Really amazing
Avantages
It's so much better then Xactly, the incumbent. It's clean, easy to use and the team loves it.
Inconvénients
Sometimes it's hard to get a breakdown on a specific deal. The granularity of reporting could be better.

Finally I can see accurate commissions!
It is amazing and creates a very helpful gap between the Sales and Finance team.
Avantages
I love how I can always be up to date on my commissions without having to do the math myself. I still keep track of my commission myself to double check but Spiff has been great.
Inconvénients
I used to not like that there wasn't an app for Android...but there is now and I love it. Thank you guys.

A different company under Salesforce
Unfortunate timing for us with the acquisition but it’s fair to say we are the first to experience the shift of Spiff.com under Salesforce. Having done my research on Salesforce M&A strategy they appear to follow a similar pattern of acquiring the #2 option in the market and amplifying sales across their existing customer base.
As you can imagine, a rapid influx of sales as they pivot to driving sales through the existing customers of Salesforce which very quickly overwhelmed them and the cracks start to form in implementation and ongoing support. It’ll take them 12-24 months to get on top of things as they churn out their talent and need to rebuild the lost knowledge. This is especially painful because you rely on their success team for items you would expect to be self-managed through an admin portal, thus the lost talent is going to be a major issue.
We’ve been pushed to move on to the latest platform of Spiff.com which has been positioned to us as “not really ready” but you can imagine this was a key part of the acquisition strategy and they’ll be moving forward with it prematurely, fixing on the fly and/or rolling back until it’s stable.
It’s worth stating the obvious here but this is commission software that, when errors occur, greatly impact the revenue operations team and eventually the general morale of the sales team. You could argue that one month of errors is somewhat acceptable but a second month with the same errors is simply unacceptable and a third month was enough for us to have to take our business elsewhere. And despite Spiff acknowledging these issues, they simply pointed to the 2 year contract with the expectation of us continuing to partner with them.
If you need an example of this, just look at SFDC CPQ, previously Steelbrick. An application that has had little to no innovation and has become a bundled offering in the SFDC suite of tools. We have pivoted to Dealhub in this area for that reason.
Our move to CaptivateIQ is a breath of fresh air and what required days/weeks of internal discussions at Spiff.com is something we are simply able to manage ourselves. The sales team are happy again and our rev ops team is no longer consumed by a single application. Glad we pulled the plug when we did before we realised churn in our organisation attributable to Spiff.com (sounds extreme but it had become a major issue in our employee surveys).
Happy to speak to anyone privately before you make a decision on a commission tool for your business given how in depth our knowledge is in this area. For example, on the surface Spiff.com and CaptivateIQ appear to be very similar but the sync time from SFDC to Spiff.com is ~2 hours so an AE is unable to see wins in real time.
Avantages
A decent set of folks trying to do the right thing if they had the bandwidth.
Inconvénients
Terrible customer support which they admitted was a symptom of the acquisition. Same issues month in and month out impacted the morale of our sales org significantly. Our rev ops team has since implemented CaptivateIQ and the difference in the quality of the product and service is night and day.

Been looking for this for 6 years
It's been fantastic overall. The support is good, the product is easy, it's aesthetically pleasing, and it solves the biggest thing occupying a sales guy's mind: what am I getting paid?
Avantages
Massive time savings and puts my mind at ease. If there are disputes between what I think I am owed and what the company thinks, it's visible at all times and I can raise attention to it. Now it's nobody's fault but mine if I don't get paid what I think I should
Inconvénients
nothing, yet. An ability to refresh the sync between Salesforce a little more often might be nice

Clear Commission Software for Sales Reps
Avantages
I love how Spiff lays out the specific commission amount for each pay period, so there's no confusion about what you'll earn for a month's commission check.
Inconvénients
I wish the commission breakdown was a little more detailed for each sale, so we know exactly why we're getting paid a certain amount on a deal.

Great way to stay on top of your commissions almost in real time.
Knowing where exactly I stand commission wise in an always up to date fashion is invaluable and Spiff helps achieving it with ease and clarity.
Avantages
Knowing where I stand all the time from a commission standpoint is a great advantage, taking away surprises and allowing me to anticipate problems as well as identify errors or mistakes. Easy overall view of the values with drilldown on details and the possibility to report problems.
Inconvénients
Lack of filtering by date, for instance, all earnings this quarter, last quarter, this year... The ability to export the information would be helpful as well.

It has been very easy to use so far and the team has been very good at getting us set up and answering questions that we have.

Nice graphical interface there for look of page is professional.

Spiff helped us reach a high level of transparency as the commission record became clearer for all members and this reduced objections at all levels. Spiff also enhanced the capabilities of the organization's officials to evaluate the performance of sales teams based on proven facts, which improved the competitiveness of team members.
Avantages
Spiff is very easy to use and helps us by providing and integrating all the information related to our commissions on one page. We can see all the deals that were closed during a specific period and accurately know the sum of the commissions associated with them. It's excellent that Spiff helps us study offers in detail and automatically calculates everything in detail, saving us hours that we used to spend in the past on commission calculations because our compensation plan was way too complicated to manage. Spiff has provided us with the required transparency in compensation plans, enabling managers to obtain accurate summaries, including all the details they need to understand, which speeds up the approval process. I also appreciate the handy charts, analytics, and reports as they save much time when it comes to data validation.
Inconvénients
Spiff is perfect to a large extent, but it depends on the size of the user's knowledge of the platform's work as required, and access to the smooth handling of all tools requires completing the training period and acquiring the skills needed, and this will not take much time.

Spiff makes it easy for sales leaders to set goals and line up those goals with what each rep wants to achieve. I care about my reps and they care about reaching their potential, Spiff has added a visual reason for me to line up my goals with theirs and create belief in what they're doing. I love everything about it, but the conversation that have come from showing my reps where they are in their earnings, have bee unique!

Avantages
This product is very friendly to use, has easy navigation, and is time saving which is a huge benefit. This software has made calculating commissions hassle free, it has helped reduce commissions errors and has the versatility to deal with all the complexity of our commission tiers. It is hands down amazing.

Visibility into Sales Comp
I don't have to wait until the end of the month to see what I'm making in commissions.

I like that Spiff provides me with commission information in real-time as deals close.

Great so far
It's been great so far. Very easy way to keep tabs on what I'm being paid and to know what to expect.
Avantages
Spiff has been great for tracking commissions and making sure that I have full visibility into what I'm making each month. It's easy to use and has a seamless interface.
Inconvénients
The organization of closed deals is a little frustrating because I have to scroll really far down and it feels as though it could be better organized. My top tab of commissions is really separated from the guaranteed commission and clawback tabs. I also could use a few more tiles up top such as one that shows my pro-rated annual quota since I started mid-year.

Spiff is AMAZING!!
I really do love this software and it has been so helpful to me as a whole. I believe this is going to go places.
Avantages
I absolutely love that the software has completely allowed me to delete all of my excel sheets, saved me from countless headaches of calculating my commissions and allows me to understand what I should expect from my next commission check. Absolutely amazing!
Inconvénients
I wish I could make an edit to the software as a whole or make a specific request to an edit without having to directly talk with my manager or VP. An ability to message, or request an edit from my superiors would make things extremely convenient!

Amazing Product!
Avantages
There are many things that I have found valuable with Spiff but the thing we like the most is the transparency it gives to the sales reps. Before Spiff we would spend hours making "commission sheets" to help show the sales rep why they were getting paid certain amounts on each deal. With Spiff the sales rep can see it in real time.
Inconvénients
The only issue we are currently have (although it is being fixed) is how long it takes to refresh our data. Since we have a lot of deals closing each day it takes ~30min for the entire dataset to refresh

Love it so far
It was been great so far! I hate claw backs... but having what offices cancelled and knowing how that affects my check right in front of me makes it really nice.

-It is such a simply idea but it has been needed for so long
-Not only to I get to see how much I will be paid on my next check, but I get to see why

Spiff is great
We use it to keep track of commissions and to make sure I get paid for everything I should get paid on.
Avantages
It is very easy to login and have all of my commissions already calculated. No more doing all the math on my end to make sure things are correct.
Inconvénients
The only thing I could complain about is that everything is linked to Salesforce so if something in Salesforce is not right then it will reflect in Spiff the same way.

Love being able to easily see where I'm at for the week/month, etc.
Avantages
We just started using Spiff and so far I love it! It's so nice to be able to access everything all in once place. No more excel spreadsheets, etc. Just a clean dashboard and easy access to view my commissions quickly.
Inconvénients
I'd love to see quarterly bonuses added to the platform so I can view those as well.

Spiff is a saver
It's been great. Like mentioned above its just a time saver, easy to use and track so I don't have to do it and it has a nice interface.

I love it because its simple, very structured and I dont have to track everything on a spreadsheet and guess my commissions. This is awesome

Nothing really, a suggestion would be a mobile application but sounds like thats in the works already.

Great way to free up some time
Avantages
Spiff automates so many tasks related to sales commissions that we did manually previously. It also makes it easy to change the compensation plan when needed and gives transparency to reps.
Inconvénients
I don't ever like adding to the number of different software platforms that we use. In this case the benefits far outweigh this drawback however.
