into system and fix or adjust anything and everything we needed. Without additional chargers.
Only thing we don't like about it is emloyees are able to open tables and access other functions without being clocked in. They r able as well access each others tables. We keep a close eye on the floor however with a larger operation I can see this being a sourse of problems.
Tracking sales, number of items sold, average ticket size, accurate reporting is a breeze.
Overall its a great system for the price we paid compared to other restaurant POS Systems out there.

Way to go Clover.

Saved the business, from traditional old school register to simple POS system, Clover you win.

Avantages

Great POS system. Used in a small cafe and the system worked out perfect. I was able to edit the menu and change pricing when needed.

Inconvénients

Occasionally would run slow, I think updates may have been needed.

Clover is fairly easy to use. Process of end of day closing is simple. Refunds are super simple as well.

Highly recommend. It was very fast to setup and amazingly helpful

It's incredibly easy to setup and add and manage items, and also change their pricing. I used it in a bakery business but I really recommend it for any kind of business.

Inconvénients

Clover doesn't have a wide range of compatible printers, so you have to "adapt" to the available ones. The backend is also not so easy to integrate with third party software and tools

Great Mobile Solution for Credit Card Payments

Avantages

With Clover we are now able to take credit card payments easily and track our cash payments as well on the go. The dashboard is a great app as well as we can track our sales on the go. We really love the inventories option as we can sell tickets to multiple different attractions and keep track of the different categories monthly for reporting purposes.

Inconvénients

The only issue I have run into is getting the dashboard app to run correctly on an Android phone. It works with all of the features on Apple phones, but is very limited in functionality and reporting on the Android platform.

The versatility that allows absolute customization with a wide variety of apps that are easily integrated.

Subscription prices for each app. it can quickly add up to a few hundred bucks and I wasn't happy with their poor customer service. Hard to get help when you need it.

Point of sale for the small business

Used as out initial POS system when opened a taproom. As we grew we outgrew the system. We could have upgraded the system to continue to use but even that process was convoluted

Avantages

Easy to use and program for basic point of sale system.

Inconvénients

Report was convoluted and confusing. There were additional apps you could purchase in addition to monthly fees. Monthly fees were very, very reasonable.

Happy for many years

I’ve been using Clover POS since I started my business a little over 2 years ago. 2 years later, I’m still super happy!

Inconvénients

Manual card entry requires a signature. I’d Iike to be able to take payments over the phone without a signature and haven’t found a way to do that.

Cumbersome but Functional

Avantages

Like being able to see my POS data remotely either via PC or via Clover app for my phone.

Inconvénients

I use it mostly for payroll and the Employee reports are not functional. Unless I'm missing something, I have to export the data and summarize/total by employee. This is not a problem when I'm at a computer but if I'm travelling I can't get to the data easily. Also don't like the Beginning of Day and end of day functionality.

Avantages

I was introduced to this software while I was visiting my favorite store. This product is very user friendly and I am able to earn reward points that I am able to use on future purchases. This product is very sleek looking and I love that I am able to access it from my phone.

Inconvénients

I do not have any negative feedback regarding this software.

Great Point of Sale payment processor for Small Companies

Great product for going to trade shows and selling products there remotely and when they don't buy from the website. It is quick to make an amount they need to pay.

Avantages

I like that I only had to pay for the unit that hooks to my phone and then there is no monthly fee unless I need more features.

Inconvénients

No way to take a payment without or with bad internet and then hold for later until there is service.

Don't use Clover for your commerce, customer service is the worst

Frustrating

Avantages

They do not set you up for protection. I have been in business for 10 years and just had 6 charge backs in a month.

Inconvénients

The customers service is awful. They ask for a review at the end and then hang up. It happened to me several times

Super Easy for small business retail establishments

Super easy, user friendly, gets the job done

Avantages

Really easy to set up users, restrict permissions, run daily, monthly, quarterly reports

wish I could do partial refunds without needing card information again

Works Just Perfectly

Overall this app is easy to use, quick, and efficient for both the business and the user.

Avantages

I use Clover for local business 'reward' tracking.
Clover works great, it tracks your points/visits, allows you to 'check in' and shows rewards you have earned. I like that the business can see your profile once you have 'checked in' in order to easily give you the points. It's also very easy to look on the app for other local businesses that use Clover.

Inconvénients

I don't have any suggestions for what to improve on this app. I do wish it were more popular, though! Not many businesses use it around my location.

Excellent for payments and small businesses!

For me it is the best platform to take payments, it processes them easily and it has a very good design.

Avantages

Clover it is very simple to use, convenient and compatible for every small business starting to grow.

Inconvénients

Sometimes the software slows down for a bit, but other than that Clover is fantastic!

Great Point of Sales Program

Easy to use.

Avantages

We have multiple techs that use the clovergo app to run payments in the field and it shows up instantly on the back end on the desktop site for our office to put payments into our other programs. Very simple platform both mobile and desktop site.

Inconvénients

We used to use an older Ipad but the mobile app started to fail. You need to have more updated mobile software to run the app.

NOT For full service restaurants.

The system was misrepresented at the time of the sale. Ow I’m having to get an attorney involved to send it back.

Avantages

It looks nice.

Inconvénients

Can’t merge checks, can’t track daily food vs alcohol for servers or bartenders, freezes up, have to buy separate extremely loud printers for the bar, combines sales taxes and tips as “total” sales, no way to see if anyone is still clocked in until Homebase emails you at 2am, will let any server use another servers cash drawer, uses to much paper in the kitchen printer, handhelds or “flexes” don’t communicate with bar or kitchen printers. Doesn’t do coursing, you have to program individual mods instead of the ability to select multiple or “build” them per order.

Love this product!

Avantages

I absolutely love my Clover! It is simple to use. The Clover Mini which we use allows multiple users so we know exactly who ran each transaction. There are a ton of apps to dowload for anything that the Clover doesn’t do on its own!

Inconvénients

It has been sensitive to motion. We like to move the Clover out of the window before we lock up our office for the day. After a few months we needed to get a replacement Clover because it kept giving us an error message. It was easy to set up the replacement, but I don’t really have any other cons!

Clover

The overall performance of the product met and exceeded our expectation.

Avantages

For a POS software program it was easy to setup and establish the account we needed for our fundraising event

Inconvénients

Price, customer support was most excellent. We need to have customer support assist us on obtain a card reader they went above and beyond by overnight shipping in time for a event and basically saved the day

Outstanding

Avantages

Easy to Setup and user friendly. Statistics and performance reports are excellent. History of performance is great.

Inconvénients

None, but bilingual customer support will be nice to have in spanish speaking regions like Puerto Rico.

Simple and effective method for tracking card payments and costs

We do all of our credit and debit card business with clover for years now and have had absolutely no reason to consider changing services.

Avantages

Having all my credit and debit info in one simple location that's easy to access and user friendly for creating reports.

Inconvénients

The mandatory changing of the password. I appreciate the security but coming up with continuously changing passwords is a nuisance.
