The Product I Didn’t know I Needed

So far, I am incredibly impressed and I look forward to unlocking the full potential of what they offer my business.

Avantages

Lodgify solved several issues I was experiencing with hands-on management of multiple vacation rentals. The consolidation of management across platforms coupled with their website builder that allows guests to book directly through my site made this an easy decision.

Inconvénients

The price seemed a bit high initially when deciding to make the purchase, but I have to commend their onboarding and support teams for being worth every penny when you need the assistance.

Priceless!

Avantages

The onboarding support I received in setting up our Lodgify account, channels, and website was worth more than the cost of the subscription. I could have stumbled through it myself for months and not gained the insights that [sensitive content hidden] gave me in three onboarding sessions. After working with her, I am confident in managing our property via Lodgify across all channels.

Inconvénients

None. I had a great experience and have not yet found any cons.

Good User Experience,

Avantages

The software does what I need at the moment with only a few renal units. The website feature is a good start-up option. I would recommend to those just starting out.

Inconvénients

I have only really started to use it properly, so far nothing to note.

Excellent onboarding assistance and very open minded company

We use to work with another channel manager and PMS. We had many search to find something match with our expections. Finally we find Lodgify team to help us.. Thanks for their support and excellent onboarding sessions with [sensitive content hidden]..

Inconvénients

Notting. any problems or requires of ours were listened by the lodgify specialists. They are very user friendly and looking forward to match with your expectation.

Un sistema intuitivo de gestión de alquiler vacacional

Es un producto fácil de utilizar, centraliza emails, reservas, calendario, etc en un solo lugar, lo que facilita la gestión de la propiedad. Lo mejor: página web incluida en el servicio, que desarrollas a tu gusto, de forma fácil e intuitiva.

Inconvénients

Saber que Airbnb sube a un 15% su fee cuando detecta que has conectado un software de gestión de propiedades, nosotros no lo sabíamos y fue una sorpresa. Pero se puede compensar con mark-up.

Lodgify is a good product

Good product for managing listings

Avantages

Integrates with PriceLabs well, allows me to manage listings on different booking marketplaces easily

Inconvénients

Customer service is required for lodgify to operate correctly which I didnt know when I first joined

AMAZING and Thrilled with lodgify!!!

I can manage all my bookings in one place and the lodgify team is AMAZING! They are always quick to respond and fix or help you fix any problems you may have.

Lodgify is easy to use and priced right for the little guy

I'm using Lodgify to sync calendars between VRBO and Airbnb and make a direct booking site for our STR.

Avantages

The interphase is easy to use and learn. Logify's onboarding team was fantastic and the onboarding training calls were sooooo helpful.

Inconvénients

So far I don't have any. Everything I am looking for is included in Logify.

Great initial experience with Lodgify

Really great so far and the onboarding call was fantastic and so valuable in highlighting all of the additional features I wasn't aware of.

Avantages

The platform is easy to use but when questions arise, the support team have always been quick to respond & resolve.The free on-boarding call is amazing and highlighted many aspects I'd not yet considered. Thanks [sensitive content hidden] for the call & your expertise!

Inconvénients

Sometimes when attempting to connect to other channels (e.g. in my case Vrbo) Lodgify puts you in a continuous loop of going through the same screens over & over again.What is actually happening is that its waiting for Vrbo onboarding team to do their bit. It's only through contacting Lodgify support that I found this out. It's just a tech glitch but Lodgify clarified this when I got in contact with them.

Lack of customer service knowledge lost me a booking

I recently lost an Airbnb booking due to support being closed, and INCORRECT information from the agent I reached the next morning. There was a deposit requested on my potential Airbnb booking. I wanted it removed, and the agent insisted my policies said there would be no deposit requested, and the issue was with Airbnb. It was not. I figured out MYSELF that the deposit setting was in the channel manager tab. I also had unresolved issues connecting VRBO. I was willing to pay for the month of the service I used, but felt it was fair I be refunded for the 11 months I would not be using the service, as it was a hindrance to bookings, and therefore not delivering the service I was paying for. Lodgify said they would not refund me, since I was outside of the 14 day grace period. Their customer service failed me around week 3, which is why I hadn’t cancelled sooner.

Avantages

I liked how the website was integrated with my booking calendar.

Inconvénients

Customer service hours didn’t fit my needs, customer service couldn’t answer question and blamed my issue (incorrectly) on AirBnB.

Outstanding Value

Overall, I am incredibly happy. The sales team answered all of my questions and the tech team has been very responsive to all of my requests (equally pre and post subscription). I can't emphasize how happy I am to be able to talk directly to knowledgeable tech staff--this is so rare these days. The software satisfies of my existing needs and has more functionality when I'm ready to grow.

Avantages

- very intuitive to create listings and set the various attributes- out of the box integration with major channels.. most notably airbnb/vrbo- custom automated messages / scheduling (this is huge)- granular pricing model vs. banded (e.g. you pay for the exact number of properties rather than big jumps at say 5, 10, 25 properties)- no setup fee (or if there was one it was so small that I don't remember)

Inconvénients

- One technical issues on the backend (admin interface) is localization tags not being rendered (e.g it prints site.business.name instead of the actual business name). However, this is usually fixed with a refresh. I was initially concerned that it may impact potential guests but the tech team reassured me the tags were rendered on the server for bookings so that could never happen.- One nice addition to the custom messages (and perhaps it already exists) would be a way to confirm when it had been sent (either via an optional Cc: or a report in the interface)- Would be nice if it directly supported the RemoteLock API

Lodgify review

Ease of use, no more going into three different booking sites so make changes

Inconvénients

I haven't been using it that long, but I wish the calendar would show me the whole month view as in a regular calendar not this horizontal bar so that I can have a bird's eye view of my bookings for a specific month

Great way to manage all platforms in one plae plus create your own website.

Avantages

I like that I can create my own website. I also like that I can control rates across all platforms in one place.

Inconvénients

I would like to see the ability to set messages / automatic responses for specific times. Some say 0 days before check in. I would like to be able to send a welcome message at 8pm the day of check in.

Great On-boarding, Professionalism and Detailed Communication with Lodgify

Great experience with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] from Lodgify in properly setting up my account. There are so many nuances to correctly interacting with all the booking channels from one online platform (such as Lodgify). I'm delighted that Lodgify took initiative to guide me, the end-user, through the setup and on-boarding. A few mishaps and one would stand to lose substantial amount of money. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable and detailed with follow-ups, addressing concerns and outlining our previous discussions and how-tos. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was very easy to work with and to relate to. I definitely felt that I was very important to [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and Lodgify as a customer.

Avantages

Multiple features, besides booking calendar synchronization. Way more than I could ever have dreamed up on my own. The ability to communicate from one platform for incoming and outgoing is paramount.

Inconvénients

I wish there was a uniform and consistent way to communicate with all the booking channels but that's an issue with the booking channels and the way they operate, not Lodgify's.

Great site for holiday rentals

Very positive and have already recommended to others.

Very unprofessional company

Thieves! Watch out!Thieves! Be careful with this company! Their free plan is not free and they charge you a booking fee, I have my rental on AirBnB and VRBO and I want a channel manager to manage everything in one place, I managed to connect my Airbnb account but VRBO never worked and they did not provide any help to get the connection up and running. I never used the platform because was pointless and I continued to work on both Airbnb and VRBO platforms and not VRBO since Lodigfy connection VRBO never worked. For my surprise they started sending me invoices for bookings I was receiving directly on AirBnB platform and I then I raised several complaints and asked my account to be deleted and closed along with my data. They did not cancel my account nor deleted my details and on top of that left a connection open to my PayPal and after 4 months they ripped me off more than £700 after my account was "closed" according to the customer service person.

Nothing worked well, VRBO connection never went live nor did I receive any support. Pointless software

However, as stipulated in our Terms and Conditions of our Lite plan, when you cancel your Lodgify subscription, all bookings received in Lodgify that are subject to the Booking Fee with a departure date in the future but prior to the contract expiry date, will continue to be billed. Once your contract has expired, all outstanding bookings that have a departure date after the contract expiry date will become eligible to be charged immediately and will be billed.

We apologize for any confusion with the invoice and booking fees. We would like to stress that you were not charged more than you should have been. If you review the invoice, you'll see that you were charged for the booking fees in August, September, and October.

Good but not great yet

Great for helping organize properties

Avantages

User friendly, good customer support, but needs a little tweaking. Intergration of new properties is a little clunky. Once you are up and running it is smooth.

Inconvénients

Accounting section needs a little help in regards to owner statements. Impossible to customize or let an owner view their statement privately, either they see none or everyone’s.

Excellent Short-Term Rental Software

Overall, I'm thrilled that I chose Lodgify to build and grow my direct rental business! I would highly recommend it to any vacation rental owner.

Avantages

The product is very intuitive and easy to use. Whenever I get stuck on something, Lodgify's customer service is fast and comprehensive. Additional features and add-on partners keep being released and added to the platform. I also really appreciate the education tools, blogs, webinars and more to help me improve my business. And I love the new mobile app.

Inconvénients

I wanted some additional website builder templates to choose from, but new ones are about to be released by Lodgify, so I'm really looking forward to that.

Disappointed

I feel like I was oversold on Lodgify's capabilities. Lodgify does not have an adequate integrated solution. I am going to continue my annual purchase but only as a standalone direct booking option.

Avantages

I liked that the website was fairly easy to setup. I like the look and feel in general for the website and that it seems similar to Airbnb and VRBO.

Inconvénients

I was very disappointed to find that the integration was not as advertised. There were serious limitations and I found that there were large negotiated differences in how it integrated with Airbnb and VRBO. I mainly joined to be able to use automated messages all in one place and be able to add direct booking. I quickly found lots of software bugs that seemingly will never end as Airbnb and VRBO will never stop tweaking their web interfaces and cause future problems.

It's just not working for us anymore.

Intensely frustrating.

It delivers the basics necessary to take reservations, communicate with guests and receive payments--when it's working property.

Inconvénients

I hardly know where to begin, but what brought me to the point of writing this review is a week of frustrated emails from would-be guests complaining that they cannot complete a reservation through our website. In a handful of cases, they've contacted us through a booking request, and we have no way of replying or even extracting their contact info because the back end is broken in some seemingly fatal way, so as far as they know, we're dead. We've submitted no fewer than a dozen requests for help over the last week, and although the help staff are responsive, they're ineffective, and the solutions they recommend rarely actually resolve any of the problems we report. In the three years we've used them, there has been modest improvement in the UI and general performance, but at least once a year, we experience a meltdown like the one that brought me to write this review. We've finally decided to give up, and we wouldn't think of recommending them to others. I find it particularly galling that their ads are constantly showing up in my social feeds while the product itself is so seriously flawed.

Lodgify - Don’t do it.

This company took my money and did not follow through on anything they promised. Important items such as calendar, sees, daily rate and even photos as well as synching to vrbo at all did not work .

I had high hopes for this toll but it turned out to be a nightmare. They didn’t follow through on anything they promised and communication was awful.

Inconvénients

I want anyone/everyone the time, money and trouble that I have had. Please DO NOT choose #Lodgify as a third party to sync your calendar or do billing or business with. They took my money and did not deliver on anything they promised. The service has been horrible and they have hurt my business greatly. A total waste of time and money. **PROOF of the worst part attached. I may lose my entire VRBO for choosing to work with the wrong company.***-Rates, calendars and photos did NOT sync. (lost money for daily rate, pets fees and double booking)-Now that I am quitting they tell me I can LOSE my VRBO account if I leave (I was NEVER told that and had I been I would have never used their service).-The onboarding was extremely complicated and not user friendly-The communication and responsiveness was awful and took days (one issue took 5 days)-Every time there was an issue there was an excuse, blaming Airbnb, blaming VRBO or saying something was "not done" that they never told me to do.

Lodgify review from a property manager

Inconvénients

- Support only offered after 8:00pm for Australians.

- Photo uploads for tasks is a horrible feature that needs to be enhanced ASAP

- The on-boarding calls could have been split up into shorter segments. I had a 2.5 hour on-boarding call and was so drained by the end i didn't really understand an important section of the topic accounting. I had to go in and research on my own accord and contact the support after 8:00pm and was denied an extra on-boarding call specific for accounting.

- International Bank Fee is an extra charge from Australian Bank Accounts

- Airbnb charge specific countries who use API connection such as PSM platforms between 14%-16% compared to the standard 3%. This is not Lodgify's fault however It should be mentioned when signing up.

- Option integrate with apps such as Xero and Bank Account syncs would be a great feature

Beginning Stages

As I stated earlier, I am only now getting my properties online. So I cannot give an honest, in-depth perspective. But thus far, from what I have been shown and experienced through the live onboarding process, along with their customer care services and online learning resources, it is hard to critique such a robust platform at this stage of my experience. I again am blown away at the level of detail to possible use cases and scenarios that I as a Property Manager will undoubtedly experience. Lodgify seemed to have covered all the bases of a rental property management platform.

Avantages

Having only begun the process of using this platform, I have yet to test drive it in a real-world application. With that said, going through the training with their onboarding expert in real-time, I can say that this is developed by top-tier coders with some serious consideration for UI/UX on both ends of the user interface (Admin and Renter). Its incredibly nuanced, which may seem daunting at first but it is imperative to have this level of nuance as Lodgify covers nearly if not all aspects of the short-stay rental market from back end to front end and everything in between. I am genuinely blown away at pricing as well. The price is Very Very fair and only get better as you increase the property count to the inventory. They seem to really understand the business and having this onboarding process allowed me to learn more about the business I am in, which is invaluable. This platform is a crucial piece in the puzzle for our operations and I cannot wait to better understand it and learn to utilize it to its full intended potential.

And how can I forget, the Website integration is by far the single greatest aspect of Lodgify. The ease with which you can copy or create a domain to their website builder and post a full functioning website with a full-service booking ability is tremendous. I was worried about having to figure out how to integrate Lodgify into an existing website, so instead of building a website, I used their templates, and Voila!

Inconvénients

I recently was a bit bummed about the app translation to tablets. I think with the way of the world focusing on portable devices as the main interface for our businesses, Lodgify should invest some serious time and energy into building out a smooth tablet interface and possibly even lessening the number of apps required to see/run full operations that are currently solely available through a browser. I've no doubt this can be achieved because I am seriously impressed with their backend infrastructure and I can see a lot of talent in their Full-Stack staff. A bit more focus on UX/UI in the portable device space and I believe Lodgify would completely dominate this space.

Lodgify saves time, improves consistency

Lodgify immediately synchronizes the rental property calendars across all channels, ensuring that customers, owners / users, and team members have the same data. This ensures that everyone has a consistent view of property status while allowing all involved to quickly and efficiently plan their activities and immediately adjust to new circumstances such as short-notice rentals or unplanned repairs and maintenance. It also keeps the property attributes updated so that customers aren't surprised by seasonal changes in amenities, etc.

Avantages

Based upon a recommendation from a friend, we built our short term rental business around Lodgify and its channel management capabilities. This allows us to do things once and implement them across all channels, allowing us to have a consistent branding across all channels and to quickly respond to customers with minimal delay and effort. I can't imagine how busy we'd be, and how frustrated, if we didn't have such a capable channel management software.

Integration with our banking, credit card, and payment systems, and with Airbnb, was extremely quick and easy to set up, and has worked flawlessly since setup. Very happy with all aspects.

Due to difficulties with one channel's software, we were unable to set up the connection between that channel and Lodgify, even after repeated efforts by me, and the very responsive and always helpful Lodgify Integration Team, to try to get everything right. If that channel's team can get things working properly, the Lodgify team will have the connection up and running within a day or less. The point is that the Lodgify team will go above and beyond to help their customers!

Inconvénients

The Lodgify app works well to review and manage the calendar / reservations, but needs the property and listing management functionality available via browser - I need to be able to manage the listing when I only have my phone. Keep it easy on developers and owners / users - use the exact same look and workflow so that we don't need to sustain and learn different products / versions.

Lodgify has been a great partner since we went solo without using our property developer's rental company to let our rental. It has given us more control over our business, with more satisfaction, better financial reward. The customer service at Lodgify is fantastic, whether you call them or email -- they are always there to help and the team are just fantastic.

If you are a holiday property owner, whether hotel or villa rental, Lodgify provides you with the tools to create and maintain a web presence that allows you to access new customers, give them the information they want with professional looking pages, and price your property by week or day, create check-in/check-out periods seamlessly and allow for a customer to book online and pay by credit card or BACS without any hassle. Your business looks more professional and your management will be made easier by the backend tools that help you manage your bookings, taking damage deposits automatically, reminding guests to pay their balance, synch calendars with your third party booking sites (like AirBnB, VRBO, etc.). It is just a well thought out product and I would highly recommend it.

Inconvénients

There isn't anything I don't like. It works well for me and my business.

Don't expect much help

Honestly, the software would have been sufficient enough had the customer service been able to handle issues in a timelier manner. I'm the first to avoid calling customer service for anything that I think can be handled via message or email but never having the opportunity to connect with anyone was onboarding was over just doesn't cut it when there are so many other options to pick from.

Avantages

The product integrated easily at first but updates caused issues with channels that resulted in thousands of dollars of lost revenue.

Inconvénients

There is zero customer service. Have a problem, send an email...get a response the next day. Didn't answer all of your questions, write another email...wait another day. There is no one to call. They are based in London and all of the payment/cancellations policies reflected their time zone. So due dates for second payments were processed at midnight London time which means they went through the day before where I am located. Customers were not happy. Also, there is no option for guests to change their credit card info, so if the card on file fails when the damage deposit was due, the suggestion from lodgify was to "make other arrangements" with the guest. Communication from Lodgify was also a problem. There was an issue with the cloud system where I was locked out of the software for almost 3 hours and had multiple guests arriving but could not get in to make sure message were sent or if anyone experienced any issues. Lodgify sent an email letting us know of the problem and that it "wasn't their fault" almost 18 hours after I was able to log in again.

Worst software company ive ever had to deal with!

The worst company I have ever had to deal with in my whole working career!

Avantages

Absolutely nothing! The software is very buggy, VERY slow and really limits what you can do with your website/business.

Inconvénients

The company does not care about their customers. I stopped using it a long time ago and would not recommend it to anyone..not even to my biggest competitor or worst enemy!

Customer service (if you can call it that) is non-existent, account managers have almost no product knowledge so they just treat you like nothing as they don't know anything. Absolutely rude! I would be surprised if they are around much longer..... If your looking for a reliable solution for your business STAY AWAY from Lodgify! There are so many better options out there by doing a quick Google search.

Great Property Management software for vacation rentals!

I've been with Lodgify for several years and have been impressed with their continued improvements and enhancements in the software and they have options that make it very affordable even if you only have one property or multiple properties.

Avantages

The new property management modules give so many options there are too many to mention but they have everything needed to successfully operate a short-term/vacation rental business.

Inconvénients

The payment integration with AirBnB needs a little tweaking as payments from AirBnB don't include taxes since they pay taxing authorities directly but the integration reports the taxes as income on the software side and consequently appears to leave a balance owed on the part of the guest. The only two options are to leave the balance showing or to enter a payment even though there was not a payment for that component. I'm not certain if it is anything that Lodgify can do anything about or if it needs to be AirBnB or both.

Poor customer service, poor website builder, broken implementation process, would not...

Overall, after all that has happened with the implementation process deleting bookings and blocks in my calendar, the lack of care in customer service, and my listing only live for five days before I requested to cancel (then denied the refund), I cannot be more dissatisfied. Once I started having issues with the implementation process and emailed support, it almost sounded like they were annoyed with me even asking.

After requesting to cancel, it was like I was the bad guy and they fought for their annual subscription from me. Their policy was 7 days full-refund, but since the implementation process took a week and a half, they kept my subscription. It took another 11 days after requesting to cancel before Lodgify was disconnected and I was able to access my calendar on VRBO. Also note, VRBO disconnected the connection since Lodgify was unresponsive.

As for the website builder (their claim to fame), it is severely rudimentary. For a business that could net $200K-$300K over a handful of properties from all online sales, this website would turn me off as a guest and I would be skeptical. The builder is very broken, slow, and does not work fluently like you would expect.

Again, customer service has been the worst I have experienced with any company.

Avantages

The website builder was the main reason why we wanted to go forward with this software. Although we never got the chance to integrate it in to our own website, the thought of being able to replicate VRBO or Airbnb on our own website without paying the royalties would have been a huge benefit.

The API connection process with PriceLabs was very simple. Took about five minutes.

Inconvénients

Integration process: This was the most difficult software integration I have ever experienced. Between the 5-8 day leeway in customer service response and the hoops you have to jump, be prepared to go for a very frustrating ride. I subscribed to Lodgify, then it took nearly two weeks to go live with VRBO because of their process. Once my listing finally went live, my booked calendar was partially deleted without notice, allowing guests to create bookings during times that were not available. I had 4 bookings created during times that were unavailable, all within 30 minutes. Customer service was unresponsive, it took 5 days for them to respond after calling (went straight to voicemail, yes they have voicemail) and by email.

Set up: The process to set up the system was very awkward. You not only had to build the listing in VRBO, you also had to directly replicate the listing in Lodgify. I then later found out that Lodgify, due to how the systems communicate with each other, Lodgify supersedes any communication from VRBO. Therefore, most of my information on my listing was deleted.

***Very important point to note: Lodgify DOES NOT read the calendar off of VRBO. If a guest is interested in your property, they inquire on a date, VRBO then checks Lodgify to see if the dates are available, and then responds back that the dates are unavailable, then confusing the guest. I have had dozens of guests message me about dates that were unavailable and were confused and frustrated.

Terrible company

Initially (years ago) was good customer service/account managers. Now its possibly the worst company ive had to deal with. Completely arrogant, not interested and focused on profits not the product/experience.

Ask for help and expect to be told that they will be increasing the price.. contact senior management and expect your emails to be read and ignored.

Dont get sucked in... plenty of better alternatives! We switched our properties to Tokeet and it is allot cheaper, has more features and amazing customer support. I doubt Lodgify will survive long with their attitude towards their clients.

Reservation system is okay but does not help if they provide a terrible website that does not convert

Inconvénients

Customer service is horrible! Greedy company only care about increasing their profits (years ago this was not the case) they seem to think and act like they are a large corporation now and dont need to help you.

Great for taking direct bookings and great integration with multiple channels and pricing...

Have received quite a few direct bookings for which I charge more but still save the guests money since the AirBnB guest fee is very high.

Avantages

• Website was really easy to set up to take direct bookings and allows customization. I set it up on my own and had it ready to go in just a couple of days.
• Great blogs with tips on set up and other ways to improve your business.
• Integration with Pricelabs, AirBnB, VRBO, and booking.com are great - Lodgify takes prices from pricelabs and moves those to VRBO since VRBO and pricelabs do not have integration
• Payment processing is expensive but works well
• New integrations and features happen quite often
• Customer support is very responsive
I first tried Tokeet, then Beds24 and then switched to Lodgify which has been much better.

Inconvénients

• Software doesn't allow monthly automatic charging for guests who book for a few months at a time which is something AirBnB does so makes it hard to convert these types of guests to direct bookings. Contractors get paid monthly from their company so want to be able to pay monthly also so I need to manage these payments manually.
• There is an ability to create canned messages but no way to schedule these to send automatically. There should be a way to send messages automatically when a booking is made, before and after check-in for example. I use SmartBnB for this now which works great for AirBnB and VRBO but doesn't help for direct bookings.

From Lukewarm to Fan and Back to Luke Warm

The website looks good. The back end mobile experience has actually declined since we signed up, it was better before. Now it's buggy and you can't scroll down through messages etc. There are some things we've been very happy with, but overall lodgify gets 3 stars.

Avantages

My experience with lodgify started off very rocky. I wasn't happy with the features, experienced many crashes of the site in the first year that were very frustrating, and there were a few features that were broken entirely. Initially, I had the impression that they didn't have any intention of improving their software.

Now that I've been using lodgify for a year and a half there are many broken features that are now working. The coupon codes actually work on mobile now which is something we had contacted them about at least a dozen times.

Customer service responds quickly though there are delays because they are in Spain. There can also be some communication issues.

We are a long established company with a well recognized brand that has always taken bookings off of our website, for years before switching to lodgify. This is why the platforms functionality was even more important to us. We have over a dozen properties and do around half a million in revenue a year.

Inconvénients

Lodgify isn't exactly honest when you are signing up. We were told that if we signed up for the yearly subscription of $1,100 that we would be locked into that price for life. Well, just two years later and they raised the price $472.00 and told us that they would not be honoring their promised of their lifetime locked in price. They said that their website had been much improved since we signed up and used that as the reason for their price hike. Honestly though, nothing has changed on their website aside from a few broken features actually being fixed. They also charge $1,200 a year to integrate to stripe, so just to use lodgify you are looking at use shy of 3 grand if you have less than 15 properties. That on top of the 2.9% processing fees you are already paying with stripe.

Our biggest disappointment with Lodgify came about a month ago when they decided to publish a blog that they sent to all of their email subscribers. In their blog they used our business and claimed our success was due to building a website with lodgify---a tall claim considering we only use their reservation system and we were a nationally recognized brand long before we ever adopted their software. In the blog they linked to our website, used our copyrighted photos without permission, and encouraged others to copy our very unique business model.

In conclusion: Not a lot of integrity with lodgify in our experience. We like the reservation system but there is still room for improvement.

Lodgify was easy to integrate in our daily business processes and basically runs our business.

Avantages

After 4 years of research we finally found Lodgify. (If not we would probably hired a Indian hacker team to create it)

It provides nearly everything we need to run our apartment house in the digital world.

After some time in customizing it to our needs, it works fine for our apartment house.
Since we have swiched from Seekda/Kognitiv we have increased our sale with more than 300% through using the booking engine of Lodgify. An answer to that could be the user friendly and responsive 3 step process. But we dont use the website function of Lodgify (see Cons)

It works perfectly with booking.com and runs without any problem so far . (not any single issue since 1 year)

Lodgify extended our demo for free to get to know each detail of its software by heart before going live with our 6 Apartments on 4 channels. (booking, airbnb, homeaway, website)

If you know your business processes, prices, cancellation policy and you have your pictures and descriptions ready, you can set up Lodgify as your PMS and channel manager within a day. (after you know the software)

The credit card payment process via Stripe or Paypal are expensive but are working without any issue.

Inconvénients

There is only a limited number of global OTAs provided in the channelmanager of Lodgify. Of course booking.com (Priceline) as the biggest player is on board, but we are missing Expedia second player on the market.

Support is good but sometimes doesnt get your point what you are requesting. (maybe language issues)

We requested a new channel which is probably the most important one in Austria (Feratel) and customer support and Feratel support told us in July that there are testing and providing the channel until the end of summer. Now it is 2018 and new people at Lodgify support tell us, that they never worked on a channel manager with Feratel! Very confusing and hard to argue all the time.

It would be great to have some kind of WYSIWYG Editor to customize the Email communication with customers, since this is very hard to understand if your are not into HTML/PHP and working with variables.

Bookings via Airbnb need sometimes more than 5 hours prior that they are blocked in the calendar. If someone else would book in the same period of time, you really have a problem. (never happend to us, but if?)

We dont use the website cause there are some big SEO issues with image-titles etc. where the customer support did not understand the problem.
So we prefer to have our own website and use the Lodgify booking engine just for the booking process itself.

After saying all that little issues, where we hope Lodgify will optimize within the next years, we are very happy.

A game changer for vacation rentals

Avantages

Relatively simple to use. I was able to set up my site and reservation system in less than a week. Site works extremely well on mobile devices (which is huge). I am starting to get a lot of direct online bookings which is amazing. The customer service is very good - I have asked several detailed how-to questions. In one case, I wanted to do something that is not part of the Lodgify product. The service rep researched other ways to accomplish the task and integrate into my site. She sent me detailed instructions and even links to assist me. Not many companies will take the time to do that!

Finally, the workflow aspect of the reservation system is a huge time saver. It is so nice to be able to set up automatic payment reminders, send rental agreements and canned emails automatically! Gives me time to worry about running my business and expanding the website instead of doing all the manual processes associated with bookings.

Inconvénients

Some of the widgets are a little restrictive. I have managed to work around most of them.

My only other complaint is that if you respond to an inquiry with a quote, the system automatically blocks the dates with a tentative booking. I sync my HomeAway, VRBO etc calendars with my Lodgify calendar, so the tentative block causes those calendars to show unavailable. In this business, the conversion rate on inquiries is not high enough to block dates simply because someone sent an inquiry.

Besides the easy to use software & beautiful templates, young Lodgify is the right business...

The professional looking website generates the right customer for us. And the easy to use software saves a lot time, doing stupid labor (administrating things). :))

Avantages

Easy to use web building templates with a beautiful design which are the perfect base to create one own professional website. We always get good critics about the looks of our website of Villa d'Arnaud! Besides that the features in the booking system are easy to use and mostly adequate. The calender with het overall view is highly appreciated and now that you can easily click on the booking and acces the booking information, we love it even more. With the auto mails and easy adding bookings to the system, we save ourselves a lot of time. To create a offer or a bill is very easy. The CCV files with all booking information comes in handy for bookkeeping. And what we value is the customer support. They always respond quickly and we noticed that they're open to suggestions for improvement of certain features. Apart from the software a openminded, young, dynamic organisation, that values the relations with their customers and always try to improve their services and product, is the right partner for us. This is exactly how we operate and like our partners to operate. And that's exactly what it feels like: that we're partners. Please never loose that Lodgify team: that's what distinguishes you from the rest. We carefully choose you around 5 years ago and we never regretted our choice. If you ever want to brainstorm about new features or want to test things, we gladly would help you. It's in this perspective that we wrote down 5 points of improvement. ;)

Inconvénients

We have got some tips for you guys:
1. Please don't give us so many language possibilities for the automatic emails. Every time a obscure language is added I have to replace your suggested text with ours. And because there are so many different type of emails, one extra language costs me at least 2 hours of boring labor. Or at least give us the opportunity to choose in which languages people can get a response by email.
2. Please add the possibility of a secured environment for guests to leave their credit card information including CVC code, so that we can debit the card for payments. For us this would be the real step forward!
3. Ad a column to the CVC files with the payment method (comes in very handy with bookkeeping).
4. When marking a booking as payed, instead of adding the payment manualy, at the moment it's not possible to add the payment method. I solve the problem by adding a note. But when downloading the CVC-file a have to add the payment method manualy. It takes a lot of work, which can be solved by adding the column Payment Method in the options for the CVC-file in combination with the possibility of adding the payment method as an option, when marking the booking as payed.
5. Can there be a rainbow flag icon added, so that we can easily show on the homepage that we're gay friendly? This weekend we're gonna try for the second time to ad one ourselves. Fingers crossed that we will succeed this time. ;))
